Van Hook, J. C., & Howard, A. M. (Eds.). (2017). Foreign Relations of the United States, 1952-1954, Iran, 1951–1954.United States Government Publishing Office. Full text via US State Department Office of the Historian
This is one of many volumes in the Foreign Relations of the United States series, the official documentary historical record of major foreign policy decisions and significant diplomatic activity of the United States Government. These histories incorporate an incredible number of US Department of State, CIA, and Department of Defense documents, arranged in chronological and thematic order, which improves their longevity and accessibility. This particular volume addresses US Foreign Relations with Iran from 1951-1954, during the presidential administrations of both Harry Truman and Dwight Eisenhower. These documents illustrate attitudes of US diplomats, politicians, and government employees towards Iran in the Cold War environment and, ultimately, their reasoning for instigating and backing a coup of Iranian Prime Minister, Mohammad Mosaddegh (also spelled as Mosadeq) in 1953.
The following, deeply ironic, quote comes from a memorandum from the Officer in Charge of Iranian Affairs, Office of Greek, Turkish, and Iranian Affairs (Stutesman) to the Director of the Office of Greek, Turkish, and Iranian Affairs, Bureau of Near Eastern, South Asian, and African Affairs (Richards) addressing what measures the US Government might take in support of a successor government to Mosadeq:
“It would be literally fatal to any non-communist successor to Mosadeq if the Iranian public gained an impression that the new premier was a “foreign tool”. The U.S. Government should confine any comment upon a change in government in Iran to a repetition of our traditional unwillingness to interfere in the internal affairs of a free country and our willingness to work with the government in power.”

Hey so I'm a self-taught witch who practices independently and I was hoping to learn a little bit from others as well. Do you have any books/resources/people you recommend looking into?
Hi there!
I'm a self-taught witch as well and I'm still at the beginning of my journey, at the moment I'm yet to finish the big blue book Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft of which I'm also sharing the lessons (you can find tose posts in my archive here) so for now I can only really recommend that one, but I'm marking down all the recommendend supplementary redings at the end of every lesson if you wanna check them out!
I'm also reading a very interesting and complete book about tarot called Holistic Tarot which i really recommend, it's a bit expensive maybe but it's totally worth it
Other than that I can write down here the list of recommended reading at the end of the blue book (with extra books other than the ones already listed at the end of every lesson), I can't recommend those personally (even if I did buy some of them but I still have to read them) but I think they're worth a shot if you'd like to know more, I'll add the other two I mentioned above in the list, in any case if you find other books online read carefully all the reviews cause many books are not serious about this topic
Also I'm not sure but I think these books below are all from white people and mainly about white cultures (and most of them are very old), so If you (or anyone else) have some recommendations about other cultures' book about witchcraft or ancient traditions I'd be glad to know more about that too!
As for people and other resources, I follow some witches on Twitter that shares interesting stuff, it would be too long to link all of their profiles so I can give you directly the list of people I follow here
I hope you'll find this helpful~

Jeremy and Laura give incredible performances, as does Joshua Henry and too many others to name. Jason Robert Brown gives a speech after the curtain call. Truly an epic night of theatre. This is a very near perfect video with no obstruction and only slight washout in wide shots. There are two quick dropouts in the first few minutes, but the concert is otherwise fully captured. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, Jason’s speech, and playbill scans. Much improved from Chicago version. Includes performance on the the View. A+ The Pirate Queen - Pre-Broadway / Chicago - October 8, 2006 FORMAT:  MP4 (SD) |  TRADER'S NOTES: PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST. Working on uploading :) CAST: Stephanie J Block (Grace (Gráinne) O'Malley), Linda Balgord (Queen Elizabeth I), Hadley Fraser (Tiernan), Marcus Chait (Donal O'Flaherty), Jeff McCarthy (Dubhdara), William Youmans (Sir Richard Bingham) The Play That Goes Wrong - Broadway - May, 2018 (NYCG8R's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Mark Evans (Chris Bean), Preston Truman Boyd (Robert Grove), Jonathan Fielding (Jonathan Harris), Amelia McClain (Sandra Wilkinson), Alex Mandell (Max Bennett), Harrison Unger (Dennis Tyde), Ashley Bryant (Annie Twilliol), Akron Watson (Trevor Watson) NOTES: (not Master's notes) Beginning from pre-show where the comedy 'bit' of the set breaking starts. Throughout, very clearly shot with no obstructions, in a mixture of wides and closes, following the action well. I think it's shot from the front of the circle. Once or twice the camera falls but never during key moments, and is quickly fixed. No long blackouts. Audience energy is great. The Play That Goes Wrong - West End (Duchess Theatre) - March, 2020 (hitmewithyourbethshot's master) FORMAT:  MTS CAST: Ross Green (Chris Bean), Tom Bulpett (s/b Robert Grove), James Watterson (e/c Jonathan Harris), Ellie Morris (Sandra Wilkinson), Milo Clarke (Max Bennett), Michael Keene (Dennis Tyde), Leah Penston (s/b Annie Twilliol), Blayar Benn (Trevor Watson) Pokémon Live! - First National Tour - December 30, 2000 (House-Cam's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (SD) CAST: Dominic Nolfi (Ash Ketchum), Heidi Michelle Weyhmueller (Misty), Dennis Kenney (Brock), Darren Dunstan (Giovanni), Lauren Kling (Jessie), Andrew Rannells (James), Dee Roscioli (Delia Ketchum), Patrick Frankfort (Professor Oak), Jennifer Risser (Pikachu), Kathleen Roche (Meowth), Leah Smith (Psyduck), Shaun Bradley (Mewtwo), Leah Smith (Jigglypuff), Natalie Weld (Nurse Joy), Suzanne Wogisch (Officer Jenny), Sinclair Mitchell (Dexter) NOTES: HOUSE-CAM and soundboard. Shot from the back of the theatre with some washout. Upgraded file with audience heads cut out and cropped image retaining all action Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience - Off-Broadway - May 23, 2012 FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Daniel Clarkson, Jefferson Turner NOTES: All seven Harry Potter books condensed into seventy minutes. Full/mid stage shot. Pretty Woman: The Musical - Broadway - January 16, 2019 FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Samantha Barks (Vivian Ward), Adam Pascal (t/r Edward Lewis), Jennifer Sanchez (u/s Kit De Luca) NOTES: A lot of washout. Wide shot. Shot from the mez. Pretty Woman: The Musical - Broadway - February, 2019 (NYCG8R's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Samantha Barks (Vivian Ward), Adam Pascal (Edward Lewis), Eric Anderson (Mr. Thompson/Happy Man), Jason Danieley (Philip Stuckey), Kingsley Leggs (James Morse), Orfeh (Kit De Luca), Tommy Bracco (Giulio) NOTES: (not Master notes) Seems a fantastic capture of the show. Virtually no dropouts, obstructions and spotlight washout. Filmed more centre than the preview recording by the same master; mix of wides, mediums and some closeups; very good capture of the sets and actor choreography. Both are worth watching. Pretty Woman: The Musical - Broadway - July, 2018 (Preview) (NYCG8R's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Samantha Barks (Vivian Ward), Andy Karl (Edward Lewis), Eric Anderson (Mr. Thompson/Happy Man), Jason Danieley (Philip Stuckey), Ezra Knight (James Morse), Orfeh (Kit De Luca), Allison Blackwell (Violetta), Tommy Bracco (Giulio), Brian Cali (Fred/Alfredo), Robby Clater (David Morse), Anna Eilinsfeld (Susan/Scarlett) NOTES: (not Master notes) Seems a fantastic capture of the show. Virtually no dropouts or obstructions. More spotlight washout than the Feb 2019 recording by the same master, but it's very minimal. Filmed at slight angle and with more closeups compared to the other recording. Very good capture of the actors' expressions. Both are worth watching. Pretty Woman: The Musical - Hamburg - September 25, 2019 (Preview) (Rumpel's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Patricia Meeden (Vivian Ward), Mark Seibert (Edward Lewis), Paul Kribbe (Mr. Thompson/Happy Man), Nigel Casey (Philip Stuckey), Frank Logemann (James Morse), Maricel (Kit De Luca) Pretty Woman: The Musical - Pre-Broadway/Chicago - April 13, 2018 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Samantha Barks (Vivian Ward), Steve Kazee (Edward Lewis), Eric Anderson (Mr. Thompson/Happy Man), Jason Danieley (Philip Stuckey), Kingsley Leggs (James Morse), Orfeh (Kit De Luca) NOTES: Beautiful HD capture of the PreBroadway production. This includes Steve as Edward before he left the production prior to Broadway. Such a fun show with terrific performances and a rare glimpse of Steve in the role! A Pride and Prejudice - TheatreWorks Silicon Valley - December, 2019 (Pro-Shot's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Mary Mattison (Elizabeth Bennet), Sharon Rietkerk (Jane Bennet), Justin Mortelliti (Fitzwilliam Darcy), Travis Leland (Charles Bingley), Monique Hafen (Caroline Bingley) NOTES: Streamed by TheaterMania on April 10, 2020. Hosted by Julie James, Laura Osnes, and Beth Leavel. The Prince of Egypt - West End - March 5, 2020 (BwaytoWestEnd's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Luke Brady (Moses), Liam Tamne (Ramses), Alexia Khadime (Miriam), Christine Allado (Tzipporah), Gary Wilmot (Jethro), Silas Wyatt-Barke (Aaron), Joe Dixon (Seti), Debbie Kurup (Queen Tuya), Tanisha Spring (Nefertari), Adam Pearce (Hotep), Mercedesz Csampai (Yocheved) NOTES: Approx 12 gb stageshot filmed from stalls. Audio is awful most of the time. Master of this is BwaytoWestEnd The Prince of Egypt - West End - February, 2020 (hitmewithyourbethshot's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Luke Brady (Moses), Liam Tamne (Ramses), Alexia Khadime (Miriam), Christine Allado (Tzipporah), Gary Wilmot (Jethro), Silas Wyatt-Barke (Aaron), Joe Dixon (Seti), Debbie Kurup (Queen Tuya), Tanisha Spring (Nefertari), Adam Pearce (Hotep), Mercedesz Csampai (Yocheved), Iman Pabani (Young Miriam/Leah/Young Hebrew Girl), Leo Babet (Young Aaron/Young Egyptian Boy/Young Midian Boy) NOTES: This video is never to be publicly shared on YouTube, tumblr, Facebook, Stage Dork etc. The Prince of Egypt - West End - February, 2020 (hitmewithyourbethshot's master)
FORMAT: video CAST: Luke Brady (Moses), Liam Tamne (Ramses), Alexia Khadime (Miriam), Christine Allado (Tzipporah), Gary Wilmot (Jethro), Silas Wyatt-Barke (Aaron), Joe Dixon (Seti), Debbie Kurup (Queen Tuya), Tanisha Spring (Nefertari), Adam Pearce (Hotep), Mercedesz Csampai (Yocheved), Iman Pabani (Young Miriam/Leah/Young Hebrew Girl), Leo Babet (Young Aaron/Young Egyptian Boy/Young Midian Boy) NOTES: This video is never to be publicly shared on YouTube, tumblr, Facebook, Stage Dork etc. The Producers - Hollywood Bowl - July 28, 2012 FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Richard Kind (Max Bialystock), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Leo Bloom), Gary Beach (Roger De Bris), Roger Bart (Carmen Ghia), Rebecca Romijn (Ulla), Dane Cook (Franz Liebkind) NOTES: Excellent capture of this year's Hollywood Bowl production. Action is followed well with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The first minute of the show is missing, and the next few minutes are a bit shaky with scattered blackouts, but after "The King of Broadway" it settles and the majority of the show is captured nicely. SPOILER: Before "Keep It Gay" started, when Roger says "What's the word?" someone from the audience shouted out "Gay" which sent the cast into a laughing fit. The Prom - Broadway - August 11, 2019 (Matinee) (Closing Night) (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Caitlin Kinnunen (Emma Nolan), Brooks Ashmanskas (Barry Glickman), Isabelle McCalla (Alyssa Greene), Beth Leavel (Dee Dee Allen), Christopher Sieber (Trent Oliver), Michael Genet (Mr. Hawkins), Angie Schworer (Angie), Courtenay Collins (Mrs. Greene), Josh Lamon (Sheldon Saperstein), Becca Lee (Kaylee), Kalyn West (Shelby), Teddy Toye (Nick), Josh Franklin (Motel Clerk), Drew Redington (Kevin), Courtney Balan (Olivia Keating), Anthony Norman, Brittany Conigatti, Fernell Hogan, Jack Sippel, Jerusha Cavazos, Joomin Hwang, Mary Antonini, Shelby Finnie, Sheldon Henry, Vasthy Mompoint NOTES: Gift upon request. Unobstructed closing performance with the full cast! Starts in the beginning of "Changing Lives" and is a little washed out. For whatever reason my camera was mad at me and didn't want to focus in the beginning of Act One. It warmed up and got better, and to be honest I opted for wider shots because everyone was doing crazy things and I didn't want to miss anything. I stood up for all but one of the standing ovations and when I did so I have no idea what my camera did or what it was looking at. I would say sorry but it wouldn't be true. I'm just so damn proud of all of these people. Please do not post this bootleg publicly! The Prom - Broadway - February, 2019 (NYCG8R's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Caitlin Kinnunen (Emma Nolan), Josh Lamon (u/s Barry Glickman), Isabelle McCalla (Alyssa Greene), Beth Leavel (Dee Dee Allen), Christopher Sieber (Trent Oliver), Michael Genet (Mr. Hawkins), Angie Schworer (Angie), Courtenay Collins (Mrs. Greene), David Josefsberg (u/s Sheldon Saperstein) NOTES: Excellent capture! Josh mistakenly mentions Alyssa in 'Tonight Belongs to You' despite not being meant to know her name at this point. The last three minutes of the show are from a different performance, during previews, with Brooks Ashmanskas as Barry and Josh Lamon as Sheldon, but it is a full video in total. The Prom - Broadway - March, 2019 (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Gabi Campo (u/s Emma Nolan), Brooks Ashmanskas (Barry Glickman), Isabelle McCalla (Alyssa Greene), Beth Leavel (Dee Dee Allen), Christopher Sieber (Trent Oliver), Michael Potts (Mr. Hawkins), Angie Schworer (Angie), Courtenay Collins (Mrs. Greene), David Josefsberg (u/s Sheldon Saperstein), Becca Lee (Kaylee), Susie Carroll (s/w Shelby), Teddy Toye (Nick), Drew Redington (Kevin), Courtney Balan (Olivia Keating) NOTES: This video starts at "Dance With You" and is super focused on Gabi. There are less heads in this than most of my videos and a railing that gets in the way occasionally, but they were mostly worked around. The cast as a whole is doing top notch work, though at times you can tell that Brooks and Izzy are just back from being sick. Overall this is a really great video of one of my favorite shows, and I'm really proud of myself for containing my crying at the end of act one. The Prom - Pre-Broadway / Atlanta - September 17, 2016 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Caitlin Kinnunen (Emma Nolan), Brooks Ashmanskas (Barry Glickman), Anna Grace Barlow (Alyssa Greene), Beth Leavel (Dee Dee Allen), Christopher Sieber (Trent Oliver), Martin Moran (Mr. Hawkins), Angie Schworer (Angie), Josh Lamon (Sheldon Saperstein) NOTES: Beautiful HD capture of the Pre-Broadway tryout. A really touching and funny new musical, led by a hilarious cast of Broadway veterans. A perfect mix of comedy and drama.

TRIGGER WARNING - DEATH, MURDER, MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
a e s t h e t i c s
fingers across keyboards and piano keys, m&m’s scattered, vintage gaming consoles and tangled wires, worn vans and broken skateboards, banging of drums and splintering drumsticks, deep rhythms beating with your heart, the hum of a hefty computer and the buzz of a monitor, green text against black screens, unruly hair unkempt, flannels filling closets, bloody baseball bats, posters lining up and down walls, loud punk music shaking the walls, glares and whispers, the suffocation that comes with loneliness, pills rattling in their bottles, unmade beds.
general info !!
full name: apollo casimir amoretto
nickname(s): caz, polly, lover boy, 2000 (b/c of his screen names lmaoo)
b.o.d. - january 31st, aquarius boi
label(s): the escapist, the hellion, the insurgent, the netizen, etc. etc.
height: hitting 6′0″
hometown: west ham, kansas !
sexuality: bi...? fucking. it’s pride month ofc he’s bi.
his stats are TBD but his pinterest is HERE !
biography !!
cristian amoretto and camilla silvestri had a romance that could be described turbulent at best, and down right explosive at worst
cristian, a native italian actor whose career began before he could walk, and camilla, the daughter of two italian immigrants with big dreams in a small town, met on the set of a coffee shop. their love story began quickly, dating within only a few months of knowing each other and engaged before the year was up
camilla walked down the aisle 6 months pregnant with lil’ baby apollo, who was then born in west ham, kansas, aka the town that camilla’s family had settled in
was raised primarily by his mother and grandparents! his father was often off shooting movies, leaving camilla to take on the role of stay-at-home mom despite her own dreams of making it big as an actress
apollo grew up as a huge momma’s boy -- i mean, god, he just really loved this mother, y’know? his relationship with his father was much rockier because of his ... lack of being around.
when his grandparents died around the age of eight, that’s when things got...worse. it felt as if camilla’s parents were the only barrier between camilla and cristian’s budding wrath.
it became more apparent that cristian was not meant for the family life, his anger quick and his fists quicker, stinging words and venomous glares. a control freak who couldn’t handle camilla being an independent woman.
this wasn’t apparent to the neighbors, or much of the town in general, because the amorettos were such a prominent family up in their mini-mansion in oak ridge -- it was hard to imagine that their life was anything but exquisite and dreamlike.
this was, of course, up until camilla filed for divorce and a restraining order in the same day, face bruised and nearly unrecognizable. she, obviously, got custody of apollo.
at this point in time, apollo was fourteen and...pretty stoked for them to get away from his father. they holed up in southside and life continued as normal. for the time being. gossip swarmed apollo at school surrounding the circumstance which was annoying, to say the least. it led to him becoming withdrawn from the other students, not getting the whole ... gossip appeal.
in hindsight, they should’ve moved out of west ham. death threats in the form of letters and the eerie feeling of eyes constantly being on them came to a halt on apollo’s graduation day: the day that his father also, coincidentally, murdered his mother.
for making me miss out on years of my son’s life, was cristian’s excuse as he was escorted from the bloody crime scene at their apartment and into the police car.
obviously, cristian was convicted and sentenced to prison. apollo still has dreams about testifying in court against his father.
and then apollo became known not as the son of two celebrities, but the son of a murderer. total bummer !
became even more withdrawn and almost dropped out of college a few good times! the only thing that kept him rooted to west ham was his band.
and now he can’t leave, and he’s surrounded by people who all look at him weird and he feels like they’re all expecting him to be like his father, and he’s not, but god -- when people expect you to be one way, it’s so hard to act otherwise. it’s just not a good time !
pretty much why he went on the service trip tbh ... like, y’know ... if ppl want to believe that he’s just as bad as his dad then damn ! he was gonna wreck sm havoc on the trip, just being an absolute nuisance.
personality !!
his main focuses are computers / video games, drums / his band, and like ... skating ... vaping ... gamer things, y’know.
from a young age he’d always been very fascinated by video games, and being the Rich Boi (tm) that he was, ended up with a whole lot of them to play, on a whole bunch of consoles.
but like ... he’s a PC guy :/ he may have a super rare nintendo 64 console or two but nothing can beat his dual-monitor set up with his hand-build computer !
he also got real into hacking, y’know, just small things like watching security cameras in different cities and occasionally changing his grades b/c like ... who wouldn’t ? also ... cheated in dark souls. fucking loser.
his favorite games to play were always multiplayer games online like WoW and overwatch so !! he’s pretty fucking mad he can’t play them anymore. like. so mad. genuinely furious. he’s been trying to hack his way into like ... wifi or something dumb, ever since they got stranded in new west ham, but he’s had no luck !
he joined a band in high school because he was angsty and young, and like, turned out to be really good on drums ?? they had like ... some real big jimmy eat world / green day / say anything / old school fall out boy vibes. just a whole bunch of ‘fuck the government, fuck the authority, anarchy, rebellion, revolt revolt revolt’ angry rock music that got a buuunch of noise complaints during practice.
his role in the band was essentially the ~nerdy~ one, because he was a gamer, but like he was also Edgy and Angry and wore all black like Constantly (he still does who are we kidding)
probably paints his nails black and has a nose ring b/c gamers can be edgy too !!
huuuuuge junk food junkie. like ... he will consume Everything and Anything unhealthy. has a huge sweet tooth, he can’t remember the last time he’s drank straight up water.
but like ... he’s a loner pretty much. only friends he really bothered keeping were his bandmates and like ! half of them went missing along with the rest of the town so ! he’s feeling a lil’ lost
but not lost enough to do Nothing, y’know ?? coming back to west ham to an empty town awoke his little baby survivalist in him, probably due to a lot of survival games he played online, and he immediately took over his old home in oak ridge ! it was pretty much rotting there with his dad in jail, but not anymore !!
has also probably broken into a few homes already tbh b/c he’s just. ruthless. impulsive. if it feels like the end of the world then he’s yolo’ing, he’s peace-ing out, u cannot stop him.
uuhhh so he’s got this fucking...pomsky, right? her name is tulip. she was camilla’s before she passed away and like, what is apollo gonna do, huh ? put the dog in a shelter ? hell fucking nah. that’s his dog now.
unfortunately tulip isn’t the most .... tough looking dog. apollo set up a bunch of fucking speakers around the property of his dad’s house and plays large barking noises whenever somebody gets too close, just to ward off intruders, but like ... there’s no fucking big dogs man. it’s just apollo and tulip.
this isn’t like a Personality Trait but idk where to put it so ! apollo’s on antidepressants b/c like ... y’know ... the whole dad-murdering-mom thing sort of fucked him up a lot ! they make him feel pretty blah and diminished his sex drive so like ... hook ups aren’t really an option for him atm !
besides that he smokes a lot of weed b/c self medication
he’s ... sort of an asshole. like ... he can be rude and he doesn’t have much of a filter and i don’t know if there’s any softness left to him ! he just really misses his mom and his bandmates and has a lot of wishes involving changing the past and he reacts badly to things because he’s so defensive and on edge constantly.
he misses twitter the most, tho.
no but he’s just like. .. sad gamer boi ... a man and his dog ... who also carries like five knives on him and definitely knows where his dad kept his gun.
like he’s not socially awkward or necessarily Bad with people .. he’s just bad with people :/ doesn’t try hard enough ! is a little too apathetic ! chaotic to true neutral
wanted connections !!
i envision his band to have like ... four or five members including him. two guitar electric guitar, one bass, one drums / keyboard, any of them singing idk that’s not important. and since two of them have Disappeared, i’d like the One (or two) that Remains ! anarchy boys !
generally .. anybody else who is tryn to survive, that maybe he can bond with or completely clash with ??
i’d love enemies, just ppl he Refuses to get along with or they are just on bad terms for whatever reason
people he’s trying to not ! not get along with ! but it just doesn’t work out b/c like ... lbr, apollo’s pretty bad with other people.
just any falling outs.
uuhh ... maybe a few somewhat-friendships ! like... awkward acquaintances
ppl he knew primarily from high school / haven’t spoken to since
maybe one or two ppl who’s soft towards him or he’s soft towards or vice versa b/c like ! i’ll b real .. it’s pretty nice to have !
ex-flings, ex-somethings, ex-gfs, bfs, anything from the past.
hookup gone bad b/c he couldn’t get it up b/c antidepressants be like that (this is based off of a true story can we get a sad yeehaw in here)
gaming pals from before no wifi.
skater buds. vaping buds. b/c i can confirm that apollo owns like three juuls. stoner buds.
someone he’s like ... hesitantly forming an alliance with b/c sometimes it’s easier when you have someone on ur team ! b/c then drama when one of them betrays the other uwu
somebody trying 2 break into his house b/c u Know it’s got some good shit in there but he’s just like ‘alexa play dogs barking audio’ and then ur muse is like ... there’s no fucking dogs
juul pod dealer. that’s all.
i’m down for anything rly !! pleathe hmu !!

Updated! Big List of Spooky Movies and Books!
Get ready for Halloween~
I’m a notorious list-maker; I love collecting stories, and I also love sharing them with people who are either looking for ref or just want to find something interesting. “Spooky” is a pretty broad term, so I listed different categories below that will hopefully make more sense. Some movies/books fit into more than one category, so I picked one and stuck it there. Some stories have a film and book version that are both worth taking a look at, so I put a *by those titles (and they appear in the movie and book list). These range from being for kids to more mature, so if that is a concern for you be sure to check out the rating/content yourself
I’ve updated this since I’ve added a few more titles to my collection, and added more categories (but I think I’ll call this done for now, I can’t update it every couple of months)
I wanted to limit myself, at least a little (otherwise the list would have gon on forever). So each category has at least 3 titles listed, but no more than 7. A few of these are more funny than scary, and some might not really be “spooky” at all, but they still fit the theme. Something to keep in mind, I only listed stories that I own. This is not a complete list or a “best of”. I went with the ones from my personal collection because I know them best and I enjoy them. Hopefully I listed a few that will help somebody with research, or at least entertain them for a bit!
Enjoy~

Clear Sky, 21°C
19 Avenue du Maréchal Koenig, 06270 Villeneuve-Loubet, France
Thursday 27th September 2018
Early rise ish and whilst Rhian was getting ready, I walked Annie into the village and bought the daily baguette from the Boulangerie, which was at the time occupied by a couple of local lads enjoying breakfast Isola is situated in a very deep sided gorge and the sun did not make itself evident until we were due to set off at about 0930. It also became apparent at this time that something was not right with our 12v leisure battery system. I wondered if the split charging system is working properly as 0ur leisure batteries were at their lowest voltage since we set off almost three weeks ago. This despite at least 90 minutes of driving per day plus sunshine bathing our large solar panel for at least eight hours per day. I thought that perhaps a boost from a hook up might be in order so we decided to look for a campsite , firstly for an electric hook up and secondly potentially for a laundry. Once we had dropped down from the mountains to the coast, the change was significant in every respect. The traffic levels increased from usual French levels i.e. Nothing of note , to Severe, i.e normal UK city traffic excluding London . We ended up , by chance, outside a very large Casino (French Supermarket brand) which also boasted a 24/7 automated laundry. The opportunity was too good to miss and after over 1000 miles of driving , our first morning at the Cote d'azure was spent shopping and doing laundry in the car park of a supermarket. Living the dream...... It quickly became apparent that free overnight parking was not going to be easy to come by in this part of the world so we decided that a camp site might be our best option to allow us time to chill and to recharge our batteries ( In the case of the vans leisure batteries , literally so ) A quick visit by Rhian to the Tourist information centre revealed a camp site within spitting distance that might suit us well and so it proved to be. Only 200 metres from our location and a similar distance from the beautiful turquoise waters of the Med was to be our overnighter for the princely sum of 26 euros per night . This will be our first use of a proper campsite (i.e. with full facilities) on this trip. Our lifestyle choice means we have to try to keep costs down as much as possible but sometimes circumstances dictate that we have to bite the bullet and stump up the cash. Initially this was to be for one night only, but once we had set ourselves up on our chosen plot we began to think that perhaps we should stay here for a few nights and use the site as a base from which to explore the Riviera. We had already discovered that driving in this region was not going to be particularly pleasant due to the traffic volume, and that parking charges (if you could find a space for a 6 metre van) were going to be extortionate. Much better to take the train(Dogs are n0t allowed on buses in this region) to visit the resorts. Our thoughts were confirmed after a quick chat with some English neighbours who related some of their experience as veteran motorhome travellers. So the decision was made and I booked us in for a further three nights. After relaxing for an hour or two we decided to take a walk to the sea front to check out the promenade and , Wow , what a promenade. A lovely beach , a harbour full of luxury yachts and some very striking apartments called the Ducal building. When driving into Villeneuve earlier, I had thought these apartments to be a bit of a blot on the landscape but closer inspection revealed them to be quite impressive , with many having open gardens and some ( I later discovered) even having outdoor swimming pools. I wondered how much an apartment in these buildings would cost and how many of them would just be left empty as holiday flats for the wealthy. I earlier mentioned a harbour full of luxury yachts , well in this place as everywhere else , things are relative. I suspect the owners of the yachts in the harbour were very chuffed with themselves for having such fabulous boats moored in such a fabulous location and quite rightly so, but then................. and I had spotted it and recognised it immediately as I looked out to sea , moored quite a way out of the coast of Antibes (7 miles away) was Sailing Yacht A. This being the largest sailing yacht in the world belonging to a Russian Oligarch and costing 360 million pounds( He also owns Motor Yacht A) . It looks futuristic and is painted in a silver colour which looked amazing in the evening light , in fact it looks like something the villain might have in a James Bond film. I tried to photograph it with my phone but check it out on google. Probably made my day seeing this yacht for real even from seven miles away. We continued with our evening stroll and retired back to our van a little tired but very much looking forward to exploring this coast further over the next few days.

Big List: 50 Books for Black History Month
Carter G. Woodson had a great vision and dedicated most of his life trying to realize and share it with others. He believed that celebrating and honoring the achievements of Black Americans and others throughout the diaspora was essential to the success and well-being of our community. Woodson was especially adamant about young people knowing their history. In 1915, he helped create the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History and later founded Negro History Week in February of 1926.
[Woodson] is known as “The Father of Black History” because his untiring work and belief that “those who have no record of what their forebears have accomplished lose the inspiration which comes from the teaching of biography and history” eventually led to the annual observance of Black History Month. Read more about this sometimes underappreciated but extraordinary historian, scholar, and writer in James Haskins’ Carter G. Woodson: The Man Who Put "Black" in American History
Our big list of books for Black History Month includes books that are educational, aspirational, and inspirational to readers of all ages. Happy Reading!

To the north in Scotland William de Huk  was in charge of Thomas Galloway in 1296 and Adam de Huke was a tenant in vill of Moffet in 1376. The name typically means place at the hook of land or bend in a river or hill.
Many localities in England bear the name of the Hook an expression which is doubtlessly topographical although its precise derivation is not known. It is probably allied to the Teutonic hoe, hoh, hoch all meaning a hill or elevated place. The surname was written in the fourteenth century atte Hooke and this by elision sometimes became Tooke. It may be mentioned that Hoke as a personal name occurs in Saxon times.
The history of the Hook family goes back to the ancient Anglo Saxon culture of Britain. It is derived from the family living in Dorset at Hooke a parish in the union of Beaminster in the hundred of Eggerton in Bridport division. Hooke is also a chapelry in the parish of Snaith in the union of Goole lower division of the wapentake of Osgoldcross in the West Ridig of Yorkshire and Hook is a hamlet in the parish and union of Kingston UponThames first division of the hundred of Kingston in Surrey.
The early history of the surname Hook was first found in Devon where one of the first records of the name was found in 1050 to 1071 in a reference of Old English Bynames of Devon. Later in the assize rolls of Lincolnshire the Latin form of the name Hervicus and Richard Hoc were listed in 1218. By 1230 the pipe rolls of Berkshire had listed John Hook as the first listing of the name as it is more commonly spelt today. The Hundredorum Rolls of 1273 included Reginald de le Hoke in Wiltshire, Walter del Hoke in Gloucestershire and Love del Huk in Oxfordshire.
In Somerset Robert de Hok, Richard atte Hoke and Robert atte Houk were all listed there during the first year of the reign of King Edward III.
Later the Yorkshire poll tax rolls of 1379 included Margareta del Hoke a webester, Alexander de Hok and Willelmus de Hok.  Early notables of this surname at this time include Reverend Thomas Huyck  who died in 1575 and was the Chancellor of the Diocese of London, Sir Richard Hook of Scotland and Humphrey Hooke  who lived from 1580 to 1658 and was a member of Parliament for Bristol  from 1640 to 1642 and supported the Royalist cause in the English Civil War.
William Hook  who lived from 1600 to 1677 was a Puritan divine said to have been born of respectable parents in Hampshire in 1600 and perhaps he was one of the Hooks of Bramshott in that county. He became commoner of Trinity College in Oxford in 1618 and graduated in 1620. Robert Hooke who lived from 1635 to 1703 was an English naturalist.
Some of the Hook family moved to Ireland. Emigration to New Zealand followed in the footsteps of the European explorers such as Captain Cook in 1769 to 1770. First came sealers, whalers, missionaries and traders. By 1838 the British New Zealand Company had begun buying land from the Maori tribes and selling it to settlers. After the treaty of Waitangi in 1840 many British families set out on the arduous six month journey from Britain to Aotearoa to start a new life. Early emigration to Australia followed in the First Fleets of convicts, tradespeople and early settlers.
Mr. John Hook an English buther who was convicted in Northumberland for life for stealing was transported aboard the Caledonia on the nineteenth of June in 1822 arriving in Tasmania then named Van Diemen's Land.
Joseph Hook an English convict from Buckinghamshire who was transported aboard the America on April the fourth in 1829 settled in New South Wales.
Stanley Hook arrived in Glenelg Roads aboard the ship Pestonjee Bomanjee in 1838. James Hook arrived in Adelaide aboard the ship Buckinghamshire in 1839 on transportation to Australia. John C. Hook had been aged twenty eight when he arrived in South Australia in 1854 aboard the ship Pestonjee Bomanjee.
English language has lacked a definite system of spelling rules. Consequently Anglo Saxon surnames are characterized by a multitude of spelling variations. Changes in Anglo Saxon names were influenced by the evolution of the English language as it incorporated elements of French and Latin with and other languages.
Although mediaeval scribes and church officials recorded names as they sounded it is common to find one person referred to by several different spellings of a surname for even the most literate people varied the spelling of their own names. Variations of the name Hook include Hook, Hooke, Hoke and others. There exists an armorial history and family crest of the Hook family in a dictionary of patronymic names in the United Kingdom.
