I'm not doing much today - just doing some content creation things for work! Writing captions for social media stuff can be fun but also kind of exhausting ahfbafskskhvhks. I've got a work meeting later today, and then after that, probably some more copywriting, and then maybe working on some fic! I really hope to get that wip I posted yesterday finished up and posted bc I think it's a very fun concept
How are you, lovebird/what are you up to??? If you don't mind me asking ofc :]c

My Paigey
Pairing: Paige Bueckers x Reader
Fandom: Women’s College Basketball / WNBA (UConn, Dallas Wings)
Summary: bringing Paige home for Easter, where our (my) five-year-old niece Aria quickly claims Paige as her own(once again)—and refuses to let go.
🏷️: @paigeshirleytemple , @unknowngirlypop , @yailtsv , @nicebellee, @sitawita , @thatonesuschix , @vamptizm , @elalfywhore , @starfulani , @authentic-girl03 , @paxaz535 , @azziswrld , @jadasogay , @paigeluvvr, @melpthatsme , @lessi-lover , @courtsidewithlani , @imnotkaizer , @italyyy , @lightsgore , @private-but-not-a-secret , @aubreygriffin , @issilovesherself , @graceeeeeesblog
Easter back home always meant chaos: pastel dresses, chocolate bunnies, church pews packed tighter than my carry-on suitcase, and Aria—my five-year-old niece who had enough sass and charm to run the whole family if we let her.
This year, though, she had a partner-in-crime.
“Are we almost there?” Paige’s voice curled softly in my ear, her hand resting on my thigh as I drove down the familiar two-lane road to my parents’ house.
“Two more turns,” I said, glancing over with a grin. “Excited?”
She smiled, brushing her long hair behind her ear. “Yeah. Nervous too. Your mom likes me, right?”
“She already follows you on Instagram and sends me screenshots when you post anything remotely cute.”
“That’s almost everything I post.” She smirked, the cocky confidence slipping in—my favorite look on her.
I parked the car and we hadn’t even finished getting our bags out before the screen door slammed open.
“YOU’RE HERE!”
A blur of curls and bunny socks came flying off the porch and slammed into my legs. “Hi Aria—!”
“No! I wanna hug Paigey first!”
I watched, mock-offended, as Aria let go of me like yesterday’s news and threw her tiny arms around Paige’s waist, looking up at her with sparkling brown eyes.
Paige crouched down, giggling. “Hey, Jellybean. Missed you too.”
“Are you staying forever this time?” Aria asked seriously, and I saw my mom chuckle behind the screen door.
Paige glanced at me, then back at her. “I’m here all Easter weekend. That cool?”
Aria nodded, then clutched Paige’s hand like she was some magical Disney princess who’d just stepped off a float.
That set the tone for the rest of the weekend.
Aria insisted on riding to church in Paige’s lap—obviously not allowed—so we compromised. She sat next to Paige, then climbed into her lap halfway through the opening hymn, arms tucked around Paige’s waist like she was shielding her from rogue hymnal books.
I leaned in, whispering, “You good over there, P?”
Paige smiled down at Aria, whose head now rested on her shoulder. “I think I’ve been claimed, for marriage and it’s not to you.”
“I see that.”
Aria looked up. “I told the Easter Bunny to give Paigey the biggest basket.”
Paige laughed quietly. “Wow, thank you. That’s very generous.”
“I didn’t get you chocolate ‘cause Mommy says I’m not allowed sugar before naps. But you can have my yellow jellybeans.”
“Those are your favorites,” Paige said softly.
Aria shrugged like a martyr. “You’re my favorite now.”
I gasped dramatically. “Wow. I’m right here.”
“You still smell like car air-freshener.”
Getting Aria down for her nap was usually an ordeal involving at least two parents, one sippy cup, and a very specific Spotify playlist of ocean waves and Moana ballads.
Today? She snuggled into Paige’s arms on the couch while the adults cleared up post-church snacks and deviled eggs. Her eyes drooped, her thumb popped into her mouth, and Paige just rocked her gently with one arm while sipping sweet tea with the other.
“She’s out,” Paige whispered to me proudly.
“You’re literally a miracle worker.”
“She called me her ‘Paigey’ again.”
“You are her Paigey,” I teased. “Face it. You’re hers now.”
Easter Egg Hunt – Later
As soon as Aria woke up, her first word was, “Paigey?”
Paige appeared in the doorway with her sneakers on and a pink hoodie. “Ready to hunt some eggs?”
Aria lit up. “YES. But only if you help me.”
She refused to let Paige leave her side during the entire backyard Easter egg hunt. Even when she spotted a plastic egg half-hidden behind the tulips, she waited for Paige to walk with her to go get it.
“I got the sparkle egg,” she announced proudly, then looked at Paige. “You get to open it.”
“I feel honored.”
“It’s just jellybeans,” Aria said, then paused. “You want the yellow ones.”
“I do.”
After the hunt, Paige lifted her onto her hip like it was second nature, balancing Aria with one arm while helping my mom clean up candy wrappers with the other. I just stood there watching her like an idiot.
“You’re down bad,” my brother whispered, nudging me.
“She’s got my niece under a spell.”
He smirked. “So do you. Just not the same kind.”
The next morning, Paige and I were saying our see you laters and panicking up so we could head back home, and everything was going smoothly.
However, except I could hear Aria’s dramatic wails before I even zipped up my suitcase.
“NOOOOOOOO.”
I walked out to the living room and found her gripping Paige’s leg like a lifeline, face scrunched, little cheeks tear-streaked.
“She said she has to go back to Netticut,” Aria sniffled. “But she’s mine.”
Paige bent down gently. “I am yours. I just have to pack my stuff that’s at the me and auntie Y/n’s place so I can go play basketball with the big girls, remember?”
“No!” Aria shook her head violently. “I wanna come too. Please. I’ll be good. I’ll pack jellybeans.”
I looked at Paige.
She looked at me.
I nodded. “Screw it. We’re taking her.”
We had set Aria up on the pull-out couch in our guest room, with her favorite pillow from home and a giant stuffed bunny Paige won her at a carnival last summer.
She FaceTimed her mom the first night.
“Hi Mommy. I’m good. Paigey made me waffles. Okay, bye.”
And hung up.
That was the new routine.
FaceTime in the morning: “Hi Mommy, I brushed my teeth! Paigey let me use her sparkly toothpaste! Okay bye.”
FaceTime before bed: “Paigey read me three books. And I had mac and cheese. Okay, night!”
She barely remembered we were supposed to be dropping her back off at home after one weekend.
“Okay, Jellybean” Paige said, lifting Aria into the air while I folded her last pair of UConn sweatpants. “Want to help me put this in the box?”
Aria dropped the shirt in and looked around. “Your room is empty.”
“I know. I’m moving to Dallas soon, remember?”
“Do I get to come to Dallas?”
I laughed. “You’d love Texas. Big parks. Lots of bunnies. Maybe Paigey can find you some yellow jellybeans there too.”
Paige looked at me over Aria’s head. “We’re seriously taking her to Texas, aren’t we?”
“Don’t tempt me.”
Aria crawled into one of Paige’s empty storage bins. “I fit in here.”
“You do,” Paige said, grinning. “You ready to move in with Auntie Paige and Y/N?”
“I been ready.”
“She’s gonna forget she has parents,” my sister joked over FaceTime as Aria ran around in the background in Paige’s oversized practice jersey.
“She has parents,” I said. “She just… prefers her Paigey.”
Paige walked by, sipping a smoothie. “Is it weird that I kinda love it?”
My sister smiled. “It’s not weird. It’s a little terrifying, but also adorable. You guys are her favorite people in the world.”
“Paigey is my best friend,” Aria said, running up to the phone.
“And who am I?” I asked, teasing.
“My other best friend. But Paigey’s my favorite-favorite.”
Paige just shot me a smug look.
We ended up flying Aria home two days before Paige left for Dallas.
She cried the whole ride to the airport, clutching Paige’s hand the entire time.
“I’ll come visit you,” Paige whispered into her hair. “And I’ll send you pictures from every new place, okay?”
“You pwomise.”
“Yeah, jellybean. I promise.” She said locking pinkies with Aria.
When we finally got back to the apartment, Paige leaned her head back on the couch and exhaled.
“I miss her already.”
“You’re gonna be the coolest WNBA auntie ever.”
“I’m gonna send her a stuffed armadillo from Texas.”
“She’s gonna sleep with it every night.”
We both looked out the window in silence for a moment.
“She’s gonna grow up so fast,” Paige said softly.
I reached over, lacing my fingers with hers. “We’ll still be her Paigey and Y/N.”
“Always?”
“Always.”
Later That Night
I got a text.
From Aria.
(Okay, from my sister’s phone, but still.)
It was a drawing. Paige and I holding hands. Aria in the middle. A rainbow over our heads. And above it, in Aria’s all-caps handwriting:
“MY PAIGEY. MY Y/N. MY FAMILY.”

behind the sign | alessia russo
-> based on this request:)

masterlist
alessia had been feeling the pressure of the match all day. it was a big one, champions league quarter final against real madrid at the emirates. the arsenal girls all giving it their best.
the stadium buzzed with energy as fans filled the stands even though it was a tuesday night, the air thick with anticipation — would they be able to overturn a 2-0 loss and make it through to the semi’s?
alessia’s heart raced, but it wasn’t just the game that had her mind racing. it was you. she hadn’t heard from you much over the weekend, leading up to the game.
you’d been on a brand trip, a company flying you out to los angeles — something big in the works with your agency. and alessia understood how packed those schedules could be.
you’d exchanged a few quick texts but alessia knew you wouldn’t be able to make it to the game. you being stuck in photoshoots and meetings all weekend and the fact you were across an ocean and in a completely different time zone to her.
alessia wasn’t upset, you had a career of your own which she was so proud of and she knew you’d be watching no matter the time nor what you were doing but a small part of her had hoped you would somehow be there to cheer her on.
the warm ups came and went, the team now huddled in the locker room preparing for the match ahead. alessia sat on the bench tying her boots. her thoughts drifting back to you.
she missed your smile, your laugh, the way you always seemed to make her feel like everything was going to be okay, no matter how tough her game or week had been.
“everything okay, less?” her teammate, beth asked noticing her distracted expression as she got ready.
“yeah, just… you know” alessia gave a small smile, not wanting to go into details, “i’m good.”
the match began and as usual alessia was laser focused. the game was intense, with real madrid giving them a tough fight but alessia was in her element — determined, swift and every bit the star forward she was.
the ball found her feet more often than not, and with each touch she could feel her confidence building. taking shots, building momentum. the crowd was loud but her focus stayed on the field,
0-0 was the score at halftime as the players trudged down the tunnel at the emirates. but then, just as the second half begun, alessia made a break down the wing the ball at the perfect angle to shoot, it smashing into the back of the net.
pure adrenaline filled alessia as she ran off to celebrate, her teammates rushing after her to celebrate. alessia let herself hear the crowd. she could hear the cheers, followed by her chant. her eyes scanning the crowd with a big grin.
the roar of the crowd was constant but her gaze locked on a familiar figure, standing in disguise with a cap and dark sunglasses even though it was a late afternoon but she could spot that grin from anywhere, you.
you were holding up a small, hand written sign, grinning like a fool who knew exactly what they were doing. the sign, impossibly bold in the middle of the crowd, read: ‘can i have a picture lessi-lou?’
she nearly tripped over her own feet.
in the next play of the game, with adrenaline in her veins and the world blurring around her, everything froze for a heartbeat. she blinked. yep. still there. still you. still obnoxiously charming with that ridiculous sign and that stupidly cute, cheeky grin.
her heart kicked up a notch.
you winked at her then, like the human embodiment of a wink, lifting the sign higher with both hands and puffing your chest like a proud dork. you looked like you were was enjoying every second of alessia’s stunned expression.
alessia rolled her eyes so hard she nearly saw the back of her head, but she couldn’t stop the smile tugging at her lips. that grin of yours was infectious, like always.
‘your impossible’ she mouthed as she went to get the ball from the ball boy close to where you were sat. you gave her a thumbs-up and mouthed back, ‘you love it.’
and, annoyingly, she did.
trying to refocus on the game, she gave a subtle shake of her head and turned away, but not before giving you the tiniest, conspiratorial smirk. your timing was chaotic, your methods were absurd—but your message was clear. i’m here. and that one gesture gave her the exact boost she didn’t know she needed.
the final whistle blew. alessia’s team erupted in cheers, and while her teammates swarmed each other in celebration, her eyes were already scanning the crowd again. victory felt amazing—but there was something else, someone else, alessia wanted more in that moment.
she spotted you, already climbing down from the stands, that goofy grin still plastered across your face like you were proud of yourself for pulling off the surprise of the century.
without thinking, she took off toward you, ignoring the stares and the yells after her from her teammates, her feet moving faster than her brain.
as soon as she reached the base of the barrier, you were already there, waiting like you knew she’d come running. you barely got a word out before alessia launched into you, wrapping her arms around your neck in a tight, breath-stealing hug.
“you actually made it?” she said against his shoulder, a little breathless. “i thought you were stuck in la doing your ‘very important, fancy photo shoots for your brand.’”
“cancelled my last shoot,” you shrugged as if it was nothing, pulling back to meet alessia’s gaze. “besides, what’s more important than watching my girlfriend run circles around people while pretending she doesn’t miss me?”
“oh my god,” alessia groaned, smacking your chest lightly. “do you ever stop?”
“hmm, nope,” you said proudly with a cheeky grin on your lips. “i’m just charming. it’s in the job description.”
alessia looked down at the sign still in your hands and snorted. “this is peak chaos. you’re lucky i love you.”
“i was banking on that,” you said, winking. “also, i debated between that message and ‘marry me, alessia’—but figured i’d save the panic attack for another game.”
alessia laughed, snatching the sign from you. “you’re ridiculous.”
“and yet, you’re still standing here,” you said smugly. “with heart eyes.”
“i do not have heart eyes.”
“you totally do. it’s okay. i get it—i’m very lovable.”
alessia rolled her eyes and held up the sign, admiring it. “if i say yes to the picture, will you stop talking?”
“absolutely not. but you’ll be smiling, so it won’t matter.”
you pulled out your phone and snapped a quick shot of alessia holding the sign, then leaned in and took a few selfies of the both of you, alessia still flushed from the game and you looking entirely too pleased with yourself.
“look at us,” you said, scrolling through the photos. “power couple. athlete and her number one fangirl.”
“number one embarrassment, maybe,” alessia teased giggling slightly as she leaned in to kiss you anyway.
“hey, now” you murmured against her lips. “you say that, but you ran to me like you were in a movie. i half expected slow-motion music to start and play around the emirates.”
“shut up,” she said, though her laughter made it hard to sound stern. “you make me insane.”
“a good insane, though,” you said, wrapping your arms around her again. “like… ‘this girl drives me up the wall but i’d still kiss her forever’ kind of insane.”
alessia hummed. “fine. but only because you canceled your shoot.”
“oh, you think that’s why i came?” you grinned. “please, i came to support my team! and to should off my artistic skills that lettering on the sign? that took me three hours on the flight yesterday.”
“you spelled ‘please’ wrong.”
your face dropped. “wait—what? no, i didn’t.”
alessia grinned wickedly but teasingly. “kidding. but admit it, you panicked just a little.”
“i hate how good you are at that.”
“and yet,” alessia said, pulling you into another kiss, “you still love me.”
you kissed her back, slow and full of everything words couldn’t quite say. your hands rested on her waist, hers tugging at your collar, and the noise of the stadium faded into background static.
when the two of you finally pulled apart, alessia rested her forehead against yours, still catching her breath.
“thanks for the surprise,” alessia whispered. “it meant everything.”
your eyes softened as you brushed her cheek with your thumb. “just wanted to remind you… you’re never doing this alone. even if i have to make ten more signs and accidentally embarrass you every time.”
alessia smiled so wide it hurt. “you’re lucky you’re cute.”
“devastatingly cute,” you corrected her, taking alessia’s hand as the two of you started walking out together, alessia needing to get showered and changed from the match.
and in that moment, with victory behind alessia and you beside her, alessia realised something:
the stadium had roared for the win. but alessia? she’d already won the second she saw you in the crowd.
hand in hand, the two of you walked toward the tunnel at the emirates, alessia having dragged you past the steward much to the stare he gave you. alessia just giving him her usual smile as she walked hand in hand with you.
the crowd still buzzing behind the two of you, but alessia was already thinking ahead—to the quiet after the storm, the part where the two of you would finally get a moment alone.
at the two of you stepped past the threshold into the player’s tunnel, a familiar chorus of voices called out.
“well, well, look who couldn’t wait five minutes before running off to her girlfriend.” kyra’s teasing voice echoed through the tunnel.
alessia groaned and turned to see a small cluster of her arsenal teammates still lingering by the dressing room entrance, grinning like hyenas.
“thought she was running to the fans,” beth teased as she leaned again the wall. “turns out she was running straight into a rom-com.”
you, to alessia’s horror, lit up like a kid at christmas. “oh, please,” you said, slipping into full performance mode. “she sprinted like she’d just scored the winning goal and i was holding a puppy and a plate of pasta.”
the girls lost it. alessia smacked at your chest lightly. “y/n!, don’t encourage them.”
you turned to her teammates, voice mock-serious. “you should’ve seen the look in her eyes. pure passion. like she saw her soulmate in the form of a girl holding a wrinkled cardboard sign.”
“stop!” alessia groaned, burying her face in her hands as the teasing doubled.
kyra leaned closer to you, the two of you having grown close through alessia and the fact the young australian never seemed to let go of your girlfriend’s side. “how’d you pull off the sign, by the way?“
“i have layers,” you replied solemnly. “romantic, artistic, humble—triple threat.”
alessia gave you a look. “and you forgot ‘embarrassing.’”
you turned to alessia with an exaggerated sigh. “you say that like it’s not part of my charm.”
“she’s smiling,” steph pointed out, elbowing alessia lightly in the ribs. “you’re totally gone for her.”
alessia rolled her eyes but couldn’t fight the grin tugging at her lips. “i am going to murder all of you.”
“oh please,” you said, stepping in closer to alessia, voice low now, playful and soft. “you love it.”
“do i?” alessia challenged, arching a brow. she knew what she was doing. you smiled, slow and sure. “want me to prove it?”
before alessia could answer, you leaned in and kissed her—right there in the middle of the tunnel, with laughter echoing in the background and boots scuffing off the concrete floors. it wasn’t dramatic or showy, just a sweet, certain kiss. one that said, ‘yeah. you love it. and i love you.’
when the two of you broke apart, alessia was blushing furiously. the arsenal girls whooped like they were in the front row of a rom-com premiere.
“okay, okay,” alessia said, waving them off. “off you go. haven’t you all got ice baths to complain about?”
the girls scattered, still laughing and throwing there teasing jabs at alessia as they left you and alessia alone in the tunnel’s quiet hum.
you bumped her shoulder as the two of you walked. “you’re welcome, by the way. i made your tunnel entrance memorable.”
alessia shook her head, still smiling as she reached for your hand again. “you’re lucky i love you” you pressing a kiss to her cheek.
and as the two of you disappeared down the tunnel together, the energy of the night still buzzing in the walls, alessia couldn’t stop the flutter in her chest. it wasn’t just the win. it wasn’t even the kiss.
it was the way you fit so effortlessly into her world—and made it a whole lot better.

Not sure if you’re taking requests but I’m a sad and anxious American who could use a bit of happiness rn. Thank you in advance but also no worries if this doesn’t spark anything.
Just a little fluffy something with Leah or Alessia at home, “there’s no way these are vegan” after surprising them with homemade brownies
special brownies II l.williamson, a.russo
"less you can't eat brownies, we have a match tomorrow." leah reminded sternly as you carded your fingers through the moody strikers hair, her head resting in your lap as she groaned loudly at your other girlfriends words.
"yeah leah a match i have to play on my period! at least let me eat some sort of warm chocolate if i can't curl into a ball and die." alessia mumbled miserably, rolling over and pushing her face into your hoodie covered stomach.
"don't!" you mouthed at the older girl who scoffed and was clearly ready to say something that absolutely would not help the situation. "i'll make you brownies for after the game tomorrow baby, i promise." you assured alessia, rubbing her back gently as she huffed, clearly not happy but somewhat accepting of the offer.
"with ice cream?" "with ice cream." "that vanilla bean ice cream in the blue container?" "yes lessi, i will make sure to buy that exact ice cream just for you."
"you're going to bake brownies from scratch?" leah snickered, lifting your shared girlfriends legs and settling herself onto the sofa, alessia digging her heels into leahs thigh mumbling about a foot massage, making the defender roll her eyes but oblige none the less.
"yes i am. are you going to try and tell me i can't? little miss 'childrens menu'." you narrowed your eyes skeptically, feeling alessia chuckle lightly before leah squeezed her foot too hard and her head popped up to shoot her a glare.
"well babe i think we all remember the last time you tried to bake. i, at least, can admit that i am not a good cook. which is why i'm dating one and a half of them!" leah grinned, quickly assuring the grumpy striker that she was the one and you were the half.
"half!" you protested, a little pinch to your thigh meaning you resumed scratching alessia's back where you'd paused momentarily, glaring daggers at the other girl a few cushions down.
"you do your best baby, and your best is good. but maybe you could just buy some brownies? that little cafe leah loves does them with the chocolate chips, we can grab a coffee and then heat them up later after the game." alessia mumbled into your chest, patting your thigh in an attempt to show support.
"do you both really think i'm that incapable of making brownies?" you asked in disbelief, the silence in response practically deafening. "wow! well the truth comes out." you scoffed in offense, both blondes heads snapping toward you as you attempted to wiggle out from alessias grip.
"no come on love don't be like that! baking just isn't for everyone. same as football isn't for everyone or maths isn't for everyone, its fine!" alessia held on tightly, tugging you back down and shuffling her body to lay on you more as you crossed your arms.
"everyone has their own special skill set baby girl, yours just doesn't include baking. more like...burning? hey i bet if we were ever stranded on a desert island you'd be able to get a fire going!" leah was clearly trying to be on the same supportive track as your other girlfriend but failing miserably as even alessia cringed at the attempt.
"no baby she didn't mean that don't-" but this time you managed to pull yourself free and roll out from beneath alessia, shooting up to your feet and taking turns glaring at the two blondes still laid up on the sofa.
"tomorrow i will not be coming to your game. i am going to spend the afternoon here baking and you will both come home to the best fucking brownies you've ever tasted-no actually the best vegan brownies you've ever tasted because i am that confident that i can do it. even without dairy!" you announced, stomping off to go sulk by yourself and look up some recipes.
"wait but babe you're still going to get regular ice cream right? not vegan ice cream? right? babe!"
~
you'd been so confident, you really had, which had made the fall from grace and back into reality a difficult one.
the reality that your girlfriends doubts weren't so far fetched and you might not actually be capable of baking, all the more prickly an acceptance to swallow.
which is what had lead to this disgustingly sneaky switch, the evidence of your previous three attempts scattered strategically around the kitchen for your lovers to see, and the evidence of the store bought brownies you'd rushed out to buy instead well hidden at the very bottom of the trash bins.
you'd just taken them out of the microwave to warm them up, very carefully stacking them up on a plate when you heard alessia's car in the driveway, leah playing passenger princess today.
they'd done their best this morning to grovel and sweet talk and try their very hardest to change your mind about coming to the game but you were stubborn by nature and once it was made up there wasn't much to be done to change it.
so they'd trudged off to the match like kicked puppies and you'd spent your afternoon burning chocolate and yelling at the oven trying to shift the blame before inevitably accepting your fate.
however you'd made such a fuss and a point both last night and this morning about your abilities that you may have accepted your fate, but you had no intent on letting your girlfriends do the same, the art of deception hopefully saving you the further embarrassment of eating your words with an audience.
"you did it!" alessias eyes lit up as she entered the kitchen first, hair damp and scraped up into a bun. "congratulations on the hat trick baby." you smiled, pecking her lips a few times before her loving gaze dropped down to the sweet treats on the counter.
"i think she plays better on her period." leah mused as she wandered in, the younger blonde shooting her a dirty look in response as leah kissed her cheek apologetically and wrapped you in a hug.
"you're so much prettier when you don't talk." you teased, squeezing her face in your hand with a wink as leah pulled a face and blew a raspberry on your cheek.
"less!" you laughed, turning around a few seconds later and already finding the striker with a mouthful of brownie, crumbs down the front of her hoodie and a blissed out look on her face.
"what? i was promised these!" she defended still with a mouthful of food making you wince and push her lightly. "yes you were babe and you more than earned them." you chuckled, leah reaching around you to take one for herself.
"babe there's no way these are vegan!" the milton keynes local scoffed after a mere sniff causing your eyes to roll as she took a cautious bite. "are too." you gestured your arms around to the plethora of substitutes piled around the kitchen as leah hummed skeptically.
"just tell her she did a good job, shut up, and stuff your face with chocolate leah." alessia defended, hugging you from behind as you smiled gratefully and kissed her jaw, pushing away from her as she shoved the other half of the baked good into her mouth and sent crumbs showering down on you.
"well i need a quick shower but ice creams in the freezer-" you kissed alessia's cheek since her lips were preoccupied making out with a brownie.
"-whipped creams in the fridge." you pecked leahs lips knowingly. "oi!" the defender grabbed at you as your hand collected with her ass with a wink, escaping to the bathroom for a shower and leaving them to their brownies.
which may have been a mistake.
when you returned it was to a welcomingly quiet living room, both of your blondes laid on the lounge watching a film, which judging by the bored look on leahs face and the concentrated one on alessia's, the film had been the strikers choice.
offering them both a cup of tea which was met with a resoundingly quick yes from each you disapeared to the kitchen, not hearing leah get up to follow you much to alessia's grumpy protests at being left alone.
"you know babe i noticed something very interesting about your brownies." leah hummed causing you to jump a little not having thought anyone was with you, flicking the kettle on to boil and raising an eyebrow at her questioningly.
"well you know i love a good jigsaw, yeah?" leah questioned, grabbing the plate of brownies which was remarkably untouched given alessia's desire to inhale the lot of them just moments before you ducked off for a shower.
"but with a jigsaw, all the pieces...have to match up." leah nodded down as your eyes dropped, leah having lined up the brownies which sure enough weren't even close to matching up together the way they would if you'd baked them in the tray you'd claimed to.
"well thats because-" "oh no no my girl, i wasn't asking." leah interrupted with a shake of her head and a finger pressed to your lips. "i know you didn't bake those, and they sure as shit aren't vegan." leah smirked knowingly, pulling your body closer into hers as she leaned down, lips ghosting your own as right as you tried to kiss her she pulled away, smirk growing wider as her hands slipped up your hoodie.
"the only question i want the answer to is, how are you going to make it up to us for lying baby?"

More than a pretty face II Alessia Russo x Williamson!Reader
romantic masterlist | platonic masterlist | word count: 1630
summary: Leah is the third wheel whenever she’s with your girlfriend Alessia and you. While the striker struggles with her body image.
author's note: hi everyone, we combined the request with an idea we had in the back of our mind and we hope you'll like the mix of lightheartedness and heavier topics. 🤍❤️
Post-training dinners were one of your favourite team traditions. Every few weeks, after a long, hard session, the entire Arsenal squad would go out for a meal. You loved the combination of good food and conversations with your friends. It was something that you were looking forward to every time.
Too preoccupied with arguing with your sister, you completely forgot about the pasta before you. At least until you heard Kyra giggle on the other side of the table.
“Lessi, are you kidding?”, she laughed.
You watched Alessia frown at her: “Why?”
“There’s only green on your plate.”, Kyra grimaced in disgust, pointing at your girlfriend’s salad.
“Yeah, I wanted a salad.”
You studied her plate from across the table. No toppings, no dressing, just plain salad.
Leah involved herself in their conversation: “Nothing wrong with that. Kyra, you could need some greens too.”
Kyra wrinkled her nose again: “Ew.”
Alessia shrugged, smiling: “She’s not wrong.”
It was a polite smile that didn’t reach her eyes.
“Yes, she is. That’s not what you need after a long training session.“, Kyra complained jokingly.
You bit your lip and watched as your girlfriend discussed different food choices with your teammates.
With nervous fingers, you tapped Beths arm and whispered: “Beth?”
The midfielder turned to you: “Hm?”
“I feel like Lessi… I think the comments about her appearance got to her.”, you carefully formulated the worry that had begun to appear in your chest. Suddenly, your stomach was in knots, you weren’t hungry anymore.
“You think so?”, Beth asked in surprise.
“I do… Look.”
She followed your gaze towards Alessia.
“The salad?”
You nodded cautiously: “Yes. Do you think I’m paranoid?”
Alessia had struggled before with her body image, you knew that. So, every sign of changes in her eating pattern sent a subtle wave of panic through your body.
Beth sighed: “I think if you really want to know, you should talk to her.”
You forced a smile: “Ugh, why are you always right?”
“Sorry.“
“Always, right? What did you two chat about?”, Leah asked innocently.
Beth shrugged and deliberately lied to your sister: “Football stuff.”
“Yes, things you wouldn’t understand, Lee.”, you joked, teasing her.
Leah rolled her eyes at you as she so often did: “Oh yeah, because I obviously don’t play football.”
“You do but no that up front.”, you explained.
“Still.”
“Will you drive with us to this team activity thing next week?”
“Nah, I don’t want to be the third wheel again between you two lovers.”, Leah quickly shook her head.
Beth snorted: “You don’t mind that any other time either.”
“And it's not our fault that your girlfriend is American”, you added in a teasing tone, which earned you a playful slap from your sister.
Her lips formed to a pout:” Doesn’t take away from the fact that I don’t want to hang out with you two. I’m driving with Lia and Kim.”
“Oh, wow.”, you whistled, pretended to be offended by her decision.
This didn’t stop the defender from mockingly continuing: “Besides, you’re a horrible driver.”
“Thanks, Lee.”, you rolled your eyes at her.
It was the night of your team activity, usually it involved dinner and games, and you were leaning against the open door of your bedroom to check on your girlfriend:” You’re ready, Lessi? We should be leaving soon?”
“No, I hate my outfit.”, she groaned in frustration, still laying on the bed.
When you noticed the dried tears on her cheeks, your heart broke a little. In the late afternoon light, the blonde looked gorgeous, and you wished she could see herself as you saw her, the striker was even sadly breathtaking.
You gently took Alessia's hands, in which she had hidden her face: “Less, you look beautiful.”
“I don’t.”, the forward replied with a trembling voice.
“Alessia?”
“Yes?”, your girlfriend glanced up at you.
Softly, you asked her:” Would you like to change into something more comfortable?”
“Can I wear your sweater?”, a small smile appeared on the blonde’s lips.
In one quick swipe you pulled off your oversized pullover to hand it to her: “You.. yes, you can have it.”
Alessia pressed the garment gratefully to her chest and explained:” It’s just the comfiest thing.”
In a sincere tone, you whispered into her ear: “You also look very cute in it.”
For a second, she beamed at your words before her grin disappeared as quickly as it had come, leaving only a gloomy expression on her face. “Do you think the comments are wrong or right?”, the striker questioned.
“I knew it was about the comments.”, you mumbled.
“And oh god, maybe I’m a bad role model if I sometimes don’t feel confident in my own body.”, your girlfriend panicked.
Soothingly you began to stroke her back: ”Lessi, calm down.”
“Sorry.”
You cupped her face tenderly in your hands, hoping that your sentences reached her:” Listen, it’s normal not to feel confident all the time. No one does. You’re not doing anything wrong and you’re not a bad role model.”
“But you and your sister look so perfect.”, Alessia protested weakly.
“That’s not true, Less. We’re not perfect, no one is.”
She smiled sheepishly: “At least you’re perfect to me.”
Apparently, your words began to have an effect, because the striker added cheekily: “Aside from the fact that you snore at night, it's not exactly Sleeping Beauty-like.”
“Shut up!”, you playfully hit her arm with the pillow.
Alessia giggled. The sound was like music to your ears.
A little smirk appeared on her face: “Make me.”
You were only too willing to bridge the gap between the two of you and put your lips on hers until your girlfriend was too out of breath to keep talking.
But before you could make a move, Alessia interrupted herself after checking the time on her phone: “Actually, wait for it until after team bonding.”
You heaved a frustrated sigh but still slipped into your jacket: “Fine. Ready to go?”
“I’m ready.”
You both left your apartment but before you got into Alessias car, you took her hand and held her back: “Less?”
Alessia turned towards you: “Huh?”
“You’re beautiful and you’re a great athlete, okay? It doesn’t matter what other people think.”, you assured her one last time.
She nodded thoughtfully: “Okay.”
“Okay, now let’s go, pretty girl.”, you smiled at her.
You got into the passenger seat of her car while Alessia drove.
“I hope they got Pizza on the menu so we can share.”, your girlfriend said suddenly.
You laughed, surprised by her comment: “Oh no. You always say that and then you’ll complain that the pizza in Italy is better.”
“It’s true! Nothing beats Pizza in Italy.”
“See?”, you rolled your eyes with a laugh.
“Okay, fine. I still want to share Pizza with you.”
“Me too.”, you grinned. Your heart skipped a beat, seeing how excited Alessia seemed to be.
You arrived at the location five minutes late and you would have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for your sister.
“Hi, you two are fashionably late.”, she greeted you with a wink.
You shrugged and lied to her: “My fault. We had to make out in the car first.”
Leah grimaced: “Disgusting.”
“Oh, someone’s a gremlin again.”, Alessia teased.
Your sister pouted and turned to Lia: “Wally, they’re impossible.”
“You love them.”, the Swiss player replied matter-of-factly.
“Sadly, I do but don’t tell them.”
“I would never. But I’m sure they know, you love to hang out of them.”, Lia laughed.
“Even when I feel left out sometimes because look at them.”, Leah complained, pointing at where you and Alessia were studying the menu.
Lia grinned: “They’re a couple and you’re surprised about that?”
“Elle and I are not that bad.”
You looked up and glared at your sister: “Yes, you are.”
“Shut up.”, Leah retorted.
You shook your head: “No. The pizzas arrived, my friends.”
Alessias eyes lit up as a server placed the plate in front of her: “Finally.”
The good food, lively conversations with your teammates and your girlfriend’s genuine smile warmed your heart and soul.
Once the dinner was over Leah gave you a short hug:” Drive home safely.”
“You’re not driving with us?”, you asked astonished.
The defender paused for a moment, pretending to think carefully about the question, before answering with a grin on her lips:” Actually, yes, I’ll come with you, but only if Alessia drives.”
Gallantly, Alessia opened the passenger doors and bowed slightly to you both:” Get inside my passenger princesses.”
“Excuse me. I’m the passenger princess, she can sit in the backseat.”, you promptly protested.
“Ugh, fine.”, Leah grimaced as the blonde sat down right behind you.
With a sweet smile, you turned your head towards your sister:” Sorry, big sis.”
“You’re not really sorry.”, the older woman observed her arms crossed in front of her chest.
Your giggles filled the car:”No.”
Amused, Alessia shook her head and turned up the volume on the radio. Once her car stopped in front of the defender’s house, she said:” Good night, Leah.”
“Night, girls.”, the blonde waved goodbye and skipped buoyantly to her front door.
On the way to your home, your girlfriend began nervously.” Amore, I thought about what you said earlier.”
“And?”
“You were right.”, Alessia conceded.
The car stopped at the red light, the rain pattering on the roof, as you hugged her from the side with relief and gave her a kiss on the cheek: “You’re so much more than a pretty face, Lessi, please never forget that.”
“And so are you.”, she replied in an earnest tone, pressing her lips gently to your hand.
Then Alessia continued the drive through the night, the lights of London guiding you both to your home.
