　ザンビア北部に位置するNorthern Coffee Corporation Ltd. （NCCL, 現在は国際的コーヒー企業Olamの傘下）が保有するウォッシングステーション（Ngoli、Isanya、Kateshi、Luombe、Nsunzu）のうちIsanyaとNsunzuからのロットです。

　NCCLは ザンビアにおいての高い生産量を誇る有数の生産者です。ウエットミルとドライミルを保有しており、Washed以外にもNatural、Honey、そして近年ではAnaerobic fermentation（嫌気性発酵）を用いた精製にも取り組み、多様な風味を作り出して商品に付加価値をつけることで、収入の向上を目指しています。農園は2016年にはレインフォレストアライアンスの認証を取得し（現在は独自規格にシフトしています）、環境や農家の生活に配慮した持続可能なコーヒー栽培を目指しています。労働環境の改善のため、無料での薬、医療の提供や、労働者の子供のための託児所の設置、また女性の活躍の場の創造を進めています。

　1950年代に、宣教師たちによってコーヒー栽培が紹介され、1970年代から事業化が進んだザンビアコーヒー。一時はアフリカを中心に猛威を振るったCBD（Coffee Berry Disease）の影響で生産量が激減、危機に瀕しましたが、ザンビアコーヒーの高いポテンシャルに期待を寄せる国際的コーヒー企業のOlamがコーヒー事業再生に乗り出し、今回のクロップを生産する地元企業NCCLを買収するなど 内外での取り組みが進み今に至っています。当初は高収量と効率が重要視されていましたが、上述のとおり 足もとでは品質志向の生産や小規模農家の支援が進み、ザンビアコーヒーは着実に成長してきています。

Kansanshi Dynamos have won the first half of the 2019 FAZ Division Zone 2 season with 36 points after a 2-1 win over Zesco Luapula in the Week 15 match played at the weekend. Kansanshi are leading Zone 2 with a three point gap half way into the season. The Solwezi side benefited from Zesco’s own goal to triumph in their latest match at home in Solwezi. GBM pledges K70,000 to marketeers in Kasama

Former United Party for National Development Vice President Geoffrey Mwamba has pledged to empower marketers at Chambeshi and Chikumanino markets in Kasama with K70, 000. Mr Mwamba said the donation is part of his empowerment programs to boost capital for marketers in the district. Speaking when he made the pledges in Kasama, Mr. Mwamba said he would donate K40, 000 to marketers at Chambeshi market while those at Chikumanino market would receive K30,000. He explained that marketers play a cardinal role towards the growth of the economy through the taxes they pay to government through Zambia Revenue Authority. Mr Mwamba said that most traders in markets are women who support families hence the need to empower them with capital to help them expand their businesses. He has since assured the traders that he would give them the money on Wednesday and further urged them to put the money to good use. The Former UPND vice President has since promised to work with people of Kasama in fostering development. And Chambeshi Market Committee Chairperson Fred Chansa has thanked Mr Mwamba for pledging to empower marketers in the district. Mr Chansa has promised to ensure that the money is invested in viable businesses that will help improve the trader’s livelihoods. Meanwhile Mr Mwamba who visited Kateshi area in Kasama has pledged to support school going children in the area.
