Okay, so this. Isn't really what I set out to do?? Bcs I still don't have a like. Solid idea in my head for what a witch-er version of jb would look like?? I guess?? But I still wanted to do Something, and I blacked out, and this was in my files.

Also mephisto's laugh was written backwards on purpose but I retrospect it just kinda looks like a scribble lmfao so make of that what you will.

Still playing with the concept of magic clinging onto the DuLac family from their magical upbringing/connections! Galahad gets it, too, just like his Daddy- but because he’s second generation, it’s much more subtle. 

So subtle, that at first glance, it doesn’t look like anything is there. C:

*Destino approaches the Meloetta.* Destino: Green and black? That's the colour combination you decided to go for? I mean, it's incredibly brave of you to be coming to an event like this in an outfit like that but who am I to judge? Anyway, I heard you could sing. You know, it just so happens that I'm quite the singer myself. Why don't you give a little demonstration? I could use a challenge.

The less than polite start to Destino's approach receives no reaction from Magpie, not even a small huff or frown. Not because she misses the rude undertones to the Absol’s commentary, but because she hears it loud and clear, and doesn’t consider the petty snark worth getting upset about. Instead she looks down at herself to truly consider her appearance, holding out the front of the dress to view the material glittering underneath the chandelier's light before twisting to test the swish. She hums thoughtfully. "I suppose it could be seen as a bit predictable color wise, but that is a limitation to the ease brought with my form changes. Although if you have a suggestion for what could make it better beyond changing the color, I'm all ears!"

She flashes a smile, hands coming together in front of her as she sways slightly to an invisible rhythm. "But yes! I can sing-- however I'm unsure how appropriate it would be for me to do so here."

Tonight's event is different from the parties Magpie has attended before, for once she isn't expected to provide the entertainment and she'd hate to pull the attention from those who the gala is for, to cause a fuss. However singing is a core part to her existence as a Meloetta, a Pokemon born from music, so the offer to sing itches at the back of her throat, warms the jewel embedded in her chest. "…As long as I keep it down, a short demonstration shouldn't cause too much disruption, right? Though, that brings the problem of what I should sing. Meloetta are best known for our arias, but I'm accustomed to many other types of song."

She tilts her head, briefly contemplating her options until a lightbulb goes off in her head, and her smile turns into an excited grin. In her excitement she quickly crowds into Destino's space, eyes sparkling. "I know! You said you could sing, yes? What type of songs do you enjoy? Perhaps you could teach me something and I can sing that!"

With all the varied attendees here, it's the perfect opportunity to learn more about music she's never even heard of before. A great way to spend the night, in her opinion. She looks up at the Absol expectantly, earnestly, and waits for their response.
