Was hoping to end 2022 on a high but it's becoming increasingly likely I have an autoimmune disease. Got some nice kidney inflammation that no one can find the cause for, but I'll have to speak to urology, who currently I'm expecting to speak to in JUNE so that's fun. The kidney hurts constantly and I've started having new symptoms: low grade fever, vomiting, huge pain, such bad fatigue, ect.
Also vomiting and urinating causes more kidney pain and some liver pain which sucks. Was planning to play video games with my flatmate and boyfriend and hold my cat for NYE but seems like I'll be in a&e instead.

The manifestation of kidney stone symptoms can vary significantly and is influenced by factors like stone size, location, and whether they obstruct the urinary tract. Common indications include:
1. Intense Discomfort: A defining feature of kidney stones is severe, piercing pain, often referred to as renal colic. This kidney pain usually begins suddenly and can extend from the lower back to the abdomen and groin. Its intensity can be agonizing, necessitating immediate medical attention.
2. Hematuria: The presence of blood in urine, known as hematuria, is another prevalent sign of kidney stones. Hematuria can be visually evident, causing urine to appear pink, red, or brown, or it may require microscopic urine analysis for detection.
3. Increased Urination: People with kidney stones may experience heightened urges to urinate, often accompanied by pain or discomfort during the process.
4. Nausea and Vomiting: The severity of kidney stone pain can be sufficient to induce nausea and vomiting in some individuals.
5. Fever and Chills: Infections linked to kidney stones can result in fever and chills, although this is more frequently associated with struvite stones.
6. Turbid or Foul-Smelling Urine: Infections stemming from kidney stones may lead to cloudy or malodorous urine.
There are some of the best hospitals in Delhi, such as Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, where you can be diagnosed and treated for kidney stones early.

Determining if someone is a good candidate for a kidney transplant requires a comprehensive evaluation by a healthcare team that specializes in transplantation. Generally, the following factors are taken into consideration:
Overall health: The healthcare team will evaluate your overall health to determine if you are healthy enough to undergo surgery and tolerate the medications needed to prevent rejection.
Kidney function: You will need to have a significant decline in kidney function, usually indicated by a GFR (glomerular filtration rate) of 20 mL/min/1.73m² or less, to be considered for a transplant.
Underlying health conditions: The healthcare team will evaluate any underlying health conditions, such as heart disease or diabetes, that may impact your ability to undergo surgery or affect your long-term transplant success.
Age: Age alone is not a barrier to transplant, but the healthcare team may take into account your age and other medical conditions when evaluating your candidacy.
Compliance: To be considered for a transplant, you must be committed to following the post-transplant regimen, which includes taking medications to prevent rejection, attending follow-up appointments, and making lifestyle changes as necessary.
Support system: It is important to have a strong support system, including family and friends who can help you during the transplant process and throughout your recovery.
If you are interested in a kidney transplant, you should speak with your healthcare provider, who can refer you to a transplant center for evaluation.
There are many hospitals in Mumbai where kidney Transplant is done with great success.

Acute Kidney Failure - Symptoms and causes
Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), previously known as Acute Renal Failure (ARF), is a sudden and often reversible loss of kidney function. It occurs over a short period and can range from mild to severe. AKI should not be confused with chronic kidney disease (CKD), which is a long-term, progressive condition.
Tumblr media
Symptoms of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI):
Decreased Urine Output: One of the primary signs of AKI is a reduction in urine output. This can range from producing significantly less urine to not passing any urine at all.
Fluid Retention: As the kidneys fail to remove excess fluid from the body, individuals with AKI may experience swelling, especially in the legs, ankles, and face.
Fatigue and Weakness: A general feeling of weakness, fatigue, and lethargy is common in AKI.
Shortness of Breath: Accumulation of fluid in the lungs (pulmonary edema) can lead to difficulty breathing.
Confusion: Kidney dysfunction can result in a buildup of waste products in the blood, leading to confusion and altered mental function.
Chest Pain or Pressure: In some cases, AKI can cause chest pain or pressure due to fluid buildup around the heart.
Causes of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI):
AKI can be caused by a variety of factors, including:
Dehydration: Severe dehydration from conditions like diarrhea, vomiting, or excessive sweating can reduce blood flow to the kidneys, leading to AKI.
Infections: Serious infections like sepsis can impair kidney function.
Medications: Certain medications, especially if used inappropriately or in high doses, can be toxic to the kidneys. These include non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), some antibiotics, and contrast dyes used in medical imaging.
Kidney Obstruction: Blockages in the urinary tract, such as kidney stones or an enlarged prostate, can hinder urine flow and cause AKI.
Autoimmune Diseases: Conditions like vasculitis and lupus can lead to inflammation in the kidneys.
Blood Loss: Severe bleeding, such as from an injury or surgery, can reduce blood flow to the kidneys.
Hypotension: A significant drop in blood pressure (hypotension) can impair kidney function.
Heart Failure: Heart conditions that reduce the heart's ability to pump blood effectively can lead to AKI due to reduced blood flow to the kidneys.
Early diagnosis and treatment of the underlying cause are crucial in managing AKI. In some cases, AKI is reversible, but severe cases may require dialysis to support kidney function until they recover.
It's essential to seek medical attention if you experience symptoms of AKI or are at risk due to underlying health conditions or medications. AKI can be a serious medical emergency, and prompt intervention can make a significant difference in outcomes.

I'm scared I'm truly honestly horribly in so much pain cause of this nutcracker the collapsed vein is causing heart pain I can't handle this anymore. the stars in my vision the short random bursts of stabbing pain in my kidney down my leg the bruises that make me throw up cause they hurt so bad the blood infections I've been getting cause the blood can't pump through the kidney to be cleaned so it goes back up the heart, the random pins and needles in my finder tips in my left hand to the pins and needles deep in my stomach the random numb feeling in my feet and sharp pain in my spine feels like my spine is breaking the pressure build up from the blood in the vein it hurts and I am really scared of this pain. My feet, calves swell up they hurt all the time. My heart pain is the most concerning though and I am scared the pressure is getting worse. And I need the love of my life I need a man in my life to let the doctors know that has a woman I matter because a man in a woman's life has more say in her life than the woman who owns her life and lives her life doctors don't care about her though they care about the man next to her more than they care about her with the medical problem to begin with they will look at him with more respect and look at him as if he has the medical problem and care about him more than the woman with the medical problem because doctors are trained to dismiss women. I miss his voice anyways and when this medical problem does take my life I won't miss him anymore I'll be able to be with him and I'll be free from this pain forever. I'll be with the creator and I can haunt all the doctors that have treated me like shit over the years and really put the fear of God into them cause that is what they deserve. I need a fucking miracle to live my life. Anyways this whole nutcracker bullshit is really painful.

1. Assessment prior to Kidney Transplantation:
a. Evaluating Kidney Function: It is crucial to assess the severity of renal dysfunction in order to determine the timing and necessity of the transplantation procedure.
b. Managing Comorbidities: Before surgery, it is important to identify and address any additional medical conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and infections.
c. Screening for Cancer: Detecting and treating malignancies before the transplantation procedure is essential to prevent complications and ensure successful outcomes.
d. Psychological Assessment: Evaluating the mental and emotional well-being of transplant candidates aids in identifying potential issues that may arise.
2. Donor Evaluation:
a. Assessment of Living Donors: A comprehensive evaluation of potential living donors includes medical, surgical, and psychological assessments to ensure suitability and minimize risks.
b. Selection of Deceased Donors: The compatibility between the donor and recipient is determined through human leukocyte antigen (HLA) matching, which is crucial for a successful transplantation.
3. Surgical Approaches:
a. Traditional Nephrectomy: The conventional method involves making a large abdominal incision to remove the kidney from the donor.
b. Laparoscopic Nephrectomy: Minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques have become popular due to their lower morbidity and faster recovery time for living donors.
c. Robot-assisted Nephrectomy: Robotic surgery offers improved precision and dexterity, making it an emerging option for donor nephrectomy.
d. Implantation Techniques: Various methods for vascular anastomosis and ureteral reimplantation are employed during the kidney transplantation procedure.
You can contact some of the best nephrologists in Mumbai to know more about the preparation, procedure, after-care, and approximate cost of kidney transplant in Mumbai before undergoing the procedure.

This is not a joke but men, if you need to see a doctor see a fucking doctor. There is nothing emasculating or shameful about it and you are never less of a man for doing it. Your pride is not worth your health or life. You aren't weak because you didn't tough something out you're strong for tending to the needs of your body. The mindset that it's weak to seek medical care can have deadly consequences
Yes this includes "embarrassing" issues. An object stuck in your ass because you girlbossed too close to the sun trying to have a good time, not only will any person in the ER tell you they've seen it (and probably worse) but people have died from sepsis because they didn't want a doctor to examine them that way or to have to explain their predicament. Not worth dying over
Another person touching you in a medical setting is not sexual in any way shape or form. It implies nothing about your sexuality. Even if your body reacts in a way you don't want it to (it happens, likely won't but if so they don't think you're a perv or some shit). Malpractice of course exists and often a witness will accompany the doctor for such examinations to keep you safe and ensure you are treated professionally.
Strict laws exist to protect your right to privacy. Anything you say to your doctor stays confidential.
If you are trans your doctor should know this as it can be vital to you receiving proper care. And you are again, no less of a man. Dysphoria can be unbearable and acknowledging your anatomy can be awful for some but sometimes it's just something you need to get through for the sake of your physical health. Also trans or cis or in between there's no such thing as a "girl illness/disability". Get checked for whatever's going on
STIs and UTIs and the likes are not shameful. If Planned Parenthood is an available resource in your area you'll probably find that more comfortable and safe than you expected. And if you're a minor they will allow anyone confidential and typically free care (tell them you have no insurance). It's not just a lady clinic that only does abortions, they do everything from trans care to routine exams and birth control (many also provide free condoms). However many doctors specialize in/treat this shit, see it every day, and sometimes the treatment is so simple and can prevent something so much worse.
