Is this maybe the mystery kid with Sonia and Rarua? They look nothing like Mineru unless it's her concept art, but I haven't seen any concepts of her yet.

On the weekend of April 26th, I'll be in Chicago for the annual C2E2 convention setting up at the NATIONAL CARTOONISTS SOCIETY booth! This will be my first time in Chicago, and I am super excited! I will, of course, have copies of the Finding Dee trade paperbacks and more with me, but I wanted to do something... special for the show. And I wanted to have something with a sketch cover, as I love those. As such, I came up with THIS!!! It's a new, 40-page, FULL COLOR comic collecting all of the homages and parodies I've done over the last few years such as this strip homaging Jim Davis' GARFIELD! (Seen here in COLOR for the book for the first time! Woot!) And for the cover, I wanted it to be an homage onto itself, and so did it goofing on the old "Marvel Masterworks" covers that I used to love back in the late 80s. They had covers similar to this, with a really cool, embossed, gold-foil border around images of the classic covers of the comics collected within. For THIS, it seemed like the PERFECT way to frame a blank area for custom sketches! For NOW, this book will be exclusive to my convention and/or in-store appearances, but if there's a demand, it may pop up in other stuff later. I'm really happy with how it came out, and if you're gonna be in Chicago this April, I hope to see you at the show!

The scrapped festival to celebrate the defeat of Calamity Ganon is interesting to me because I agree with the sentiment that pre Calamity Link would have hated it and there is strong indications that TotK Link is not big on fame either, possibly as much as hating it from remembering what it was like from the age of 12 on.
But! As a Zelink shipper, I have to be ok with him eventually being prince consort. So in my mind (and my story Worth the Spotlight) he eventually grows out of feeling like he is responsible for how people feel and can handle fame better.
It made me think of other times I’ve thrown my OC Links parties.
In Hero, he enjoys the party because he spent his life up to that point being mocked and bullied and now he’s getting well earned recognition. But then in the sequel I gave him trauma. He would not enjoy another party because it would feel undeserved by then.
In No More, he ends up getting a ceremony in which he pulls the sword and is quite ceremoniously acknowledged as the Hero. He would have hated it and fought it so he was drugged (forcibly) into a stupor for it.
In All That Hurt Us, there’s a Hero’s Day once a year. He hates it because of imposter syndrome and paranoia that his village making a big deal will give away his location.
Anyway, I find it fun to think of how various Links would react.

Some of the books I’ve enjoyed this year. Not doing bad for a dyslexic aphasic. SF Masterworks do a pretty good job with their selection. I’ve only found a few that are a real drudge or just plain unpleasant. GA Masterworks seem to be picking up the scraps, but they do have a lot of Clarke I hadn’t previously read. Been reading a lot of short stories too, trying to build up my attention span from effectively zero.

Masterworks: What Is It?
With an interest in art and a desire to further diversify our financial portfolio, my wife and I looked into Masterworks. With banks failing, crypto teetering and conventional investments underperforming, we wanted to have a small piece of a different pie. There aren’t good analytics, like with stock purchases or business ventures, but one thing seems clear, the price of art continues to climb.
Whether its due to tax havens, conspicuous consumption, or simply valuing original art, the art world has become more and more attractive to us. That being said, we are not people who can drop large sums of money on a Rembrandt and hang it on our wall. However, we can buy a fraction of a painting that is up for auction and that’s precisely what Masterworks provides.
Masterworks is a platform that allows investors to buy and sell shares of high-end artwork, with the goal of capturing the potential financial returns of investing in the art market. The idea behind Masterworks is to make investing in art more accessible to a wider range of investors, who may not have the financial means or expertise to purchase and manage a collection of fine art.
Investing in masterworks can be an attractive option for investors seeking to diversify their portfolio and potentially achieve high returns. Historically, fine art has been a valuable asset class, with prices for the most sought-after works often reaching into the millions or even billions of dollars. Investing in masterworks can offer the potential for capital appreciation, as well as the added benefit of owning a tangible, physical asset.
However, investing in masterworks also comes with certain risks and challenges. One of the main risks is the potential for market volatility, as the value of artwork can fluctuate based on factors such as supply and demand, economic conditions, and changes in tastes and trends. Additionally, investing in masterworks can be a relatively illiquid investment, meaning that it may be difficult to quickly sell shares of a particular work of art if needed.
Despite these risks, some investors may find investing in masterworks to be an attractive option due to the potential for high returns, the diversification benefits, and the aesthetic appeal of owning a piece of high-end artwork. It is important, however, to carefully consider the risks involved and to consult with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

"To Play"
A collage I did in my adv drawing course last semester. Focused around the evolution of avant-garde art periods post the introduction of photography. The idea of mixing and playing with images of master works and was the initial concept with my whole attraction to collage is the artists ability to manipulate found imagery to fit the desired effect and needs.

I have a unique once in a lifetime opportunity, but I need your help. I am in contact with several Museums and University Libraries that I would like to collaborate with, but of course first they want to see what's in my books - I have 20 hand made books, and I need to get them and photograph the hundreds of pages for their review. The problem is that the books are currently in storage in Albuquerque and I'm in Denver. 33 years of work needs to be seen, and major museums of the world are going to take a look, but I need to send them images. Additionally, my art archive is in the same storage unit, which I will be able to retrieve and use to set up my living trust. Any donations are appreciated to help me pay for a flight to Albuquerque and a moving truck and gas to get all my artwork here to Denver. #artistsarchive #handmadebooks #masterworks #bodyofwork #lifeswork #leybaesque #mixedmedia #artistsbooks #burroughs #hrgiger #lydialunch #joecoleman #occultartist #eroticcommunity #artistslegacy #indianartists #beadwork #radicalart #politicalart #eroticart #poppyzbrite #clivebarker #famousartist #masterartist #supportartists #politicalart (at Denver, Colorado) https://www.instagram.com/p/CmNjjfCrEOI/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

[Ballet] An Afternoon That Somehow Feels Good
Ariel McCarty and Artists of Colorado Ballet in George Balanchine’s Rubies / Photos by Andrew Fassbender   (Denver, CO = Won Jeong) Sunlight streaming through the window woke me up. It was a little past noon. As I twisted on the bed, contemplating whether to sleep a little longer, I glanced at the clock on the shelf. And then, I remembered the Colorado Ballet’s MasterWorks. I had three pieces of…

The Artist and His Muse
I used to find looking at historical painted portraits to be a rather tiresome exercise. So many interchangeable faces in stuffy suits, uniforms and frilly dresses. But having the good fortune of living in the UK, where most museum entrances are free, I have had the opportunity to re-evaluate my initial misgivings. I began to appreciate the subtle hints of personality and genius brought to life…

Sitting in the bathtube, writing how my day was. Just did some workout. Muscles. Lifting weights. Listening during the day to quality selfhelp content by @realmrlocario @coach_magic_resurration @tribeofmenyt , Mark Felton, Far from weak, english language southpark character compilation best ofs, Mr. Mackey, Mr. Garrison, etc. laying on my studio couch, relaxing my mind. Enjoying after 23 years the for the first time a clean, Brooke’s, minimalistic studio, space. Watched Twitter how the knifing and blade-ing of Germans are getting the normal. Had the radio on. A female friend stayed over night. Reflected a lot. Wrote a few postings here on Insta. Getting used to having so much art hanging from me in my rooms. Studying, reflecting how it steers my through process, my well-being. Later when I sold it to customers for investing, it will influence there lifes. People underestimate the power from art. The implict power. Real happy digging so deep in to Redpill mgtow content. It makes the societal leftwing socialist tactics, the control, censorship from state/ public media ( tv,,radio ) almost like political comedy,if it would such a sad situation. My art makes wealthy people being entertained, distracted, keeping the cognitive dissonance and self illusions with in balance. #SEAK #ClausWinkler #SEAKClausWinkler #collectingfromwealth #masterworks #educateyoureye #hnw #artprofit #youngcollector #elitegroup #startcollect #artistperspectives #richpeopleflex #richkidsofswitzerland #passionateconnoisseur #classicalart #businessofart #artistoninstagram #collector #investmentart #stakeholders #assetclass #stakeholders #assetclass #curating #paintingconnoisseurs #moderngalleries #collectingart #collectoreverydays #artmuseums #investinart #collectingforprofit (hier: Canton of Nidwalden) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqEQARKo7dz/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
