drove a stupid number of miles today with an injured gas pedal foot so i am not responding to messages tonight like i’d planned—i am the worst combination of tired and cranky rn, my answers would all be either rude or incoherent—but i just wanna say:

I find that this does a spectacular job of jiggling my pears for about an hour or so, without really requiring me to look at it the whole time. I like to run the live chat replay as well, and whenever something wild happens I check how the chat responded as it aired. I probably listen to this 3 or 4 times a week while working.

Maxfun drive always brings this out in me because I also listen to Magic Tavern which recently hit 10 years as well and has also had (imo) rising and falling quality but I would be wayyyyy more likely to do their patreon before I would join the maxfun network because their quality of work is more consistent, the benefits of joining are just better overall, and they’re not actively hostile to their listener base (especially the non-donating listener base lol)

@javelin-woman it's not letting me tag you in the replies but thank you for the suggestion I'm definitely adding it to my list! (not least of which bc I went to look up the episode list and saw they did recap episodes before the finale?? a story podcast that will actually recap things instead of expecting me to remember everything on my own?? we don't all of my podcasts do this)

Still looking for podcast recs, specifically

infodump-y shows where someone goes into great detail on a different topic per episode (and not the maxfun style 'we're just friends having a themed hang sesh for an hour and no one's editing this'. favorites I've listened to before were Gimlet's Surprisingly Awesome and Every Little Thing, and NPR's Invisibilia)

stories and audio drama, especially not horror, especially with a short enough season I can listen on a 9 hour car drive, especially with good enough sound mixing/leveling that I can hear it while driving (like unto Life/After. The Message etc, Penumbra, Bright Sessions)

oh shoot wait, does anyone have any good road trip podcast recs?

specifically well-produced infodump-y podcasts. wanna listen to someone go into a lot of detail on a topic, don't wanna listen to some friends rambling for 3 hours unedited
