♡ Mezo Shoji ♡

- I’m pretty sure that you wouldn’t even have to tell this man that you’re sick honestly, he seems like the type that would want to check up on you fairly frequently so when he calls you and hears the tone of your voice he’s immediately like “You’re sick. Relax and get comfortable, I’m coming over to take care of you” and heads straight to your dorm

- And take care of you he does, this boy refuses to let you lift a finger while he’s around and will do absolutely anything you ask of him (and even things you don’t, because he can tell what you need even when you don’t want to tell him because you don’t want him to work himself too hard)

- And no matter how much you insist that you’re fine and that he doesn’t need to do so much for you, he won’t listen and will insist that it’s no trouble for him to take care of his partner while they’re sick, and that he knows you’d do the same for him

- Of course, he’ll never do anything you don’t want him to. If you’re too nauseous to eat he won’t make food, and if you just want to sleep and be alone for a while, then he’ll wait in the common room and let you have your peace and quiet to rest

- But he won’t let you shoo him off just because you’re afraid of burdening him, he insists he’s happy to help you with whatever you may need no matter what it may be

- Need to eat something? He’ll prepare any meal from scratch that you want, making sure it’ll be easy on your stomach. Throwing up? He’ll hold your hair for you if it’s long enough to get in the way, and he’ll rub your back and help you through it as best as he can. Out of pain meds? He’ll head out to the store no matter how late it is

- His dupli-arms actually make it quite easy for him to take care of you, as they allow him to get multiple tasks done at once (brewing a nice cup of tea for your throat while also cooking you a meal, for example) and he’s never far from you for more than a few minutes at a time while you're sick

- His quirk also makes him really good at massages, so if your body is sore from the sickness he will happily massage you wherever you need, for as long as you need until you feel better

- He also does not care at all about getting sick, you’re more important to him and he will happily catch your illness if it means taking care of you and cuddling you until you fall into a restless sleep

- This boy is so good with his words when it comes to you, so even if you come to him crying and miserable because you just feel so ill and can’t do anything without feeling horrible, he knows exactly what to say to soothe your cries as he holds you while still validating your feelings

- Overall Shoji is a very patient, doting lover when you’re sick, and he’s exactly the kind of boyfriend you’d want by your side through your illness as he’d comfort you and get you feeling better in no time <3

♡ Eijiro Kirishima ♡

- Kiri is the type of boyfriend to get so sad when you tell him how unwell you’re feeling :( 

- It breaks his heart to see you in that much pain, and even if you try and sugarcoat things and make it seem like you’re not that sick, he’ll see straight through you and insist that he’d be by your side even if it were nothing more than a small cold

- He’s quick to cancel all his plans for the next few days, insistent on being at your beck and call while you’re suffering like this. Even if all you want is some time to relax and rest by yourself for a while, he wants to make sure he’s free and with your notifications turned up on his phone just in case some kind of emergency happens or you need him for any reason

- Now, Kirishima’s actually been working on improving his cooking skills lately by convincing Bakugo to give him some pointers and watching his angry friend when he does cook, so he’s able to make you the perfect food to ease your stomach!

- Homemade soup has actually become one of his specialties, so he’s more than happy to make you some delicious food to help keep you as healthy as possible during this time <3

- He’s also big on giving you massages whenever you mention how sore your body feels. He’s gentle and puts pressure on all the right places to help ease your pain, and he’s more than willing to give them as often as you want! He even suggests it if he can tell you’re hurting but you don’t want to say anything

Kiri's always found hydration very important due to his rigorous workout routine, so while you're sick he makes sure you're drinking enough water to keep your body hydrated. You're already suffering enough as is, don't need to add dehydration into the mix (especially if you're having trouble keeping food down)

- He’s another one who doesn’t shy away from cuddles and even kisses in the slightest, he doesn’t care about the risk of catching your sickness

- He’s lucky enough to have a really good immune system and rarely ever gets sick, but even without that he just can’t resist the urge to hold and kiss you whenever you hold your arms out for him <3 He loves you so much, he will literally never say no to physical affection of any kind with you

- If you start overthinking or telling him how you feel bad relying on him so much for help, he immediately shuts you down with a sweet kiss and some enthusiastic words of support and encouragement

- “Babe, don’t be silly! There’s nothing wrong with asking for help when you need it, it takes a brave person to get through feeling this terrible! You’re doing awesome and I love taking care of you like this, it’s literally my job as your boyfriend to look after you in times like this! So don’t let your mind tell you anything different, I love you and I wanna help!”

- He’s just the absolute sweetest and is willing to be whatever you need during your sickness, and all he asks in return is more kisses and cuddles when you’re up to it and feeling better :>

♡ Tamaki Amajiki ♡

- I hate to say it, but Tamaki would 100% be the overthinking, hovering boyfriend if he found out you were even just coming down with a small cold, so he is incredibly stressed when he finds out just how sick you are this time around

- He immediately begins to hover over your every move, constantly asking how you’re doing, if you need anything, if you’ve eaten or drank enough water, if you’re going to die-

- Safe to say his stress and anxiety have a tendency to get the better of him in these situations, and he admittedly can be a bit overwhelming when you first come down with such a miserable sickness when he realizes just how debilitated you are

- Inevitably, though, you reach a breaking point and ask him as calmly as you can in your unwell state to ease up on all the questions and constant fretting, as your mind simply doesn’t have the energy in your current state and his panic is only serving to make you stressed on top of everything else

- He really is a good boyfriend, though, so he’s quick to do as you ask and eases up a lot on the questioning and constantly hovering over everything you do, even if he is still worried about your health

- Once he’s stopped spiraling, he will notice without you needing to verbally tell him when you want some time to yourself to just rest vs. when you need to be held and taken care of, he’s incredibly perceptive due to his heightened anxiety so it’s easy to adapt to your ever-changing needs

- He is still prone to comforting you with cuddles if you’re open to it, though. Of course he’ll give you space without question if you ask, but in holding you, he can feel you - can feel that you’re still doing okay - and that comforts him as he comforts you

- And whenever you want him near you, he’ll wrap his arms around you and rub your back soothingly as he tells you how sorry he is that you’re in so much pain and how he wishes he could take it all on for you

- And if you’re feeling insecure or like a “burden” of any kind he’ll reassure you that he’s more than happy to take care of you, and that you deserve help and care when you’re feeling so ill. You don’t have to be strong in times like this

- Tamaki has a huge collection of tea since it helps with his anxiety quite a bit, he has every flavor imaginable and plenty of choices including decaf. So when you’re sick you will have your pick of the crop as he’s more than happy to share whatever you need. Rest assured, your throat will be soothed with warm herbal tea as long as your boyfriend’s around lol

- And even though social situations usually make him anxious, he’ll do anything you need while you’re sick. He knows it makes you feel nauseous to even stand up, so he’s more than willing to go out and order food for you or whatever you need even if the thought makes him internally want to shrivel up and crumble, because he loves you more than he fears others <3

- Tamaki may be a bit overwhelming at first when you get sick, but once he gets past that hurdle he will go above and beyond to get you well as soon as possible, he values you more than anything else and just wants to get rid of your pain as soon as possible :]

I haveth returned after a long time since my Shoji phase is back. Yay :)

Ok so I was thinking abt the panel where Shoji said that his parents didn't have arms like his, meaning that they did not have such strong heteromorphic traits like him. Now we know the town he grew up in was a terrible place for heteromorphs. We also know that Uraraka is the only person in 1A who is really suffering from poverty. All these facts together show me personally that his parents really did not love this boy too much. They could have moved away from that village and Shoji would not have been almost killed in a "blood cleansing" because he had touched that little girl SAVING HER. They clearly decided to stay there, regardless of the way their son was being treated. The poor kid. He went trough all that and did what a whole mob and especially Spinner did not have the strenght to do: He chose the path of a hero. I find Shoji so incredibly strong for all of that.

So this is where my new hc comes in: So 1. Fukuoka is basically on the other side of the country from UA. 2. Shoji has nothing in his dorm room. What if the boy had to rent a room somewhere in Tokyo and could not take anything with him because of that? We know that he took the futon because beds don't really work with his body. But nothing else, seriously?

If the dorms were already equipped with stuff before, Shoji might not want anything because he could have been taught that people like him (heteromorphs) do not deserve any of that or something. Another hc of mine is that the boy only had a very small room as a child. (Harry Potter under the stairs style) and that space never let him have anything but a bed. Otherwise he would have felt claustrophobic with his arms needing space and him not getting that.

I think of his way too much but the stuff we know about him now just gives me so many ideas. :)

But you do have to worry about two little doting mother hens that are freaking out a the sight of you

Instantly, the two of them are going to be identifying every single injury on your body

Sure, you’re standing and you’re smiling, telling them not to worry but they know the truth

When your assessment is done, Mezo is gonna be quick to scoop you up in your arms and hold you in his lap while Tenya grabs the first aid kit

Don’t even bother trying to tell them you’re alright- Mezo is already on the phone with the closest nearby hero clinic to see if they can get you in pronto

At the same time, Tenya is already wrapping up the literal knife wound you didn’t immediately tell them about, scolding you for traveling alone late at night

Naturally, both of their hearts are going to melt when you shyly explained that you only did it because you wanted to see them <3

But that’s no excuse! The boys love you too much to see you hurt like this

☆Tokoyami sleeps either with the ceiling light on or with several nightlights otherwise dark shadow doesn't let him sleep

☆dark shadow makes fun of tokoyami pretty much constantly but in a joking way

☆tokoyami can hear dark shadow when he isn't visible, they can hear each other's thoughts and feel each other's feelings

☆sometimes when he's lonely or sad tokoyami will bring out dark shadow to talk to, the first time the people in his hall heard him doing this they thought he was going crazy &talking to himself but nope! just talking to his funky little bird guy!

☆ tokoyami and dark shadow also do chores together and cook together and they make some of the best food like it almost rivals bakugos cooking. almost.

☆tokoyami goes by he/they pronouns but doesn't really care and dark shadow goes by they/them and will correct you the moment you mess up

☆tokoyami has accidentally called hawks "dad" and niether dark shadow nor hawks has let him live it down and they never will

☆tokoyami can vibe with almost any group and he hangs out with both the baku and deku squads but from those squads he's made his own little group and it consists of Kyoka Jiro, Denki Kamminari, Tsuyu Asui, and- while he didn't come from either of the groups, Mezo Shoji

☆ when I say tokoyami fumikage can vibe with almost anyone I mean anyone- the ua staff, pro heros, little kids, a group of rats they found on the side of the road, the league of villians, a.n.y.o.n.e

☆tokoyami is great with kids especially little kids like kids ten and under chances are if they could eat at a restaurant for free, they love tokoyami and tokoyami loves them

☆birds either really hate tokoyami or absolutely love him. no in between

☆ he cleans or cooks to de-stress. like if his room is completely clean or there's a fresh sheet of cookies, he has been stressed out recently

☆he loves shiny things a̶n̶d̶ h̶a̶s̶ a̶ c̶r̶u̶s̶h̶ o̶n̶ y̶u̶g̶a̶ a̶o̶y̶a̶m̶a̶ due to his love of shiny things he a) went through a huge crystal phase and b) has a small pile of shinies in the corner of his room

Hi, I was wondering if it's cool to make a request that's kind of in tandem with your Mortem Omega idea? If not, please disregard.

If it is okay, then I wanted to request HCs for a mortem omega bonding with Shoji. Like, her violent urges have lessened, but she's still generally adverse to alphas. Skittish at best, potentially aggressive at worst. Shoji is the exception to this. Perhaps it's because his mask dulls his scent a little so she was able to get used to it slowly, or because he's big but quiet and gentle, or because he just has a generally comforting aura, or, most likely, a combination of these factors. Ultimately, mr "I'm used to people being scared of me" is ironically the only one that she isn't scared of in the least.

As a fan of Mezo myself I love this. I will absolutely write this

i feel like in order to really build a relationship with this man, you have to work in an academic field, not necessarily in his area, but something close (probably the history of art)

it took him a lot of time and building up courage to ask you out on a date, 'cause you had this aura around you that told men not to mess with you; you were, after all, a smart woman. Smarter than a lot of other professionals at Harvard, in Robert's opinion

since the early stages of your relationship, he always tried to ask for your opinion on things, even consulting with you about bits of his book. that alone was something you never experienced before; those idiots you dated before had hard time with accepting the fact that you were known really well in academic field

also, he's a simp for you, okay

you could do whatever, and he'll support you and will brag about your success

your schedules are working extremely good together. the only time you were barely seeing each other was when you were writing your doctorate

Robert convinced you to go swimming with him at least once a week. it was hard at first, but in a month or so you started to actually like it

Not likely.

While I'm thankful we finally got to see some of Mezo's past, I do find a lot of comfort in these characters that make up his "hc" family. Hell, we've had years of speculating and making our own stories so I don't blame anyone for ultimately preferring their own headcanons at this point and keeps expanding on them. I certainly do.

It doesn't mean I reject what's canon though, yet I don't think his parents are ever going to get mentioned again, let alone revealed at this point.

So Ulima-ma in all her four-armed glory is here to stay 💕

♡ Thank you! I've been doing a bit better recently, so let's hope that translates over to the post! This is a rather classic pairing to me, so I'm more than happy to give it a go! ^w^

♡ In the case of regressors being bigger than their caregivers, no one can really outmatch Mezo. He really latched onto the shortest boy in his class and said this is his CG.

♡ Really though, Shoji latched onto Tokoyami so easily because they've been through a lot together during their time at UA. There's understanding and trust with Tokoyami that Shoji couldn't think of asking for from anyone else.

♡ Tokoyami can understand his hesitance towards regression due to his size and rather imposing appearance, as well as gently work him down into it with the promise that he is not afraid of Shoji. In his mind he feels that it would have been the other way around since the events at Summer camp.

♡ Fortunately, this is very much NOT the case! Mezo thinks that Fumikage is–for lack of a better word in the prince of darkness' opinion‐adorable. So much so that when he's at the younger end of the spectrum, he simply picks Fumikage up and carries him around.

♡ Fumikage is able to handle Mezo from one to seven, but does find it easier to manage him at his older ages.

♡ You can reason with a seven year old. You cannot reason with a two year old that carries you around like a beloved toy.

♡ But, even still, with the bond that they have, Fumikage can easily read Mezo's body language even when he's too small for–or just not up to–speaking. The way he stiffens up when he's anxious, how his pupils round out when he's excited, the way he chuffs like a tiger when someone compliments him, these little things mean as much as spoken words as far as Fumikage is concerned!

♡ And they make him wonder how anyone could genuinely fear Shoji.

♡ Fumikage is like a big brother figure for Mezo! So he usually just calls him "Fumi". Dark Shadow, however, is affectionately called "Sneaky" because it likes to act cheeky when Fumikage isn't looking.

♡ One of Mezo's first pieces of regression gear was actually from Fumikage! It was a navy blue, silicone teether in the shape of a starfish that he loves almost as much as Clump the octopus. He is very gentle with chewing on it because he always takes extremely good care of gifts.

♡ Bonus Headcanon: Tokoyami is the supreme lord of reading and telling stories. He has this dramatic flare with words, knows what sort of inflection and tone characters need, and knows when and where to pause... Because he was a theater kid in middle school. :3c

♡ Mezo loves Fumikage with all his heart and tries to show him as much whenever he can, however he can. And the feeling is decidedly mutual.
