In 1985 Mike Kelley photographed images in a Rothko catalogue and printed them extra purple, for reasons involving drama, blood, the Rothko Chapel, art world reverence, and the Shroud of Turin.

Elton John's set of the photos, titled More Tragic! More Plangent!...More Purple! is selling in Feb 2024 at Christie's. He had it in his Atlanta condo. Johns's edition is up top, seen without the frames, or the janky keystoning that was part of Kelley's whole point. So I also included the image, framed, from Sotheby's, which sold another set from the edition in 2022.

Amos Shepherd (they/them) is a Derse-dreaming Thief of Mind. They have constant unsupervised accessed to power tools and the world is a worse place for it. They're allergic to sincerity and kind of a bastard. Their parents are largely absent, constantly both at work. They're my character!

Gaby Kelley (she/her) is a Derse-dreaming Sylph of Space. She lives in a marsh and has a more than healthy appreciation for all its inhabitants, sometimes preserving and pinning cool bugs. She's also immune to rabies. She belongs to @librius

Mark Romeski (he/him) is a Derse-dreaming Knight of Heart. He's a bit emo and wears fake vampire fangs all the time. His hair isn't naturally light, it's actually bleached. He keeps the molts from his pet tarantula like baby pictures, it's really cute. He belongs to @carbonatedsalt

Mara Naylan (he/she/they) is a Prospit-dreaming Seer of Doom. He's also very stressed on account of the prophecies of doom and attempting to avoid them. She has a knack for electronics and has a pet exercise wheel that she can use for electricity. They live with their MOM. They belong to @momotech764

Finn Morris (he/him) is a Prospit-dreaming Heir of Hope. He loves gardening and is rather chipper, which contrasts a bit with his fascination with the human vascular system. He also lives with his aunt! He belongs to @thecansces-ariborn

It's September 2021 and the Spirit travels across the country to play the Thorns. After two years of not stepping foot on the streets of Portland, Emily is forced back in the same manner she was forced to leave. As the wheels touch down in the state of Oregon and the bus rolls down the familiar city streets, it all becomes too much. (Un)lucky for her, Kelley is right there with her.

This has been gathering dust in my folders for about two years now, finally found a reason to both finish and post it. Hope you’ll like it!

Since I based my TMAGP!Gerry and Needles off their voice actors, I figured I’d do the same for the main cast. Subject to change of course, but I’ve really come around to loving these freaks.

Like are we going to just not acknowledge how he took the Netherlands from being World Cup runner ups to tanking their program so hard that they fired him right before a World Cup, he didn't just show up at the Spirit for no reason, the slimeball needed a job he was unemployed

When he traded Sonnett I was pissed, Kelley left, and then he took the armband away from Andi, the words, I don't have any, it's on site motherfucker because those players built this team for you. The Spirit is Sulli and Sulli is the Spirit.

Connection Description:

Jasmine was raised in a Dark Magic Coven in Boston, MA as a dark magic prodigy. Her father Silas Chamberlain created the Dark Coven as an off-the-record organization that operated against the Official Lunar Cove Coven and ended up turning himself into human prison in order to avoid dealing with the repercussions of the Council. But, still operates behind bars.

Your character is someone who is currently working for Silas. They could be a witch who was or still is a part of the Dark Coven who knew Jasmine growing up or your character could be a criminal (this would work for any species) who does odd tasks for Silas now and again (whether because they have been blackmailed into it, owe Silas themselves, or another reason). But, either way, they know of Jasmine’s existence and have come to Lunar Cove to monitor Jasmine and be there to make sure Jasmine follows through on the favor she owes her father when Silas comes to collect it. But, until then, they can live out their life as normal in LC. 

I could also imagine Jasmine not wanting anyone to know they know each other when your character comes to town and your character putting a rift into the fresh start Jasmine has been trying to create for herself since moving to Lunar Cove.

Would Also have a connection to the Reeds given that Silas is their dad.

We will be bringing Silas in as a temp villain at some point to which your character could interact with their ‘boss’.
