The wolf and the rabbit on another mission together. You and Kakashi did missions together frequently because you both were the best Anbus the Leaf had, except today you were off your game. To say you were distracted would be an understatement, luckily this was an easy mission. Go in, steal some shit, get out. Unfortunately, all you could think about was your sisters upcoming wedding to the worst most disgusting man you have ever had the displeasure to meet in your whole life.

It was nightfall, you and Kakashi were trying to be stealth while sneaking into a building to steal some scrolls from the Hidden Village of the Mist. You were moving on autopilot that you didn’t even realize that he had stopped walking, which made you almost run into the back of him.

He glared back at you, “Pay attention” he hissed and you just rolled your eyes under your mask. “If this is about your sisters wedding, you can focus on that AFTER we complete the mission.” He knew you too well, he was one of your few close friends for a reason. You had been complaining about your sisters wedding since the day she got engaged. The calm cool exterior you usually put on always came down when it came to your sister or anyone you loved for that matter. She was all you had and she was about to marry a dumbass. You always put on your best face when he was around but you hated him.

“Just say you’ll come with me then, I can’t do that shit by myself. Just thinking about it makes me angry.” You whisper as he gives you directions to sneak into the place. You went through the window and waited for him to follow behind you.

“Fuck, fine” he exhaled, extremely annoyed with you. You smile triumphantly under your mask and now you can focus on the task at hand. Almost every man in your age group, and some women, were trying to be your plus one to your sisters wedding. Safe to say, you were extremely uninterested, especially because you didn’t want to go your damn self. At least if your best friend came with you, you can talk shit about the whole thing. You have a certain stoic appearance you have to keep up and that would definitely come down if you had a real date.

You efficiently got the scrolls you needed and y’all got out and headed back home. Another successful mission as always. Once back the Hokage took your report and relieved you both. You immediately went home afterwards, needing to have a long soak before having to deal with your sister and this wedding nonsense. You and your sister were complete opposites. She was the most bubbly and sweet person that anyone could meet, the definition of a girlie girl. While you on the other hand, you were serious and some may say a little mean but it was part of your charm, at least that’s what your sister says. This is another reason why you hated this whole wedding situation more than anything, on top of having to dress up for it, she was marrying that man. Your sweet older sister was marrying a man that had the personality of wet garbage. But for whatever reason, she loved him and you would support her behind that. As your bath runs, you start to detangle your hair. Having your hair texture was really inconvenient to your line of work. No matter what style you put it in, unless protective, it always ended up tangled you didn’t understand how. You knew your sister wanted you in braids so you were gonna start the process early before you’re dragged along behind her for the next two days. You spend the night getting all your stuff together and relaxing, it was gonna be a long two days.

WEDDING DAY

You were exhausted, but the smile on your sisters face is the only thing keeping you going, along with the half bottle of sake you’ve already had. There was no way you were getting through this sober. Aki, your sister, had you running around the last two days getting primped and finalizing wedding shit. Right now, you were having the last touches of getting ready, your braids were pulled into a bun and flowers were being placed around it. They were yellow, complimenting your brown skin and yellow kimono perfectly. You looked stunning Aki kept saying as if today wasn’t HER day. She, of course, looked beautiful and radiant, it almost brought tears to your eyes but you dare not mess up the makeup you just got done.

“Kakashi is going to be keeping you in check right?” Aki laughs looking at herself in the mirror. You sigh heavily at this and take another shot of sake.

“Yes ma’am, and I’ll be on my best behavior for you. But also if you just want to cancel everything and dump him that’s completely fine.” You state, trying to be nonchalant but hopeful nonetheless. She laughs and hits your arm.

“I love him.”

“I know.”

You were about to try one last time to suggest she not go through with this when a knock came at the door. This must be a sign that she must get married to this horrible man. After a heavy sigh, you tell them to come in. It was Kakashi. He came in and looked wide-eye(hehe) at you. He of course looked handsome, he always did, still with the mask and headband covering his eye.

“I clean up nice , yeah?” You give a little twirl and almost stumble. Maybe you shouldn’t have drank so much without eating anything. He huffs and shakes his head.

“She’s been drinking.” Aki laughs, as cheerful as ever. You smile and take another shot.

“Just a little, here take one with me” You hand him a glass and pour one for each of you. “ The bride to be wants to stay as coherent as possible apparently.” You both clink cups and somehow he drinks without having his face be show even though you both have seen his face before. After the shot, you put your cup down and grab your sister by the hand.

“I love you Aki and want nothing more than your happiness.” This statement almost brought tears to her eyes, you weren’t known for showing such genuine emotions.

“I love you too Y/N. And I’m so happy, especially with having you here with me.” She smiles brightly and you give her hand a squeeze. You leave to go take your seats.

Kakashi raises a brow at you, “You good?” He asks as you seemingly exhale for the first time.

“Yeah, she’s happy. So, I’m happy.” You say reluctantly. He slips you a flask and you give him a slight smile as you take another sip, he does the same and puts it away.

The wedding was beautiful, the dumb ass did cry when he saw your sister which you guessed was a good thing. That’s what people say at least. She radiated nothing but joy and love as she read her vows to him. Now that the ceremony was over, it was time to party. You finally got a little something to eat and were less drunk than you would have been but still very drunk. The bad influence that you were, you kept feeding Kakashi drinks also so the both of y’all were pretty drunk by the end of the night. As the night turns to end, Kakashi starts walking you home. More like y’all were stumbling to your house. You groan as you try to get the key out to get into your house.

“She looked so pretty and he just looked so, bleh” You say annoyed finally putting the key into the door. You hiccup as you basically fall into the house.

“You look gorgeous though” Kakashi says leaning on your door frame. This caused you to spin on your heels.

“I told you I clean up nicely!” You yell, laughing at the way it looks like he would just sink into the frame. He comes in behind you closing the door as you finally take your braids out of that headache inducing bun. The flowers fall around you as the braids sweep your back.

“You should probably stay, your drunk” you laugh as Kakashi is still standing by the door just looking at you, you raise a brow “What?”

He just stumbles to sit on your couch, taking his mask and headband off. You follow suit, and lay down putting your head in his lap. His lap was so warm and comfortable. You look up at him drunkingly.

“Hymn, maybe you are a little handsome like all the girls say.” You reach up to touch his face and he looks confused at you.

“A little?!” He frowns as you giggle tracing your fingers over his jaw.

That may have been a mistake because now it feels like you can’t breath with how close he is. This is not how it should be going. “Y/N” He breathes and you just blink up at him. You could easily blame this on the alcohol, you were both very drunk and usually not this close when drunk. After what seemed like hours going by of just looking at each other, you’re the first one to cave. You kiss him. It seems to have shocked the both of you, but once he registers what’s happening he kisses you back. His lips were so soft and needy. You pull yourself up to sit in his lap , the kisses were getting more aggressive by the second, hungry. Your heart drops, you had been so in your own space that you didn’t even possibly know what was going on with your sister. Everything in your body wants to leave right then.

Forgot to include this in my last ask, and what are the Naruto Omegas weddings like?

Sure, I'd be happy to share my thoughts! :D

Naruto:

Absolutely massive wedding!

Invites every person he knows.

Even sends out invites to people he knows can't make it because he doesn't want them to be excluded.

He goes for a Western style wedding.

Has an orange wedding cake lol.

Gets Iruka to walk him down the aisle.

He cries the whole time, but like beautiful tears that drip silently while he smiles.

Gets married in the summer and has the whole thing outdoors.

Open bar that he pays for lmao

Doesn't drink any alcohol though. He wants to remember every second in full clarity.

Absolutely sets up a photo booth for people to take as many photos as they want and he keeps all of them in an album that he treasures so much.

Probably has pups before he gets married, so they have a huge part in the wedding.

Keeps two empty chairs in the front row for his parents.

He has a buffet table instead of people serving food, he prefers the vibes.

Sasuke:

Tiny wedding.

Getting married actually means a surprising amount to him, but you wouldn't think so because he's so resistant to doing anything wedding-y.

No traditional at all, in fact there's no traditions really.

It's just him, his alpha, someone to marry them and his team as witnesses.

He didn't invite them, they just demanded to come and showed up.

Can't be convinced for anything more extravagant, but you can have a couple of guests too, provided he knows them.

Sasuke can be persuaded to have a little celebration dinner at a restaurant afterwards, but he won't suggest it himself.

He wears slightly more formal, but still normal clothes and wants everyone else to do the same.

Shino:

Aburame weddings are complicated.

They are always held on the clan compound.

I imagine they have some sort of hand fasting ceremony.

Along with a tradition about making and designing a bouquet for each other.

Aburame omegas wear veil-like things throughout the ceremony and take them off once they are officially married.

The clan has their own traditional wedding wear and it's very modest.

for this reason, summer weddings are only held in the evenings when it is cooler. Konoha is very hot after all and passing oout from heat stroke would not be ideal.

Aburame weddings have parents playing a significant role. Their clan prioritises family a lot, so there is a gift exchange and a sort of tea ceremony thing where the couple in question gift and serve the other's parent(s).

In cases where this is not possible, someone else must stand in place. Either a grandparent, older cousin, trusted teacher or mentor. There can't be no one. One person is fine though if the other parent is not available for whatever reason.

The actual ceremony is very small. Just Shino, his oma, you and your family, and a few special friends.

But the celebration afterwards is quite big, especially for the clan head's son.

It is set up like a fete.

The clan compound is covered in fairy lights and stalls are set up with games, food and activities.

The clan and trusted friends gather and enjoy the festival like environment in the afternoon / evening.

The more important the marriage, the bigger the event.

Shino and his alpha walk around and greet everyone, play games etc.

Alcohol is not prevalent at Aburame celebrations, neither is dancing or loud music.

The couple in question are expected to be by each other's sides for the whole evening.

Even if that means awkwardly hovering outside of the bathrooms for the other person haha.

Children are forbidden from attending the ceremony, but they are expected at the celebration afterwards and there are activities designed for them to keep them busy.

Honestly there is so much more I could say, but yeah, Aburame weddings are almost unrecognisable as weddings sometimes. Shino is really grateful if his alpha joins in with all these celebrations though, it means a lot to him and he really likes these traditions.

Chouji:

Massive wedding.

The entire clan is invited, but it's more like a 'drop by if you want!' kind of invitation for the clan.

Because Chouji is the next clan head, most people stopped by for at least a bit.

Akimichi ceremonies are very individual and up to the couple to organise and design. Akimichi celebrations are massive and last all night XD

Chouji and his mate have a formal ceremony with chairs and gentle live piano music and all their close friends and family gathered.

Chouji asks his friends to use bird seed as confetti hehe.

Chouji dresses fairly formally, but there is no dress code, he just wants his precious people there, they can dress in whatever they want.

He has Shikamaru stand beside him as his best man and his appa give him away.

It's a very sweet ceremony and they write their own vows.

More than a few people cried.

Once the celebrations starts though?

Food everywhere!

Buffets on buffets.

Open bar.

BBQs.

They also have a big dance floor and music.

Chouji makes the wedding very kid friendly as well.

He has a bouncy castle and in the evening a small campfire for the kids (and whoever else) to roast marshmallows.

Everyone has a good time at Chouji's wedding XD

Shikamaru:

Shikamaru has no spine or interest when it comes to wedding planning, so a lot of it is decided by his alpha.

He doesn't care about following clan traditions really, he just doesn't want anything too big or too loud, other than that. You can plan it lol.

So basically, Shikamaru's wedding is almost entirely whatever his alpha wants it to be.

Shikamaru won't walk down the aisle though, and he will wear traditional clothing. Obviously he also wants Chouji around to play a part in the wedding, but other than those things... eh.

Just plan it and give him a veto. It will be easier than trying to actually get an opinion out of him.

Neji:

Neji truly hates every second of his wedding if you haven't managed to extract him from his clan at this point.

He barely speaks the whole time.

He stoically sits through hours of hair and makeup, putting up with the awful cakey feeling on his skin and heavy head ornaments.

He reads and accepts the pre approved vows, which include things about promising to be obedient, with not even a flinch.

He eats without tasting anything.

The first dance is the part he hates the least, but with everyone watching him, he doesn't enjoy it.

He asks you not to invite much family or many friends for their sake, promising to have a separate gathering with them at a later date if you wish.

Then he pretends to go abroad for his honeymoon so that he can get more time under the guise of 'travelling'.

He actually wants to stay in Konoha. Using your old flat or a friend's empty property whatever. You and him stock the flat before the wedding, pretend to leave and then hide there for three weeks and enjoy the alone time with no one butting in lol.

If you do manage to get him out of the clan before you get married, it's a very different affair.

He still has a very traditional vibe to it, but in more of a peaceful way.

Gentle music, a nice sit down dinner, a slow dance, lighting the hall by candle light in the evening... it's very sweet.

He invites his team, all his friends and your friends and family.

It's a surprisingly big affair, unless you have a very small guest list on your side.

He does have a bar, but it only serves things like beer and wine, no hard spirits.

His wine selection is very impressive, but not unexpected for a wine snob like him XD

The Hyuuga use white as their traditional wedding colour, so Neji uses almost none of it.

He really enjoys this version of his wedding actually. It's one of the most relaxed and happy states you've ever seen him in. Lots of people comment to you about what a good mood Neji is in hehe.

Kiba:

Inuzuka don't have weddings.

They don't see the point in them. If a couple is mated, they are together forever, what's the point in a wedding???

Kakashi:

He can really take or leave marriage.

He's more than happy never doing it. His alpha is his, and being married won't change that.

He's okay getting married if it means something to his alpha though, but he'd want to elope.

He can be convinced to elope abroad though, so you can take a little holiday somewhere nice, get married, then come home together, newly married and refreshed from your holiday hehe.

He does summon his pack to be there for the 'wedding', so you need to find a government building that lets dogs in lmao.

You are also welcome to bring any pets you have to the 'wedding' but having people there will make him clam up and hate it, so no people I'm afraid 🤷🏻‍♀️

Itachi (non-massacre):

He doesn't enjoy his wedding much at all.

Itachi lets his clan run wild and dictate everything because it's less of a fight for him that way, and if he's married by the end of the day, does it even matter what the wedding was like?

He's more interested with the extremely long honeymoon he's been negotiating and fighting for for like six months XD

Because he lets his clan have control, the wedding is very, very traditional.

He wears traditional Uchiha clan clothes and a veil, which he doesn't understand because they also forced him through an hour or hair and make up and no one can even see it??

Uchiha weddings use red as their primary theme colour, so the wedding is very red.

It's also very stuffy and formal with a sit down meal and incredibly long speeches.

It is held very early in the morning, as per Itachi's request because he doesn't want to deal with the elders berating him for his choice or partner and also pushing him to have as many pups as possible all evening.

The sit down meal is more of a lunch than dinner.

Itachi does put a little sweet cart up for the kids though :D He remembers how boring weddings were when he was a child, so he tries to sneak as much pup friendly stuff as he can in. He can't manage much, but he has the sweets cart, some colouring books on each child's seat and little disposable cameras for them to take photos with.

And then the second it's socially acceptable for him to do so (which ends up being about 6 pm, the bonus of an early wedding), Itachi runs away to his honeymoon with his alpha XD

Gaara:

Gaara gets married on a balcony outside of the Kazekage tower, his brother and sister beside him, his alpha's closest family behind them.

A good chunk of the village come to watch and celebrate.

The cheer the crowd gives off when they're officially married is deafening.

Everyone is hyped and the entire village celebrate for like, three days XD

There are street parties and fireworks and the whole shebang.

All Gaara sees is his alpha though. He's so smitten and happy, it doesn't matter to him what's going on outside, he only cares about his alpha.

Does eventually go down to see the street parties and various celebrations, but on the third day when things have calmed down a little XD

Suna loves Gaara so much, they're genuinely over the moon to see him married.

Kankuro:

He just wants to elope, is that really so much to ask?

Doesn't even want to elope anywhere nice, he just does it randomly, like 'wanna go and sign some paperwork and get married in 20 mins?'

Then he orders a fuck ton of takeaway that evening and eats it all with his alpha before calling a sick day the next day XD

Temari beats him up in a spar when it comes out what he did lol.

Kankuro doesn't regret it though.

Haku:

Haku isn't concerned with getting married.

He likes to live with his alpha and pups in the woods, making salves and baking and gardening.

What matters to him is the love him and his alpha show to each other, not a piece of paper proclaiming them as married.

It would also be a hassle to get to a village to get married and organise it and stuff.

He's happy as he is.
