A Scholar's hands roamed the body of his lover. Tracing, circling, drawing invisible patterns only the two of them could see. The early morning sunlight illuminated all his scars and all the patterns in his rough bark he had for skin. Highlighting them in such a beautiful way. This morning was perfect. Silent and calm. Just the two of them. His fingers trailed over a very jagged duo of scars across his lover's collarbone. "Where did you get these from?" He hadn't entirely realized he'd asked out loud. He had always wondered about them. Such a violent memory, sealed into his very being. He couldn't help but wonder. "Sand Lion den mother. Caught me off guard." His lover's arm wrapped around him a bit tighter, holding him close. "Looks fucked though doesn't it?" His lover asked with a smirk. Indeed, that story was much less drastic than the one he'd imagined based on the marks themselves. "I think they are quite beautiful." He answered softly. Sleep still clung to their minds and bodies. His lover's smirk faded to a soft smile. "Why do you like my scars so much?" A moment before he answered, "You that into bad boys?" was added, and the smirk had returned. "You enjoy teasing too much Gwyn. I fear the Commander's rubbing off on you." His lover chuckled. He returned to quietly tracing and drawing on Maelgwyn's skin. "Your very body tells a story of how far you've come. I cannot help but think that is beautiful on it's own." He knew scars could be grim reminders as well, or just, something that had happened once. But, there was just, something he couldn't quite name, that made his lover's scars that much more. He looked up at Maelgwyn, "Do you have any scars, that you regret?" He hesitated as he asked, he didn't want to sacrifice their shared peace just to sate his own curiosity. He did want to know though, for future mornings. To avoid mis-steps. Maelgwyn hummed, thinking. "Not really." Not exactly the answer he expected. "Truly?" Maelgwyn shifted to hold Trahearne tighter against his own body. "Truly." Maelgwyn nestled his face into Trahearne's shoulder. "I don't have time for regret. My scars are what they are." Maelgwyn lifted his head to purr into Trahearne's ear, "I like how much you like them though." Playfully, he swatted his lover away. "Behave you." His lover chuckled, shifting the both of them to lay over Trahearne. "You know damn well I don't know how to do that with you." He purred again. Everytime his lover purred anything to him, shivers went down his spine. He bit his lip. "Perhaps, I should teach you, then?" The invitation was accepted, and their morning began.

Enough people asked for an Apple-Silicon port of my After Effects plugins and Apple has made Virtualization these days hard enough to where I just went and used the rest of my DeepCool refund money to get the cheapest M2 Mac Mini to begin porting my After Effects plugins(among other things) to x64/ARM-OSX(they already supported x64/OSX, but now it supports x64/ARM universal binaries).

This is the first time I ever actually owned any Apple Hardware since I'm pretty Anti-Apple by principal but this thing will basically pay for itself now that more people can use the plugins and software I make.

I find it funny that Apple seems to identify all other Non-Apple devices on my network with a crusy old CRT monitor with BSOD 🥴

So far the dev experience has been pretty alright. I primarily use VSCode for all my programming and use the Remote Desktop feature to develop on my rackmounted server or locally and such. Was able to get a remote VSCode dev environment up and running, though the debugger is broke so I am forced to use XCode when I want to debug a crash of some sort. For some reason, to interface with the App-Store to even install XCode I was required to put in my address 😖😖😖.

Prob the most annoying part of all this Apple's walled-garden moments. I don't want to sink any of my time into Metal knowing that it's a proprietary Apple-Only graphics API. So I utilize MoltenVK to port my Vulkan code over. A lot of it generally just works! I got vkblam working pretty trivially as well as vkfetch and qCheck and even some of my After Effects plugins and more! It's genuinely pretty exciting to revisit a bunch of old projects to dust off the code base with some of my newer patterns and practices, modernize it a bit, and see it running to some capacity on some new foreign hardware. It's fun!

My GitHub has been poppin lately due to these latest pushes, but I'm sure the "can it run doom"-honeymoon bit of getting all my projects working on something new and quirky will die off soon and it will just be another axis of headaches and frustrations just as much as any other platform.

Anyways if you're one of the people that use my After Effects plugins be on the look-out for a big "Works on Apple Silicon" update after I do some more validation and fixes.

Love ur sundown au!!! May I ask how powerful is SD!Macaque in comparison to SD!Wukong and the SD!brotherhood and C!Versions? I wanted to ask because I can only imagine he meets C!Mac and just gawks that C!Mac is in equal grounds to C!Wukong in battle. And how the brotherhood and SD!Wukong would react when he casually tells them he once took on Ao Guang and his kingdom alone (and won) just to find Wukong and Mk.

Also cue SD!Wukong being a little love struck at this version of Macaque who is just more villainous and little bit more sly and flirty. And C!Wukong being like, "You didn't kill Ao Guang did you!?"

And C!Mac just being, "Well, I mean... Did you ever see him again? Hehe."

"Macaque!"

And the SD!Brotherhood just being shocked and appreciating a little bit more that SD!Macaque isn't as openly murderous as the other one is.

Also just SD!Wukong and C!Wukong having different reactions to C!Mac being more violent & Murderous than SD!Mac is a hilarious thought:

Honestly sd!Macaque is the same in terms of power as his canon counterpart. His status tho is just a bit lower than sd!Wukong as he is just the empress (tho don't get me wrong he still holds a lot of power than most beings). But sd!Macaque isn't as sly and villainous as c!Macaque so I can see sd!Wukong having more reasons to fall for Macaque again
