while i understand the impulse to play fantine as angry (she does have every reason to be) i tend to think angry fantines during ‘i dreamed a dream’ cheapen the story and miss hugo’s point, and thereby make fantine an out-of-character ‘girl boss’ a la terrible YA greek myth retellings.
a great part of her tragedy is that it is completely undeserved. she has a heart of gold and is purely, invariably good. her soul is never corrupted. she is emblematic of virtue. and anger (while often understandable) is not a virtue.
i also think it’s lazy acting. anger is the easiest emotion to play because it’s all bluster, and often covers something realer and more vulnerable. anger, like thyme, needs be applied with a very light touch. the worst fantine i ever saw snarled her way through i dreamed a dream.

"... Fine. If you want to see a monster so bad..."
"... I'll show you what a real monster looks like."
this was mostly me wanting to share the design for my Deltarune Monsterswap AU's monster Kris as they appear in the Dark World, but it also doubles as a little something else: a glimpse into one possible Weird Route. the Kris of this AU isn't bound to Player choice... and thus far less defenseless against their whims.
the question is: what does it take to make a good dog bite?

Okay, so. Take a man and stretch him out to absolutely ridiculous proportions. Like 'what does anyone need that much arm for what the fuck' kind of proportions. Now give him the smallest instrument imaginable. Got it? Okay, great. Now he's going to play a bluegrass cover of Brittney Spears' Toxic.
Enjoy.

I find this highly interesting:
She hunkered down in the dark against a damp stone wall and listened for the pursuit, but the only sound was the beating of her own heart and a distant drip of water. Quiet as a shadow, she told herself. She wondered where she was. When they had first come to King's Landing, she used to have bad dreams about getting lost in the castle. Father said the Red Keep was smaller than Winterfell, but in her dreams it had been immense, an endless stone maze with walls that seemed to shift and change behind her. She would find herself wandering down gloomy halls past faded tapestries, descending endless circular stairs, darting through courtyards or over bridges, her shouts echoing unanswered. In some of the rooms the red stone walls would seem to drip blood, and nowhere could she find a window. Sometimes she would hear her father's voice, but always from a long way off, and no matter how hard she ran after it, it would grow fainter and fainter, until it faded to nothing and Arya was alone in the dark. - Arya III AGOT
Evenfall found them still trudging toward the Green Fork and Lord Frey's twin castles. I am almost there, Arya thought. She knew she ought to be excited, but her belly was all knotted up tight. Maybe that was just the fever she'd been fighting, but maybe not. Last night she'd had a bad dream, a terrible dream. She couldn't remember what she'd dreamed of now, but the feeling had lingered all day. If anything, it had only gotten stronger. Fear cuts deeper than swords. She had to be strong now, the way her father told her. There was nothing between her and her mother but a castle gate, a river, and an army . . . but it was Robb's army, so there was no real danger there. Was there? - Arya X ASOS
This could definitely be just a tactic of foreshadowing, but I do find it interesting how it’s Arya we see who seems to be having stressful dreams full of foreboding and symbolism right before the deaths of Ned and Catelyn and Robb. Makes me wonder if Arya’s blood is even more magical (via the Warg King’s daughters) than we think.

Bagman is the best BCS episode to me by far. LOVE me a good tv episode where two guy's (gender neutral) struggle through a wilderness they are woefully unprepared for (where the wilderness also perhaps reflects an internal struggle through the wilderness of the self or Whatever??!!?!!) and the guys involved (for better or worse) learn more about each other in the process. AND he drinks his own piss

Okay but All Might’s development from only equating his worth to being the Symbol of Peace/Number One Hero and not really caring about his own death to later him dealing with what he saw as his sole purpose in life being gone and learning how to want to live for himself and for more than just being a hero MAKES ME SO EMOTIONAL I COULD IMPLODE
