Torneskär play testing
September 18th 2024
Hello everyone!
The past couple of days I've been exporting lots, putting together a save file, and trying to hunt down the package files needed for Torneskär (let me know if I missed anything) and the day is here for me to share my custom world with you all.
Torneskär is definitely still a work in progress, but I invite you to try it out with the disclaimer that only the small one of the two main islands can be considered even close to done. This is my first every custom world and some of my first custom content (very simple overrides and conversions, mostly), but I have play tested this world quite a lot myself and haven't come across any issues yet (except wonky routing that I am still working on). I ask that if you run into any issues, to please let me know, so I can trouble shoot and find a solution before I eventually release this world for everyone to download.
More play testing will be necessary later on, but this is just to catch errors at an as early stage as possible.
Let me know if you want any sims3pack files converted to package files, or if anything seems to be missing. Errors, glitches, lots that seem too small to properly navigate, or floating objects. The list goes on. Anything and everything, please send me a message about it.
I'd love to receive constructive criticism, or if you have any ideas or wishes or just stories you felt inspired to tell with your sims, please share. I'm eager to see what you all create with Torneskär. Please tag it #torneskär so i can find it, or tag me directly ^^

The Cannibal is probably one of the most frightening Drakelich to have risen in these mountains and fields. Not only for his appearance, but his lack of distinction between meal and ally. The only exception is his brother, The Weaver. He's merciless, defensive, and an all out powerhouse of strength to make up for his lack of magical fire-breathing abilities that most Drakelich seem to have. The Cannibal is also one of the smartest and most observant of the riot, I've noticed. Yet, only when he chooses to be, like he knows something is not what it seems, but doesn't say a single thing. He's unpredictable in every sense of the word, despite his memory failing him and unexpected moments of disassociation. I fear he may know the truth of my shifting abilities, that I'm not completely dragon...and that I'm quite smitten with the monster.
Written Excerpt from Lexodyn's Journal on the Lich Riot of The Mountain.

Y’all I love TDP’s world building. They live in a world where legends and great natural disasters are real beings that still exist.
Esmeray is the late Dragon Queen’s pet, and he’s been crying for centuries every moonless night. Moonshadow elves have a lullaby about moonless nights.
There is only one Celestial elf left who remembered what the stars looked like.
Leola has a constellation named after her that mortals have long since forgotten the origin of.
Leola’s death created a crater. Aaravos cried for a hundred years, and his tears filled the crater with water until it became a literal sea.
Mythology in Xadia are real historical events that continue to exist into the present day and have multiple beings who remember or even participated in said events.
It’s not like “mythology” genres where mortals are more or less separate from the mortal realm. These psueudo-divine beings are active participants in the world and are treated as people by the mortals despite how easy it could be to pull away (like the Startouched elves)

There's MUCH BIGGER STUFF IN THIS CHAPTER TO REACT TO but it is my duty as tumblr user namisweatheria to say: WEATHERIA MENTION!!!!!! Hoping this will eventually create a cool moment for Nami. OH HEY WAIT the place Robin went to in the timeskip was also mentioned!!!
Well, that being important eventually was always a given. I totally get people wanting the timeskip to have more personal relevance with the strawhats before now, and I feel that, but I also always had faith that it was all gonna come back. Here we goooooooooooo!!!!

ALSO.
I think it’s easy to underestimate the enormity of Beatrice’s decision to try and place the crown on Ava.
It happens in a flash, it’s followed by The Kiss (which is everything). I think some viewers might even have missed she was holding the crown at all.
And so much happens and events spiral so quickly, it’s easy to forget where in the story Beatrice stands at this point.
Beatrice does not know the specifics of Adriel’s plan. At this point in the story, the OCS’ best guess is Adriel will use the portal to bring through unlimited wraith demons.
That’s the stakes for them: complete the mission or face a full on demon apocalypse. It’s literally “do this or the world ends.”
And Beatrice has lost so much. She’s lost Shannon just months ago, she’s lost Mary, Vincent betrayed them, to all appearances they’ve lost Lilith to Adriel for good. More of her closest family have died or abandoned her than not.
What more could the universe take from her?
And then the universe points at Ava and says “that one.”
You know those few months you got to spend away from the thick of battle? The short breath of time where you tasted life? Where you fell in love? Where you let yourself believe that — just maybe — happiness was possible? I want that. I want the person at the center of that, I want the one who gave you that.
Beatrice says no.
Putting the crown on Ava is not a discussion. It’s not a reassessment of the plan. It’s putting her unconscious to get her out. It’s aborting the mission.
The mission to save the world, where failure means wraith demons everywhere and most likely a literal apocalypse, and Beatrice says “No.”
Not if the cost is her.
Because how just is a world that keeps demanding this kind of suffering and sacrifice? There has to be another way for the world, because if there isn’t, she will not save it.
Not at this cost.

actually queer people are allowed to have a positive relationship with their religious upbringing and queer people are also allowed to be religious and participate in organised religion and yes even if that religion is a form of christianity
