currently watching: currently figuring out what to watch after finishing g-witch, i kinda meme watched dc titans cus my classmate played young dick grayson, rn in thinking either revue starlight or watching the anime adaptation of hourou musuko

currently reading: Travelogue XVII by bellmare on ao3 >> its lappland bumping into mostima all over terra and them getting local eats. also im rereading nettaigyo wa yuki no kogareru (a tropical fish yearns for snow) by hagino makoto >> its aquarium club girls slowburn [is it yuri? yes]

current obsession: fire emblem. my dad got a switch and i started playing three houses like 3 years after it came out and i whipped out awakening as well so yeah. i would also say gacha games, but im trying to lower the time i spend on each, i dont want to be making ice cubes all the time... im already spending like 2-3 hours a day on them but rn i am playing: honkai star rail, sdorica, arknights, prosekai (AAAA 300 PULLS FOR SPORTS DAY ENA WHYYY), prosekai again but in korean (ty painful hope haruka for coming home in 70 pulls) and also playing league :( i am having fun tho, building arlan on hsr has been something interesting to do, and occupies my time while i figure out what im doing for the next year in terms of school

Day #12: Konatsu x Koyuki (A Tropical Fish Yearns for Snow) ≈ canon (aka pending)

I’ve got two words for you: slow burn. This manga is the biggest tease that I have ever seen. The author knows everyone ships the main characters and sees beyond their “friendship” into a long, drawn out romance story. These two obviously have feelings for each other but are unsure as how to best express it. I mean have you seen the angst Konatsu expresses for like eight (hundred) chapters consecutively? No one experiences that much angst over a mere friendship, right? They’ve had so many chances to confess, but no... the author continues to be a troll and continue building the suspense (hopefully to lead to the greatest slow burn in history). So I’m basically past the point of calling it a ship and will refer to it as canon because living in denial is the only option here. But I digress. I absolutely love these two together and think that they balance each other perfectly. Konatsu enables Koyuki to break out of her shell, and Koyuki delivers her from loneliness (well she’s also partially the cause...). I just hope they will one day acknowledge their feelings and make it official.

'A Tropical Fish Yearns For Snow' continues to be dramatic and full of longing emotion - the two girls are separated by various events and continue to miss each other desperately, while still not really being able to express how much they mean to each other. It's kind of odd that I keep hearing that this isn't intended/ending up as a romantic pairing, because they're _so_ into each other, to the exclusion of everyone else - even as they talk about wanting to be able to be friends with people, we see them putting off their peers for another chance to be together. Ah well; it's cute and full of melodrama, and with two adorably overwrought introverts.
