Happy Mother's Day to all mother's out there! And Happy Mother's Day as well to our Hong Haein for being an amazing mother to our much awaited Baek Soobin! For sure had baby 1031 lived, she would also have been an amazing mom to her/him as well! Of course best mom award goes to Jeon Bong Ae, best mother and best mother in law hands down in the show! I was so so glad that Haein got to feel motherly love and affection she didn't get growing up with her MIL. And for all her flaws, mommy Kim Seonhwa was also a good mother in the beginning and later in the end to our Haein. Gosh it's the 2nd week since the finale but I'm still hung up on this show and these characters!😩♥️😵‍💫♥️

STRONGEST DELIVERY MAN // KDRAMA DİZİ YORUMU
UYARI : Yazılar genel olarak spoiler içerebilir. İçermeyedebilir.
İmdb puanı: 7,3 Benim Puanım: 7
Drama: Strongest Deliveryman (literal title)
Hangul: 최강 배달꾼
Director: Jeon Woo-Sung
Writer: Lee Jung-Woo
Date: 2017
Language: Korean
Country: South Korea
Cast: Ko Kyoung-Pyo, Chae Soo-Bin, Kim Sun-Ho, Go Won-Hee
2017 (10th) Korea Drama Awards - October 2, 2017 Best New Actress (Go Won-Hee)
Gang-Soo, Dan-A’nın onayından geçip işe girer.

Behind Your Touch Episode 13: Han Ji Min Suspects Park No Sik as the Serial Killer
Tumblr media
Behind Your Touch is a popular South Korean drama series that airs on JTBC and Netflix. The show stars Han Ji Min, Lee Min Ki, and Suho as the main leads. The story revolves around a veterinarian with psychometric powers, a hot-blooded detective, and a mysterious convenience store worker who get involved in solving crimes in a small town.
Tumblr media
(Photo : JTBC Official Instagram) In the latest episode of Behind Your Touch, Han Ji Min’s character Bong Ye Bun finds a new clue that leads her to suspect Park No Sik’s character Jeon Gwang Sik as the serial killer. She also learns more about Suho’s character Kim Sun Woo and his connection to her grandfather. Here is a recap and review of Behind Your Touch episode 13.
Recap
Tumblr media
(Photo : JTBC Official Instagram) The episode begins with Ye Bun and Jang Yeol visiting the shaman Park Jong Bae, who claims to be innocent of the murders. Ye Bun uses her power to read his memories and confirms that he is telling the truth. She also sees a vision of Sun Woo helping her grandfather to go to Assemblyman Cha’s office. Meanwhile, Sun Woo visits the convenience store owner Ok Hee Mo, who reveals that he knows about his psychic ability. He warns him to be careful of Ye Bun and Jang Yeol, who might be looking for him. Sun Woo denies being involved in any crime and leaves. Ye Bun and Jang Yeol return to the police station and share their findings with Chief Won Jong Muk. They conclude that there is another psychic who is manipulating the evidence and framing the innocent people. They wonder if it could be Sun Woo or someone else. The next day, Ye Bun goes to a house call with Sun Woo as her escort. They have a sweet moment together as they take care of a dog. Sun Woo tells her that he is looking for his mother, who abandoned him when he was young. He also says that he likes her and wants to protect her. At Gwang Sik’s house, Ae Ran tells Ye Bun that Gwang Sik knows about her power and asks her to read her memories. She says that she lost Gwang Sik’s ring and wants to find it. Ye Bun agrees to help her and tries to touch her back, but Gwang Sik stops her abruptly. He acts strangely and tells Ye Bun to leave. Ye Bun feels something is off and begins to suspect Gwang Sik. Ye Bun goes to Jang Yeol and tells him about her doubts about Gwang Sik. She wonders if he has been lying about his power and creating stories to mislead them. They also think that there might not be a third psychic at all. The episode ends with a flashback of Gwang Sik killing Assemblyman Cha with a knife while wearing gloves.
Review
Tumblr media
(Photo : JTBC Official Instagram) Behind Your Touch episode 13 was a thrilling and suspenseful installment that revealed the true identity of the serial killer. The show did a good job of building up the mystery and dropping hints along the way. The viewers were kept guessing until the final twist, which was shocking and unexpected. The episode also developed the romance between Ye Bun and Sun Woo, who shared some cute scenes together. Their chemistry was palpable and their relationship was sweet and sincere. However, their happiness might be short-lived as they face more danger and secrets in the future. The episode also explored the characters of Gwang Sik and Ae Ran, who turned out to be more complex and sinister than they appeared. Their motives and backstory are still unclear, but they seem to have a dark past that involves Sun Woo’s mother. The show has set up an intriguing conflict between them and the main leads. The episode also had some humorous moments, such as Ye Bun revealing her power to the other detectives, Jang Yeol confronting Sun Woo, and Ok Hee Mo teasing Sun Woo about his crush on Ye Bun. The show balanced the comedy and drama well, making it an enjoyable watch. Behind Your Touch episode 13 was an exciting and surprising episode that delivered a major revelation and raised more questions. The show has maintained its quality and interest throughout its run, making it one of the best K-dramas of 2023. What are your thoughts on Behind Your Touch episode 13? kdrama recs (◕‿◕✿)
Descendants of the Sun: This drama is about how the lives of a soldier (Yoo Shijin) and a doctor (Kang Moyeon) got intertwined several times. Even the supporting characters (Seo Daeyoung and Yoon Myeongju) had a fiery chemistry that tops a bunch of other Kdrama couples. Their songs (Gummy - You Are My Everything and Davichi - This Love) also makes the scenes ESPECIALLY cute and I burst from feels.
♡ Encounter: I just finished this one last week and it was craaaazy good omg. Despite the age gap in this drama, I felt that the main couple had one of the best chemistry out of most kdramas I’ve seen. So it’s about a tough and cold CEO (Cha Soohyun) who goes to Cuba for a business trip and meets a free-spirited and fun loving man (Kim Jinhyuk) who is at Cuba for a month long trip he worked really hard for a year at part-time jobs and saved up for. They have a fateful encounter in Cuba, and when they both go back to Korea, Jinhyuk finds out he receives the hotel job he applied for before he went to Cuba, and Soohyun just so happens to be the hotel’s CEO.
♡ IRIS: This drama is definitely one of my favorite dramas of all time. Kim Taehee is my favorite Korean actress of all time, and I loved her with Lee Byunghun. This drama is about a terrorist organization called IRIS, and how the NSS (similar to the CIA but in South Korea) is fighting to take it down. The action scenes are absolutely epic and tragic as well. This is definitely a must watch if you are into action.
♡ City Hunter: Ahh Lee Minho and Park Minyoung are definitely some of my favorite actors/actresses as well and they did an excellent job in this one. This drama is about how a son (Lee Yoonsung) plots revenge for the death of his military father which the government planned in secret. However, struggles arise as he falls in love with a bodyguard (Kim Nana) for people in political power.
It's Okay, That's Love: Gong Hyojin is yet ANOTHER one of my favorites haha. This drama is about a psychiatrist (Ji Haesoo) who struggles with the feeling of love, as she experienced her mother cheating on her father as a young child. She then meets a famous author (Jang Jaeyeol) who struggles with several issues from his past. They learn to overcome their issues together in this bittersweet drama.
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon: This drama is about a girl (Do Bong Soon) who inherits a superpower from her mother that gives her incredible strength. Her dream is to create a video game with herself as the main character. She has been hiding her power for her whole life, for the fear of being exposed, but circumstances caused her to accidentally use her power to fight a gang. A CEO (Ahn Minhyuk) of a game company nearby just so happens to see her strength and he hired her as a bodyguard.
♡ Legend of the Blue Sea: This drama is also one of my favorites of all time, close to IRIS. Jun Jihyun is another one of my favorite actresses, and Lee Minho is my favorite actor. It focuses on the life of a mermaid (Shim Cheong) who has legs when she walks on land, and when she goes back into the ocean, she has a tail. She meets a con artist (Heo Joonjae) while he is on a trip to Europe and begins to fall for him. Little did they know, their lives mirror the previous lives they had from the Joseon era. This drama definitely has the best storytelling/backstory out of all the dramas that I have ever watched.
Personal Taste: A classic! This is about a furniture designer (Park Kae-in) who has a tragic childhood and is very distant from her father. An architect, (Jeon Jinho), tries to befriend Kae-in in order to win a contest. He pretends to be gay in order to be Kae-in’s housemate and things get really intense.
What's Wrong with Secretary Kim: Ahh I love Park Minyoung dramas! This is about a Vice Chairmain of a major company (Lee Young-joon) who had the same secretary for nine years (Kim Miso). When Miso says she wants to quit because she wants to get married and start a family, Young-joon tries to win her heart and marry her instead so she doesn’t have to quit.
♡ Fight for My Way: I loved this one so much, the backstory is one of my favorites. This one is about a former taekwondo player (Ko Dong-man) who quit and now wants to start mixed martial arts. His childhood best friend (Choi Ae-ra) had a dream to become an announcer but now works at the department store front desk instead. They try to support each other in their dreams and fall in love along the way ^-^
♡ = Crème de la crème

Some Jang Hee Bin trivia bullet points
Movies Jang Hee Bin (1961) and Femme Fatale, Jang Hee Bin (1968)
Lee Seo Gu was approached to write the 1961 movie because of the success of his radio drama Jang Hee Bin in the same year.
At 21 years old at the time of filming, Kim Ji Mi is tied with Lee Mi Suk as the youngest actor to portray Jang Hee Bin.
Jang Hee Bin (MBC, 1971)
There was a ‘lead actor famine’ for this drama, and so a 300,000-won prize (worth 5,984,227 won today) was offered at first for the lead role, before a vote was called.
Yun Yeo Jeong was voted to become Jang Hee Bin amidst candidates Yun Jeong Hee and Kim Ji Mi, who previously portrayed Jang Hee Bin in 1961.
Though MBC’s 1971 adaptation was wildly popular, lead actress Yun Yeo Jeong received major backlash for her role. She was even removed from CFs for Yunina Shampoo and Oransshi Soda because ‘her image as Jang Hee Bin was not good for the product’.
While filming the 1971 adaptation, MBC reported many threatening calls to end the network, pressure from the audience to bring Queen Inhyeon back to life, and an incident on set where an actor playing the role of Jang Hee Bin’s court lady was given a bowl of hot water instead of room temperature in an attempt to sabotage filming.
Eventually, the drama was rewritten so that Queen Inhyeon was reinstated sooner than expected.
Actress Kim Min Jeong (Queen Inhyeon) was cast for the role in the 1971 adaptation on a stairwell by writer Lee Seo Gu.
This adaptation is the first to portray a dramatic poison scene, a plot point that would become the climax of many more adaptations to come, with various embellishments.
No known footage of this adaptation remains. MBC only began archiving drama broadcasts from the mid-’70s.
At 154 daily episodes, this remains the longest adaptation of Jang Hee Bin by episode count.
A special was aired on January 31st, 1972 - two days after broadcast had concluded.
Women of Legend: Jang Hee Bin (MBC, 1981)
The first season of Women of Legend (MBC, 1981~1982) was actually going to be another adaption of the Hanjungrok, but the production was scrapped and Jang Hee Bin became the first season instead. Series writer Im Chung would later on write two adaptations of the Hanjungrok (Oh, Heaven! for KBS in 1988, and the King’s Pathway for MBC in 1998).
This adaptation became MBC’s highest rated drama during its broadcast.
The late Kim Mu Saeng played the role of Jo Sa Seok both in this version and Jang Hee Bin (SBS, 1995).
During broadcast, Lee Mi Suk, Lee Hye Suk (Queen Inhyeon) and Lee Miji (Queen Ingyeong) were referred to as the Three Beautiful Musketeers (미녀 삼총사).
Director Yu Gil Chon’s brother Yu In Chon was selected to play the role of Sukjong. Yu In Chon is currently South Korea’s Minister of Culture.
In 1986, Lee Mi Suk admitted that mixed reactions were given to her portrayal. She elaborated that older people hated her character, while younger women related to and empathized with the character.
This adaptation broadcasted on Mondays and Tuesdays at first, but was moved to Wednesdays and Thursdays from Episode 37.
Lee Mi Suk’s portrayal of Jang Hee Bin was popular with men at the time, as the way she acted in front of Sukjong was considered to be cute.
This adaptation and SBS’ 1995 remake are loosely based on the Records of Queen Inhyeon, a compilation of memoirs by Lady Lee, one of Queen Inhyeon’s court ladies.
500 Years of Joseon: Queen Inhyeon (MBC, 1988)
Actor Kim Seok Ok played the role of Queen Inhyeon’s stepmother both in 500 Years of Joseon: Queen Inhyeon (MBC, 1988) and Jang Hee Bin (KBS, 2002)
Kim Myeong Hee played the role of Ok Jeong’s shaman here as well as in KBS’ adaptation, for which she is more famous.
Jeon In Hwa and Lee Deok Hwa took up the roles of Jang Ok Jeong and Jang Hee Jae respectively. They would become brother and sister once more in SBS’ 2001 drama Ladies in the Palace.
Jeon In Hwa’s portrayal of Jang Hee Bin was not initially popular until her reentry into the Palace in Episode 27, as her graceful and elegant aura was seen as too in contrast to the conniving characters of MBC’s previous portrayals.
This adaptation is heavily based on the Joseon Annals, as opposed to the Records of Queen Inhyeon.
The poison scene in this adaptation was famous for Sukjong ordering that one of the doors be used to restrain Ok Jeong as she was fed the poison. This portrayal would be repeated in KBS’ 2002 adaptation.
Jang Hee Bin (SBS, 1995)
SBS’ 1995 adaptation uses the same script as MBC’s 1981 adaptation, written by Im Chung.
Im Chung’s son Im Ho took the role of Sukjong. Im Ho is world famous for his role as Jungjong in Dae Jang Geum (MBC, 2003).
Eom Yu Shin played the role of Prince Sungseon’s wife both in the 1995 and 2002 adaptations of Jang Hee Bin. She also played the role of Jang Hee Bin’s mother in MBC’s 1988 adaptation.
The 1995 adaptation was supposed to be broadcast after SBS’ 1994 drama Auld Lang Syne, but was delayed because of trouble finding a lead actor. Sandglass was broadcasted instead.
Jeong Seon Gyeong was only casted after refusals from Lee Young Ae, Kang Su Yeon and Shin Eun Jeong. Lee Young Ae would soon after become the lead actor of KBS’ West Palace.
This adaptation achieved ratings of up to 43%, but began to suffer during the broadcasts of KBS’ West Palace and Jang Nok Su.
Child actor Lee Jeong Hu played Queen Inhyeon in her first three years after entering the Palace. Kim Won Hee replaced her when Queen Inhyeon turned 18. Lee Jeong Hu died of cancer on December 10, 2016, at the age of 30.
The poison scene in Episode 63 is considered to be the closest in historical dramas to an accurate portrayal of what actually happens when someone drinks Joseon’s government arsenic poison.
The scene is also reputed for Jeong Seon Gyeong’s sudden retaliation in kicking the bowl of poison from a court lady’s hands.
Jang Hee Bin (KBS, 2002)
The lead role was first offered to Lee Young Ae, Song Yun Ah, Kang Su Yeon, Chae Shi Ra and Kim Hyeon Ju before Kim Hye Su took up the role.
Even so, audience reactions were not initially positive to her being chosen, saying that she was too glamorous for the role. Public opinion began to change once Ok Jeong gained the rank of Suk Won in Episode 24.
With 16 previous years of acting experience, Kim Hye Su is the most experienced actor to take the role of Jang Hee Bin.
Kim Hye Su’s casting also broke the tradition of casting young rookies for the role of Jang Hee Bin.
The ratings once dropped to as low as 6%, but its final episode garnered a 31.1% rating.
The show’s original writer Kim Seon Young is not only the first woman to write a televised adaptation of Jang Hee Bin, but also the first woman to write an authentic historical drama (정통사극). The format has been dominated by male writers since its import to Korea in 1981 through KBS’ The Grand Order.
A rivalry was brewing between production manager Kim Sang Hun and Outdoor Filming Director Han Cheol Gyeong, which escalated into an assault incident.
The show’s latter half was written by Kang Tae Wan, rumored to be 1st-generation TV writer Shin Bong Seung under a pseudonym. Shin wrote the 500 Years of Joseon adaptation in 1988.
Kim Eul Dong, portraying Court Lady Kwon (Hee Bin’s court lady) is the mother of Song Il Guk, who portrayed Western Faction activist Kim Chun Taek.
The role of Choi Suk Bin was offered to Kim Gyu Ri, Choi Yu Jeong and Hong Eun Hee before being given to Park Ye Jin from April 9th, 2003. The first three potential candidates happened to be filming for movies when the role was offered.
At 100 hour-long episodes, this remains the longest adaptation by runtime.
Dong Yi (MBC, 2010)
Some of the State Tribunal’s clothes were previously worn in Queen Seondeok (MBC, 2009).
Jang Hee Bin’s character was written much differently than in previous dramas. Her character was meant to be more mature, driven to her decisions out of support for her family and faction. However, while the show itself was successful, Lee So Yeon’s portrayal was often referred to as ‘uninteresting’.
Extra Choi Na Gyeong (not to be confused with flautist Jasmine Choi) gained much popularity after the broadcast of Episode 36 on July 28th, 2010, featuring as a Court Inspector during the Head Inspector's arrest. Referred to as the Tibetan Court Lady (티벳 궁녀) due to her perceived resemblance to the Tibetan fox, she would later on feature in a daily drama and a sitcom. Choi Na Gyeong also became the model for a character in mobile game Master Asia, and is an avid arcade game player herself. Her cameo in Dong Yi can be seen below.
Tumblr media
Because of how differently Jang Hee Bin was written in comparison to previous adaptations, this adaptation is the first since 1968 to portray Jang Hee Bin as willingly drinking the poison that would lead to her death.
Jang Ok Jeong, Living in Love (SBS, 2013)
Despite Jang Ok Jeong’s portrayal in the drama as a fashion designer, viewers were displeased at the use of high heels and fashion mannequins, both anachronic to Joseon.
At 33 years old at the time of broadcast, Kim Tae Hee is the oldest actor to play the role of Jang Hee Bin.
The show is unfortunately considered a failure for SBS, with an average rating of only 11.3%. This puts the show behind its contemporaries Queen of Office (KBS, 13.2%) and Gu Family Book (MBC, 18.7%).
At 24 episodes, this is the shortest adaptation of Jang Hee Bin.
A historical accuracy dispute arose over the portrayal of Queen Inhyeon’s father Min Yu Jung. This led to the show being derided as a ‘fantasy drama’ by political drama fans.

time to let go 05 / jeon jungkook
Tumblr media
summary: y/n and jungkook have been friends for a long time but their friendship has had a lot of bumps along the way. when y/n sees that jungkook has been acting really weirdly towards her, she tries to forget about him and move on. but jungkook being the person he is, she finds it hard to do so.
warnings: harassment
01 | 02 |  03 |  04 | 06 | 07 | 08
chung ae was probably calling you didn’t reply right away and you were gone for quite awhile.
jungkook’s eyes moved with your phone and even when you got it in your hands he couldn’t stop staring. it was like he wanted to take that phone and throw it somewhere. it was so weird seeing him like this and he was acting like this right in front of his girlfriend.
‘‘jungkook! I was only trying to protect you from her!’‘ she yelled in his face
''protect me?'' jungkook asked in a serious tone and that's when he finally took his eyes off of your phone
as his girlfriend was saying something you decided to answer chung ae. you answered and as soon as you said 'hey' to him, jungkook's eyes fell on top of yours again. you could notice him staring into you, deeply as he tried to look like he is listening to his girlfriend‘s voice. but in reality he wanted to know what is that guy saying to you over the phone or at least it looked like it.
''hey, is everything okay?'' chung ae concerningly says on the other side of the phone
''yes, I'm sorry for not answering and the answer is yes.'' you quickly say and you could've sworn you saw jungkook‘s body tense up a bit
‘’I‘m happy to hear that, are you free tonight?‘‘
'’yes.‘‘
you ended your conversation after saying goodbye to him. jungkook however didn't left and he still just stood there. his girlfriend finally stopped talking about whatever she was saying and her annoying voice came to an end. afterwards it just got awkward, you were all quiet and no one said a thing. thankfully your friend broke the ice.
'’um...y/n we have to go.‘‘ she quietly says as she stood up and took her things. you turned around and thanked her with your eyes, before you followed her right behind. you didn't say a word and you just left. the situation was so weird and uncomfortable that all you wanted to do was disappear and act like nothing happened. you didn't know what happened afterwards to them as you and bong cha were already entering the mall.
‘’thanks for saving me, I have no idea what just happened.‘‘ you thank her while looking through some clothes
‘’no problem and same. she must've felt jealous but why did he act so bizarre towards you, I've never seen him like that.‘‘
that sentence was stuck in your head for the rest of the day. jungkook was never defensive towards you and he rarely stood up for you if something had happened. but this was his girlfriend he should've helped her and back her up but he chose to save you and give you back your phone. also the look he gave you when he saw you that chung ae was calling you was the weirdest thing of them all. does he know him or is there another reason behind all of this?
you didn't have the time to think about him again but even though that you are cutting him off he just shows up suddenly. he messes up everything and no matter how hard you try to go away, he‘s always there right behind you like a shadow and you can‘t shake him off.
you got ready for your date with chung ae and right as it hit 8 pm you heard a car outside your apartment. you rushed to the window to see the familiar black car parked and chung ae stepping out of it. quickly you run downstairs as you didn't wanna make him wait a second longer.
‘’hey‘‘ he greets you, his arms go wide as he captures you in his hug
‘’oh, hey.‘‘ you greet back
on your way to your date you were expecting him to take you to a diner or to a more quieter place but you noticed that he kept driving more and more towards the city. you kept seeing more and more lights and soon there was a variety of different night clubs, all packed tight beside each other. a bunch of people were outside, getting ready to get in into one of the clubs as the rest were chilling outside and catching some fresh air.
‘’where are we going?‘‘ you ask as you kinda felt unprepared if he was going to take you into one of these clubs. you were dressed elegant, a long dress that complemented your body but when you looked through your window you noticed most girls wearing short skirts or tight dresses.
‘’it‘s a surprise, trust me.‘‘ he winks at you and for some reason you just felt uneasy about the situation
finally you two arrived and he parked his car, close to one of those clubs. you two then started walking and sure enough he stopped in front of one of the clubs. outside there was a bunch of people that were already wasted or smoking consistently. as soon as you got there you received a bunch of looks, due to your elegant dress. but chung ae never really told you where your date is going to be this time.
‘’and here we are.‘‘ he proudly says and glances up as the clubs name strongly shined upon you
‘’a c-club?‘‘ you ask and he doesn't say a word but grabs your hand and starts pulling you in
the feeling of uneasiness became stronger as soon as you set your foot in this club. it was filled with a large amount of people and they were also all drunk. some you could've sworn were in a trans and maybe they were on something. instantly you got chills down your body, you weren't ready for this.
it was weird, you heard great things about chung ae from your friend and yes he did act nicely on the first date but now all of it seemed so sketchy. he kept dragging you through many sweaty bodies until you two came to the bar.
‘’what do you want?‘‘ he screams as the music was so loud
‘’water.‘‘ you quickly reply and he gives you a weird look
‘’yeah right...hey, two beers please.‘‘ he tells the bartender and you look back at him, ready to say something but in that moment the bartender comes back with two beers
chung ae pays and grabs you by your hand and starts taking you somewhere else. you come to a small couch next to a even smaller table. you sit beside him and put your beer down because one thing he doesn't know about you is how much you actually hate the smell and taste of the beer.
the club was full to the fullest. the music was too loud and although you sometimes would go to things like this, this time it felt different. you were out of place and the atmosphere in here was frightening. you were feeling extremely ghastly, due to everything that was happening.
suddenly chung ae grabs his phone and types out a quick text. before you knew it a bunch of his friends were sitting beside the two of you. you were feeling extremely ghastly, due to everything that was happening.
‘‘I’m not feeling good, I think I’m going to go out.’‘ you yell to him
but he doesn't say word to you but instead he takes a sip of his beer. he then puts it down next to yours and wraps his arm around your waist, he starts pulling you in closer but you back away.
‘’what‘s wrong?‘‘ he cluelessly asks but he knew exactly what he was doing
‘’take your hand off me!‘‘ you shout and try to rip his hand away from your body but of course he was stronger
‘’chill y/n, I‘m not doing anything.‘‘ he calmly replies as you still try to push him off
‘’stop it!‘‘ you screamed louder then before and his friends that were already looking at you, didn’t say a single word
‘’stop making a scene.‘‘ he says
finally you managed to push him off and you start running past everyone to find the exit door. you weren't sure if chung ae was following you as you didn't want to stop and look back. you kept running, pushing people past and some where screaming at you but you didn't care. all you wanted to do was run away as fast as possible but your dress was preventing you to run any faster.
somehow you managed to get out of the club  and you were holding onto your dress with one hand, to make sure you wouldn't stumble and fall. the other hand was clutching onto your phone and you quickly try to unlock it when suddenly the battery runs low. you were out of battery in the middle of no where. you knew you were in a city but you were never in this part of it. you were out of ideas what to do and chung ae was still in that club probably looking for you. you were too scared to find a taxi on your own and a bus station was way too far away from the clubs.
every so often you kept glancing back to the club, to make sure he wasn’t looking for you. you had no idea, what happened to him and why he changed so quickly and became so intimidating. even his friends didn’t say a single word, when they saw you trying to get away from his grip.
struggling to find an idea you suddenly remembered something...
something that you would never thought you‘d do but you had no other option.
you went up to a girl and asked her if she can lend you her phone so that you can make a call. she gave it to you without any problems and you dialled a phone number, the only phone number you remember still till this day.
jungkook‘s phone number.
the reason why you remember his number off of your head is because, when he first gave it to you, you had a huge crush on him. you could say you were in love with him but not in a way where you could say ‘i love you‘ to him. it‘s hard to explain but at that time you always wanted to be beside him and when he gave you his number for the first time, you immediately memorised it and ever since then those numbers have been stuck in your head.
you were unsure if it’s the right thing to do after all you have told yourself you would do and wouldn’t. but this was an emergency and if he doesn’t answer then you’ll have to find a different solution.
you press call and started waiting...
after a few beeps, you hear the familiar voice on the other side of the line. his voice was raspy like you just woke him up from him slumber.
‘‘yes?’‘
‘‘j-jungkook...it’s me y/n.’‘ your voice was shaking, you were trembling with fear and you were scared what he might say to you. it was a weird feeling but no matter how much you ‘hated’ him, you were scared if he might just hung up
‘‘y/n?’‘ his voice suddenly becomes much more clearer
‘‘jungkook…I don’t h-have much time this isn’t my phone but p-please I’m begging you…p-pick me up, this chung ae guy he’s weird and…gosh I’m sorry-...’’ your voice was filled with tears and you found it hard to speak
‘‘chung-...wait, where are you?’‘
‘‘I don’t know some clubs...’‘ you sniffle and looke around the place
‘‘do you see names?’‘ you quickly turn around and read a few names off of the banners
‘‘stay there. y/n don’t move.’‘ before you knew it he hangs up and all you could hear was the beeping in the background
you hand the phone back to the girl and thank her. you move away from the club and try to find a spot, where jungkook will see you but at the same time where you’ll be hidden if chung ae decides to come outside.
you couldn’t believe what was happening, jungkook was coming to save you. you never thought you’d be ever saying those words in your mind but all of it was happening. also this was your first time hearing him being concerned about you. you knew that things were about to get even more twisted but on the other hand you were happy that jungkook answered this phone call.
the night quickly turned cold and the dress you had on was helping you but it was sleeveless, so you felt quite chilly. but you had to keep it together, if you go back to the club you might run into chung ae. jungkook will be here any minute and you could feel that.
‘‘y/n!’‘ suddenly you hear your name being called out from two directions
you turn right and see chung ae, standing there and you could tell he was pretty drunk. but when you turned left you saw jungkook. his car was parked on the road, right beside him. he was wearing a huge white shirt, with short pants - he was in his pj’s. when you looked directly into his eyes, you could tell he saw chung ae behind you.
that set off an alarm in your head and you started bolting towards jungkook. he was so close to you but your feet felt like they were ten steps behind the rest of your body. again you didn’t want to turn around, fearing of seeing chung ae right behind you.
you noticed jungkook took a few fast steps towards you and when you were finally close to him, you ran to his embrace. his strong arms wrapped around your body and held you tight to his. the tears were now falling onto your face and it felt like they were pouring down on you. you were still shaking, shaking in his hug. but slowly you felt more and more safe.
‘‘stay away from her!’‘ jungkook screams to chung ae and you hear him stop in his tracks
‘‘ohh, jeon jungkook long time no see.’‘ chung ae says back, smirking
‘‘if you come closer, I swear I’ll kill you!’‘ jungkook screams back but chung ae only smiles and leaves, going back to the club
you didn’t have the time to think about how they know each other, chung ae’s presence scared you, even if he wasn’t near you and went back to the club. you felt save in jungkook’s arms and that’s all that matter to you now.
‘‘you okay? huh?’‘ jungkook takes his arms off of you and puts his hands on your cheeks, wiping the tears with his thumbs
‘‘y-yeah...’‘ you whimper back but jungkook still kept his hands on your face, checking to see if he really didn’t hurt you
but then you stared into his eyes and noticed tears pricking at the corners.
you realized jungkook was...
crying

Article on Lawless Lawyer’s character map translated:

Character Relationship Map for “Lawless Lawyer” unveiled: Mubeop Law Firm VS Bloodthirsty Evils
“Lawless Lawyer” continues to stoke viewers’ curiosity with a map of the characters’ relationships and conflicts.
Slated to premiere on May 12, as the follow-up to “Live,” tvN’s upcoming weekend drama “Lawless Lawyer” draws viewers’ attention by unveiling its character relationship map on April 30 (Monday). It offers a simple, concise overview of the tension and conflict between the ‘Mubeop Law Firm’ people and the ‘Bloodthirsty Evil People,’ keeping viewers interested and curious.
Legal/action drama “Lawless Lawyer” tells the story of a lawless lawyer who initially uses his fists but evolves into a true lawyer who even risks his life to fight the abuse of power. It marks the first-time collaboration between bankable director Kim Jin-min and writer Yoon Hyun-ho, who penned movies that altogether sold 20 million tickets, joined by the cast of Lee Joon-gi, Seo Yea-ji, Lee Hye-young, and Choi Min-soo.
What stands out the most in the ‘Lawless Lawyer’ character map is certainly the central conflict among the four characters, Bong Sang-pil (Lee Joon-gi), Ha Jae-yi (Seo Yea-ji), Cha Moon-sook (Lee Hye-young), and Ahn Oh-joo (Choi Min-soo). With their presence alone, the foursome grabs viewers’ attention. Described as ‘Partnership’ and ‘Romance,’ Bong Sang-pil and Ha Jae-yi’s relationship captures our attention, while the ‘Opposing’ relationship between Cha Moon-sook and Ahn Oh-joo also makes viewers wonder how these dramatic relationships will unfold.
The map also implies that Bong Sang-pil’s turn into a ‘lawless lawyer’ has been heavily influenced by the fate of Choi Jin-ae (Shin Eun-jung), Bong Sang-pil’s mother and former human rights lawyer, and Choi Dae-woong (Ahn Nae-sang), Bong Sang-pil’s uncle and boss of the Daewoong gang. It also makes us wonder what causes Bong Sang-pil and Ha Jae-yi to form a partnership, and the real reason for their decision to stand on the side of justice and fight absolute power in Giseong.
Other characters essential to the story of “Lawless Lawyer” are the top 0.1% of Giseong City, namely, the inner circle of Cha Moon-sook, Ahn Oh-joo, Koh In-doo (Jeon Jin-gi) and Nam Soon-ja (Yeom Hye-ran). In ‘Evil City’ Giseong, these judges, prosecutors, press, and politicians make up a web of connections and intend to seize control of the city and rule the world as they please.
Among the ‘Evil People,’ Cha Moon-sook stands at the top of the hierarchy with absolute power, and there exists the ‘Hostile’ relationship between Ahn Oh-joo and Nam Soon-ja, who seem to represent Cha Moon-sook’s right-hand man and secretary, respectively. The drama will chart the conflict between these evil characters, as they do all kinds of evil deeds and carry out evil schemes in order to gain Cha Moon-sook’s favor while serving their own interests.
Playing Cha Moon-sook, who holds absolute authority in Giseong and conceals greed behind her saintly mask, and Ahn Oh-joo, who’s only driven by money and success, respectively, Lee Hye-young and Choi Min-soo are expected to create unprecedented villains in the history of Korean drama.
This sharply-divided opposition between the ‘Mubeop Law Firm’ people and the ‘Bloodthirsty Evils’ stokes our curiosity about the enthralling story that will unfold throughout the drama “Lawless Lawyer.”
tvN’s new Sat-Sun drama “Lawless Lawyer” is the first-time collaboration between director Kim Jin-min who demonstrated his directing finesse in “Time between Dog and Wolf,” “Pride and Prejudice,” and “Marriage Contract,” and writer Yoon Hyun-ho, who wrote movies “The Attorney” and “Confidential Assignment” as well as drama “Remember – The War of Son.” It premieres on May 12, Saturday, at 9 p.m. as the follow-up to currently airing “Live.”

Best Korean Horror Movies
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
If you keep your spooky season watches within the bounds of America and the U.K., then you’re missing out. Some of the scariest horror films are international. Korean pop culture has been in the news lately for the success of social horror Squid Game, but the country’s cinema has been effectively creeping us out for decades. From the monster madness of Bong Joon-ho’s The Host to the unforgettably horrific ending of Park Chan-wook’s Oldboy, here are some of the Korean horror movies you should check out this Halloween season.
The Housemaid (1960)
Considered one of the best Korean films of all time, it’s difficult to overstate the influence The Housemaid has had on generations of Korean and international filmmakers—this includes Bong Joon-ho, whose Oscar-winning Parasite was inspired by this iconic 1960s black-and-white domestic melodrama.
The Housemaid tells the story of Kim Dong-sik (Kim Jin-kyu), a piano teacher who gives lessons to young women working at a local factory. When Kim’s family decides to hire one of those women to help with the housework while Mrs. Kim (Ju Jeung-ryu), who also works, is pregnant, a housemaid (Ko Seon-ae) enters the home, setting them all on a claustrophobic path to destruction. The melodrama is horrifying and riveting, giving contemporary viewers some insight into filmmaker’s Kim Ki-young’s perspective on post-war Korea, including the dangers of urban class ascendancy and sexually promiscuous women. Come for the rat poison, stay for the unexpected fourth wall break that brings the film to a close. – KB
Whispering Corridors (1998)
Whispering Corridors, which came out in the cinematic era following the end of Korea’s military dictatorship in 1987, is one of those movies that is so much better than it probably needed to be. One of the pioneers of the K-horror genre, this ghost-horror story utilizes some clever, genre-influencing editing and its criticism of the Korean education system to stretch its $600,000 budget so very far. Set at an all-girls school beset by a series of mysterious deaths, the central mystery is not a particularly surprising one, but that doesn’t really matter, as the story grounds itself in the exploration of grief and pain that comes from real-world bullying and abuse. Whispering Horrors would go on to launch an entire franchise, including 2021’s The Humming, which means if you like this one, there are more Ghost School stories for you to enjoy. – KB
Oldboy (2003)
Sometimes it’s tough to know where to hit Park Chan-wook’s Oldboy when you’re throwing genre darts at it, as so much of the film plays as a neo-noir action thriller. But for audiences who have already witnessed its “memorable” ending (replace “memorable” with the word “eurghhhh” as needed) a horror stamp seems pretty damn fitting. In that way, it follows in the footsteps of Takashi Miike’s deceptive 1999 flick Audition.
The movie follows Oh Dae-su, who has been imprisoned in a cell that looks a lot like your standard hotel room for well over a decade without knowing who the fuck put him there or why. Eventually tasting freedom, Dae-su still finds himself trapped in a web of ultraviolence and intrigue that is gently offset by his burgeoning romance with a pretty sushi chef called Mi-do.
The horror genre is often overflowing with trashy, forgettable movies (there’s nothing wrong with that, we love trashy, forgettable horror movies) but there’s a reason 2004 Cannes Film Festival Jury President Quentin Tarantino fell over himself to heap praise on Oldboy when it won the Grand Prix that year: you will never, ever forget it. – KH
A Tale of Two Sisters (2003)
Loosely based on the popular Korean fairy tale “Janghwa Hongryeon jeon”, A Tale of Two Sisters is a psychological horror movie with more twists and turns than your average genre entry, as a young girl recently released from a mental institution returns home with her sister only to be drawn into a series of deeply disturbing events that culminate in bloodshed when a barrage of shocking family secrets from the past are uncovered.
The film has been one of many stand-out offerings from South Korean director and screenwriter Kim Jee-woon, who would later bring us A Bittersweet Life, The Good, The Bad, The Weird, and I Saw the Devil. It would go on to be remade for western audiences by Dreamworks, manifesting as a hugely inferior horror flick called The Uninvited in 2009. Throw the original on when you’re at home alone in the dark – it’s fair to say you’ll never forget the experience or casually look under a kitchen sink with zero trepidation ever again. – KH
The Host (2006)
Back in 2006, The Host unexpectedly smashed its way onto countless Best Of Year lists, marking the next phase of Bong Joon-ho’s rise to world domination after his 2003 crime thriller Memories of Murder had already achieved cult status outside of South Korea. He would later famously acquire a Best Picture Oscar for his 2019 masterpiece, Parasite.
In The Host, an American military pathologist orders his Korean assistant to dump chemicals into the Han River, setting in motion a chain of events that eventually lead to a mutated fish monster emerging from the water and snacking on the locals. When the ravenous creature abducts his daughter, vendor Park Gang-du (Song Kang-ho) and his family decide to get her back and stop the monster’s reign of terror.
The Host is a fascinating, tonally wild movie that usurps genre expectations until its last moments. You’ll be left with a sinking feeling that some monsters may never be caught. – KH
Thirst (2009)
Park Chan-wook’s take on the vampire genre is a loose adaptation of Zola’s Thérèse Raquin which also has quite a bit in common with the recent Netflix series Midnight Mass – how’s that for ‘elevated horror’? Director Park regular Song Kang-ho plays priest Sang-hyun who after volunteering for a vaccination trial is killed and then revived with vampire blood.
Suddenly finding himself lusting for human blood and aslo sex, he begins an affair with the wife of a childhood friend which quickly turns dangerous for them both. Thirst is a sumptuous, sexy, romantic epic, peppered with director Park’s dark sense of humour. It’s gorgeous and gory and more than a little tragic –  a must watch for vampire fans. – RF
The Wailing (2016)
The Wailing is an odd movie. At 156 minutes it’s loooong for a horror movie, but rightly so. After all what begins as a cop thriller soon turns into a ghost story and a zombie movie with demonic possessions and small town paranoia, creepy kids, murderous family members, paranoia, superstition, shamanism… all sorts. Though there is a lot going on in The Wailing it is surprisingly tonally consistent and genuinely unsettling, keeping you on your toes right up to the devastating final moments.
The film sees the arrival of a Japanese stranger into a small South Korean village. Not long after his arrival villagers start showing symptoms of a strange infection which eventually compels them to kill their families. Cops investigating one such set of murders meet a strange woman who says the stranger is responsible for the outbreak. When one of the cops finds an artefact belonging to his daughter at the stranger’s house he must solve the mystery before his daughter becomes the next victim. Strange, unnerving and leading you down a rabbit hole this is unique horror which fully deserves the acclaim it gained at release. – RF
Train to Busan (2016)
One of the better known Korean horror flicks, zombie drama Train to Busan made international waves when it premiered in 2016, and for good reason. The action horror was the most exciting and emotionally engaging the zombie drama had been in a long time—World War Z wishes it could be this movie.
Train to Busan follows fund manager and dead beat dad Seo Seok-woo (Squid Game‘s Gong Yoo!) as he and his daughter try to escape the zombie apocalypse on a high-speed bullet train bound for Busan. The city, the second-largest in Korea, has cultural significance, as it was one of only two cities (along with Daegu) not captured by the North Korean army within the first three months of the Korean war. Because of this, refugees fled to the city, which also served as a temporary capital of the Republic of Korea.
Train to Busan would spur a not-as-good standalone sequel, Peninsula; fans of the original film have Hellbound, a supernatural horror series from Train to Busan writer-director Yeon Sang-ho, out on Netflix in November. – KB
The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil (2019)
An excellent choice for those of you who like your gory movies wayyyy more action-packed, Lee Won-tae’s The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil has the skills (and thrills) to pay the bills.
The critically acclaimed film tells the story of three men whose lives are set on a collision course after two of them become obsessed with eliminating the third – a twisted serial killer already responsible for a handful of local slayings. Gangster Jang Dong-soo (Eternals star Ma Dong-seok) has already had a brutal run-in with the killer that has been dismissed as a rival gang attack, but he’s quickly convinced by rookie cop Jung Tae-suk (Kim Mu-yeol) that he’s just the latest in a long line of intended victims.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
The duo agree to team up and combine their efforts to hunt down the murderer, but it’s a partnership that keeps violently disintegrating because they’re both so determined to stick to their own plans of attack: the gangster wants to destroy the killer with his bare hands, while the cop just wants to lock him up and get a promotion.  The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat as allegiances sway, but if there’s one thing you’ll be all-in on, it’s that the vicious Devil of the piece must be stopped one way or another. – KH
