Thoughts on “Watching and Dreaming” Part 1

Since this maybe the last time I might actually do one of these, I want to make it count and make it special. I really am going to miss this show. These past few weeks have been difficult.

I loved the cold open of hearing “King Titan’s” voice before the title card showed for the last time. It makes this episode feel more final🥹

Even though it was creepy, I did like Luz in Emperor Belos’ attire. It lowkey fits her.

Seeing Luz, Eda and King all have dreams of their greatest fears is really symbolic of the show centering around them and I appreciate that.

This reunion means so much to me. It’s probably been months since they last saw each other🥹

oh man, those two fics are a couple of my absolute favorites, here's a lil breakdown on both:

💥 NOBODY GETS ME, YOU DO • this is probably my biggest fic in my brain right now that would ideally be posted all in one post ( similarly to @upsidedownwithsteve's camp fics if you've read those! ), but i just haven't had the time to sit and write out the whole story arc and i don't want it to die down like something infinite did. but i love this too with the initial bond, thinking you need something else ( or something 'bigger' – some separation or distance ), and then the slow realization of what's been there all along. i also really love the friction between steve and tommy and really want to dig into / explore that more too. anyway, this'll come someday i hope <3

🦇 COME BACK TO ME • this one was SO FUN. it was a request from the very lovely @carinacassiopeiae – basically king steve making reader fall in love with him on a dare ( a la she's all that FOR SURE ), but wanted more drama and insertion of the upside down universe / higher stakes and that was incredibly fun to write ( dustin cameo and all! ). i really love digging into king steve and that era because it feels so much more complicated and intricate and REAL – makes steve feel human – and unpacking all of his trauma and why he hangs out with these people and how that translates into his other relationships. anyway i could write a LITERAL thesis on this 😵‍💫

okay, but SERIOUSLYYYY, thank you so much for writing this note 😩 i love when people ask me about my writing and want to know more about the process. would you read more from both of these?? or which one feels like you're connecting most with? i would love to expand these universes and give you more ♥️

It’s crazy, I can’t believe it! I completely forgot to get some people gifts and now it’s last minute 😩 I love getting people presents that they really want but, didn’t think they get it or wouldn’t get themselves (I really pay attention and keep track). The shock and joy on their face… I love it!

I don’t remember king of thieves except that as a child I loved it because, Aladdin was everything to me lol I had an Aladdin bedding set, the genie lamp as an actual lamp and I was Jasmin for Halloween when I was 6.

Ahahaha omg I’m sure I’ll love it! I don’t like samples of cosmetics or skincare because, it just ends up piling up in my vanity drawer. My ex’s mom used to give them to me all the time as gifts (especially on Christmas) and most of the time they were used or expired 🤢 and I’d just trash em. She’s extremely wealthy so it wasn’t like she couldn’t afford a full size product to gift lol

I’d pick waited all your life for the music video and make it kinda like a sequel to meeting the master but, more focused on the dark side/elements from that music video. They are searching the woods at night, it’s gives an eerie feeling and Josh is singing to someone that we can’t see till the end and its himself.

I don’t like the chorus in the archer, every time it’s plays to that point I find myself skipping it lol

One more chapter sounds so bittersweet 🥲 It’s not really a secret it’s Jimin’s when I lowkey memorized your masterlist but that gif PLEASE he looks like he gives such amazing hugs I’m about to tackle you 😩😩 okok I haven’t had any guesses for Jimin because we haven’t even seen a hair of him (or have we) so this is a total wild shot in the dark to maybe give you a giggle lol here goes! TUMBLR WHY //2/2// I don’t think Jimin would be a literal king (though I guess a tangent question that just came to mind is whether there is some kind of royalty in this fantasy au?) so instead of a king, maybe some sort of leader? Either rich or powerful or both lol trying to make parallels like Jungkook 👉👈 You know, if he turns out to be one of the hunters or Devoted I might scream 😂 But there are exceptions like Jin…right? -🌱

Plot twist, the next chapter is actually about Soobin or Yeonjun from TXT 💀 (Just kidding lmao, but maybe the TXT kids will make a cameo in a future chapter one of these days 🤔)

It's one more chapter for now, but after that one is posted, I'll be editing the series masterlist to show what's coming up for pt. 2 of the series 😊 But before I work on pt. 2, I think I'll be writing Yoongi's Sleeping Beauty story first (and maybe Hobi's Peter Pan one after).
