My Reworked Legacy

Been working on this for a long time, but I've finally finished my rework of my SWTOR legacy. Decided it was best to list off my characters one by one with a brief introduction

First up is Artek Sefyr, my Jedi Knight and the Protagonist™ of this legacy. Basically, he's sort of like Clone Wars Anakin, a friendly, affable, and generally noble fellow, who does struggle with his emotions and the alure of the Dark Side. Also a Theron slut.

Next is my consular, Valri Monoya, my Jedi Consular. Definitely a wise, calm, and friendly type of Jedi. Approaches many situation with a "I have no enemies" mindset. Gonna eventually romance Nadia with her

This is my Smuggler Ixosecan, chaotic good pansexual fellow, saving the galaxy and looking good while doing so. Probably gonna go with Koth, I guess?

Baduenda returns! A 'take no shit' butch republic trooper who absolutely hates the empire. Gonna eventually romance Elara.

Gigachad Sith Tyrrnith is also back! This time in a fresh paint of Sith Pureblood Red. Pragmatic Dark side fellow, and romancing Malavai.

Brast'ore'illithyr, or Torei for short. Reformist Sith Inquisitor with a trollish streak. Also romancing Lana.

Kanux Shosam, my bounty hunter. Probably not gonna be a mandalorian, but we'll see. Gonna be romancing Torian with him.

Lastly, we have our Imperial Agent, Audian Vanterius. Basically, he's pro-Empire, anti-sith. Romancing Vector. Would love to tell you guys more, but I gotta go to work because capitalism. I hope to post more about them in the future!

Raspbian/Kano OS in QEMU

Quick notes I wanted to be able to boot the Kano OS in a virtual machine so i could play hack minecraft with the kids and play along with the Kano OS desktop/games.  I was trying to avoid plugging a raspberry pi into an monitor to use and wanted to use it on my local laptop. Well, not so easy. VirtualBox/VMware dont support ARM. However QEMU does. This repo (https://github.com/dhruvvyas90/qemu-rpi-kernel/wiki/Emulating-Jessie-image-with-4.x.xx-kernel) had the recent raspberry pi kernels to use with QEMU. If you follow the steps on that page with regards to mounting the image and editing /etc/ld.so.preload and /etc/fstab I was able to get the image to boot up successfully...slow as hell...but it technically was working. command to boot with vnc:

$ qemu-system-arm -vnc :1 -kernel qemu-rpi-kernel/kernel-qemu-4.4.34-jessie -cpu arm1176 -m 256 -M versatilepb  -append "root=/dev/sda2 rootfstype=ext4 rw"  -hda Kanux-Beta-v3.9.0-Lovelace-jessie-rc-2017-03-23_04-48.img

I was so horribly slow i don't think this is feasible.  I am going to try using libvirt to make it better or just see if i can play hack minecraft another way.  If I get anywhere further with the project i'll post an update. from Raspbian/Kano OS in QEMU

How to reinstall Kano OS with Linux Mint

If your SD card is 8GB of capacity, then you need the image which has the same value in it’s name, f.ex. Kanux-Beta-v2.2.0-jessie-release-8gb.img.gz. This file is smaller than 1GB but when you untar it on you hard disk it will reserve around 8GB on one file with the extension .img.

The Linux Mint distribution has a great little application called USB Image Writer. You can find it at the menu. In case it is not installed, use the Software Manager App to install it by searching for the mintstick application.

With USB Image Writer you can write any disc image file to a USB, like the IMG file, in our situation. You can also burn ISO files from live CDs/DVDs and use them to boot your system.

Using the USB Image Writer you choose the IMG file at the field “Write Image”, and at the field “to” you choose the USB device you mounted with the SD card. The capacity should be close to 8GB. Then you press the “Write” button and wait a few minutes until it finish it’s transfer.

CAUTION: This procedure deletes anything that exists in the SD card, and you can’t retrieve them later.

As a last step, you have to add the SD card back to the Kano device and boot as you should.

There are a few guides in the web that points to use the command dd through your terminal. Unfortunately this didn’t work for me, and I think the above steps are easier for anyone to do.
