▸   // On  a  frigid  autumn  night  the  streets  of  Central  City  bathe  in  luminous  color.  Faces  of  all  kinds  smile  at  each  other.  Faces  of  all  kinds  ignore  one  another.  Harmonious.  Safe.

With  a  push  of  a  button  it  all  goes  black.

▸   // Glittering  lights  of  storefronts  cease,  lamps  darken  and  traffic  halts.  As  moonlight  overtakes  the  streets  people  are  quick  to  call  out  for  help.  Uproarious  panic  graces  the  atmosphere,  echoing  far  and  wide.  Sing-songy  chaos  a  wondrous  cue  to  one  lone  fennec  boy  who  listens  to  the  choir  with great intent.  His  oversized  ear  attentive  and  upright,  flicking  before  drooping  at  his  side  completely. It  was  just  all  too perfect,  parts  of  town  had  become  much  too  reliant  on  technology,  a  cluster  of  forced  errors  in  the  grid  was  enough  to  down  a  good  chunk  of  the  city.  It  was embarrassing for  it's inhabitant yet  ideal  for  a  certain  rambunctious  teen  looking  to  cause  a  scene.

▸   // Like sands in an hourglass civilians  funnel  through  cramp  roads;  desperate to  urge  time  forward only to be held back by neighboring grains.  Cries  and  rushing  feet  mask  the  shattering  of  windows.  Aqueous  tendrils  strike  store  after  store  deftly  looting  valuables  and  shoving  any  in  their  owners  way.  Of  course  salesmen  protest;  irate  shrills  beg  precious inventory  be  returned.  Their  assailant  could  only  muster  a  disinterested  roll  of  the  eyes.  The  loot was the least of his concerns;  the  garbage  was  a  means  to  an  end.  There  are  bigger, louder priorities  at  play.

A  free  hydro  coil  crashes  center  of  the  retreating  crowd. 

“Scream  louder.  She  needs  to  hear  you.”

my mom made some cookies today (I was supposed to help, but I needed to take a shower first and she just decided to make them anyway without me.. I'm gonna help her with more cookies next week tho. more peppermint ones!)

the cookies are m&m using mini m&ms by my personal request. we did make a small select few with some white chocolate chips for me specifically. they're pretty good, but the m&ms are def way better. my mom even made a few with regular chocolate chips.

today was the funeral for my grandma and in her honor I wanted to make some m&m cookies, cuz the last thing I remember talking to her about was over the phone and making plans to visit and make cookies with her. she really wanted that and was fascinated about the idea of m&ms.

I never got to do that with her tho.. never got around to it.

I'm happy to have these cookies made tho. feels good.

the m&m store is the worst place in the world

i went in new york because everyone said i had to go, and

it was a bad place. it was like an art exhibit trying to convey a glimpse of the true experience of separation from god. a spiralling labyrinth digging up into the city smog like dante's inferno inverted. every face of every person in that forsaken place wore the same bewildered, hopeless expression, like they'd just woken up from a dream of another life to find themselves back where they have always been and will always be
