Welcome to Monarch, new operative! Before you begin, let’s take a debrief of the secret history that you never knew...
Tumblr media
1915, SPLITTING THE ATOM: Albert Einstein’s relativity theory ultimately leads to the creation of the atomic bomb, thus a new dawn of The Atomic Age has begun. This act of human evolution sparks the beginning of a new Age of Monsters.
Tumblr media
1943, THE U.S.S. LAWTON INCIDENT: The USS Lawton was attacked by an unidentified superspecies, William “Bill” Randa was the only survivor to tell the tale. Haunted by the memory of that day, Randa has since set out to become one of Monarch's foremost operatives, searching for the truth behind these ancient creatures that exists beneath the surface of our world.
Tumblr media
1945, THE AWAKENING: The bombing of Hiroshima awakens the ancient superspecies Godzilla beneath the Earth, along with another ancient creature Shinomura.
Tumblr media
1946, MONARCH FOUNDED: In the aftermath and cover-up of the U.S.S. Lawton incident, President Harry Truman unofficially establishes "Monarch Unit", a small, off-book research team established to engage in the systematic study of "Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms". Privately, many of Truman's allies questioned the validity of the group's theories and work to keep their existence a secret.
Tumblr media
1946-1954, GOJIRA: A series of multiple sightings have occurred across the Pacific Ocean. Godzilla’s existence was not yet proven until 1954, however his legend was quickly spread all across the Pacific.
Tumblr media
1952, THE GREAT SMOG OF LONDON: Baffling meteorologists and defying atmospheric physicists, this unexplained phenomenon saw London’s streets overwhelmed by huge clouds of air-polluting smoke. Monarch theorizes that the beating wings of a giant creature could have created an anticyclone that unleashed airborne pollutants across the city.
Tumblr media
1954, OPERATION - CASTLE BRAVO: Shortly after Godzilla’s discovery, the U.S. military took action and attempted to terminate the monster. The event was later covered up as a "nuclear testing".
It is unknown at this time if Godzilla had been eliminated or is still alive.
Tumblr media
1959, SIBERIAN MYSTERY: At the height of the Cold War, aerial photography taken from a Russian spy plane reveals a huge containment facility established around an icecap in Siberia. The Monarch emblem can be emblazoned across the canopy of the structure.
Tumblr media
1973, MISSION - SKULL: Monarch surreptitiously partners with LandSat and the 1st aviation brigade, 3rd assault helicopter company, Sky Devils, to mount an expedition to the mythical "Skull Island" in an uncharted corner of the Pacific. Encountering the god-like superspecies known as Kong, they soon discover that mankind does not belong here.
Tumblr media
1991, ISLA DE MARA: A covert Monarch team establishes a quarantine zone around the island's dormant volcano, under the guise of 'environmental research'. Over the coming years what began as a small scientific outpost will expand to become a full containment facility around the mouth of the volcano.
Tumblr media
1995, RETURN TO SKULL ISLAND: Monarch security officer Aaron Brooks defies his father Houston Brooks and leads an off-the-books expedition to Skull Island to determine what has become of Kong since the 1973 expedition, but also for assurance that Kong is on their side. It is also discovered that Kong has grown larger in size since the last expedition.
Tumblr media
1999, JANJIRA MELTDOWN: Following an explosive disaster at the Janjira nuclear power-plant, Monarch established a quarantine zone outside of Tokyo. Former nuclear physicist Joseph Brody discovers that the Janjira Q-Zone is in reality a containment facility established around a dormant M.U.T.O.
Tumblr media
2005, A MYSTERIOUS MERCENARY: Former British Army Colonel and MI-6 agent Jonah Alan is locked up in Pakistani prison after an encounter with Monarch agents. Alan and his band of mercenary accomplices were caught trying to breach the walls of a subterranean M.U.T.O. dig-site.
Tumblr media
2009, TEMPLE OF THE MOTH: Mythographic studies of Chinese temples leads Monarch to the high-altitude jungles of the Yunnan Province. Dr. Emma Russell and her team discovered a temple housing a giant cocoon with a "quickening heartbeat."
Tumblr media
2012, MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE: Days before retirement, Monarch veteran Houston Brooks receives an encrypted recorder bearing a message from his son. His unauthorized mission to Skull Island has resulted in the death of the whole crew (except himself) and revealed dramatic new information about Kong's origins, his role on the island and how Skull Island had evolved since his father's "visit".
Tumblr media
2014, THE BATTLE OF SAN FRANCISCO: The existence of superspecies is revealed to the world as Godzilla clashes with two M.U.T.O.s in the center of San Francisco. Unleashing devastation upon the urban center, the world watches as Godzilla defends our world and restores balance to the natural order. The time has come for Monarch to step out of the shadows.
Tumblr media
2016, MONSTER ZERO: An extraordinary superspecies is discovered beneath the Antarctic ice. Monarch, led by Vivienne Graham, built a containment and research facility in Antarctica around the dormant creature. Her classified field notes contain a mysterious footnote: "The Devil has three heads."

Podcast Review Welcome to Night Vale By Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor
Expand to read the Review
Let me get this straight: I do not remember how I got here. About two years ago, I started listening to this podcast, and I haven’t stopped since.
Welcome to Night Vale is a beautiful and creative fiction podcast in the style of a local radio show, where the host, Cecil Palmer (voiced by Cecil Baldwin) informs his little town, Night Vale, about local news, events, announcements, and catastrophes. Sometimes, he also has guests in his show, like the faceless old woman who secretly lives in your home (voiced by Mara Wilson), or another, very happy, very smiling radio host named Kevin (voiced by Kevin R. Free), or Carlos, the beautiful scientist who is new in town (voiced by Dylan Marron). Since 2012, the bimonthly podcast tells the story of this small desert town, where the sun is hot, the moon is beautiful, and every conspiracy theory is true.
That’s right, over the course of the episodes you will have to become accustomed to forbidden Dog Parks, angels fighting for official acceptance, literal five-headed dragons running for mayor and multiverses.
If you do not mind the weird, and the extraordinary, and a good amount of humor, this is the show for you. I love the way they portray this little town, with all the different citizens, and the acceptance they have for everyone. You are a smooth, hand-sized rock? Cool. You are a shapeshifter, stuck in the shape of a waterfall? Awesome. The narrator Cecil sometimes moves very, very far away from being an informative or objective journalist, and rather talks about his ideas of everything that happens as well as his personal life, but that is what makes the show so interesting.
Of course, if you’re not the one for podcasts, you can also buy the scripts for the first four seasons as books, but I personally would not want to miss out on Cecil Baldwins calm voice, that is clear enough so that even non-native speakers have no problem understanding what he’s saying - the vocabulary is advanced, though.
For me, this podcast absolutely deserves 6 points. It might not be the humor of everyone, but just because of the creative way they tell the story it is worth to listen to - come on, it’s free! You can find it everywhere you listen to podcasts, it is one of the most famous ones, after all. If you need a free podcast app, I absolutely recommend Castbox.
So, go on now and listen to it!

Extremists Find a Financial Lifeline on Twitch Terpsichore Maras-Lindeman, a podcaster who fought to overturn the 2020 presidential election, recently railed against mask mandates to her 4,000 fans in a live broadcast and encouraged them to enter stores maskless. On another day, she grew emotional while thanking them for sending her $84,000. Millie Weaver, a former correspondent for the conspiracy theory website Infowars, speculated on her channel that coronavirus vaccines could be used to surveil people. Later, she plugged her merchandise store, where she sells $30 “Drain the Swamp” T-shirts and hats promoting conspiracies. And a podcaster who goes by Zak Paine or Redpill78, who pushes the baseless QAnon conspiracy theory, urged his viewers to donate to the congressional campaign of an Ohio man who has said he attended the “Stop the Steal” rally in Washington on Jan. 6. All three spread their messages on Twitch, a livestreaming video site owned by Amazon that has become a new mainstream base of operations for many far-right influencers. Streamers like them turned to the site after Facebook, YouTube and other social media platforms clamped down on misinformation and hate speech ahead of the 2020 election. Twitch comes with a bonus: The service makes it easy for streamers to make money, providing a financial lifeline just as their access to the largest online platforms has narrowed. The site is one of the avenues, along with apps like Google Podcasts, where far-right influencers have scattered as their options for spreading falsehoods have dwindled. Twitch became a multibillion-dollar business thanks to video gamers broadcasting their play of games like Fortnite and Call of Duty. Fans, many of whom are young men, pay the gamers by subscribing to their channels or donating money. Streamers earn even more by sending their fans to outside sites to either buy merchandise or donate money. Now Twitch has also become a place where right-wing personalities spread election and vaccine conspiracy theories, often without playing any video games. It is part of a shift at the platform, where streamers have branched out from games into fitness, cooking, fishing and other lifestyle topics in recent years. But unlike fringe livestreaming sites like Dlive and Trovo, which have also offered far-right personalities moneymaking opportunities, Twitch attracts far larger audiences. On average, 30 million people visit the site each day, the platform said. Twitch “monetizes the propaganda, which is unique,” said Megan Squire, a computer science professor at Elon University who tracks extremists online. She said it was as though listeners of the conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, who died in February, were donating in real time and chipping in greater sums whenever Mr. Limbaugh shared more controversial ideas. “You can turn the dial up and down and turn the flow of money up and down by saying certain things on your stream,” Ms. Squire said. At least 20 channels associated with far-right movements have started broadcasting on Twitch since the fall, according to data compiled by Genevieve Oh, a livestreaming analyst. Some are associated with QAnon, the false theory that former President Donald J. Trump is fighting a cabal of Democratic pedophiles. The channels range from intermittent broadcasters with several hundred views to ones that go live nearly every day and attract thousands of viewers. In a statement, Sara Clemens, Twitch’s chief operating officer, said QAnon users were only a “small handful” of the seven million people who streamed on the site each month. “We will take action against users that violate our community policies against harmful content that encourages or incites self-destructive behavior, harassment, or attempts or threatens to physically harm others, including through misinformation,” she said. Twitch viewers support streamers through monthly subscriptions of $5, $10 or $25 to their channels, or by donating “bits,” a Twitch currency that can be converted to real money. The site also runs advertisements during streams. The platform and streamers split the revenue from ads and subscriptions. It is difficult to determine how much money individual streamers earn from their Twitch channels, but some of the far-right personalities have made many thousands of dollars. By viewing chat logs of streams that denote when a new user has subscribed, Ms. Oh has tallied at least $26,000 in subscriptions for Ms. Maras-Lindeman since December and about $5,000 in “bit” donations before Twitch took its cut. Ms. Weaver has earned nearly $3,000 since she began streaming regularly on Twitch in March, according to Ms. Oh’s tally, and Mr. Paine has made at least $5,000. Those numbers do not account for money made in other ways, such as through Square’s Cash App or Ms. Weaver’s online merchandise store. Twitch generally has stricter rules than other social media platforms for the kinds of views that users can express. It temporarily suspended Mr. Trump’s account for “hateful conduct” last summer, months before Facebook and Twitter made similar moves. Its community guidelines prohibit hateful conduct and harassment. Ms. Clemens said Twitch was developing a misinformation policy. This month, Twitch announced a policy that would allow it to suspend the accounts of people who committed crimes or severe offenses in real life or on other social media platforms, including violent extremism or membership in a known hate group. Twitch said it did not consider QAnon to be a hate group. Despite all this, a Twitch channel belonging to Enrique Tarrio, the leader of the Proud Boys, a white nationalist organization, remained online until the middle of this month after The New York Times inquired about it. And the white nationalist Anthime Joseph Gionet, known as Baked Alaska, had a Twitch channel for months, even though he was arrested in January by the F.B.I. and accused of illegally storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Twitch initially said his activities had not violated the platform’s policies, then barred him this month for hateful conduct. Ms. Maras-Lindeman and Mr. Paine are Twitch Partners, a coveted status that grants improved customer support and greater options to customize streams. Twitch vets these channels to approve what they do. The company’s website says partners should “act as role models to the community.” Ms. Maras-Lindeman, who is barred from Twitter, averaged about 3,000 viewers a broadcast in March, and her live video broadcast quickly became one of the 1,200 most popular channels across all of Twitch. Her streams are often akin to extended monologues about current events. Sometimes, the “O” in her “ToreSays” username is replaced with a fiery “Q,” and she uses the slogan “Where we go one, we go all,” both symbols of the QAnon movement. She has encouraged her viewers to find legal avenues to throw Ohio legislators out of office because, she said, they were elected using illegitimate voting machines. “You want a great reset? Here it is. We’re going to do it our way, and that’s by eliminating you,” she said during one January stream. Aside from money made on Twitch, Ms. Maras-Lindeman’s fans donated more than $84,000 for her birthday through a GoFundMe campaign. She said the donations went toward a new car, medical treatments and a lawyer. In an email, Ms. Maras-Lindeman disputed the characterization of her as a member of the far right and said she did not advocate violence. “It is not a crime to discuss science and challenge popular current narratives or express my thoughts and opinions,” she said. On a recent stream, Ms. Maras-Lindeman addressed questions emailed to her for this article. She said she was a “centrist” who was simply encouraging her viewers to become more politically active. Mr. Paine’s channel has more than 14,000 followers and is rife with conspiracy theories about vaccines and cancer. In one stream, he and a guest encouraged viewers to drink a bleach solution that claims to cure cancer, which the Food and Drug Administration has said is dangerous. Last week, he referred to a QAnon belief that people are killing children to “harvest” a chemical compound from them, then talked about a “criminal cabal” controlling the government, saying people do not understand “what plane of existence they come from.” Mr. Paine, who is barred from Twitter and YouTube, has also asked his Twitch audience to donate to the House campaign of J.R. Majewski, an Air Force veteran in Toledo, Ohio, who attracted attention last year for painting his lawn to look like a Trump campaign banner. Mr. Majewski has used QAnon hashtags but distanced himself from the movement in an interview with his local newspaper, The Toledo Blade. Mr. Majewski has appeared on Mr. Paine’s streams, where they vape, chat about Mr. Majewski’s campaign goals and take calls from listeners. “He is exactly the type of person that we need to get in Washington, D.C., so that we can supplant these evil cabal criminal actors and actually run our own country,” Mr. Paine said on one stream. Neither Mr. Paine nor Mr. Majewski responded to a request for comment. Joan Donovan, a Harvard University researcher who studies disinformation and online extremism, said streamers who rely on their audience’s generosity to fund themselves felt pressured to continue raising the stakes. “The incentive to lie, cheat, steal, hoax and scam is very high when the cash is easy to acquire,” she said. @i-am-mara-a-dyer another theory: Joseph has AL's ability. If Mara has the ability of her grandmother, Joseph may have the ability of their grandfather.
Someone also pointed out that in the Goodreads group. We can only have theories for now.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 19
6:00–10:00 p.m. Special Sneak Peek Screenings (Ballroom 20)
Deception: From Chuck co-creator Chris Fedak, the Blindspot creative team of Martin Gero, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, Emmy®-winning director David Nutter and renowned magician/puzzle creator David Kwong, Deception is a thrilling crime drama that combines FBI counter-espionage with the mysterious world of magic and misdirection. When his career is ruined by scandal, superstar magician Cameron Black (Jack Cutmore-Scott) has only one place to turn to practice his art of deception, illusion and influence — the FBI. Using every trick in the book and inventing new ones, he will help the government catch the world’s most elusive criminals while staging the biggest illusions of his career. Deception stars Jack Cutmore-Scott, Ilfenesh Hadera, Lenora Crichlow, Amaury Nolasco, Justin Chon, Laila Robins and Vinnie Jones. From Berlanti Productions and Quinn’s House in association with Warner Bros. Television, Deception premieres midseason on ABC.
Krypton: Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Based on DC characters, Krypton is from Warner Horizon Scripted Television and is executive produced by David S. Goyer through his Phantom Four banner, along with Damian Kindler and Cameron Welsh. Krypton is based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, published by DC, and will debut in 2018 on SYFY.
Black Lightning: Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) is a man wrestling with a secret. As the father of two daughters and principal of a charter high school that also serves as a safe haven for young people in a neighborhood overrun by gang violence, he is a hero to his community. Nine years ago, Pierce was a hero of a different sort. Gifted with the superhuman power to harness and control electricity, he used those powers to keep his hometown streets safe as the masked vigilante Black Lightning. However, after too many nights with his life on the line, and seeing the effects of the damage and loss that his alter ego was inflicting on his family, he left his Super Hero days behind and settled into being a principal and a dad. Choosing to help his city without using his superpowers, he watched his daughters Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and Jennifer (China Anne McClain) grow into strong young women, even though his marriage to their mother, Lynn (Christine Adams), suffered. Almost a decade later, Pierce’s crime-fighting days are long behind him…or so he thought. But with crime and corruption spreading like wildfire, and those he cares about in the crosshairs of the menacing local gang The One Hundred, Black Lightning returns — to save not only his family, but also the soul of his community. Based on the characters from DC, Black Lightning is from Berlanti Productions and Akil Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Salim Akil & Mara Brock Akil and Sarah Schechter. Black Lightning premieres midseason on The CW.

Join us for a special video presentation followed by a Q&A with series stars Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, David Anders and Aly Michalka, as well as executive producers Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright. (Ballroom 20)
12:30–1:30 p.m. The 100 Special Video Presentation and Q&A — Following the surprising events of the season finale, join The 100 as the critically acclaimed series returns to San Diego for its annual appearance at Comic-Con. More than six years have passed since Praimfaya ravaged the planet, and killed most of the human race. As Clarke waits to hear from the group on the Ark, or in the bunker, a new mystery drops from the sky. Who is in the arriving ship, and are they friends or enemies? One thing is certain, Clarke is now the Grounder! Be among the first to find out what’s in store for season five. Join us for a special video presentation followed by a Q&A with series stars Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Lindsey Morgan, Christopher Larkin, Richard Harmon and executive producer Jason Rothenberg. (Ballroom 20)
3:15–4:00 p.m. [adult swim]: Mike Tyson Mysteries — It was a unanimous victory last time, but Iron Mike Tyson is taking on Comic-Con again and this rematch is sure to live up to all the hype. Currently in its third season of solving mysteries, the Mike Tyson Mystery Team has all-new episodes airing on Adult Swim. Join Mike Tyson, fellow voice cast member Rachel Ramras and producer Hugh Davidson for an exclusive look at upcoming episodes. (Indigo Ballroom)
6:00–7:00 p.m. People of Earth Premiere Episode Screening and Q&A — The TBS sci-fi comedy series People of Earth — from Emmy®-winning executive producers Conan O’Brien and Greg Daniels, and creator David Jenkins — brings an all-new season of less-than-perfect aliens, botched abductions and extraterrestrial investigation as Ozzie (Wyatt Cenac) and the StarCrossed group of alien “experiencers” living in the small town of Beacon, N.Y. continue their journey for truth. Complicating matters this season — both above and on Earth — is the arrival of a new alien on the spaceship as well as a smart and dedicated FBI investigator (Nasim Pedrad) who heads to Beacon on a mission to track down fugitive CEO Jonathan Walsh (Michael Cassidy). Join cast members Ana Gasteyer, Oscar Nunez, Michael Cassidy, Ken Hall, Björn Gustafsson and Nasim Pedrad, along with series creator/executive producer David Jenkins for an exclusive screening of the season two premiere episode followed by a Q&A discussion covering what’s next in this all-new season.   SATURDAY, JULY 22
‪11:00–11:45 p.m. Riverdale Special Video Presentation and Q&A — Following the shocking first season finale, don’t miss Riverdale when it returns to San Diego for its second appearance at Comic-Con! Join Archie and the gang as they dive into the secrets that continue to loom over what once looked like a quiet, sleepy town. The circumstances surrounding Fred’s shooting kick off the mystery of season two. Based on the characters from Archie Comics and produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, this one-hour drama is a bold, subversive take on the surreality of small-town life. Join us for a special video presentation followed by a Q&A with series stars KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, Ashleigh Murray, Casey Cott, Haley Law, Asha Bromfield and producers Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Sarah Schechter and Jon Goldwater. (Ballroom 20)
‪12:00–1:00 p.m. The Originals Special Video Presentation and Q&A — The Originals returns for a fifth season with more supernatural intrigue, romance and bloodshed in The Big Easy. Join executive producer Julie Plec and series stars Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Yusuf Gatewood and Riley Voelkel for a special video presentation followed by a Q&A. (Indigo Ballroom)
‪1:15–1:45 p.m. Krypton Special Video Presentation and Q&A — Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Join series star Cameron Cuffe and executive producers Damian Kindler and Cameron Welsh for a sneak peek at the upcoming series followed by an out-of-this-world Q&A. (Indigo Ballroom)
1:50–2:50 p.m. Lucifer Special Video Presentation and Q&A — Lucifer returns to San Diego to heat things up. The climactic events of the season finale left us wondering, where in the world is Lucifer and how did he get his wings back? Join the series stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Rachael Harris, Kevin Alejandro, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer and executive producers Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich for a special video presentation and Q&A where they’ll discuss the sizzling second season and what’s in store for Lucifer in season three! (Indigo Ballroom)
2:50–3:50 p.m. Gotham Special Video Presentation and Q&A — Gotham’s origin story continues to unfold, and as the show enters its fourth season, the stakes will be higher than ever! With the Court of Owls decimated, the aftermath of the Tetch virus crippling the city, and every (surviving) villain in Gotham’s underworld jockeying for power, Jim Gordon and the GCPD will have their hands full. And that’s just the beginning! What threat does Ra’s al Ghul pose, and will Penguin regain his title as the King of Gotham? What new villains are in store for season four, and what does Bruce Wayne’s season finale reveal mean for Gotham City — and his ultimate destiny? Be among the first to see what’s in store for season four as Gotham returns to Comic-Con for a special video presentation, followed by a Q&A with series stars and producers. (Indigo Ballroom)
3:30–4:10 p.m. Supergirl Special Video Presentation and Q&A — Ridding National City of Queen Rhea and her Daxamite army was a major win for Supergirl, but one that came at a significant cost, as Kara was forced to sacrifice her budding relationship with Mon-El. When season three returns with all-new supercharged adventures this fall on The CW, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign. Want to know more about Reign and what she has in store for the Girl of Steel? Join the series’ cast and creative team for a special video presentation, followed by a Q&A where they’ll discuss this hot topic and more! (Ballroom 20)
4:10–4:50 p.m. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Special Video Presentation and Q&A — After crash landing the Waverider in a version of 2017 Los Angeles where dinosaurs roam the streets and the skyline is adorned with London’s iconic Big Ben clock tower, the Legends were quick to realize that “we broke time.” Last year, the loveable band of misfit heroes traveled throughout the timeline fixing a series of Aberrations. This year, they’ll be turning the crazy up to 11, as a wave of Anachronisms turns History on its head, leaving the Legends responsible for piecing it back together. What is an Anachronism you ask? For the answer to that, and many other questions, join cast members Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and producers at their annual Comic-Con panel. (Ballroom 20)
4:15–5:15 p.m. Westworld Panel and Q&A — HBO’s Westworld concluded its critically acclaimed first season in December and is currently saddling up for season two. The series — created, executive produced and written by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy — is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Cast panelists include (in alphabetical order) Ben Barnes as Logan, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal as Armistice, Ed Harris as the Man in Black, Luke Hemsworth as Stubbs, James Marsden as Teddy, Thandie Newton as Maeve, Simon Quarterman as Lee Sizemore, Rodrigo Santoro as Hector, Angela Sarafyan as Clementine, Jimmi Simpson as William, Tessa Thompson as Charlotte Hale, Evan Rachel Wood as Dolores, Shannon Woodward as Elsie and Jeffrey Wright as Bernard/Arnold. The panel will be moderated by internationally renowned vocal artist/beatboxer/musician and comedian Reggie Watts. (Hall H)
4:50–5:10 p.m. Black Lightning Special Video Presentation and Q&A — Black Lightning makes its Comic-Con debut! Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) is a man wrestling with a secret. Join series stars Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain and Christine Adams, along with executive producers Salim Akil & Mara Brock Akil for an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming series along with an electrifying Q&A session. (Ballroom 20)
5:10–5:50 p.m. The Flash Special Video Presentation and Q&A — Running up against an evil time remnant version of yourself is something no one should ever have to do, but that’s exactly what faced Barry Allen (aka The Flash) as he fought to save the life of fiancée Iris West from the God of Speed known as Savitar. Barry’s victory was short-lived, however, as an unbalanced Speed Force began to wreak havoc on Central City, forcing Barry to sacrifice himself for the greater good. With The Fastest Man Alive now trapped inside an extra-dimensional energy, and unknown dangers lurking in the shadows, it will be up to Team Flash to free Barry from his own personal Hell. Join cast members Grant Gustin, Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Keiynan Lonsdale and producers of The CW’s highest-rated series at their annual Comic-Con panel, and be among the first to find out where things will pick up when season four returns this fall. (Ballroom 20)
5:50–6:30 p.m. Arrow Special Video Presentation and Q&A — With the future of the team left hanging in the balance, Arrow gave new definition to the phrase “blowing up the show.” The emotional showdown between Oliver Queen and Adrian Chase was the perfect conclusion to a stellar fifth season of The CW’s gritty DC Super Hero series. Now, the focus shifts to uncovering the fate of each and every member of Team Arrow. Could anyone have possibly survived an island-wide explosion, or has the book closed on them, as it has on Oliver’s five-year flashback story? Returning to San Diego Comic-Con for a sixth consecutive year, cast members Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Emily Bett Rickards, Paul Blackthorne, Katie Cassidy, Echo Kellum, Juliana Harkavy, Rick Gonzalez and producers will be on-hand for an eye-opening conversation about the upcoming season.
