Jaune: And as for you, Cinder Fall, the evil woman who took away the most important people in my life-
Cinder: Shove it up your ass, you pompous crybaby! You got those girls killed, not me!
Jaune: ...
Jaune: (Smiles) Take her to Detroit!
Cinder: (Being dragged away) NO! NO, NOT DETROIT! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Remembering Donald Sutherland 1935-2024
Actor Donald Sutherland has died at 88. Of the 200 acting credits he had on IMDB, he appeared in some of my favorites: The Kentucky Fried Movie (a brief cameo as a waiter), National Lampoon's Animal House (as Prof. Jennings), JFK (as Mr. X - what a scene he has on the park bench!), and the movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer (as Merrick, Buffy's watcher at the time).
Kevin Costner and Sutherland in JFK
Kristy Swanson and Sutherland in Buffy
Other notable performances included Robert Altman's M*A*S*H, Paul Mazursky's Alex in Wonderland, Ordinary People (how he wasn't nominated for an Academy Award for this is beyond me), Backdraft, A Time to Kill, Panic, Cold Mountain, Reign Over Me, and The Hunger Games movies.
He had 5 children including actor Kiefer Sutherland.
The link above is the obit from Indiewire.

How common were Hare Krishna in the 70′s? I notice in 70′s comedies they seem to be everywhere.

Chris: The Kentucky Fried movie is an American 1970’s sketch comedy film, the first film by the Zuckers who made Airplane, some segments are longer than others, it’s a strange product of its time with odd cameos including Bill Bixby, inappropriateness to be sure and dated at times, slightly reminiscent of The Magic Christian, this has been hard to find for years, Watch: When Free but the film will probably be more intoxicated than you.
Richie: It is very dated and not as funny as the movie thinks it is, it is very uneven, there are much better more modern offerings that do the same but better, it’s a curiosity so Watch: When Free.
