I forgot to post this yesterday 'cause I got home so late from uni 😭
Yesterday was a pretty tiring, but worth it, day of studying since I missed an entire week of class and had to study all of the content from last week's welding technology class + study from a texbook on science and engineering of materials.
Content studied yesterday:
> Stress-Strain of metals under tension, compression, sheer and torsion tests ;
> Stress-Strain graph (elastic and plastic strain, recognization of ductile and brittle materials, points of elastic limit, yielding, ultimate strength and rupture) ;
> General types of welding ;
> Concepts of welding technology .
My welding technology class went great and I was relieved when I found myself following the explanations with ease and being able to participate because of successful studying and absorption of the last class' content through photos of the board that my classmate sent me. I was really scared I would fall behind but I feel pretty confident and intrigued by the subject and engineering in general... I think like I'm finally falling in love with it!

Thursday, June 8th || Finals day 5/7
Trying to push through to my fluids final. The thing about having an exam on the last day of the year is that most of my friends are already home, and campus is weirdly empty. It’s kinda peaceful though.
Really looking forward to moving out of my dorm and into my house tomorrow afternoon.

Thermodynamics and Its Relevance to Mechanical Engineering
There are so many colleges but Arya College of Engineering & I.T. is the best college in Jaipur Rajasthan which provides information about thermodynamics it is a fundamental branch of mechanical engineering that deals with the principles governing energy, heat, and work. It is essential for understanding how energy is transformed and utilized in various systems, making it a cornerstone of mechanical engineering applications. This exploration of thermodynamics will cover its basic principles, laws, applications, and significance in mechanical engineering.
Fundamental Principles of Thermodynamics
Thermodynamics is primarily concerned with the relationships between heat and other forms of energy. It is governed by several key laws:
1.         Zeroth Law of Thermodynamics: This law establishes the concept of temperature and thermal equilibrium. It states that if two systems are in thermal equilibrium with a third system, they are also in thermal equilibrium with each other.
2.         First Law of Thermodynamics: Often referred to as the law of energy conservation, it states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. Mathematically, it can be expressed as:
ΔU=Q−WΔU=Q−W
where ΔUΔU is the change in internal energy, QQ is the heat added to the system, and WW is the work done by the system.
3.         Second Law of Thermodynamics: This law introduces the concept of entropy, indicating that energy transformations are not 100% efficient and that heat cannot spontaneously flow from a colder to a hotter object. It establishes the direction of natural processes and the limits of energy conversion.
4.         Third Law of Thermodynamics: This law states that as a system approaches absolute zero, its entropy approaches a constant, usually zero. It provides a basis for defining absolute entropy.
Applications of Thermodynamics in Mechanical Engineering
Thermodynamics principles are applied in various areas of mechanical engineering, including:
1.         Power Generation: Thermodynamics is crucial in the design and analysis of power plants, such as steam power plants, gas turbines, and internal combustion engines. It helps optimize the efficiency of energy conversion processes.
2.         Refrigeration and Air Conditioning: The principles of thermodynamics are used to design and analyze refrigeration and air conditioning systems, ensuring efficient heat transfer and maintaining desired temperatures.
3.         Fluid Mechanics: Thermodynamics is closely related to fluid mechanics, as it helps understand the behavior of fluids under different conditions, such as pressure and temperature changes.
4.         Heat Transfer: Thermodynamics provides the foundation for understanding heat transfer mechanisms, including conduction, convection, and radiation, which are essential in the design of heat exchangers, boilers, and other thermal systems.
5.         Combustion: Thermodynamics is used to analyze combustion processes, which are crucial in the design of internal combustion engines, gas turbines, and other systems that rely on burning fuels.
Significance of Thermodynamics in Mechanical Engineering
Thermodynamics is a fundamental aspect of mechanical engineering for several reasons:
1.         It provides a framework for understanding energy transformations: Thermodynamics helps engineers analyze and optimize the conversion of energy from one form to another, ensuring efficient and effective systems.
2.         It enables the design of thermal systems: Thermodynamics is essential in designing and analyzing thermal systems, such as power plants, refrigeration units, and HVAC systems, ensuring their proper functioning and efficiency.
3.         It helps in material selection: Thermodynamics provides insights into the behavior of materials under different conditions, allowing engineers to select appropriate materials for specific applications.
4.         It contributes to sustainability: By understanding the principles of energy conversion and the limitations imposed by the laws of thermodynamics, engineers can design more sustainable and environmentally friendly systems.
In conclusion, thermodynamics is a crucial aspect of mechanical engineering, providing a fundamental understanding of energy transformations and enabling the design of efficient and effective systems. Its applications span various domains, from power generation to refrigeration and air conditioning, making it an essential tool for mechanical engineers in their pursuit of innovation and progress.

What do yam and Martin have to fight about 🥺
yam, being a certified rascal with very strong beliefs about respect and lifestyle choices, often gets in trouble with authority for "perceived bad attitudes" (their words) and it gives jmart (martin especially) huge headaches. Amyas loves learning but HATES school with their whole meagre 190 pounds of meat body, so this happens often.
As such, the biggest fight theyve ever had is them telling Martin that no, they wont get debt nor let them get debt for a stupid piece of cartboard that says theyre a rocket scientist or whatever. Yes, even though they could get a sports schoolarship. Yes, even thought school is nothing like college. Theyre stubborn like that

MCFLY JULY ‘24 — all-nighter.
SEPTEMBER 19, 1984
Junior year wouldn’t be so bad, Marty thinks, if everyone would quit breathing down his neck about how this is the year that really counts. This is the year that everyone would be looking at and scrutinizing, the deciding factor in the life-or-death coin toss for the rest of his life.
His future.
Which is why he’s desperately trying to give a shit about something he normally could not care less about.
But if anyone could help him care, it’s @doctorbrown .
“What the hell does calculating the area of a graph have to do with speed?!”
…well. Even Doc can only do so much.
“You don’t actually use this stuff, do ya, Doc? I mean the graphs and junk, not like… velocity and acceleration and whatever. I get that. But this has gotta be the most convoluted…”
Marty sighs, jogging his leg, knotting his hand tighter in his hair.
“I know I’m pretty dumb, but this is next-level stupid.”
It’s gonna be a long night.

i'm your best nightmare [agent carter college au]
inspired by this post & i'm tagging @redvanillabee because i need more michaeljack in my life
: :
There's a man he doesn't know talking to Peggy when Michael gets back with their drinks. He gives the fellow a semi-automatic once-over: designer jeans, a rugby that's never seen a rugby pitch, and loafers with no socks. Typical preppy American university boy. Michael slides in next to Peggy and hands over her whiskey sour, which she takes without looking.
"This is my brother," she says. "Michael, this is Jack. We're in a class together." The implication, from her tone, being that she had hoped that they would never meet outside of that class. Jack does not acknowledge the introduction with even a glance.
"C'mon, it'll b'fun," he says - slurs, really. He's much too drunk to be hitting on Michael's little sister, or really to be doing anything other than sitting down and drinking water. Michael takes a slug from his own ale. "A lotta the other law students'll b'there."
"Not interested," Peggy says firmly.
Jack ponders that for an inebriated moment. "Is't okay if I ask your brother?" he asks, finally. Michael straightens up, surprised to be pulled into the conversation.
"Sure," she says.
Michael is transfixed as Jack turns to him. His eyes are a little bloodshot and they're definitely not tracking properly, but they are placed in a face that is - well, he's cute. And Michael has a track record of liking arrogant little maladjusted pricks.
Jack opens his mouth, then closes it. He sighs. "No," he says, shaking his head mournfully. "I am not drunk enough t'go for a dude. But," he points a finger in Michael's face, getting uncomfortably close to his nose, "You look like an angel."
Michael doesn't know what his face is doing. Peggy snorts.
"A'right," Jack says. He clasps both of them on the shoulder and dips his head forward. "I'll see you 'round, Carter. Carters." The plural seems to confuse him for a beat, then he recovers. "Adios, auf Wiedersehen, aloha!" He blows one of them - it's unclear which one - a kiss and stumbles away, narrowly missing the doorframe as he goes.
"Oh, Peggy," Michael says, watching him go. "I want one."
"You'd only break him," Peggy says, and takes a sip of her drink.

18.08.23
Hi!! Today I am very happy and tired. We went to mechanical lab today and had to cut out a metal piece out of the steel square they provided us. With Hack Saw, Bench Wise, hammer and dot punch and other thing I made this. Well, it didn't quite turn out that proportionate but it was such an adrenaline rush work, and I got so happy by just doing it.
I spoke to few more boys of my class who love F1 too and worked with them during my lab classes. And apparently our teacher started grading us in our first class itself...smh. since wasn't that good I might be graded 8/10.
Later today I revised few topics of physics since I have a small recruitment test tomorrow at 10am. Wish me luck 🤞🙏
