Learning : "Turn pages, turn ideas into reality"
Discover your own Learning Style!
What's your learning style here?
1. Auditory Learning - A learning style through listening to someone and processing that idea.
2. Visual Learning - A learning style that is using images, figures, diagrams, and videos to understand the idea they are pertaining to.
3. Interpersonal Learning - A learning style with group of people to share a lot of information and combine it as one.
4. Intrapersonal Learning - It is a learning style that gives you solitude to give yourself time to learn things alone.
5. Verbal Learning - A learning style that uses a voice to communicate your ideas that is very efficient and effective for everyone.
Choose what describes yourself above!
My least preferred learning style: Kinesthetic
Unlike other people, I don't like too much movement when studying. In fact, it distracts me to stay focused and attentive in doing my work.
Learning with my partner:
It's actually very effective that I have someone to share my ideas and information with. I feel heard and seen with someone that I'm close with and have the same learning style.

A good structure is something you can trust.
It relieves you from the burden of remembering and keeping track of everything. If you can trust the system, you can let go of the attempt to hold everything together in your head and you can start focusing on what is important: The content, the argument and the ideas. By breaking down the amorphous task of “writing a paper” into small and clearly separated tasks, you can focus on one thing at a time, complete each in one go and move on to the next one . A good structure enables flow, the state in which you get so completely immersed in your work that you lose track of time and can just keep on going as the work becomes effortless (Csikszentmihalyi, 1975). Something like that does not happen by chance.

'Habits of Mind' in the context of Physical Education: #1 Persisting.
I have been working with Habits of Mind since I started studying it in 2018. At first, I struggled to put the ‘HoM’ concepts into practice in the context of Physical Education, but little by little, I became familiar with the expressions and philosophy of the theme.I chose ‘Persisting’ because it is obvious when working with PE. Every class, every day, I mention the word persist and the…

multitasking, memory, attention
image from BoxBunny_63 on pinterest REFERENCED MATERIAL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiANn5PZ4BI
So for my university strategies class, there's a unit on memory and attention. It is the biggest one because memory is (obviously...!) imperative to learning and how we absorb and deal with that information.
Our brains are really sensitive to information, and also, sensitive to attention. On the topic of attention, actually, it's also sensitive to any internal (in the brain, your thoughts, basically) and external (environmental) stimuli. It's so sensitive that we just do it automatically. I've began to notice it wavering tendencies when I'm not focused on the task I want to complete.
I'll be looking at the lecture, and then all of a sudden, my brain's thinking about a tarot reading or the time, and then I get pretty. Multitasking. We've all done that before. You know, we play some music when we want to get some notes taken down or simply writing an assignment. But actually, this harms your attention span more than it does when you're fully focused on one thing. Our brains are processing and reasoning so many factors at once that each train of thought gets disrupted.
However, doing things with only one source of stimuli may be boring and flat. Us as humans like to search out novel experiences.
One tip from the referenced video:
multitask when the tasks require low brain power - you know. Cleaning your room, packing your bag, brushing your hair - sure. Go for it.
do NOT multitask when the task requires you to produce high-quality content, such as an assignment, studying, or writing an important email.

Language plays an essential role in cognitive development, especially in young children. Research shows that early exposure to language-rich environments can significantly enhance cognitive abilities. Bilingual education in Virginia is a prime example of how incorporating multiple languages into a child’s learning experience supports brain development.

Nurturing independence is a crucial part of their development, helping them build confidence and essential life skills. At a child care in Palo Alto, California, children are given opportunities to make choices, problem-solve, and take on responsibilities in a supportive environment. These experiences allow them to develop a sense of autonomy, which is key to shaping independent thinkers.
