I just wanna blog...jot down thoughts, impressions, ideas. And mostly reblog pretty pictures and funny memes. I need this to help me interact-process+process-interact. I need blogging to help me learn how to balance my inner and outer contacts and because it's part of a larger goal.

I am willing to talk, willing to be friends. I do not limit or control the future's possibilities because...the future is FUCKING HUGE DUDE! and always in motion, even when we are not.

I get cagey and come and go from Tumblr because of BITCHES BE CASTING SPELLS. You know it. I know it. Damn hoes sure as shit know it. Whether you are in denial, or others are, or said sluts and gigolos are convincing liars: I know what's up. And yeah, I have an army at my back and Jehova is my provider. Having said that, I do not enjoy tempting Him, or goading those with hateful agendas.

I honestly don't understand people who pursue vengeance or any of that nonsense. To me, it is the epitome of waste and self-destruction.

Nevertheless, I need to speak my mind on my journey. If it helps others, all the better. If some feel exposed, they are responsible for their emotions and actions, not me. My intentions are to speak truth, compassion, exploration and to be real, authentic, as much as I am able. I hope that doesn't interfere.

I am working hard monitoring myself and trying to stay outta' ya'll bullshit. Your business is your business and I have nothing for you.

I love libraries.

I'm browsing the WWI shelves (as you do) and notice a very old book about the war. I glance at the first pages that talk about how one day the war will be over and we'll look at this place and not see any signs of the battlefield.

Then it hits me. And I check the publishing date.

This book was printed before the war's end. Not written. Printed. The physical object was created in 1918, while the war in question was raging and the end was as yet uncertain.

Now I'm standing on the other side of the apocalypse, with this physical link to that era in my hands. I'm living proof that the war did end and life did go on and we can all look at the end of the world as a long-ago memory.

Reading old books is cool enough, connecting our minds and hearts through the ideas of people who lived long ago, but there's something extra profound about holding a copy of the book that comes from the time that it was written. It's a physical link between the past and the present connecting me to those long-ago people. A piece of the past come into the future that gives me the chance to almost take the hand of some long-ago reader, to hold something they could have held, connecting not just mentally but physically to their era, a moment of connection across more than a century.

I like to think that bestie reader has personalised ring tones on her phone, Louis’s is a song they both love and it’s super wholesome and then when/ if Armand calls her it’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor 🦇🎹

Wait this is so good omg. If we're suggesting songs for Louis's ring tone I kind of like the idea of Ribs by Lorde or Dorothea by Taylor Swift bc they're so friendship based, but I don't feel fully sold on either. I could also see it being a classical song or something more from Louis's time that they like to play in the background when they hang out.

Also once I got past the amazing mental image of bestie reader's ring tone for Armand being Toccata and Fugue in D minor, the "when/if Armand calls her" really stood out to me. It has so much potential. (It lowkey made me want to write a phone call drabble)

I can imagine him in Dubai thinking about bestie reader and how he hasn't heard her voice (outside of Louis's phone conversations with her) in a little bit and then remembering that he also has her phone number and technically he could call her. I can see him sitting with this thought on and off for a few days, and he only comes close to acting on it when the sun is still out so Louis is still asleep.

He's weighing the pros and cons like there's an answer in there when really, the extent of the points are:

Pros: She'll talk to me.

Cons: She'll know I wanted her to talk to me.
