A tribute to a friend

Today, the lovely Goosekee, also know as Goose, Kee, Copper, or a number of other things, deactivated. She did that because she felt that Tumblr was not conducive to her mental health, and she needed to focus on other parts of her life.

Her decision to deactivate is sad, but take solace in the fact that she is strong enough to put herself and her needs first. We here in the Hurricane family, LU Tumblr, and tumblr as a whole, thank a great friend, and amazing artist, and an awesome part of this community for her service.

16 (Where do you find inspiration to write): Real life! I write when I'm stress and that's probably why most of what I write is like...super angsty. But I also get inspiration from random unhinged things I see online sometimes!

17 (Tell us a fun fact about your current wip): I started a new story (not whumptober, imagine, I wonder why I'm behind in those...) today after I nearly got hit by a dump truck and it made me go Hold Up That Was Terrifying I Have An Idea

18 (Show us a piece of dialogue you really like): "It was...surreal. It was like some fantastical dream, and we were the heroes of a story that will literally go down in history. And I found myself thinking over and over, ‘how is this my life?’ How did we get to be the people to save the world? And maybe that was a naïve and childish point of view, but somehow, I still felt like a kid back then. Back before I realized that a world that needed saving would always be a little bit broken." (Scrapped the story, but idk, I kinda liked this line)

Lloydskywalkers HEAVILY influenced my writing style and was one of the reasons I started writing fic, even though I never personally interacted with her (aside from one anon ask lol). If you’ve read any of her other works my stuff is so heavily influenced by hers, she is one of my absolute favorite fanfic authors out there.

not rly, i’m quite private abt my writing (bc i’m so new at it) but sometimes i’ll tell my irl friend abt it (who has second hand info from me abt all the fandoms i’m in) who’ll help me a bit w vocalising my ideas.

22. when do you know you’re really in a writing frenzy?

normally when i see 3am on my clock. i am a late night writer at heart and can and will ignore sleepiness to write down ideas :D

that and if i start planning out ideas when i’m bored/waiting somewhere. i’m not a daydreamer in any sense of the word so it was wild to experience that recently

A little bit about me

My name is Zoe and I've been vegan for 12 years after being raised vegetarian. I live in Gold Coast, Australia which has some great vegan restaurants and even a vegan bakery! I love spending my time at the beach or hiking and I'm a huge foodie. I love trying new food as often as I can. I make the best cinnamon rolls and croissants but when it comes to savory food my favorite thing is Pad Kee Mao. I have a rescue dog called Timmy who is my beloved foster fail! I love painting and drawing. I also dream of opening a fully vegan ice cream parlor one day!

Silim! Sorry I wanna ask again hehe, what is the cuneiform letter for the word "beloved" and also the right pronunciation? Because when I looked at Sumerian Lexicon the word is pronounced as "ki-ág" but on Electronic Text Cospus of Sumerian Literature the word is pronounced as "ki aj-ja-ni"

Silim! So both of the examples you have here are (non-standard) transliterations - the ETCSL's in particular is used for search strings only, because there's no single English letter that corresponds to the Sumerian "ng" sound, so they chose the (unrelated) letter "j" to make searching their site easier.

The cuneiform for this word is ���𒉘 or 𒆠𒉘𒂷, pronounced kiang or kianga respectively. The "ng" is pronounced like the sound in English "singing", not with a hard "g" like in "finger". So it'd be approximately "kee-awng(-uh)" (if that's helpful!)

The form you list with -ni on the end includes the possessive suffix corresponding to "his/her", so kiangani 𒆠𒉘𒂷𒉌 would be "his/her beloved". "My beloved" would be kiangangu 𒆠𒉘𒂷𒈬.
