RECLAIMING THE MUSE
To anyone who thinks that Karlie Kloss was PR to cover for Diana (or Lily- who like Dianna -has been out of the picture for years.)
What ? Are there 7 photos combined of both of them (and 2 of them aren’t even Lily)
please seek help.
Karlie Kloss has had gay/ bi rumors circulating about her since …forever.
It was kind of known /unspoken knowledge among her inner circle and folks in the industry.
She’s been connected to Toni Garrn, Jourdan Dunn, Leigh Lezark among others before she was involved with Taylor.
Karlie Kloss and her androgynous self is definitely a woman’s woman if you know what I mean.
She’s never really dated men
Her best friend Derek is gay.
Derek introduced her to Josh
Josh was rumored to be involved with Mikey Hess…it goes on and on
Let me remind you of one of Karlie’s hilarious early slips of the tongue and gay panic that followed…
…”my exxxxxxx, well SHES a top manicurist now”
Now please tell me why Taylor Swift and her PR machine would get a rumored gay woman ( kk) to cover for the fact that Taylor was gay or involved with another woman.
Hiding a secret gay relationship with another secret gay relationship?
ARE YOU FOR REAL?
It makes absolutely zero sense not to mention how in most of Taylor’s discography the songs are clearly about Karlie.
If that was PR they need about 7 Oscars awarded to them.
AND…
New York City wasn’t screaming Diana’s or Lily’s name nor are they “tall and handsome as hell” or” fit like a daydream.” Or the West Village” “Argumentative, antithetical dream girl” “ the one I was dancing with in NY” Gold Rush” etc …
Karlie Elizabeth (Betty) Kloss
Who else besides Karlie Kloss had a garden gate ????
I could go on but you get the point
Seriously whoever “thunk” this one up needs a day or two off.
STOP TRYING TO REWRITE HISTORY BECAUSE YOU DONT LIKE KARLIE.
ITS ALWAYS ANYONE BUT KK WITH THESE PEOPLE WHO HAVE LITERALLY ACCUSED HER OF MADE UP WAR CRIMES WITH ABSOLUTELY ZERO EVIDENCE.
My money is on “Karlie Kloss is a better human than most …” Taylor actually told us…”Dreams of your hair and your stare and sense of belief in the good in the world”
And for the record I’m not saying Diana ever happened. Of course it did but it was over before the 1989 era began.
You can not make up lore or change the timeline. Stop creating a false reality. That’s called delusion.
Karlie Kloss. Say her name

La Lionne
Texte de Pauline Laroche-Vachaud
Tumblr media

I give easement and rest now to thee, dear man, that ye walk not down the lanes or in our meadows. And for thy peace I pawn my own soul. Amen.
Home lies at the fringe of civilization, a commune where the wind cuts and the crops are tough to the teeth. Home is isolation, a place where trust does not extend beyond the fences that encircle them. Life is governed by rigid divisions: men from women, and daily life steeped in prayers uttered in the archaic tongue of Old English. Her mother, she discovers, holds a role steeped in ancient ritual – a sin eater, a vocation she later learns has long vanished beyond the commune's boundaries. The mantle of sin, she knows, will one day be hers to bear, a legacy passed from mother to daughter.
She observes and absorbs the ways of the sin eater. They hear deathbed confessions. Each funeral, each interment, requires their solemn presence. Cakes, symbolic of the deceased's sins, are laid before the sin eater. With each bite, they absorb these transgressions, their consumption a rite that purifies the soul, allowing the departed to ascend to heaven.
To liberate a soul at the threshold of death is a role both deeply revered and intensely feared. Sin eaters, those who dare to barter with their own souls to amass the sins of others, are regarded with a blend of awe and trepidation. Such a sacrificial act, though honored, is often shrouded in whispers of dark magic, witchcraft, and dealings with supernatural forces, or even the Devil himself. To meet the gaze of a sin eater, if only for an instant, is believed to be an omen of misfortune.
Her time arrives, a solitary existence in the ancestral house skirting the village, where silence and averted gazes from the commune are commonplace and constant. She partakes in the ritual consumption of corpse cakes and wine, each sin of others adding weight to her family's tapestry, an ever-growing burden. Life unfolds in this solemn pattern, until an unforeseen event disrupts its rhythm.
The death of the commune leader beckons her to his funeral, to consume his sins, but hesitation grips her. Before his passing, he had confessed to her, revealing the repugnant abuse of his power. These confessions polluted her spirit, tainted her dreams, soured even the sweetest of fruits. Her only regret was that he met his end before she could play any role in it.
Defying all precedent, she absents herself from his funeral, a decision laden with grave consequences. When the commune descends upon her home, they find it devoid of her presence.
The city becomes her new haven, a stark contrast to her previous life. Here, there are no rigid divisions, at least not like those in the commune. Everyone bears the weight of their own sins.
An opportunity arises with Stoneage, a position for a 'memory maker.' Her expertise in the realm of confessions, sins, and raw memories makes her a strange, but fitting candidate. They take a gamble on her, and it pays off; she proves herself both diligent and prolific. But she grows curious, about what she can take and give within living human memory, and she has not yet known the finer nuances of subterfuge - she is discovered.
She is no longer a memory maker, but she still continues her work, and soon discovers it has every potential to be lucrative. It has every potential to bring back that which is familiar - sin eating. Powerful people who have died and are in need of hierographies and memorial movies to play at their funerals, their mausoleums, their museums and remembrances, and want a... clean legacy. Who want their sins absolved, forgotten by all but her.
She dubs her service "Cuts of Paradise."
Her clientele grows, now including the wealthiest seeking her unique services for more than mere memory curation. Bad deals, damning witnesses, debts too great to bear – they need these memories erased from those who would remember it. Not through violence or murder, but through oblivion.
Just forget. Forget about the bad deal. Forget about what they saw. Forget about forgetting.
She is innately attuned to this calling. Born to bear the sins of others, she navigates this labyrinth of forgotten transgressions, a guardian of erased memories, a modern-day sin eater in a world that unknowingly harbors ancient rites.
SUMMARY: Raised in a remote commune at civilization's edge, where harsh winds blow and trust is confined within rigid fences, she learns of her role as a sin eater from her mother, a legacy steeped in old rituals and looked upon with reverence and repulsion alike. Her life revolves around attending funerals and consuming corpse cakes symbolizing the deceased's sins, a rite believed to purify souls for their ascent to heaven. This revered yet feared practice defines her until an event disrupts her life: the death of the commune leader, whose confessed sins haunt her. Choosing to not perform her duty at his funeral, she faces the commune's wrath and flees to the city. Here, she initially struggles but finds a job at Stoneage as a 'memory maker,' drawing on her sin-eating experience. However, her exploration into living memories leads to her discovery and subsequent departure from Stoneage. Adapting her sin-eating skills, she starts "Cuts of Paradise," offering services to erase memories for wealthy clients seeking clean legacies or to be freed from bad dealings. In this modern world, she continues her ancestral calling, navigating a new labyrinth of forgotten sins and erased memories as a contemporary sin eater.

Aurel - Vaucluse

The Typical overpriced NYC apt. story- Jourdan & Tobin bought this 242 sq. ft. West Village apt. for $270,000 several years ago. They spent another $33,000 renovating it. It’s lovely, but so small, and now it’s probably worth over $350,000.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The apt. is just one long, narrow space, but it does have a fireplace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They have a streamlined Murphy bed and the sofa cushions tuck underneath. The decor is classically beautiful, though. They did a great job.

THE CHARLATAN.
With the drums of rebellion echoing across the kingdom, CYBELE URIAS  is currently sworn to NO ONE. THEY currently bear the face of JOURDAN DUNN and are 31  YEARS OLD.
CYBELE is currently known as the Hound of Celeia. They claim to utilize their seer abilities to sense mages, but in reality, they have no magical abilities. Their childhood spent as a con-artist allows them to lie and manipulate their way through tough situations, and their connections to high society allows them to remain rather influential in Celeia.
ALEIA IACTA EST.
YOU HAVE KNOWN GREED SINCE YOUR FIRST BREATH. Your parents were known con artists, swindling the working class and utilizing you as their key weapon. You, with your innocent gaze and honeyed words, were the lure that drew the unsuspecting victims to their financial demise. You played the orphan, the runaway, the lost child seeking to reunite with their loved ones, all so you could help your family live a life of luxury they didn’t deserve. You never stopped to wonder if it was wrong to steal money from those who rightfully earned it, because in your mind, you deserved it more. Your heart ached with the whisper of wanting more, and as you grew up, that need grew to a deafening scream. You began to see your parents as competitors rather than the beings that raised you. In your mind, they were robbing you of your deserved spoils. Why should you share the wealth when you were the one that did all the work? What had they done other than teach you the art of the con? Your answer was nothing, and that mindset led you to an act of betrayal that carved a whole new path for you. You knew you had to get them out of your way, but it wasn’t until you heard whispers of a mage being found in the village that you realized the power you had at your fingertips.
Mages had been fed to the slaughter since the Maximus takeover, and you were amazed how easy it was to convince a whole village of two mages’ presence. It didn’t matter that neither being had shown any inkling of magical ability—fear of the king’s wrath remained stronger than reason. Your eyes shone with a hint of light as your parents were led away by palace guards, and in their absence, your newfound “power” emerged. You remade yourself as a seer able to detect the presence of magic in individuals. You knew the nobility would pay big sums to detect those with hidden powers and feed them to the king to further their standings, and you carved yourself a place among the elite. You become their seeker— the hound unleashed to sniff out the hidden treasures. It didn’t matter that it was all a ruse, or that you were sending innocent people to their deaths all to satiate your unending greed. With the riches gifted to you, you donned a golden crown and practically declared yourself a king. But though you hate to admit it, that greed that cradled you since birth continued to linger in your chest. Your mind couldn’t help but wonder: What comes next?
CONNECTIONS.
JUNO CALIDUS. Employer. You’ve found that people are willing to pay for your services for a variety of reasons. You’ve learned not to question the motives of your clients, and the same courtesy is extended towards Juno. When they offered to pay you to track down a blue-flamed mage, the only question on your tongue was how many do you want. It didn’t matter that you had never seen such a mage, nor did it matter that you had no innate ability of truly scoping one out, all that mattered was that the client continued to believe you were capable of the task—which you were. You found plenty of real mages over your years as a fake seer, so surely you could manage to capture one mage that fit the scientist’s description. If not, then perhaps you’ll have to do what you do best— lie and con your way to success.
ALLEGRA MAXIMUS. Temptation. To be graced with the presence of the royal bastard was certainly an honor. You saw her interest in you as a marker of your success, and for that reason, you continue to hear her out. To work as the royal family’s personal eyes was a tempting offer, but there was a certain allure about working independently that you found difficult to part with. While you weigh your decision, you’ll continue to play with the king’s daughter. You find people fascinating, mysteries meant to be cracked open and inspected for your own greed and amusement, and the same could be said about the spare. You want to learn her ticks, what causes that fire to form behind her eyes, and especially, you want to know how to manipulate it to benefit yourself in the long run. Even if you don’t accept the king’s generous offer, you see Allegra as another name to have in your back pocket.
DIDO IULLA. Toy. You’ve always been obsessive about pretty things, and Dido is like a jewel plucked straight from your golden crown. You’ve always had an uncanny sense of knowing when she’s around, and you can’t help but make a game out of your little run-ins. You don’t even have to try hard to make her uncomfortable— your mere presence seems to be enough to make the poor girl lose that carefree façade she dons so well. You find a bit of amusement in your little game of cat and mouse, like a simple pastime used to distract you from your idle hunger, but you know it’ll have to end eventually. The mouse will always eventually outplay the cat, and that will be when you’ll have to decide your true feelings about the girl— if you want to collect her like your multitude of riches, or if you want to destroy her beauty like you’ve done so easily to others.
AMADEUS BOVERI. Irritant. You’re used to eyes being on you. The prized hound of the noble class, you draw attention the moment you walk into a room. The difference in this, though, is that you don’t crave Amadeus’ attention like you do the upper crest of society. The lonely innkeeper was a strange one to you— watching you like they sought to study your every move. It made you irritated to not know the true motive behind their watchful gaze, and you sought to find out the answers before they could finish their observation of you. You didn’t want to be understood by someone that couldn’t even pay for a moment of your time. You especially didn’t want them figuring out that your whole persona is a lie. They could unravel your whole way of life, and you simply couldn’t allow it. You just needed to figure out a way to get them off your back— for something tells you that they won’t go as easily as your other victims.

Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, author, mime, actress, and journalist, her most critically acclaimed work, Gigi was published when she was aged 72 .... Read more below
Born 147 years ago today, 28th January 1873, Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, was a French author and woman of letters nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1948; also known as a mime, actress, and journalist. Colette was born in the village of Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye in Burgundy. She departed from village life for Paris at age 20, marrying the music critic Henry Gauthier-Villars, who was known in the literary world as Willy. Her husband grew interested in the stories of her school days and asked her to write them down. The four Claudine stories: Claudine à l'école (1900), Claudine à Paris (1901), Claudine en ménage (1902), and Claudine s'en va (1903) – appeared under his name. The four are published in English as Claudine at School, Claudine in Paris, Claudine Married, and Claudine and Annie. The novels chart the coming of age and young adulthood of their titular heroine, Claudine, from an unconventional fifteen-year-old in a Burgundian village to a doyenne of the literary salons of turn-of-the-century Paris. The story they tell is semi-autobiographical, although Claudine, unlike Colette, is motherless. The stories grew immensely popular throughout France, even spawning memorabilia like perfumes and school uniforms. When Colette didn't want to write the stories, her husband locked her inside her room until she would write. The writer's marriage with Willy ended after 13 years. After her marriage with Willy disintegrated, Colette became a music hall dancer to support herself, she had no access to the sizable earnings of the Claudine books as the copyright belonged to Willy. Colette continued her writing career with articles about politics, fashion, cooking, and drama. Before her second marriage, she had relationships with several women, including Mathilde de Morny, or "Missy," a cross-dressing lesbian entertainer. In 1907, their kiss on stage at the Moulin Rouge caused an uproar, but the liaison wouldn't last. In 1912, Colette married Henry de Jouvenel, the editor of Le Matin. A daughter, Colette de Jouvenel, nicknamed Bel-Gazou, was born to them in 1913. During World War I Colette devoted herself to journalism. In 1920 Colette published Chéri, portraying love between an older woman and a much younger man. Chéri is the lover of Léa, a wealthy courtesan; Léa is devastated when Chéri marries a girl his own age, and delighted when he returns to her, but after one final night together she sends him away again. Colette's marriage to Jouvenel ended in divorce in 1924, due partly to his infidelities and partly to her affair with her 16-year-old stepson, Bertrand de Jouvenel.  In 1925 she met Maurice Goudeket, who became her final husband; the couple stayed together until her death The last three decades of her life were some of Colette's most notable years for her career. At age 72, she published her most critically acclaimed work, Gigi, which tells the story of sixteen-year-old Gilberte ("Gigi") Alvar. Born into a family of demimondaines, Gigi is trained as a courtesan to captivate a wealthy lover, but defies the tradition by marrying him instead. In 1949 it was made into a French film starring Danièle Delorme and Gaby Morlay, then in 1951 adapted for the stage with the then-unknown Audrey Hepburn in the title role, picked by Colette personally; the 1958 Hollywood musical movie, starring Leslie Caron and Louis Jourdan, with a screenplay by Alan Jay Lerner and a score by Lerner and Frederick Loewe, won the Academy Award for Best Picture. On her death on August 3rd, 1954, she was refused a religious funeral by the Catholic Church on account of her divorces, but given a state funeral, the first French woman of letters to be granted the honour
In the 1991 film Becoming Colette, Colette is played by the French actress Mathilda May. In the 2018 film Colette, the title character is played by Keira Knightley. Both films focus on Colette's life in her twenties, her marriage to her first husband, and the publication of her first novels under his name. - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5437928/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 . Conscription during the French Revolution (Jean-Paul Bertaud)
Drawing inspiration from the writings of the philosophers of the 17th century, the politicians of the Revolution, of the Constituant Assembly as well as of the Legislative Assembly and the Convention, maintained the principle of military duty: the citizen had to have two costumes, the one of his trade and the one of the soldier. The citizen was a soldier in power, the solider remained, under the flag, a citizen. In fact, the principle was never really applied until the era of the Directory. The Constituent Assembly, in its beginnings, limited itself to levying 100,000 auxiliaries for the troops of the line, and later, in 1791, volunteers from the National Guard. The Legislative Assembly, in spite of the declaration of La patrie en danger, also limited itself to levying Volunteers, and the Girondin Convention, while reaffirming the principle of obligatory military service, did the same. The law of 23 August 1793, passed under the pressure of the sans-culottes and of the Jacobins, only envisaged a requisition of young bachelors or of widowers without children between the ages of 18 and 25 for the duration of the war: the requisition should only be a helping hand given, in a period of time which was hoped to be short, to the already standing army.
After Thermidor the army grew gradually weaker, while the number of dersertions increased and the requisition ran out, for lack of coactive force of the Montagnards. In 1797, the headcount of the army fell alsmost from almost a million to 365,000. Such a contingent was insufficent for facing the war, which flared up again everywhere in Europe.
General Jourdan, deputy in the Council of Five Hundred, presented a mobilisation project on 23 Nivôse Year VI (12 January 1798). Obligatory military service for all was henceforth a reality: young men from 18 to 21 years of age in peacetime, from 18 to 24 in times of war, would henceforth be enrolled. As France only needed a limited number of troops in peactime, Jourdan proposed to draw lots in order to determine who would actually have to depart. Delbrel, the deputy from Tarn, spoke against such a procedure, as he considered it to be antidemocratic.
The Jourdan Law was finally passed on 19 Fructidor Year VI (5 September 1798). It regulated military service for almost a century. All Frenchmen of military age (20 completed years) had to be inscrits ensemble (i.e. conscrits) on the tables of recruitment of the army and remain there until the age of 25. All Frenchmen born in the same year formed a class. Military service lasted five years in peacetime and rested upon the youngest of each class. Soldiers enrolled in the navy and married men were exempted. Men between 20 and 25 years of age could not travel without a passport on which their military situation was recorded. In case of relocation, young men had to inform their municipality of origin ; thereby, the authorities hoped to counter insoumission. The insoumis was persecuted, arrested and judged as a deserter. No Frenchman could hold a public office or enjoy his rights as a citizen if he had not fulfilled his military duties.
The municipal administrations drew up the tables of conscription on the authority of the central administrations of the department or of the Ministry of War. Surgeons or doctors were appointed in order to form medical boards. In these, five family fathers sat who had children serving in the army, deciding on who to recruit or to exempt ; due to these boards, we still possess, for numerous departments, information on the physical aspect and health status of thousands of young men from the end of the First Republic, from the Consulate and the Empire. Not all administrations showed scrupulous care in organising the conscription, and in April 1799, when the war started again, many tables remained devoid of information.
The municipalities, which supported the military cause, show us the « bons pour le service » gathering in the administrative centre of the department and, in groups of hundred or two hundred, leaving on foot under the command of a former officer. Their departure gave rise to public manifestations: the representative of the government rediscovered the language of Year II in order to glorify the Revolution, the community gathered in a banquet, where one swore « hatred to tyrants » and one distributed travel provisions to the conscripts, a ball closing the festivities. On the next day, the community accompanied those who departed to the last hurdle of the city or of the village. « The example of their elders, the account of victories ignited their hearts ; and why should it be otherwise, are they not French, wrote a commissioner of the directory ». Reality was often different: while many villagers in the border zones which were directly threatened rediscovered the gestures and the enthusiasm of the first moments of the Republic, there were also processions, almost funeral, surrounding an open coffin, into which the conscripts would, as a gesture of mourning, throw their freshly cut hair.
In Year VI, among 202,000 conscripts, 143,000 were recognised as fit and only 93,000 departed. In the spring of 1799, the Directory decided to levy 150,000 men, designated by drawing lots. The law of 28 Germinal Year VII (17 April 1799) went counter to the principle of equality: the conscripts, drawn by lot, could indeed include substitutes between 18 and 20 years of age. Drawing by lots and replacement aroused protests: the drawing was, according to some, reinstituting a practice of the Ancien Régime. The replacement? The poor asked: was the blood of the rich worth more than theirs? There were insurrections, only amplified by royalist propaganda, as in the region of Toulouse. The law of 19 Messidor Year VII (28 June 1799), passed under the pressure increased by the Coalition, ordered that the ones who had been exempted from the prior levies would have to return before the councils in order to have a medical examination ; the departments of the West, who had been protected until had, had to contribute. This was the starting point of a new revolt that was marked by the occupation, for some time, of Mans, Nantes and Saint-Brieuc. The royalists mingled with the réfractaires here. In spite of everything, the levy provided nearly 400,000 men, who allowed Masséna and Brune to halt the offensive. Victories were achieved which the Bonapartist propaganda minimised on the eve of the coup d'état of 18 Brumaire.
Under the Consulate and the Empire, Napoleon Bonaparte took over the essentials of the previous laws on conscription. He perfected a « machine conscriptionnelle », bequeathed by the dead Republic, to the point – the historian I. Woloch has shown this – of making it an effective tool of mobilisation until 1812. Contrary to popular belief, it seems that one can subscribe to what the Emperor said on Saint Helena: « Conscription had rendered the French army the best composed in the world. It was an institution, eminently national yet very progressive in the mores ; henceforth, it was only the mothers who were still distressed by it ; and the time would have come where a girl would not want a boy who has not paid his debt towards the patrie. And it is in this state alone that conscription would have acquired the last level of its advantages: when it is no longer presented as a punishment or as a duty, but has become a point of honour of which everyone is jealous, then alone the nation is great, glorious, strong ; that is when its existence can defy setbacks, invasions, centuries. » Conscription, originally regarded as a burden, was soon recognised as a droit du citoyen and appeared as a democratic safeguard.

“My mother inspires my style most. She worked in fashion as the director of advertising and public relations for Charles Jourdan. Her taste and gems from the 70s and 80s have been the foundation for my style.
My style fluctuates between a casual 70s Blythe doll brought to life and a Ralph Lauren country or western wear cowgirl. Or perhaps between a tweed wearing Katherine Hepburn vibe and an ethereal city slicker.”
