Meet The Backup Detectives!

Soo y'know that mickey mouse movie idea that I had? I've decided to try to make that an AU of mine!

Detectives AU? Pretty much that. This drawing is more of the concept of what their outfits would be like, I'm still unsure about the name "The Backup Detectives" but we'll see

And this is one of those times they took my bike because they are in a hurry to catch the case. I should make a comic that came to this picture here. Well, they are lucky that I had my bike out to buy a new helmet that fits me better both in size and style.

And poor Donald is worried because he lost his hat to the wind and is very afraid they might return to me with a broken bike. With Oswald’s luck, it’s very unlikely, but with Donald’s luck cancelling it, they still have a 40% chance they’ll end up with my broken bike.

If you want me to make a full colour picture with shading, I will…. It’ll take me longer but at least I’ve got their bases for that, saving my time 😉. @thebackupdetectives

Mickey’s body froze, his demeanor growing more nervous as he sank back into the chair.

“Why yes, I… I d-“

“Care to remind me of what it was?" The CEO kept his gaze on the window, his voice gaining a sense of authority.

The mouse grew silent, his eyes looking straight at the CEO, whose back was still turned to him.

“Uh, okay." He cleared his throat, raising a hand to his head.

"In exchange for all of the toons’ safety and well-being in the real world, I, Michel Theodore Francois D. Mouse, pledge my full loyalty to -"

“- the Walt Disney Corporation.” The CEO finished Mickey’s sentence for him, causing the mouse to grow silent once more.

He could feel his heartbeat grow faster, his expression growing more uneasy. He knew it was a mistake, but what else could he have done? It all happened so fast. Too fast.

Here’s my take on Oswald the lucky rabbit, his name is Orson Rabbit and he’s Michael’s best friend/lover,radio comedian and film star . Also Orson is a closeted homosexual. As he only has a girlfriend to avoid accusations of being gay. As their relationship is platonic. Also his girlfriend (who is based on Ortensia) is his love interest in his films and his pushed as a couple by the Lindsay Brothers (guess who they are) marketing team.

I was going to draw this into digital but someone I know who’s quite a chatterbox sent me some valentines invites so yeah. Have this traditional one for now instead🥲

And yes, Oswald tasted Ortensia and Daisy’s cake that is simply amazing! It’s rose flavoured (do roses actually taste delicious or is this a terrible Valentine’s flavour?) and loved his sweet darling’s cooking!

I remembered how I participated in Mickey and Minnie Week. In addition to the AUs that I tried to implement (Stories from Mouseton, AU with Manon), I decided to illustrate Mouses from my other AUs (Fantasia Valley and The Little Keeper). And today another idea has appeared - the AU Brave Little Tailor with the participation of Oswald.

May I present this concept au idea:

MICKEY MOUSE CRUISEHOUSE 🚢!

The main cast lives in Mickey’s luxurious cruise ship and he takes his guests and customers all over the world.

I’m thinking that this will be like a tv or comic series. It is a mix of reminiscents of Mickey Mouse clubhouse, funhouse and the House of Mouse, all in a new setting.
