ABOUT ME:
My name is Natasha Gillott. I currently work for MyHOUSE Sports Gear- which is a top 10 ranked wrestling company that offers custom team gear to athletic teams & clubs worldwide. My role here is Graphic Designer & Content Creator for all Marketing purposes. I create email blasts for special deals, social posts, social reels, printed flyers, coupons, coach bundle booklets and much more. I constructed their 2023 catalog and am constantly reforming and revising the website homepage to keep up with the latest advertisements. On top of digital graphics, I am the MyHOUSE Photographer and Videographer. My day to day tasks are to capture images of new custom gear and MyHOUSE gear for online stock. Throughout the year, I attend events and State Championship competitions where I continue to market the brand, socialize with coaches & players, and photograph our merchandise. Prior to MyHOUSE, I worked at Modsy- a virtual interior design company who creates realistic renders of a clients exact space through their own software platform. My educational background consisted of 6 years at Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania for Interior Architecture and Design where I achieved my MIA (Masters in Interior Architecture) degree after previously graduating in May 2019 with a Bachelors of Interior Architecture and Design degree. I highly enjoyed working on adaptive reuse projects where the historical properties of a site can remain and be repurposed. While at Modsy, I enjoyed meeting with clients to help bring their dream residential projects to life while using popular vendors. Being able to meet one-on-one virtually with clients all over the U.S really helped me face the reality aspect of design. It also expands my creativity in interior design by exploring different aesthetics & styles of design. While still in school, I was a member of IIDA and have a compassion for community and volunteering work. I was a founding host of A Students Perspective where Marywood students have the opportunity to represent students all over the country and interview top designers, manufacturers, and trend influencers to learn about the design industry. As employment during my masters program, I was the graphics Graduate Assistant in the marketing department at Marywood University, where I promoted graphics and art for social media and events campus wide. Adobe programs were always fun to play with during studios, but learning the professional way to document graphics and present artwork was an amazing lesson to learn over those two years. As an overall growth since college, I find myself to be comfortably proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Wordpress, Social Marketing, and Photography in a professional workplace. I am looking forward to learning much more!

It’s finally that time of the year… HERE COMES SUMMER. But, before I get to far ahead of myself I want to show you my last but definitely one of my favorite projects of the semester.
As a class we got to meet up with a few interior architecture students here at Marywood, to create a brochure for them. The brochure was to be designed based on their preferences and their chair design, that was displayed at the May First Friday show, in downtown Scranton, PA.
I choose a chair that was a modern rustic style. I really liked the way it looked and I was excited to get designing based off the architecture, Courtney Mackrell, style.
Here is her chair brochure:

This was a lot of fun because, I decided to do some hands on designing for this. I used plywood for the cover and back and a metal ring to keep it all together. I especially enjoyed this project because I clearly was not even sure how to approach it, so I get to spend sometime with my dad cutting and staining to create one of my favorite projects I ever did.
Maci, graphic design, designed a 3D brochure for an interior architecture student in "Chair Brochure" #MarywoodArt It's finally that time of the year... HERE COMES SUMMER. But, before I get to far ahead of myself I want to show you my last but definitely one of my favorite projects of the semester.
