in Megamind vs The Doom Syndicate and Megamind Rules, he is active in the community and works hard to amend the mistakes he’s made over the years.
The best part? He’s not perfect. He makes A LOT of mistakes. He kinda sucks at being a hero, but it’s all these flaws that actually what makes him so relatable. We all make mistakes but owning up to those mistakes, learning, and working to be better, is what makes us human.
Even though Megamind is an alien, I like to think that’s he’s probably the Most Human out of everyone in the show. Perhaps because he’s always been on the outside looking in? Observing and learning? I don’t know. But it’s nice to think about.
I like that megamind pretty much answers the question of "What would happen if the villain did actually win?" Because if remember that movie, after megamind "supposedly" kills metro man, and takes over the city, he gets bored, because his only purpose for being a supervillain is now gone. He has nothing left, and it reminds of that comic where batman dies, and joker cannot be the joker without batman, and joker just becomes a normap dude with a boring job.

There's one way to make your electronic product very popular: make it tiny. Now, you might be doubting me, and that's okay. You were probably raised in an era where giant TVs were desired by those gathering for "The Big Game," and so the size, the communal experience, the authoritative largeness over all your friends, is what matters. And yet: look at a tiny TV, a really small one, and tell me you don't want it. You can't.
For years, this demand for small devices made sense: they're more portable. Smallness also reflects technological superiority, such as the Nipponese miracle of miniaturization, or the weird racist dude who invented the transistor out of his employees' tears. In the future, though, portability is everywhere, and yet we still all – all of us, don't you lie to me – crave a nine-inch black-and-white cathode-ray-tube television hanging in the bowels of our post-apocalyptic recreational vehicles. There has to be something else to their lasting appeal than just the convenience factor.
And there is. These devices are cute. They work their way into our hearts the same way that baby animals do. We want to stack them next to the full-size TVs, and take a picture, and label that picture something like "my television and his son." This probably isn't news to you. Holographic metamind statistics indicate that 99% of the people who read this article give pet names to their obsolete technology products (I don't judge, but maybe also you should adopt a cat.)
All this is to say, don't feel guilty about rescuing any obsolete piece of teeny-tiny hardware that you find at a Value Village, Invaluable Invillage, or Screaming Void That Consumes All Microplastics Which Once Had Worth To Our Society. Just as long as it's not too big.

I’m not hungry or thirsty. I’ve released all my doves. Say something that nobody’s heard of.
The world is divided into people who will buckle, and people who will ascend. Every day the mechanisms are weeding them out.
It’s called Indigo Consciousness. A kosmocentric stage of human consciousness. First, we begin to sense the divine in all things: all people, animals, plants, even inanimate objects. In a similar vein, our compassion becomes cosmocentric: we feel an affiliation and fellowship with all of life. Finally, we can cherish the humanity of all people, regardless of how different their ways are to ours.
Here we begin to drop our identification with the body-mind, seeing beyond the illusion that we are a separate person that lives behind the eyes and inside our head. We tune into a broader, wider sense of self that is beyond thought and physicality.

Then comes the metamind, overmind, and supermind. We are only just beginning to wake up.
2025 is the year of Indigo Consciousness. The supersoul remembering itself.

Thingy №2 - Pilot and their Anima/Metamind. Considering using the name "There are no Angels here" for the project.
[LOADING HIKARU_COMBAT_LOG_03092315_3.mmr] 100%[####################] [BEGIN PLAYBACK AT 03:17] You barely avoid the missile, rolling behind a collapsed building. Just a second more to reload... LEFT OF YOU. CORPORATE. "Thanks." you respond, looking at the Angel that's found you. Dodging away, you finish reloading your Pulse MG. WE ARE SURROUNDED. LET ME HANDLE IT. "I can't just rely on you every time. I need to be able to-" LIGHT SYSTEM DAMAGE. "I need to be able to hold my own." More fire. It was an ambush. As your Angel glides through the air, you know Ayre's right. You can't do this yourself. RECONSIDERED, HAVE YOU? "Yes." you give in, bracing for the upcoming sensation. A glitch spreads across your vision, and the next second you're even more machine than you already were. You truly... feel the 'body' of Pathfinder. And being the machine is a strange feeling. On one hand- NICE SHOT THERE, AYRE! "It was calculated." On one hand, it's... restricting. You feel as if you're being puppeteered - hell, that's cause you are. But on the other, truly being the Angel feels so... liberating. Being able to actually feel the air as you glide through it, and the recoil of your weapons... "You should do more training if you want to keep up without me in the future, Hikaru." MAYBE. But one thing you can never get used to is hearing her speak your voice - and vice versa. [END PLAYBACK] [FILE NOTES] The name of Hikaru's NHP appears to be a reference to some old media, though it has not been confirmed. Their combat effectiveness without Ayre is below average - likely stemming from an overreliance on it. Further monitoring required.
And yeah, there is a name reference to AC6. You cannot stop me, Batman! previous | next

Recent Comics I've Read Pt. 1 (Marvel-616)
Alright, now that movies and art are out of the way, I can now go into comics. As someone that wants to be a comic writer and artist, I first started getting really into them back in January as a way to study how those writers and artists do them. I technically started reading comics way before as well as having some information on certain story events thanks to Comicstorian (RIP Benny), but now I'm starting to collect them.
Because there are a lot of them, I will just divide the books I've read in parts by company and in alphabetical order.
Starting with main universe Marvel:
Deadpool #1-5 (Ziegler/António): A pretty good series that covers Wade starting his own merc business with Taskmaster and his blood symbiote dog daughter named Princess and trying to be a father to Ellie. Good moments of Wade being a dad to Ellie and Princess, and I really like the coworker relationship between Wade and Tasky. Death Grip is pretty much a death cult leader cliche with an obsession over Wade's healing factor and this isn't the first time Wade had his healing taken from him. I also tried Ziegler's Miles run with #20, but I didn't get into it as much as these DP issues.
Fantastic Four #10, 14-17, 19-20 (North/Fiorelli/Mortarino/Gómez): A nice collection of sci-fi stories featuring the four in some way. Highlights goes to the two-parter with Metamind's creation, sentience, and slow cruel death in 14 and 15, the noir-style story in 19 which I enjoy as a massive noir fan, and 20 being my favorite in showing the relationship between Johnny and Ben as well as having my favorite cover by Alex Ross. I have #23 now since I skipped 21 and 22 since they're tie-ins to Blood Hunt, which is the recent Marvel comic event at the time I'm writing this, and I don't have an interest in it. I am, however, missed a storyline that involve the 4 going into a superhero-dinosaur dimension against Doctor Doom and his variant which is a freaking T. Rex, so I am very disappointed that I didn't get those issues. Maybe when the trades get released, I can get those. If anyone know those issue numbers, I highly appreciate it!
The Spectacular Spider-Men #1-6 (Weisman/Ramos): I am a huge Spider-Man fan since I've seen the first two Raimi films when I was 5 and I have loved him for all I can remember. So, you can imagine the absolute anguish I felt when I heard about his current run by Wells and how horrible the entire run is. However, when I heard that Weisman, who previously made Spectacular Spider-Man, which is an animated Spider-Man series that I highly recommend, I was cautiously optimistic about the whole thing until I got it, and it was great! Definitely felt like a sorta continuation of the series, now with Miles there. I heard there was some problems with pacing mostly with the first issue, but the second issue actually imples about it. I do like how the first arc uses transitionals with Meanwhile... and Now... and how it goes into the plot. I also really liked the villains being some that aren't used as much.
X-Men: From The Ashes #1 (MacKay/ Stegman): I only have the first two volumes of X-Men during the Krakoan era done by Hickman since the only reason I had interest was because of him. However, I'm not sure if I would like the second half since Hickman left X-Men after Inferno, so I missed out on the whole thing, with the only information I got was "Mutant kind had an island nation... and then lost it due to humans (Orchis) and themselves." I'm not sure if that's all of it, but that is what I thought. So, for this post-Krakoa era of X-Men, I enter it with well... X-Men and I've really enjoyed it! The team layout is nice with a combination newer and older mutants and as well as fan favorites. Scott leads as usual, love him. Psylocke and Magik are here and they're pretty cool here. Temper is new to me, but I like her ability to use both fire and ice. Surprisingly, Juggernaut is a member which is strange since to my knowledge, he was never a mutant in the first place, only getting the powers due to the Stone of Ciamarrat, unless they retconned him into being a mutant and that flew out of my radar. Like the friendship between him and Magik. And then there's Quentin Quire aka Kid Omega, he is a shithead... and I love him. I also like the callbacks to the Morrison era, which is nice I'm also reading that in my library. I have #2 now and I hope it'll still be great (especially with Quentin).
Uncanny X-Men: From The Ashes #1 (Simone/Marquez): Also released during the post-Krakoa era, UXM got my attention with Simone writing. I never read anything from her before, with only hearing that DC's Secret Six being one her best works and she did a great job here. At first, the issue gives a fantastical feel that would come from the titles previous years during the Claremont era, until it hits you with an emotional gut punch during the second half (iykyk). The prologue gives a very worrying and haunting feel with Warden Ellis making a mutant prison from the remains of the X Mansion, and with the forced help of a certain psychic mutant, which is even more messed up. I like this more than XM and I can't wait for issue 2.
As for other X titles, Exceptional may have some interest from me, but I never read anything from Eve L. Ewing, although I think they're related to Al Ewing who I know did Immortal Hulk and currently doing Immortal Thor. X-Factor is a mild interest for me since it has Angel, Havok, and Pyro, but I ended up not getting it this week.

Really enjoyed Fantastic Four issue #18 today! It's nice to see the return of Franklin's powers and the reasoning behind it, as well as his complicated past being acknowledged. I think it makes perfect sense with his character and everything he's been through.
Actually, I think the characterisation in the Ryan North run is definitely its strongest aspect. There's lots of really pleasant interactions and everyone gets time to shine and feel like a real family. <3
Sue really went the extra mile to make sure everyone's transport was thematically appropriate for the setting, hell yeah (Reed looks SO proud on his horsie)
I like the conflict with Maria Hill and I'm intrigued about where it goes. She makes a good foil with the pressure and suspicion she puts on them.
Also, that "mitosis" I see in Reed's file... 👀 Could that be foreshadowing to him being able to duplicate himself like The Maker can?

I always thought that ability was REALLY cool, and obviously has a lot of practicality for Reed with his work, similar to the multi-limbs he displayed in the metamind issue. (Also lol, I forgot Maker's duplicates bickered like petty siblings. 😂 such a goofy ass man)
#Fantastic four#Fantastic Four 2022#comic review#also fun with LASERS#I'm not great at writing reviews but I had a lot of fun with this and wanted to make a happy post#Ryan north

Assassin with a Heart of Gold
Name: Admaer Daeneiros (He/Him)
Race: High Elf
Class: Rogue (Assassin)
Background: Criminal
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
Picking up where we left off, we're still on side quest lane as we go to "rescue" the Gnome on the windmill. Due to Wyll's whole story having changed, this no longer involves Wyll having an outburst of anger meeting one of the Goblins and wanting information about the whereabouts of someone they knew. Now, it's just Goblins bullying and tormenting a Gnome for the fun of it. To admit, I kinda miss Wyll having that outburst of anger. But don't worry, there's a cool thing about Wyll that we'll get into later :D.
We also convinced the Ogres to fight for us against the Goblins. In-character, Admaer would most likely do this when his heart and mind is dedicated to helping the Tieflings, but my metamind wanted to get that out of the way before leaving for the Creche. The whole Bugbear & Ogre sex scene was also changed. Now, it's no longer a conscious choice to interrupt them, it's played up as if we accidentally ran into them. Also, you don't get Astarion points for running into them. Not that it's a bad thing, just something to note.
While saving the Gnome, Shadowhearts' injury glowed again as we approached a broken statue of Selune.
When Admaer asked about the injury again, now knowing what the wound is all about, Shadowheart reminded him that she's unsure of its origin and why it reacts the way it does.
Finally, we make it to the Mountain Pass, but we first gotta decide Karlach's fate. Admaer and the gang stumbled across her and the tension was high.
With the parasite within her head, Admaer was able to see and realize that Karlach isn't some rampaging devil, but a Tiefling that was forcefully enlisted into Zariel's army and she was trying to escape when the nautiloid ship arrived in Avernus. Now, considering that Admaer became a bit more forgiving of Astarion and his situation with Cazador, it was only nature that he would extend an olive branch to Karlach (I was kinda hoping Admaer would join Wyll and simply kill her, but then she pulled the "but I was a slave ;A;" card on him)
With that song and dance, the moment the gang went back to camp to rest, Wyll's patron, Mizora, decided to pay us a visit. Because Wyll didn't kill Karlach or sent her back to the Hells, Wyll was forcibly changed to look more devilish.
Admaer, rightfully, got on his ass about his pact with Mizora, especially since Wyll went on a whole tangent about not accepting a bribe from Raphael. Unfortunately, through contract, Wyll cannot express what brought him into this deal with Mizora, but he swears on his life that he never regretted his decsion and his power was always for the good of the people. We'll get back to him another time.
As for Karlach, Admaer agreed to kill the so called "Paladins of Tyr" so that they would get off her back.
Also, love the new animation for the Hold Person spell, homie got caught lackin
With that song & dance dealt with, we finally went to the Mountain Pass proper to meet with the Githyanki. While there, we ran into a Tiefling who was watching the commotion between what seemed to be Flaming Fists and Githyanki.
Upon meeting Lae'zel's people, Admaer already had a bad feeling, especially when they realize that the weapon that they were looking for, and apparently even the Goblins are looking for, involves the mysterious artifact that they carry with them. Admaer signals for Lae'zel to delay telling the truth so that they may bypass the Gith and go to the mountain pass. As they are about to venture there, they are struck with a powerful force, much like how when the tadpole would invade ones mind, but it was much stronger. A voice from on high informing Admaer and his gang that three individuals are their champions and that they want the weapon sent to them. If this is done, they will have a seat in their ranks.
In that same scene, Shadowheart whips out the artifact and it dispels the magic and the powerful influence from them. It is now that we discover that this artifact is of Githyanki origins and Shadowheart had a mission to possess this item and bring it back to someone in Baldur's Gate. But she still refuses to tell the gang her mission, who this contact in Baldur's Gate is, and literally anything that would essentially help them in the long run.
While Admaer is getting fed up with this "just trust me, ok" talk, he unfortunately is too deep in this mess to just let Shadowheart go. Who knows what will happen if she and that artifact are alone as she makes the trek to Baldur's Gate. At least she and the item has the security of safety in numbers. Admaer agrees to let Shadowheart hold on to the artifact and they embark on their journey to the Gith Creche.
...Is what I would say if I wasn't then hit with a "Are you sure you want to leave? Make sure you tie up any loose ends before going" message lmao! So it looks like I'm gonna stay here for a minute!
I still believe Admaer would somewhat want to help the tieflings, but I want there to be a in-world reason for him to do so as he's not the most altruistic person around. I might hang around the Emerald Grove and chat with Karlach for a moment and see if that can spark a bit of "shit, I guess I give a shit" within Admaer.
Before we end this chapter with Admaer, I want to talk about some cute Astarion & Karlach moments.
Admaer had a cute moment with Astarion where Admaer gives his "soon-to-be-lover" a glimpse of what he looks like now.
With Karlach, Admaer sent her over to Dammon after discovering a piece of Infernal Iron. Karlach's Infernal Engine is running hot and there's a chance it will not only harm those around her, but herself as well. While Tieflings are typically resistant to fire, Hells fire can and will prove to be too much. Thankfully, they were able to upgrade her engine so that she might not have to rely on Soul Coins for too long, but the heat is still a major problem. when we find Dammon in Baldur's Gate, perhaps he'll have a solution in mind.
Also, god fucking damnit Larian, they made Dammon just too damn hot in this full release XD
Also, now Admaer & Astarion are matching :D
