In my head, the whole Undertaker thing was over and done with: o!Ciel proved himself once and for all that he was the one knighted by the Queen, and that he was the one performing all watchdog duty.

It also helps that r!Ciel is already dead. To prove one's alive is easier and it proved also that the dead can be manipulated, thus, can be used as an instrument of lies.

The Phantomhive left the spotlight when they departed from London to America to avoid the Great War in 1914. Afterwards, none really knew where they were, or what happened to them. Funtom continue to grow under regional management, but the owner can only be contacted via mail or telegram. Once, taking advantage of the owner not being around, an executive attempted to funnel company's money into his own pocket. A week later, he's found dead in the office. Reason of death: cannot be determined; his body looked to have suffered no harm. Frozen on his face was an expression of utter terror. On his desk was one single Funtom lollipop.

The Reapers was around when Charlottes was born. The whole dispatch, including Grell, William, Ronald (but not Max though, he hadn't died yet) perched outside the manor on tree branches like vulture, ready to pounce. None had expected Ciel Phantomhive to survive; not even Sebastian. A half-blood child between human and demon had never before existed; her warring natures too might yet not survive the outside world. And seeing as demons drain human life forces, it might very well be that the halfling would kill her mother the moment she was no longer in need of a host body.

But then Sebastian emerged from the manor, in his human form but it looked quite off, beastly even if you looked close enough, followed by his dark tendrils... and a baby girl in his arms.

He showed her off to the prowling death gods:

Will and the Demon exchanged a long look. In the end, Will reluctantly ordered the dispatch to call the mission off. One reaper protested:

“But sir…” “There’s nothing we can do now, or do you fancy being snuffed out of existence by Collapsar?” He spared the speaker a look.

When they all left, Ronald get close and whistled upon seeing the baby, and said: "You sure that adorable babes came from your gene, pop?". And Grell just :)) sighed exasperatedly like when you found out your kpop idol bias is getting married.

I also think the dynamic between the Phantomhive-Michaelis and the Reapers would be like:

Will on a mission in the midst of London > feeling something tugged at his leg > Look down and see Charlotte being tearful mouth quivering: "I lost my papa and dada, Mister. You're their friends right? You're around all the time" > Will reluctantly returned the demon child to her demon parents 🤣

So yes, when they met again in 2020s, there there isn't a lot of animosity left; just a sort of playful annoyance (?)

As I have said before, Max initially hated this grown "Lottie" because of his prejudice against demon and his perception that she deceived him somehow. They had an enemies to lovers arc. The moment it started to shift more toward "lover", Sebastian was horrified. The "Sebas-chan" still makes him shiver even to this day 🤣 meanwhile, Grell is just behind Max giving him (terrible) date gifts ideal and trying to match make.

Darren the scrawny white man walked onto the stage.

The tagline was a bit weird but money is money. But now... he was at a loss.

The final physical change for now was Darren's becoming a bit tanner. Memories of being on American soil all Darren's life were replaced with memories of korean city skylines and immigrating at age 20. Despite it all he's somehow pretty good with english but still stumbles from time to time. Darren's mom was always enamored with american names so she named his son with one.

"Ah, right. So sorry! Don't know what came over me!" A korean accent quickly overtook Darren's former voice like it always been there.

"No worries no worries! Now you said your name was Darren correct? That's not a very korean name is it? Why did your parents choose it?" The director gave a curious smirk.

Chul's mother never had a knack for american culture. Instead it was just pure coincidence that he would share the name of famous South Korean Bodybuilder Hwang Chul Soon. Chul felt like he never deserved the name and yet he still had it.

"Apologies. I slipped up again... yes... my name is 황철순... But can we get to the dancing now? You've been asking a lot of questions-"

"It's all part of our process for a perfect korean dancer, Chul! Just a bit more now!" The director smiled

"Okay... what else do you want from me?"

"I was born and raised there so I would say it's about as perfect as it can be..."

The star of his upper half began to show itself as his flat rack became massive chunks of meat that could rival the most gifted of women. Chul got a bit taller as his swishy pants rode up exposing the thicker legs that he just obtained. A smirk overcame Chul as his hairstyle become much more suave and he threw his lousy shirt side exposing his new muscle body and charisma.

"알아차리셨다니 다행입니다! 이제 충분히 말하고 더 춤추세요!" (So glad you noticed! Now enough talking and more DANCING!) Chul's new charisma immediately showed itself as Chul began to show his moves.

Hey, um, I'm not sure if you'll answer this but I want to ask for you opinion. I don't know if you've seen the news that like 4 artists have cut contact with scooter and he's no longer their manager? I'm not even sure if it's really real or not but even if it's fake news it just makes me anxious. First of all it's really scary how everyone keeps dropping him... and so suddenly? He either did something really fucked up or he's retiring or something which I do not think. I literally don't know anything about him aside from the bad things he did to artists but he doesn't seem like he wants to retire now... Which brings me to my second concern which is Jungkook and the tannies. I'm gonna be honest, Seven is good but I just couldn't fully enjoy this era knowing that he had a part in it. And that might be not fair to Jungkook or I need to not think like that but I do, I'm sorry. And I'm just really weirded out right now because I don't want him to have a bigger control over Jungkook or any of the other tannies. I hate that he's in hybe at all, I hate that he's working with Jungkook, I hate that it seems like he will be a big part of his album as well. I just wish they don't do anything with him. Yes, anon, you are being paranoid. There are some things to remember:

The agency that Jungkook, the other members and BTS belong to is BigHit. Bighit is a private agency and separate from HYBE although technically it belongs to HYBE. As it is a private agency, hybe has no power over bighit and its artists, which includes all hybe subsidiaries including hybe america to which Scooter is linked. BigHit has full control of its artists.

Scooter was closely involved in Seven because he is Andrew Watt's manager, the producer of the song. Obviously, he saw the opportunity for clout because it was Jungkook but he has no power over Jungkook. He has no decision-making power, no management power etc., over Jungkook or BTS. Yes, he is part of HYBE America and Jungkook is part of HYBE technically but they are two different things. So there is no need to worry.

If Jungkook or any other member or the group in general "works" with Scooter it is because they are most likely working with one of the artists he represents and that way they can't avoid it. Scooter has been seen with Bang PD because they are representing HYBE and HYBE America, nothing else. As long as the guys are under BigHit, Scooter can't touch them unless they allow it.

he glows as a husband! that's a big dream of his probably and he definitely wants children, at least 2. he is a jealous partner, because he thinks his environment has too many good looking and nice dudes, so he wants to protect his person from possible different opportunities. he looks like a gentleman, treating this person like they're his entire world, he would flirt and treat them even after a long time, he would never fall out of love and just never let things fall in routine. he'd be playful and make them feel like they're 2 children living inside a mattress fortress they built. he'd do anything for them, make their dreams come true no matter how difficult they may look. like I said, he probably wants to be the main provider and gift giving seems to be an important love language of his, he'd give them all this expensive stuff just because he thinks they'd look nice and they deserve the best, I guess it's about quality over quantity for him, but he definitely wants quantity too. at the point they get married, he'd rather stay home with his family than going out to party and he'd love to do just that, laugh his future spouse and his future children seems like one of his biggest dreams.

Super Show 9 in Latin America 2023

Super Junior is a group with a 17-year career in the kpop industry, an industry where exceeding 7 years of career was a utopia and continuing to have fans after 30 years was impossible. Where the loss of members was a decline for the group's image and having a partner was synonymous with lost sales, where compulsory military service was a persistent fear of being forgotten, where accidents and infighting could tear the group apart and break a dream that looked promising. But look at them now, after overcoming all those adversities and a pandemic, they were reunited with the fans they first met in 2013 (when kpop was laying its groundwork for the Hallyu Wave and when saying you liked kpop was synonymous with mockery) filling stadiums of up to 15 thousand people on a different continent. Super Junior bet on a part of the world that at the time was ignored for many years in the music industry and that now, after 10 years of giving them their love, has become their second home and safe space. Unpopular opinion but I think it’s mad weird that they have this dungeon room that they put members in on their birthday as they awkwardly look to staff everytime they say something on the outskirts of sus to avoid getting in trouble. It almost feels like someone being held hostage and forced to record a video telling the public they’re ok while glancing at the killer hoping they don’t fuck up.

I know that’s not the actual situation but damn the kpop machine blows me when they micromanage the little bit of time we get to spend with the artist on a livestream.

And no, don’t say they’re modding because they can easily mod the chat from another space in the building. It’s the awkward glances off screen the artist makes to be sure what they’re doing is considered appropriate that make ME, the viewer, uncomfortable.

But kpop is a machine that knows what works and they do it. And the resulting “products” are artists just tryna make it. With how prejudiced and disgusting the music industry is, a lot of Korean artists need the machine in order to make their dreams come true. If they didn’t have a machine to crank out pre-made superstars, a lot of those folx would get lost in the shuffle and never touch a thread of their dreams.

Ask yourself, how many artists can you name that are mainstream and Asian and non kpop? That made it without a machine to boost them into a prepared audience?

Because I can’t name one. And no, the ones that left kpop and are mainstream now don’t count.

I mean from the ground up on their own.

Prejudice, especially in America makes it near impossible.

So like I get it, you gotta get the bag by any means but damn, shit is disheartening when you get old enough (and me personally, experienced enough in the industry) to realize how it works.

I'm conflicted because on the one hand, jungkook is a grown ass educated man, so like io want to believe he was heavily involved in such decisions and made each one with careful consideration, but on the other hand scooter is an exploitative piece of shit (literally all his biggest artists, including JB who jungkook seems to really look up to) have mysteriously left him this year and all announced within hours apart. This doesn't even go into what that man did to TS, and now he has his hands all over JK's entire solo debut, singles and album alike?

and this whole partnership is Bang PD's fucking idea to prioritise the US and and pop songs?

Are they making Jungkook the face of this new strategy (which is purely for business reasons and not at all for art/music) while the man gives all the credit to a white dude?

and no one is concerned by Jungkook's solo career being placed in the hands of a guy like Scooter?

I don't know how to address your concerns because I'm not sure I fully understand them. I don't know much about SB, but I remember seeing he stopped being JB, Ariana's, etc. manager to focus on Hybe America, but was still involved in their careers in another way? I'm not sure it's true that they all left him. I also read fans say his days are counted and that all he has is Hybe America now.

I don't know. From JK's perspective, this album is a one-off thing. It's a chance for him to do the kind of music he's only enjoyed and probably dreamed of making, to live out his pop boy fantasies, to try different genres outside of kpop. It's his chance to show he's the golden maknae everyone says he is, but also to show that he's not just a maknae. I doubt Jungkook is thinking of a big solo career separate from BTS. Like he said recently, chapter 2 is all about BTS and their future together.

I don't think what SB wants or hopes to achieve with Jungkook is any of his concern. He could be doing a lot more US promo or throwing big concerts in the US, but he just did a few radio shows and performances in the US, performed on Music Bank and Inkigayo and is throwing a small concert in SK. I'm not sure he's being used or manipulated, not in the sense that we can be sure he's actually doing something or feeling pressured to do stuff he doesn't want. Tbh, we have no way of knowing. Maybe he's "using" SB too, since he loved Seven so much and wanted more songs like Seven. He's also said he doesn't care about writing the lyrics or songs himself, though I know in the future he'll want to prove his songwriting skills, just like right now he's trying to prove his performing and leading artist abilities. This album is his first challenge and he's focusing on trying different things outside kpop and seeing how far he can go on his own. His second challenge might be to do an album from scratch himself.

I mean, the reality is that BTS have always been pawns. They're Hybe's cash cow, occasional puppets to the SK government, used by the US for clout, etc. That is their reality and at this point I think they're used to navigating it, taking what they need and ignoring everything else, only looking foward. That's the BTS wat.

I don't want to doompost about SB. I don't like his involvement because I wanted Jungkook to be more involved in Golden, and for the record to tell his story which doesn't seem to be the case, and because I don't trust that man's taste. I wasn't particularly worried about JK being used. I'm trusting JK, but maybe I'm being naive. Maybe the things he's been saying are what he's been led to believe and he actually has a lot of doubts underneath. I don't know... I'll assume the best since I trust JK (though sadly not his taste lately). But I understand your skepticism and disappointment. Literally no one likes SB and Jungkook is joining forces with him...

My fault, but what about the thread? Can you share thoughts? I don't know many k-pop fans personally so I want to know, be prepared for their joining. On here I only see gifs and fanfics.

A few things about me that are fair to know to judge my opinions. I'm a second gen fan, I began to listen to kpop in 2009, actually a fan in 2010. My first favorite band was DBSK/JYJ and was part of the whole “activism” to support JYJ in their way out of SM. Started in tumblr as an exo fan and my last fandom where I was active was loona in their golden days (2016-2018). To be honest I’m not active in fandom since 2018/19. I keep listening to kpop but I don’t keep up with new bands or whatever is going on in the kpop world. But it is actually pretty easy to assume this twitter user is talking about BTS and particularly RP. 

I can’t answer everything she is saying because it has been some years since i don’t keep up with what is going on there. However, I can confirm that the army acts like BTS invented kpop lol. They love to speak about how they made kpop popular overseas when there was an actually large fandom base in europe, usa and latin america before they even debuted. Actually some bands like JYJ did quite successful concerts at that time in latin america. Even the expansion to Japan is something that Boa and DBSK did. Of course, BTS is a massive success, but they didn’t happen in the nothing, there was a whole process and context. I can confirm this thing about how they glorify their artist as the only true artist and the others idols are just fakers. But to be fair, that is something that vips (big bang fandom) did before. Well, the army is large so everything will be more annoying with them for a matter of numbers. 

Army does act like they found the final gem, but it is not fair to say that only them are toxic with other artists because fanwars are old as kpop. I believe it is more a generational attitude or even an attitude with the past. I hear many young fans from different fandoms talking about a past where fanwars didn’t exist when such a thing never happened. We can recall fanwars from second gen groups with events like “black oceans” during festivals. 

I do agree, in theoretical terms, that each phenomenon has their own features and with BTS there must be some specific issues. I’m just not that invested or updated to talk about this. However, in my opinion there are some inherent issues with the phenomenon of being a “fan” that can’t be avoided no matter the fandom. The idealization of the artist, the feeling of belonging and loyalty, are all problematic. We surely need to build ways to interact with artists less toxic. But for the music industry (no matter how annoying it may be for artists who have obsessed fans) they gain more money from people who are willing to give everything to their artist. This is also a problem of capitalism and consumer culture. 

About twitter as a platform for fandom organization. Well in the old days 2011-2014, facebook and tumblr were also a big part of “spaces” for fandoms. Tumblr went down, facebook lost relevance yet fandom groups were still working until 2019 (when i last checked lol). Twitter has a specific feature for fans actions like TT, but fandoms won’t fall because the app falls, they are already important on tik tok and IG. With apps it’s a matter of adaptation, a big problem would be that twitter was still at its best but kpop fandom became irrelevant and can’t pull a TT. Why? because it is a battle to push your consumptions, make them relevant and gain space. Promotion helps to succeed and success sustains your cultural consumption. There will be more as long as they sell. Nevertheless, it is fair to say there are alot of “identity” issues in why kpop fandoms promote their artists. 

What is actually in danger with twitter is the capacity of collective actions in social websites. Other websites have tags and trendings but can’t pull like twitter does. Regarding kpop fandoms, in my opinion twitter was a space of action but not the source of organization. Fandoms tend to agree with their actions in closed groups (like facebook at the time) and go to twitter with a tag and schedule that was already decided somewhere else. 

In my opinion, being active in a fandom will consume too much of your personal time and will keep you frustrated because there is always some drama and fans are super annoying. However, you can still enjoy kpop from “outside”. IG is a good option, you find images and videos but don’t come across with the drama (not that much). Tumblr has very little these days but still can enjoy some gifs. I don’t have tik tok so I can’t talk about it. I’m not sure how is discord, but sound like the last place to be regarding fandoms (like forums)

sunday - monday

our friend will be leaving tomorrow.

i will be sad to see him leave, it's weird what having someone sleep on your couch can do, i suppose cooking and living with him, talking to him a lot, going out tonight after he got back from san bernadino, idk, it's made me very warm to him. he is a really kind person, he reminds me of a now dead friend a little, but only a little i think. maybe i am just overly sentimental in that way right now, either way, i will miss him, there's something very nice about having him around, i'm glad he's been crashing here instead of staying at some hostel which would make him feel, like, freaked out probably, and he couldn't be himself as much maybe. a sad prospect.

today was kind of a lot, i feel a lot better today but definitely not fully healed, waiting for that, i hope soon i don't have anything wrong with me, we went to like one of the better burger places in vegas, this place called fuku burger, it has a chicken katsu sandwich i really like...and they have yummy fries. we hung out there a while, they had this insane like, tik-tok compilation tv channel on, as well as a video of a guy playing all of mw2 and a guy playing super mario world.

he liked it, he told us their like, messy fries option was kind of like poutine, which was interesting, i never eat fries like that cuz it's just tooooo muchhhh but that's funny to hear. we talked about how insane/horrifying that tik tok compilation tv channel was, like a super psycho america's funniest home videos type thing, just so bizarre.

after this we went to a place a friend works, also in chinatown, she was just getting off work so we said hi, talked to her for a bit, which was nice, happy to see her, and then we saw one of her co-workers go up and stuff, this weird guy who makes up a lot of insane lies, currently he says he's a ghostwriter for rappers, before he said he was signed to def-jam and that he was almost a kpop star. but the kpop thing is interesting, it got into a sad thing honestly cuz while talking to him he mentioned how he was doing that whole thing, he said that during the try-outs he was given a chemical that made his skin super nice, in his words "super white", which is like, kind of a horrific thing i've noticed w/ asian beauty standards, once in chicago, in a restaurant in their chinatown this girl was talking to her friends about how she could actually get her skin way whiter than it already was, and it's just very depressing, one hopes these beauty standards will disappear one day but it feels like they might not, especially as the dominant popular images of asian people remain what they are, kpop, super fair skinned people being beautiful, you know. anyway he went on about that because really all i knew about him is that he tells bizarre lies, so we came up with a bit that was like, our out of town friend telling the guy he's a guy managing an idol group, and the guy, i can't tell if he saw through it really, but it made him open up kinda, he started talking about how he sang and how he likes karaoke, he used to manage a karaoke place but the issue was that he had to get drunk with the people there, as it would make his tips huge, and he would come home drunk every night, he lost all his muscles he said, got kind of miserable, worked too late, and at this place he's at now works fucked up shifts too where people want him to drink too, so he's still drinking, and the habit dies hard, you know, and all this stuff about how he's just sad now, doing mushrooms a lot, getting fucked up, trying to quit to get away from that, like quit that job, you know. i really feel bad for him. he always just struck me as odd, i feel like an asshole a bit but he didn't seem upset at us, honestly i really like him now, or like, i want the world to be better for him, i want better for him, i want better for a lot of people, it's really depressing how you can be reminded of how horrible everything is for everyone. i am constantly wanting everyone to be saved, i mean, really, a lot of people deserve it, is maybe the roughest thing. a lot of intense and strange pains, i see this in our out of town friend too, he's got rough stuff going on at home, he's a sweet guy, his parents are assholes. the world's too much pain...

anyway, sorry to be a downer, it's just on my mind. i want people to not be miserable, but i guess there is like no choice. i want to cry a river. it doesn't feel stupid to cry a river, infinite mourning feels like all that's available to me, i am maybe just a super useless kind of person.

when we left, around leaving i suppose, he started asking us what kinda music we like, my gf did the music nerd 'oh we listen to like everything' and then he said he liked death metal stuff, he said 'the kinda stuff where it's like, don't give me the aux', and our friend said 'i'd give you the aux man. most people let you look at it, i'm giving it to you' and he said he really appreciated it. i guess i'm sheltered for this, but it really felt like meaningful or something. i hope it was i guess.

it's already pretty late so maybe today i won't really get to work on cover art... sad, but i have some ideas. or beyond ideas honestly, plans for stuff to put into the current illustration. after this one's done, there's gonna be like 2 more about, they should be less effort,,

another night where i must gargle salt water again. i'm getting kind of good. and i'm sure when i get up, i'll do it again, again, again. maybe for the rest of time. not that long but it feels like it could be forever. i'm only ever sure the bad things will be forever. i won't comment on the good things. i let them grace me for as long as i can allow it. i say too much, it feels like i'll destroy it...
