Heavy gets cards from his mother and sisters.

Dell has a wealth of stories about his family, even if he and Fred aren't as close as they were when he was a child, he still gets letters from relatives too. He goes out to visit them when he can.

Even Spy, who's life is shrouded in mystery, has his fair share of romantic pursuits outside of work (and inside of work).

Tavish and Mick get calls from their mothers, Scout does too, occasionally interrupted by the aforementioned Spy asking to be put on with her (the answer is always a very angry "GET LOST").

And Soldier always has someone to call, whether they want to hear from him or not (Merasmus does not understand how he keeps getting his number).

The Medic is handed the receiver one day, they're moving out to an area in a complete dead zone, better let your loved ones know. He stands at the phone, wondering who he would even call, finger hovering over the buttons. Eventually he puts the receiver back.

There's only really one other mercenary he notices is the same way, never receiving cards or calls, never seeming to send anything out either. He couldn't imagine it would be easy to make calls through that gas mask.

Well, Herr Pyro, maybe we could spend our day off together?

If I get into BattleTech I'm thinking of naming my lance or company or group or whatever something like Desperate Measures as a name that sounds like mercenaries you'd call in when things get bad "desperate times call for desperate measures" but are actually named that because they're bad pilots and you'd have to be very desperate to hire them.

I don't know what colour scheme to go with for the mechs though. Any suggestions? Keeping in mind that I've never painted miniatures before
