bad love ; eddie munson
eddie munson x fem!reader
Tumblr media
summary: eddie and you broke up for a simple reason. eddie’s life-goals didn’t work out, but yours did. five years later, robin tells eddie that them & the others have been added to a guest list for a surprise show in indiana. now eddie has to decide if it was a mistake to go.
warnings: celebrity!reader , mentions of drugs, slightly toxic!eddie , angsty , this is my first fic so please work with me here i’m not good with warnings
word count: 2.4K
nat’s notes: the song that the reader sings about eddie is bad love by lita ford. listen to the full song & you’ll kinda see how she felt about eddie after their breakup HAHA. like i said this is my first fic on here so not only am i nervous but i am having a hard time laying this out LMAO. i know reader doesn’t do much BUT if we want a part two after the show where everyone goes to hang out with her after the show (& maybe we get to see why eddie & her broke up??) LET ME KNOW. nonetheless, enjoy!!
Eddie Munson had this big plan.
Get the hell out of Hawkins, move to California, and become a rock sensation. Groupies at every show. Drugs piling tour buses. Paparazzi, interviews, photoshoots, you name it, Eddie wanted it. He wanted to make music. To scream his lungs out into a microphone while thousands of people cheered him on below. He wanted to bask in stadium lights while girls cheered his name. He wanted to give a big fat middle finger to Hawkins and all the people in that shithole that ever doubted him.
But that was five years ago. That was when he still had a dream. An unrealistic one.
25 years old and Eddie Munson was no longer one to make big plans. He stayed in Hawkins, moving to another trailer only down the street from his uncle, and became a mechanic. Because apparently, fixing cars was all he was good at after Corroded Coffin fell to shit. Nobody else seemed to share his dream when college came around. Or girls, weddings, and kids. Everyone seemed to sink into their cozy and easy mediocre lives. Everyone seemed to be happy, or content at the least.
Eddie hated it.
He hated Hawkins. He hated the people in Hawkins. He hated how every time he went to the grocery store he’d bitterly see couples like Steve Harrington and his fiance going on their similar grocery trips. Or Nancy and Jonathan Byers, a small boy on the Byers’s hip while Nancy’s hand was on her growing stomach. Or even young Max Mayfield and Lucas Sinclair, who usually only stopped by to get snacks for the weekly movie night they had. He hated how when he met up with high school buddies they all talked about their successful lives. Dustin Henderson had a successful job and managed to bring Suzie to Hawkins. Mike Wheeler was in college, breezing through it. Gareth Emerson had a wife and now a baby on the way, despite only being in his early 20s. Eddie hated hearing how happy everyone was because he was miserable.
And that magazine on the table was a reminder.
A VOGUE rested on Steve Harrington’s coffee table. From his fiance, likely. On the cover, a girl with familiar features with colorful lipstick that complimented her skin tone. White lace collar peaks from the bottom of the photo. She was beautiful. Just as beautiful as she was five years ago. Her sparkling eyes that made his heart swoon, and her sultry look that made his pants tighten as if he imagined it in real-time.
Y/N L/N.
He remembered her perfectly. How could he not? The two of them were soulmates. At least he thought they were. They had a big plan. Get the hell out of Hawkins, move to California, and become the hottest couple in Hollywood. But Eddie didn’t get that far. No. But she did. She didn’t have a band holding her back. She didn’t have a trailer-park salary. She came from a good neighborhood and a half-decent family. Most importantly, she was sweet and charming. She swooned a big manager when she stayed in Nashville the summer after graduation. Shortly after, she was moving there to become a star. And a star she was. Her name decked in lights. Her face was on every magazine. Award shows, celebrity best friends. She made it. She had gotten the life she craved. The life Eddie craved.
And she left him in the dust.
Okay, so maybe it wasn’t like that. At all. But Eddie didn’t care. He hated how she seemingly left him behind when all he wanted was for her to stay. It was selfish. But once again, Eddie didn’t care.
“Is that Y/N?” Dustin audibly gasped as he reached for the magazine, pulling it to his face to inspect. “Holy shit! VOGUE!”
Max Mayfield snatched it from his hands. “She looks hot.” She stated bluntly.
Mike scoffed. “Y/N was always hot. Lucas had a huge crush on her when we were, like, twelve.” He bluntly replied.
“She smashed a demo-dog’s head in with a guitar! Hell yeah, I had a crush on her.”
Robin Buckley, who was on the couch with Eddie, ate from a bowl of popcorn. “I got a call from Y/N recently.” She hummed casually. Everyone, especially Eddie, snapped their heads in her direction.
Steve gawked at his best friend. “What? Why?” He sat in his armchair, leaning into the side as he tried to get closer to Robin.
“She’s having a surprise show, I guess. The five-year anniversary of her first album.” Robin explained as she waved her popcorn-filled hand. “She was making a guest list, and we all just happen to be on it.” Everyone in the room bursted into excited cheers. Dustin and Lucas high-fiving loudly while Mike and Will shared big smiles. Max looked back at the magazine with wide eyes, as if wondering if the girl she looked up to growing up was going to climb out of the glossy paper.
Eddie didn’t move. He looked at Robin with wide eyes and disheveled hair. His mind wasn’t there anymore. It was back to the last night he saw her. The glossy tears in her eyes. The hoarse tone of her voice. His rough shouts. The redness of his face from anger. The door slammed as she left to pursue the life she now has.
“When’s the show?” Nancy asked, unsure if she’d be able to make it when her baby would be due in a few weeks.
“Next weekend!” Robin gushed. “Y/N’s manager said they’d have everything sorted out. Nancy, you’ll be backstage with Jonathan while the rest of us are front-row barricades for the show. And then we’ll be able to see her right after the concert ends.” She rambled and talked fast, but seemingly everyone understood what she was saying. Eleven was bouncing in her spot excitedly. She hadn’t been to a concert before.
Steve looked over Robin’s shoulder, seeing Eddie’s worried gaze. He craned his neck, maneuvering himself in an uncomfortable manner to catch the Munson’s eyes. When he did, Eddie was brought back to planet earth. Blinking repeatedly, Eddie looked at his close friend with raised brows. A silent what’s up?
“You don’t have to go if you don’t want to.” He informed Eddie. This time, everyone’s eyes went to their metalhead friend. He shifted uncomfortably under their eyes. His skin felt hot and his stomach was churning. What was he feeling? Nerves? Anger? Jealousy? Heartbreak? All of the above?
Eddie gave an unconvincing smile. After all, everyone assumed they had ended things on good terms. He shook his head quickly. “Are you kidding me? I’ll never say no to a concert.” He chimed cockily, earning snickers from his friends as they began to excitedly chatter about their upcoming show. Eddie sunk into the couch slightly. What could go wrong?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
It was a mistake coming here, Eddie thought. But it was too late now.
Here he was, crowded by hundreds of people that had heard of this supposedly last minute show in Indiana to celebrate the fifth anniversary of her first album, titled Most Wanted. The irony, Eddie thought. He recalled when Hawkins had believed that not only he had killed Chrissy Cunningham, but that Y/N L/N had helped him after Jason Carver had gotten his ass kicked by her. She had been on the run from the police for two days before the others found her again.
Eddie hadn’t listened to much of the album. He heard the single that had come out, which was basically a female rock anthem that Max and Eleven loved. It was a good one, but Eddie knew that. He had been there when she wrote it.
Somehow, Eddie hadn’t really thought about what would happen when he saw Y/N in person for the first time in five years. He had seen magazine photos of her. Just two days ago, there was a paparazzi shot of her in New York City. She was wearing light-washed jeans, a faded T-shirt, a large leather trench coat, black boots, and dark cat-eye sunglasses. She looked like a star, even in photos as simple as that.
So when the lights shined and she was suddenly ten feet away, Eddie forgot how to breathe.
She was wearing leather pants and boots. A white tank top she had cut the end off to make it her preferred length. Her makeup was dark and glamorous, and her hair was styled perfectly. She looked ethereal. She basked in the warm stage lights and it was light whatever higher power there was knew exactly how special she was. Eddie wasn’t much of a religious man, but he thanked god that there was a girl as beautiful as her.
The first note of the opening had sent the crowd into overdrive. It was the song Eddie knew. Max and Eleven screamed excitedly, bouncing up and down as they began to scream the words. Her voice. God, her voice was everything to him. Something that used to send him to sleep while he rested his head on her chest. Of course, in those times it was softer. This was strong. Powerful. The world finally got to hear the powerhouse she was the way Eddie used to when they sang in his van. And every time she spoke he felt his heart break a little more. It was slightly different now. She maybe had a slight southern accent from living in Nashville for five years, but her tone was different now, too. She was bolder, louder, and more sure of herself. The insecure girl was completely gone.
He wasn’t even jealous anymore. He was just sad. Sad that his only memories of this girl he had been in love with for so long were nothing more than that. Memories. That he no longer got to hear her song ideas. Her sweet hums in the shower. He no longer got to see her tiredly roll out of bed and trip over her feet. He never got to see her dance the same way she was now but in his t-shirt. Eddie no longer got to wrap his arms around her. He no longer saw her beam up at him when he came to her doorstep with flowers.
What had gone wrong?
“I have one more song for the night.” She panted into the microphone as the crowd screamed. Seemingly over two hours had past before Eddie could even realize it. “Are you having fun?” Eddie flinched as Robin, Eleven, and Max screeched loudly while Steve, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will all let out cheers and whoops. Her smile widened. Eddie could’ve sworn he didn’t remember her smile being that beautiful. “Okay, so I wrote this song a little bit after I moved to Nashville. I wrote it in a time where I was moving on from a chapter of my life.” I had broken up with my boyfriend and I was finally getting to a stage where I stopped blaming myself, is what she didn’t say. “And, well, this song is about that.” Everyone cheered. Eddie thought about the few songs he knew, but this one wasn’t coming to mind. “This is called Bad Love.”
As the guitar began, everyone cheered again. Eleven and Max began talking into Mike’s eyes, and Eddie couldn’t help but notice their eyes on him. Eddie looked back at the stage. For a moment he could’ve sworn her eyes were on him.
wake up now darling, i got a reason to believe this love ain't gonna last the night.
you've opened my eyes, now i'm a little bit wiser, a little bit colder.
Eddie felt his heart sink. He watched her singing. Her eyes screwed shut or looked out into the crowd. But never at him. She wouldn’t look at him. He knew what this song was about. He knew it as soon as the first words were said.
so stop what you're saying, it's more than i can take.
we've reached the end, there's no defense.
i had enough of this bad, bad, love.
Funny enough, Dustin was screaming the words to the song as if he personally related to it. It caused Lucas and Mike to stare at him questioningly, meanwhile, Will joined in with just as much enthusiasm. Steve was smiling like a proud brother, which was pretty accurate considering his and Y/N’s friendship.
don't fool yourself, i could never forgive you and i damn sure won't forget.
in heaven or hell, every tear that i’ve cried will come back to haunt you yet.
don't be surprised if one of these mornings bad luck comes knockin' at your door.
oh, no, you'll find out–
“hell hath no fury like this woman that you've scorned!” Dustin and Will screamed as they leaned into each other. Max, Eleven, and Robin doing something very similar.
Y/N was walking across the stage to the far corner, interacting with the people up front as she sang. She looked beautiful. Completely in her element. She walked back towards the center, lights basking in her beauty. This was what she was made to do, and Eddie could tell. She was meant to perform and put her life into music. Turn chapters of her life into songs. Even her and him.
stop, don't say it.
don't try to make me see.
we've reached the end, there's no defense.
Then she looked at him. The first time she had the entire concert. It was as if time froze and the two of them were the only people in the world. They were teenagers again. They were the same people that had screamed and fought and kissed and made up. They were in love again, and then they were slamming the door on their relationship. Eddie knew it then, but he knew it more now, that he was the one that slammed that door. He was jealous. He was bitter. And he had taken it out on the one person that cared. Because of that, she was standing on stage singing a song she wrote about him after she realized the same thing.
“i had enough of this bad, bad, love.”

Idle thoughts for the historical royalty au it turns out I want to read, but can’t be bothered to write.
This is a fairly young or small kingdom. Early Plantagenets but less established.
Steve’s mom is more in the category of Eleanor of Aquitaine. She’s off in her own lands trying to fix the mess that the King made. The King forbade her taking Steve with her and they both have other lovers. Steve’s mom had several failed pregnancies when he was young, and at least one or two siblings that died too young for him to really remember.
The King is fighting yet another push against Not-France. Has been gone for at least two years, will be gone at least one more. Left his advisors and council in place, and gave Steve very little authority. He’s basically Henry the first. Except he’s Richard
Most of the important Lords and families left the capital when the King did, either to go on campaign, or back to their own homes. The adults who remain are either greedy and manipulative or too low ranked to have another option. Lots of the children of families are left there as good faith
Nancy and Barb are the daughters of nobility, not known for their social standing. Carol and Tommy are trying very hard to get/stay in Steve’s favor so they can elevate their and their families’ status. Joyce got elevated to a role like a chatelaine because the prior died while the king was gone. Hopper is Captain of the Guard.
Magic exists if you ask the right person, but in any official sense or statement there is science, religion, and blasphemous rumors.
El is for sure somewhere in the changeling shade of things. But in the sense that she got stolen, lived with the Unseelie Court, and escaped. Because he is the reason I am in this fandom; El follows the sound of music and laughter and finds Eddie.
Eddie lives with his uncle, who was in the last war, took an arrow to the knee and can’t serve again. Does odd jobs and repairs things for people. Eddie is supposed to be apprenticing as a scribe, but hates writing down ledgers of how much the Lords spend and how much they tax. It’s doomed from the start. But, it means he’s the rare example of a poor kid in the city who can read and write. He makes spare money telling stories, writing down and using bits of histories and rumors he hears while apprenticing. And because he travels from the town up to the court, he’s also doing a bit of unofficial trade.
Lucas helps at the stables. Mike wants to be a knight, but was too young to go with the king to war. Younger kids went, but the Wheelers are just noblé enough that he didn’t. Only son privileges. Will was sick as a kid, so he’s seen as kind of a ‘what’s the point’ but he learned to read a little, then spent so long sick he taught himself more.
Dustin flits around the court and castle, bullying people into explaining things to him. He has learned many things, and is still a little genius, but his reading is kinda self taught so he can’t always say why he’s right beyond saying that he is. Claudia came with the Queens court but stayed after the Queen left again. She’s in a weird important-but-not-noble position. Steve adores her because she was around more than his mom.
Actually. Yeah. Dial up the magic a little. The King conquered the region and stomped out most of the hedge-witch type folks. Also pissed off some of the more powerful ones as they fled. But the big piece is that he broke A Thing™ that served to hold the worlds separate. That was a least 15 years ago. The leak is slow/irs been getting worse.
Lucas’s family isn’t nobility, but they’re wealthier than some of the nobles. He’s the personable son with a fondness for horses, racing, hunts, etc.
Max and family moved to Hawkins and something something, Max is now working at a smithy. It’s not what she should be doing, but she’s really good at it. Also: horseshoes gets us LuMax.
Maybe the Hargrove were noble, mayfields weren’t. Lord Hargrove went to war, Billy has been there too, and the second you look away from max she’s back to doing what she wants.
Murray is something like a hedgewitch.
The Russians become some of the conquered people, looking for an opportunity to reclaim and lacking that: a chance to fuck things up for Hawkins.
Creel is def a kid from wayyy long ago, who got conned by the fae, but spent so long there that he’s got magic of his own, and a love/hate with a humans.

Operation Demogorgon
Tumblr media
Eddie Munson x fem!reader
Summary; Eddie Munson might just be slightly obsessed with Y/n L/n...Slightly, as in, he practically stalks you. But in his defense, it started out in your best interest, because you were on Vecna's list.
Warnings; obsessive behavior, obsessive!eddie, pervert!eddie, stalking, stakeout, spying
PART ONE | PART TWO
Tumblr media
Eddie Munson was infatuated with Y/n L/n.
You were all he talked about. In fact, he mentioned you so much, that his friends were starting to think he was obsessed with you.
And he very well was.
Eddie had your weekly schedule memorized. Mondays, you would take her morning walk with your golden retriever, then later that day at 4pm, you would start your shift at the town's arcade. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays you were off of work, but still took your morning walks. Fridays and Saturdays were your busiest days of the week, as your shift at the arcade went from 10am to 9pm on those days. Those days, you took your walks at night after her shift. Sundays were free days as well, and you could be found doing a variety of things with your days off, such as going to the movies or babysitting the Wheelers' youngest daughter, Holly, for extra cash.
Of course, Eddie only knew this all because he practically stalked you.
"Its not stalking." Eddie would say everytime he was accused of it. "Its just observing."
"Yeah," Steve Harrington would respond with a raised eyebrow. "Observing constantly. From alleyways. And crowds. And the park across from her house."
"Very close observing, then."
"Dude, she called the cops on you once."
"Yeah, but only once."
"Munson, you're about one 'coincidental meeting' away from a restraining order."
"Pretty sure she was joking when she threatened that."
"Pretty sure she wasn't."
So yes, Eddie Munson was very obsessed with Y/n L/n.
It had all started out rationally, though.
In 1986, about two months after the "mysterious murders" that took place in Hawkins that year, Max Mayfield expressed her worries to her friends about how she feared an old enemy might be up to no good again, and that you were at the top of his hit list.
Naturally, everyone decided to do everything they could from preventing the horrifying death that would befall you if Max's intuition was true.
They'd started by setting up a watch schedule. Each night a week, you would unknowingly have someone watching your window from across the park across the street from your house. When they decided that wasn't very effective, Will Byers took it upon himself to be useful and applied for a job at the arcade where you worked. It only took about two months for you and Will to build a solid friendship. This was an advancement in your protection, because you just so happened to unintentionally use Will as your therapist. So Will Byers knew all the drama, and all the trauma.
It was around this time that Eddie Munson realized how pretty you were. He'd started volunteering to watch you on the nights he was supposed to be off duty, and he'd started the beginnings of memorizing your weekly schedule.
But after about a year of these attempts in making sure you weren't on Vecnas list of possible murder victims, nothing had changed, and nothing seemed like it was going to change anytime soon.
So, reluctantly, they all agreed to call off the night watches. Eddie however, insisted to himself that they should continue, and so for him, continue they did. This was how he caught several glimpses of you in nothing more than a bra and your pajama pants through his binoculars about three times. This was where the others accusations of Eddie being a stalker originated.
"Its just creepy," Said Billy Hargrove once after the subject had been brought up. "Really creepy. Even I'm not that much of a pervert."
"Billy, you tried to hook up with Mike's mom once," Max had replied to that with crossed arms.
"Its not his fault. He tries to hook up with everyone." Dustin Henderson shrugged.
Mike Wheeler had sat between the three of them with wide eyes and a gaping mouth. "Wait, when did he try to hook up with my mom?!"
So, again, after almost two years, Eddie's infatuation with you had become just slightly more obsessive than he'd intended.
Nancy Wheeler, who was continuously creeped out and annoyed by Eddie's behavior, had urged him multiple times to pluck up the courage to actually ask you out on a date.
"Oh, that's not gonna end well." Will Byers said simply one of the times Nancy brought the suggestion up. "Y/n thinks he's an absolute sycophant. A pervert, really."
Eddie's shoulder's had fallen. "Great."
"You really shouldn't take it personally, Eddie." Will immediately told him. "She doesn't like most people."
"She likes you." Eddie stated, matter of factly.
"Yeah, because I don't stalk her."
Nancy sighed deeply. "Will, I'm sorry, but you really are not helping right now." The younger boy rolled his eyes. "Eddie, watching her all the time isn't going to change anything."
Eddie sighed, and crossed his arms. "Okay, so say I managed to get within ten feet of her. What do I say then? 'Hey, Y/n, sorry I practically stalk you and creep you out. Wanna go out sometime?' "
"Well don't say it like that." Nancy told him. "You could try just casually bringing it up?" She suggested.
Steve scoffed from the other side of the room, where he and Dustin sat together, listening in on the conversation. "It doesn't matter who he does it, she's gonna reject him. He stalks her."
"Yeah, but she doesn't know why." Dustin stated.
Steve glanced over at him, raising an eyebrow. "So? He still stalking her. Chicks don't dig that stuff."
"Well, I'm just saying, if she knew it was for her own protection maybe she wouldn't be so creeped out by him. She'd maybe even like him more, she'd think he's been protecting her all this time."
At Dustin's words, Eddie's head shot up and his eyes widened. He looked to Dustin, who turned to him as well. Both of their faces lit up, as if silently plotting together.
Steve glanced back and forth between the two of them and few times before finally realizing what they were doing. "Wait- no. No. Nope. We are - you are not doing this." Steve said sternly. "We shot that plan down a long time ago!"
"Well...technically we put it in the drafts." Eddie said to Steve. He smirked slightly. "Never in the trash."
"What, no-"
"We're doing this."
Dustin was grinning, and nodded to himself. "Hell yeah." He and Eddie shared a look of excitement. "Operation Demogorgon is a go."
Tumblr media
Friday came quicker than Y/n L/n would have liked.
At nine in the morning, you came grumpily walking out of your car to the arcade, sporting the hideous blue shirt you were forced to wear due to company policy. You did your usual routine of waving at Robin Buckley through the window of the Family Video store just next door, and then pushed your way through the crowd of kids already waiting to get into the arcade for the morning.
What you didn't know was that Eddie Munson and Dustin Henderson were currently watching your every move through pairs of binoculars.
The two of them were in a flowerbed across the parking lot, both of them laying on their stomachs army style and were hiding behind bushes of flowers, peering through them with binoculars.
Eddie sighed, almost sounding irritated. "Why does she have to walk like that?" He asked quietly.
Dustin glanced over at him. "Walk like what?"
"Like she's a goddamn model." Eddie said. "She seriously just struts everywhere, it's insane."
"I don't know, but damn...that ass."
"Right?"
"And you guys wonder why she thinks you're a creep."
Eddie and Dustin turned their heads and looked up, seeing Steve standing behind them with a tired looking expression. Will also accompanied him. Since Steve worked with Robin at the video store next to the Arcade - and he was basically the mom of the group - he would drive Will to and from work when he had shifts.
That morning, the younger boy didn't look his best. His face was slack, and there was noticable dark circles under his eyes. It seemed as though he hadn't gotten much sleep that night before.
Will stared down at his friend and Eddie with a blatant expression. "Why are you on the ground?" He asked.
Dustin turned over to properly face his other friends. "We're trying to be unseen here." He said with a 'duh' tone of voice. "You guys standing here talking to us is gonna blow our cover!" He furrowed his eyebrows, seeing Will's unusually ruffled state. "Are you okay? You look like you have a hangover.
"I didn't know spying on her was part of the plan." Will said quickly, ignoring Dustin's question purposefully.
Eddie sighed as he got to his feet. "Let's get this over with, Byers."
Steve departed from them, muttering to himself about how this plan of their's was going to backfire on them as he walked toward Family Video.
"Alright." Dustin stood up and brushed the dirt off of him. "Operation Demogorgon is now in motion. Let's roll."
Tumblr media
Out of all the jobs you'd worked at, working at the Arcade to have been the most boring one yet. The most the job entailed was arguing with a couple of middle schoolers about how much tokens cost.
Sitting at the counter, you usually sat by yourself and read a book. This particular time, you entertained your boredom with The Hobbit, which you'd read a hundred times before just because you found Bilbo's character so relatable. The only problem with reading in the Arcade was that you became easily distracted by the sound of the door opening. So when you heard the swish of wind from someone entering the building, you looked up from your book to see who it was.
"Henderson, hey!" You greeted with a smile as Dustin walked up to the counter. You closed your book. "What are you doing here?"
"Um, I was with Will, actually." Dustin said, shuffling his feet. "He came in through the back. He told me to come in and tell you that he needed help carrying something."
You furrowed your eyebrows. "Carrying what?"
Dustin shrugged. "Uh, I- I don't know." He said.
You sighed and stood up. "Let me go see." You muttered.
You walked out from behind the counter and towards the backroom. You didn't notice Dustin snatch the key to the backroom off the hook behind the counter and follow you.
As you opened the door and stepped inside the cluttered room, you paused. It was easy to say you hadn't been expecting to find Eddie Munson leaning against an out of order Dragon Slayer game.
As soon as he saw you walk in, Eddie stood up straight and watched you awkwardly. You stared at him, half in shock, half in anger.
"Uh...hey." Eddie said, smiling nervously.
You said nothing, and quickly turned around towards the door, only to find Will standing there with his hand on the doorknob.
"Sorry, Y/n." He said glumly. "I don't react to peer pressure very well. Please don't hate me." With that, he closed the door, took the key from Dustin, and locked you inside.
You cursed to yourself, and grabbed the doorknob, jerking on it aggressively to try to get it to open. Your face was red with anger by now.
"Will! Henderson! Open the damn door!"
There was a faint "No!" from Dustin before you you sighed aggressively and let ho of the handle. Reluctantly, you turned to face Eddie, who stared at you like he was regretting his life's decisions.
"Alright, was is this?" You questioned, and then scoffed. "You know you've got a lot of nerve trying this, Munson. You creep."
Eddie gave his own sigh. "Yeah, well, what if I told you I'm trying to explain why I'm such a creep?"
You narrowed your eyes. "I'd say its gonna be some jackshit excuse."
Eddie leaned back against the broken Dragon Slayer. "It is an excuse, and it is jackshit, but its valid." You gave him an unconvinced expression. "Please, Y/n. Just hear me out.
You stared at the boy in front of you for a moment before sighing and sitting down in a discarded chair against the wall. "Fine." You crossed your arms. "But the rush hour is at eleven, so try and make this quick."
Eddie nodded, crossing his own arms. "Okay. So, a lot of this is gonna sound made up, but I promise you, every word I'm about to say is true."
You raised an eyebrow. "Go on."
"Well...I guess it started back in 1983, when Will went missing."
"When he got lost in the woods?"
Eddie gave a silent laugh. "Yeah...only, he didn't get lost in the woods."
You furrowed your eyebrows and leaned up off the back of your seat, intrigued. "Then what happened to him?"
Eddie paused a moment to process what he was about to say. "Will was taken."
Your eyes widened. "By who?"
"Not by who. By what."
Tumblr media
You didn't really know what to think about it all when Eddie was done speaking. After a moment of silence, you couldn't help but smirk at the boy slightly. A guttural laugh built up in the back of your throat.
"So, Munson," You started, pressing your hands together as you pretended to think. "You're telling me, that there is an alternate dimension of Hawkins beneath us full of monsters, the most powerful of which is planning by untimely, gruesome murder." You raised an eyebrow. "Did I get that right?"
"Yep." Said Eddie, exhaling.
Your smirk grew. "Wow...So, where's the camera? Is Harrington filming this?"
"Wait, what?" Eddie gave you a look of disbelief as he uncrossed his arms. "You think I'm making this up?"
"Well, duh."
From where they stood behind the door either their ears pressed against it, listening in, Will and Dustin exchanged nervous glances.
"Why would I come up with such an elaborate story just to prank you?" Eddie questioned, sounding bothered he wasn't believed.
"I don't know, dude. You play Dungeons and Dragons. I don't question anything you weirdoes do in those brains of yours." You scoffed. Eddie looked utterly defeated. Ticking your eyebrows, you stood up from the chair and checked your watch. "Well, this has been fun Munson, but I've got ten minutes until rush hour, so I'd better be off. I liked your story though, you should turn it into a book." You walked up to the door and banged your fist on it. "Alright, open up, dipshits! We're all done in here."
There was a muffled shuffle, and soon you heard the key turning in the lock. It was opened by Dustin, and you came walking out, sending him and Will a look that said "screw you guys".
"You're on token duty next week, Byers." You snarked as you walked away.
Will groaned. "Shit."
Then him and Dustin turned to Eddie, who was still in the room, only now he looked almost devastated that you didn't believe him. "I think I fucked it up even more." He grumbled.
"Probably." Dustin said.
Eddie sighed, standing up straight. "Well, what else was I supposed to do, Henderson? I told her the truth, she didn't believe me."
"Well, it was a long shot.
"It was your idea, Henderson!"
Dustin rolled his eyes. "Will, why aren't you defending me in this?!" He turned to his friend and then his face fell almost immediately. "Will?"
The other boy was standing almost completely still, besides his head, witch twitched every few seconds. His eyes were glossed over and seemed to be fighting the urge to roll into the back of his head and were fluttering madly.
Eddie's eyes widened as Dustin grabbed his friend's shoulders and started shaking him. "Will? Will, what's happening? Will?! Shit!"
"Its just like Chrissy." Eddie whispered, inching closer.
Dustin looked back at him, fear engraved in his face. "When she-?"
"Yeah."
Dustin looked back at his seizing friend worriedly. "That doesn't make any sense! Will would've told us if he was having visions!"
Then he paused. He though back to their eight grade year, after Will had returned from the Upsidedown, when the Mind-Flayer had control over him. He would do this same thing. But this hadn't happened for years.
Dustin's face paled. "No...this isn't Vecna." He muttered. "This is something else. I've this happen to him before." He looked back at Eddie. "When Will was under the Mind-Flayer's control, he would ho into these trance-like states, just like this. The Mind-Flayer would show him visions of the Upsidedown. This has got to be what it is."
Eddie stared at him. "So how do we stop it?!"
"I don't know."
Before either of them could go into their rightful state of panic, they were interrupted by a loud gasp and a crash. They turned back to Will and found that he had come out of his trance and had collapsed to the floor.
"Oh, Jesus," Eddie muttered as he and Dustin kneeled down in front of Will.
"Will!" Dustin put his hand back on his friend's shaking shoulder. The other boy looked absolutely haunted. It scared Dustin. "Will, what happened? Was it the Mind-Flayer?!"
Will slowly looked up at Dustin. He shook his head. "No..." he took a shakey inhale. "It was him. Vecna."
The other two's eyes widened more.
"Will, what happened?" Eddie said quickly. "What did you see!?"
Will's hand covered his mouth as he sat on the floor, shaking with the after-feeling of relieving his vision-having. He looked up at Eddie, and whispered.
"It's Y/n. She's next.

Five (Max Mayfield x Fem!Byers!Reader) - Chapter 6
Series Masterlist
Main Masterlist
Tumblr media
(Y/n) Byers follows her mother into her childhood home.
(Y/n) looks around, studying the lights on the wall.
Joyce watches as (Y/n) steps over to the wall, running her fingers over the letters 'W' 'I' 'L' 'L'.
(Y/n) turns, trying to find the correct words, "Trying to find Will?"
Joyce nods. "A-are you hungry?" Joyce asks (Y/n), her eyes gleaming with motherly concern.
(Y/n) nods, used to not speaking for the last six years of her life - yes, she did speak, but only when necessary.
. . .
Joyce sits down at the table with her daughter, studying her with wide eyes. (Y/n) was thin, as though she hadn't been given much food, and short, but Joyce supposed with the correct diet - or any food at all - (Y/n) would gain some healthy weight, and probably grow a few inches. Her eyes are the same beautiful (E/c), but now they looked haunted, like she'd face all the horrors of the world and didn't know what to do about it.
"Is there something you'd like," Joyce moves over to the fridge, pulling it open.
(Y/n) turns to study her mother, confusion etching her face.
"Eggs? Toast? Pancakes? Waffles?"
"Eggs and toast," (Y/n) murmurs, and her stomach rumbles loudly. "Please," she adds hastily. She was taught to use her manners, otherwise, there would be . . . punishment.
(Y/n) plays with her fingers, unsure of what to do with her hands. She always had nervous energy and never knew what to do with it.
"Are you okay?" Joyce asks her daughter from the stove, and (Y/n) immediately stills.
"Mmm hmm," (Y/n) replies, and once her mother turns around, her fingers start tapping unconsciously on the table again.
. . .
"I will come back," (Y/n) tells her mother, the (H/c) eyed girl standing with her back to the door. "My friends need me."
Joyce doesn't want to let (Y/n) go, but the seriousness in (Y/n)'s eyes, and the way she holds herself makes Joyce trust her. "Just - just come back soon, okay?"
Joyce steps forward, wrapping her daughter in a tight hug.
The strength of (Y/n)'s hug surprises Joyce, but after a minute, Joyce pulls away, meeting her daughter's gaze.
"Be careful," Joyce tells (Y/n). "I love you."
"I will," (Y/n) replies. "Love you too."
. . .
"How much further?" Lucas asks Dustin. He, (Y/n) - whom he still knew as Five - and Dustin were leading the group, Mike and Eleven behind them.
"I don't know," Dustin replies. "These only tell direction, not distance."
Lucas turns to (Y/n). "You know?"
(Y/n) shakes her head. "I never remember seeing the gate," she replies truthfully.
"You really need to learn more about compasses," Dustin tells Lucas, and (Y/n) laughs.
"I'm just saying," Lucas goes on, and he glances at (Y/n). (Y/n) stops, waiting a moment to let the two boys continue on their own. "How do we know when we get to the gate?"
"Uh, I think a portal to another dimension is going to be pretty obvious," Dustin replies.
Lucas sighs before he turns to study Eleven, who was being a lot quieter than normal. "Do you think she's acting weird?"
Dustin glances back, and first, he thinks Lucas is asking about (Y/n), who had shifted into a golden retriever, bounding along and pouncing on leaves, but then he realizes Lucas is talking about El.
"You're asking me if the weirdo is acting weird?" Dustin asks, addressing Lucas again.
"I mean, weirder than normal?" Lucas questions.
"I don't know," Dustin replies. "Who cares?"
(Y/n) hears a noise, and she stops, Mike and Eleven almost tripping over her at (Y/n)'s sudden stop.
"You never said what I was saying," (Y/n) hears a female voice say.
"What?" A familiar voice replies, not a voice she'd ever heard, but the way the older boy put his words together was familiar.
Eleven couches down beside (Y/n) and Mike calls for Lucas and Dustin to stop.
(Y/n) shifts back into herself, swallowing thickly.
"Hey, are you okay?" Dustin calls back, seeing the worried look on (Y/n)'s face.
(Y/n) simply nods before she gets back to her feet, following along between Lucas and Dustin, and Mike and Eleven.
. . .
When Dustin finally stops, the five kids are standing in what looks to be a junkyard. There are abandoned cars scattered everywhere, piles of sheet metal, and broken toilets and sinks.
"Oh, no," Dustin exclaims.
"'Oh, no'," Lucas echoes. "What's 'Oh, no'?"
"We're headed back home," Dustin replies.
"What?" (Y/n) asks, her eyebrows knitting worriedly.
"Are you sure?" Lucas asks.
"Yeah, I'm sure," Dustin says grimly, looking between his compass and the setting sun. "Setting sun," he points to the sun, slowly sinking below the ridges of the mountains. "We looped right back around."
"And you're just realizing this now?" Lucas asks.
"Why is this all on me?" Dustin retorts.
"Because you're the compass genius!" Lucas snaps back.
"What do yours say?" Dustin questions Lucas, Mike, and (Y/n).
All three point in the direction of 'north', and Lucas sighs.
"Makes no damn sense," Dustin looks bewildered.
"Maybe the gate moved," (Y/n) suggests, though she looks like she doesn't believe the words.
"No, I don't think it's the gate," Dustin replies. "I think it's something else screwing with the compasses."
(Y/n) doesn't want to believe it, but she turns to Eleven.
"Maybe it's something here," Mike offers, looking around.
But then Lucas's gaze falls on Eleven, who is looking a lot more tired, and standing a few feet away from everyone else.
"No, it has to be like a super magnet," Dustin replies, he and Mike still in deep conversation.
"It's not a magnet," Lucas says finally, pointing at Eleven, who was fidgeting nervously. "She's been acting weirder than normal. If she can slam doors with her mind, she can definitely screw up a compass."
"Why would she do that?" Mike yells, and (Y/n) backs up quickly at the anger lashing the boy's tone.
"Because she's trying to sabotage our mission," Lucas replies. "Because she's a traitor," he snaps, and Eleven takes a step backwards.
"Lucas, what are you doing?" Mike asks as Lucas steps closer to Eleven, and (Y/n) can't move any closer, her body frozen with terror.
"You did it, didn't you?" Lucas asks, getting up in Eleven's face. "You don't want us to reach the gate. You don't want us to find Will."
"Lucas, come on, seriously," Mike interrupts, "just leave her alone!"
"Admit it!" Lucas shouts and (Y/n) claps her hands over her ears.
"No," Eleven murmurs.
"Admit it!" Lucas takes another step forward. He grabs Eleven's borrowed jacket and shows everyone the bloody sleeve. "Fresh blood. I knew it," He drops Eleven's arm.
"Lucas, come on!" Mike says.
"I saw her wiping her nose on the tracks!" Lucas retorts. "She was using her powers!"
"Bull! That's old blood," Mike looks between Eleven and Lucas. "Right, El?" Eleven's eyes water and she glances away, meeting (Y/n)'s gaze. "Right, El?"
"It's . . . not . . . it's not safe," Eleven says.
. . .
"What did I tell you?" Lucas stands a foot away from Mike. "She's been playing us from the beginning!" Then he looks over at (Y/n), who was conversing with Eleven in quick, quiet tones. "I bet she has too," He points at (Y/n). (Y/n) stops, turning to look at Lucas.
"That's not true," Mike protests. "They helped us find Will."
"Five found a fake dead body," Lucas argues. "And find Will? Find Will? Where is he, then? Huh? I don't see him." Lucas stomps away, before whipping back around and causing (Y/n) to scramble backwards.
"Yeah, you know what I mean," Mike protests.
"No, I actually don't," Lucas spits. "Just think about it, Mike." He gets back in Mike's face. "They could've just told us where the Upside Down was right away, but they didn't. She," he points at Eleven, "just made us run around like headless chickens."
"All right," Dustin steps between Mike and Lucas, shoving them apart, "calm down!"
"No!" Lucas snaps, throwing up his hands. "She used us, all of us! She helped just enough so she could get what she wanted. Food and a bed. They're like stray dogs."
(Y/n) snaps her head to the side, looking as hurt as a kicked puppy.
"Screw you, Lucas!" Mike exclaims.
"No! Screw you, Mike," Lucas retorts, throwing his hands up again. "You're blind . . . blind because you like that a girl's not grossed out by you. But wake up, man! Wake the hell up!" He points at Eleven. "She knows where Will is and now she's just letting him die in the Upside Down."
"Shut up!" Mike screams.
"For all we know, it's her fault," He looks over at Eleven.
"Shut up!" Mike echoes.
"We're looking for some stupid monsters . . ." Lucas begins, shoving Mike with a hand, "but did you ever stop to think that maybe one of them's the monster?"
There is a silence before Mike punches Lucas. "I said shut up!"
Mike and Lucas roll onto the ground, Mike pinning Lucas.
"Stop!" Eleven shrieks.
"Knock it off, you idiots," Dustin says, though he sounds more exasperated than concerned.
(Y/n) runs over, not understanding Dustin's exasperation, and tries to pull Mike off of Lucas.
It doesn't go so well, as one of the boys flailing arms hits (Y/n) in the nose, causing it to start bleeding.
(Y/n) stumbles backwards, clutching her bleeding nose, and Eleven lets out another, "Stop it!"
Eleven lets out a scream and Lucas flies backwards, hitting a pile of steel and passing out cold.
Mike scrambles to his feet and he, Dustin, and (Y/n) run over, shaking Lucas's shoulders.
"Lucas! Lucas! Lucas, are you alright?" Mike asks frantically. "Lucas."
"Lucas, come on," Dustin says and (Y/n) shakes Lucas's shoulders more frantically.
"Lucas, wake up," (Y/n) says. "Lucas."
"Come on, Lucas!" Dustin begs.
"Why would you do that?" Mike turns to yell at Eleven. "What's wrong with you? What is wrong with you?"
"Come on. Come on," Dustin says, as Eleven begins to sob.
"Lucas. Lucas, come on, man," Mike says.
(Y/n) rests a hand on Lucas's arm, and concentrates. A shock travels through (Y/n)'s body and to Lucas's arm, and the boy's eyes fly open.
(Y/n) falls back onto her butt, clutching her head.
"More," Dr. Brenner, Papa, demands. "More, Five."
(Y/n)'s hands tremble as she tries to summon the tiny burst of lightning once more.
Then her consciousness gives way, and she collapses to the floor.
Dustin laughs thankfully as he helps Lucas sit up.
"Lucas," Mike breathes. "Lucas, you okay?"
Lucas sits up, looking dazed.
"Lucas . . . Lucas, how many fingers am I holding up?" Dustin asks, holding up three fingers. "Lucas, how many fingers."
"Let me see your head," Mike reaches for Lucas, but Lucas smacks his hand away.
"Get off of me!" Lucas spits.
"Lucas . . . Lucas, just let me see," Mike says.
"Get off me!" Lucas snaps, though when (Y/n) looks up into his face, (Y/n) can tell he's about to cry.
"Lucas, come on," Mike tries again, but Dustin grabs his arm.
"Let him go, Mike," Dustin tells him.
Lucas stomps away, stumbling the first couple of steps.
"Where's El?" Mike asks, and (Y/n) stands up, swaying slightly.
"El?" (Y/n) calls.
"Eleven!"
"El!"

Hellfire’s Newest Member (Eddie x fem!Reader) Pt. 9
Tumblr media
warnings: smut...again...little naughtier this time
--
By the time the two of you were ready it was almost 3 PM, you had spent hours laying around, making out, and talking to each other. Being around Eddie made you feel so safe and loved, and you felt nothing but excitement for your future with him, whatever it may entail.
Eddie checked his watch, "shit sweetheart it's already 3"
"Have we really been sitting around here for that long?" You asked, "you really know how to keep me entertained, Munson"
"Yeah, well I promised my girl I'd show her around town, and I'm a man of my word, so we better get a move on," he said, hopping up from the couch and extending a hand to you.
You walked out your front door, bringing the money your dad left, locking it behind you and Eddie. The lock was stuck and you were struggling, rather embarrassingly, to get your ket out
"Need some help there princess?" Eddie asked, bending down so his face was level with the lock, his eyes looking up at you
"No its fine, its just-"
You were cut off by a third voice coming from the street
"Well I'll be damned," Dustin scoffed, putting a hand on his hips as Mike and some other kids his age piled up behind him, "I can't say I expected to see you two coupled up"
Mike looked absolutely shocked, while the other kids just stood there, eyes on Dustin.
"Henderson, its not-" you began before Eddie cut you off, pulling you away from the door, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his head on your shoulder
"Gentlemen, Mayfield, I'd like to introduce you...formally that is...to my beautiful girlfriend - y/n y/l/n" Eddie said proudly
"Girlfriend??" Mike yelled
"No way in HELL you got a girl to go out with you, Eddie," Dustin said through laughter
"The hell did you say, shrimp," Eddie said, pulling away from you and walking towards the kids. Your key finally slid out of the door
Dustin froze, his laughter fading as he thought Eddie was about to beat the shit out of him. Instead, Eddie tackled him backwards
"Nah man, I'm just as surprised as you are. She's perfect, and she's mine," he said looking back at you, now walking down to stand by him, "and I have no fucking clue what she sees in me, but hey, I am not complaining"
Mike stopped you as you walked towards the group, turning to the two other kids with him
"Oh hey y/n! This is Max," he gestured to the redhead girl next to him, she waved, "and this is Lucas, the guy you subbed for last night"
"Nice to meet you guys," you said
"I heard you defeated Vecna all by yourself," Lucas said with a nod, "pretty impressive if you ask me
You chuckled, "I wouldn't say that, I had some amazing help, but it definitely felt good to put that son of a bitch in his place"
"Hellfire's first girl...not a bad intro if you ask me," he said, "We've been trying to get Max to play for years but she says its a little kids game," he teased her. Max just sighed and got on her bike, starting to ride away. Lucas followed her, then Mike.
Eddie finally let go of Dustin once he noticed the rest of the kids were leaving, letting Dustin join his friends
"Congrats you two!" Dustin yelled as he rode down the street.
Eddie picked you up and spun you around, smiling up at you.
"I like that kid," you said.
"Henderson? Yeah he's the best. If I ever had a kid, I think I'd want one like him," Eddie said while glancing down the road where they had gone.
"I agree Eds, they seem like a good group."
He set you down, taking your hand in his as he led you to his van, opening the door for you as always.
"My dear," he helped you in, closing the door after you.
----
Eddie took you all around town. He took you to the arcade, down main street past all the shops, through different neighborhoods, past the remnants of an old mall that he said burnt down the year before, and to some of his favorite spots outside of town. Of course he had metal music playing in the background the whole time, most of which you recognized and sang along with.
He showed you skull rock, which he explained was a famous makeout spot
"Wanna make it a little more popular?" He asked, pulling you in for a kiss
"You're gross Munson, but this rock really does look like a skull," you commented.
"Yeah, I guess it lives up to its name," he said.
Suddenly, Eddie jumped out of the car and ran around to open your door.
"Eddie? What are we doing?"
"Follow me, its a surprise!"
He grabbed your hand, running through the woods with you behind him. You couldn't help but laugh as he spat his hair out of his mouth as he ran, muttering a curse here and there.
After a few minutes of running you reached a beautiful view, a gorgeous lake lined with trees, the sun just beginning to set across the body of water.
"Lover's Lake," Eddie said panting, leaning against a tree.
"Oh really now," you responded, "I didn't take you for a romantic view kinda guy Munson."
He chuckled
"I bet you take all your ladies here don't you, tell them its your special spot," you taunted, walking towards him slowly
"HA, no y/n, it was never a special spot til now," he replied, pushing his back against the tree
"And why's that?"
"Cause I've never had a lover to share this lake with," he said dramatically, throwing his hands over his heart and knocking himself to the ground, making you laugh.
He stayed on the ground, playing dead. You knelt down, straddling his hips, placing your hands on his shoulders. He didn't move, just opened his eyes a little bit to see if you were looking at him before closing them tightly and sticking his tongue out.
"No! My dearest Edward!" You played along, throwing your torso down onto his chest, putting your body weight on him, "how will I ever live without you!"
"Stay there and you might actually kill me princess, I can hardly breathe," he coughed as he pushed you off him, rolling on top of you and propping himself up on his elbows.
"You're beautiful Eddie Munson"
"You're perfect y/n, y/l/n," he started before rolling off you, laying next to you with his hands resting on his stomach, "I mean if someone had told me yesterday that the crazy new girl I picked up off the highway would be the DnD playing, Vecna slaying, metal loving, sexy, gorgeous, smart, hilarious woman of my dreams, I'd say they were crazy. But you're right here."
He turned to face you, you did the same, your eyes locking as you listened to him.
"I really don't know what I did to deserve you, like at all, but you're perfect. You're perfect for me. Hardly anybody gives me the time of day here and all you've done is shown me love and kindness."
You laid on your side, running your fingers through Eddie's hair and against his cheek as he spoke. You were in heaven.
"I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you. Thank you, and I love you. I'm really, really in love with you, y/n," he stared deeper into your eyes than ever before.
"Ditto, Munson. You've made me feel things I've never felt before. You make me feel safe and cared for and appreciated on a whole other level. I can't thank you enough, Eddie. Honestly. I love you more than anything," you said, leaning in to kiss him.
He grabbed your face feverishly and pulled you into a kiss, rolling your body on top of his once again. His hands trailed down your back until they reached your ass, where they stopped. Eddie squeezed and then slapped one of your ass cheeks, making you jump and let out a little yelp.
"Eddie!"
"Sorry sweetheart, you're irresistible"
He pulled you back into the kiss, keeping his hands on your ass and the back of your thighs. He pulled himself up by your legs so that you were sitting on his lap, your chests pressed together. You shoved your hands up his shirt...your shirt...while you kissed, making him shudder.
"You wanna do this?" He asked
"I thought you'd never ask," you replied in a whisper
And with that, your shirt was gone, and so was his, and his ringed fingers were working on unbuttoning your pants while you did the same with his. The cold metal of his rings tickled your lower stomach as he unzipped your pants. He picked you up by your hips and laid you on your back so he could remove your pants entirely, doing the same with his once he was done with you. In the meantime, you reached to unclasp your bra
"Uh-uh princess," he stopped you, grabbing your arms, "that's my job"
His hands trailed down your arms until they met your hands which were holding the clasp of your bra. His hands replaced yours as he pulled the thin lace material off your shoulders and down your arms, your breasts springing free.
"So. Fucking. Perfect." Eddie said as his mouth traveled to your breasts, roughly kissing the skin just above your nipple
"Eddie, you're gonna leave a mark!" You said, running your fingers through his hair
"That's the whole idea darling, except nobody will be able to see them but me," he smirked
Your chest now adorned with bruises, Eddie pulled away to briefly admire you.
"Flip over for me baby"
You did as he asked, propping yourself up on your elbows as Eddie positioned himself behind you, snaking your panties off you.
Oh fuck yes. I love this man and everything about him.
He entered you slowly, moaning and growling as he slid in and out, giving you time to adjust to his length.
"I need you, Eddie, all of you, right now" you pleaded over your shoulder
"Anything for you baby" he said before he started ramming his hips into you, grabbing your hips with both hands, lifting one to smack your ass every few thrusts, catching you off guard every time. The little whimpers you let out drove him crazy, he loved knowing he was pleasing you...genuinely pleasing you.
"Fuck Eddie, oh my god," you said, throwing your hands up around your head.
"Give me those," he commanded
"What?" You asked, confused, looking back at him
"Your hands, give me your hands" He said between breaths, holding a hand out to catch them.
You did as he asked, Eddie holding both of your hands behind your back with one of his, balancing you on nothing but himself and your knees. He pulled you back with each thrust, making him go deeper.
"I'm close Eddie, so close" you said through gritted teeth
"Go on beautiful, let go for me," he said, keeping his pace
As you climaxed he snuck his free hand around your front, pulling you up so your back was against his chest as his thrusts got less intense. He thrust upward into you, barely moving, making you feel more connected to him than ever. With a final thrust he pulled out of you, pressing himself tightly against your back, his cum dripping down his front and your back, as he grabbed your stomach and breast with his hands.
"Fuck babe" he said into your ear.
You both looked an absolute mess. Hair all over the place, dirt in places it shouldn't be, and sweat and cum covering your bodies.
He held you close for a second before letting you go, admiring the view as you both caught your breath.
"I love you so much" you said to him, turning to face him, pulling the hair out of his face.
"I love you too sweetheart," he brought you close and kissed your forehead gently, his unsteady breath beating against your skin.
----
After the sun had set, you two walked back to Eddie's van and drove to his trailer. With metal music playing the entire drive as usual, Eddie placed a hand on your thigh and drew little circles with his thumb as he explained his living situation, his relationship with his uncle, and how excited he was for you to meet him one day. You smiled at him as he spoke, feeling warmth and excitement about the long, happy life you knew you were just beginning with Eddie 'the freak' Munson.

hi and welcome to my kin list that literally no one asked for:
(sorry if the format doesnt look good I’m trying this out, also yes this has my hc)
Eddie Kaspbrak
I’m small (actually average but small compared to my friends), angry, a little bit of a hypochondriac, former asthmatic (might still have some remnants of it but not enough to need an inhaler), I’m a boyliker, I’m a boy, thinks Richie is cute
Mike Wheeler
I’m a boyliker, would probably have his modern-day aesthetic as my goal, insecure, kind of mean sometimes, physical touch love language, I’m a boy, thinks Will Byers is attractive, generally a jealous person by nature, hopeless romantic, “what if I’m actually just annoying”, requires validation, I swear a lot
Will Byers
boyliker, boy, he’s sassy, thinks Mike Wheeler is attractive, smol bean (pre-s4 but i think it’s still valid), hopeless romantic, physical touch love language, wants to commit felonies (AKA rob Las Vegas pretty much)
Richie Tozier
Dirty minded and dirty jokes, humor as a coping mechanism, boyliker, boy, wants to be loved
Max Mayfield
Bisexual, sarcasm as my humor and a defense mechanism, l like messing with people, she’s Mike in a different font with regards to personality
Ziggy Katz
Bisexual, boy, likes music (I would say playing the guitar but I have yet to actually learn), another hopeless romantic, struggles with connecting with people sometimes, awkward asf
Amity Blight
girlliker, good student, used to be a rule stickler and get very annoyed with others who weren’t

TW: Mentions of abuse/harm (no descriptions of it)
Max and Eddie duo supremacy!!!
Eddie does not like Billy check. So this contains Billy slander.
——————
Eddie Munson couldn’t possibly hate a person more than he hated Billy Hargrove. He was the scum of the earth for all Eddie could care.
He first met Hargrove on Billy’s first day, Eddie’s second senior year. The second that boy walked through the school doors Eddie clocked him. That boy likes to kiss boys. It wasn’t a question.
Billy wasn’t Eddies type. He’d never admit it, but he like softer looking boys (cite his junior year crush on the all American boy Steve Harrington).
Eddie however was Billy’s type. But let’s be honest with ourselves, Hargrove would fuck anything with a pulse.
About one month in Billy cornered him after school one day, “Heard you who I need to see.”
This left a lot to the imagination.
“See for what? I proved a multitude of services, be more specific” Eddie didn’t feel the need to banter or tease like he normally did. Billy had this anger in him that he could just feel. Eddie was stupid but he didn’t go around point bears.
Hargrove backed him up to the wall, trapping him in.
“How about you give me a gram or two, I’ll give you…” He fades off and steps closer.
Eddie scoffs, “Billy I may be the only other gay man here for a hundred miles, but let me be fully transparent. I would rater nail my foot to the ground than fuck you.”
He didn’t take kindly to that.
Billy was a bully. So, when the town freak shows up with a busted lip and black eye no one scolds him or even takes a second glance at EddieWell besides Harrington who had a matching black eye and an equal hatred of Billy Hargrove.
When he heard about Billy’s death in the Starcourt fire he wasn’t going to pretend that he’d miss the guy. Eddie found the whole Starcourt fire to be strange, but he never looked into it. He just felt like something was off about it. It was the ‘80s and it was Hawkins, what didn’t feel off.
Then he meet Max Mayfield a few months later.
Max moved into the trailer park soon after the fire. She was a quiet kid, always had her headphones on. He didn’t know her before hand, but people talk. Say how she’s practically a shell of herself now, how she sees the school therapist once a week.
“She watched her brother die,” they all whisper in the halls. And as much as Eddie was glad Billy was gone, it wasn’t worth it to watch a young girl walk around like she wasn’t there.
“She looks a helluva lot like you when you first rolled up here,” Wayne said one day when max was skating around the gravel.
The Munsons and Mayfields didn’t interact much. One day Wayne made too much chili and sent Eddie over to deliver some to the neighbors. By this time Eddie had taken Dustin, Mike, and Lucas under his wing. He had heard them talk about max. Eddie felt like he practically knew everything about this girl (heard many a stories of her kicking Lucas out on his ass when he fucked up, it made Eddie strangely proud).
When Max opened the door to see Eddie standing there she looked a bit lost.
“Hey Eddie, whatcha doing here? Did one of the guys forget some D&D thing?”
Eddie laughed, “Nah, Wayne made too much chili, we’re handing it out to the neighbors. Wanted to know if you’d like some?” He could see her mom passed out on the couch. A familiar scene to him, his heart cracked a bit.
“Umm… yeah sure,” she reached out for the bowl, “Thank you, I’ll wash the bowl when we finish it.”
“Take your time, I know where ya live,” He said sending a wink her way.
Five months later and the whole Vecna situation happens.
Eddie wakes up in a hospital bed with a tired looking Steve Harrington (that crush certainly came back full force).
“Hey Stevie”
“Hey Eds” Steve smoothed down Eddie’s hair and tucked it behind his ear, they have to talk about that one later.
“Where is everyone? Did l it work? Is it safe? How’d -“ Eddie tried to sit up but his sides screamed with pain.
Steve forced him to lay back down, “Easy there tiger, you can’t walk around just yet”
Harrington explained how they got everyone out, El closed the portal, and they rushed him and Max to the hospital.
“Wait what happened to Max?”
Eddie demanded that him and Max share a room. It made it easier on the kids and Steve and Robin to have them in the same place.
Max woke up a week later on Wednesday afternoon. Everyone was out picking up lunch so it was just the two of them. By then Eddie could move around a bit better.
“Hey there Mad Max” and Eddie’s face were a surprising yet welcoming thing to come back to.
After a while the two of them were released from the hospital. And once Eddie could drive again he carted Max along with him to and from school and physical therapy. He built her a ramp for her trailer and yelled at the High School board for not having wheelchair accessible entrance at the front of the building.
Max started walking a bit better and had to move to a less intensive physical therapy. They first day she walked in with her cane, Eddie by her side incase she needed help.
She checked in at the reception desk, “Hi I have an appointment for Maxine Mayfield.”
The receptionist looked up at the read head, “Splendid, and who is here with you today?”
With out missing a beat she replies “My brother, Edison Munson.”
Eddie cried about it in Steve’s room that night. He had never felt like he ever truly belonged anywhere until he met the party, until the was Max and Steve.
He was technically cleared of all charges, but rumors about him still circulated. And some nights he thought it just be better to run away, to disappear and leave this bell hole. But he had a sister he needed to look out for.
And maybe he hated Billy, for what he did. For how his death still hunts Max. For all the stories he hears about the guy. Yeah he hated Billy Hargrove, but no one deserves to die like that.
He despised that guy, but he was so eternally grateful for Hargrove’s sister, for his sister.

When Life Tears You Asunder, But You’re Not Alone
(Chapter 15/18)
General Warnings/tags: Found family, implied Wayne/Susan in future chapters, Max & Eddie have a sibling like relationship, fluff, hurt/comfort, Lumax and Steddie make appearances throughout the chapters but the primary focus is on the familial bonds between characters
Chapter specific warnings/tags: The rest of the gang make an appearance in this one, which is no longer surprising at this point, Max is a little shit
Word count: 2637
Summary: Billy was a pretty shitty brother, there was no denying it, but Max still finds herself mourning for the sibling relationship they never got to have. With him gone she thinks so are her chances of ever having the big brother figure she’s always wanted. Then in a turn of events that she never saw coming, Eddie Munson waltzes into her life. Or more like, almost runs her over.
Notes: Co-written with the wonderful @ladydorian05 and crossposted on AO3. Updates every Friday.

“MAXINE MAYFIELD!”
She’s sitting on the couch, legs curled up beneath her and a blanket draped over her lap, watching ThunderCats on the small tv in front of her. Always so dramatic, Max thinks as she looks over her shoulder at Eddie who has just barrelled through the front door.
“Edward Munson.” She bites back, knowing he hates his full name almost as much as she hates her own.
“Where’s my Metallica cassette?” He asks, not waiting for an answer before he starts rummaging through the stack of magazines, old mail, and miscellaneous junk on the tiny kitchen table, “Ride the lightning, blue cover, you know the one.”
“How would I know where it is?” She shrugs and turns her attention back to the tv, “Maybe Dustin has it, or Mike.”
“No one else but you would dare to take something that’s mine without asking and you know it!”
She rolls her eyes. He’s in front of her, having given up on the kitchen and now deciding to search the coffee table.
“Well, it wasn’t me.” She says, sounding very much over the entire conversation, “Have you looked in your van?”
“Yes, Max, I looked in my van.”
“Are you sure? I mean have you seen the inside of your van? It’s a miracle you can find anything in there.”
“Yes I- Oh, would you look at that?” He says the words slowly, his head tilted to the side as he draws out his sentence. There’s a smug smile on his face when he holds up the cassette in question right in front of her face, “If it wasn’t you, what’s this then? How’d it get in here, huh?”
She shrugs, “Must have picked it up by accident when I was doing my homework in your trailer the other day.”
“Ok.” He says with a nod then holds up his other hand containing 3 different cassettes that he had found on the table with the Metallica one, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and a mixtape. All Eddies. “And what about these ones?”
“Uhhh.” She stalls, knowing she’s been caught, “They fell into my bag?” She says, though it comes out sounding more like a question and her sheepish expression gives her away.
Eddie shakes his head, just barely holding back a smile, and sinks down onto the couch next to her, “Keep them.” He holds out the Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and the mixtape cassettes to her without looking, “Not the Metallica one, though.”
“Really?”
“Yes. Now hurry up and take them before I change my mind.”
She takes them and hops to her feet, crossing the room to place them on the side with her walkman. Her eyes linger on the clock as she passes. Almost noon.
“Hey, since you’re here and it’s your day off,” She moves in front of the tv which Eddie has already become transfixed by. He cranes his neck in an attempt to see the tv she’s now blocking, “Can you drive me to the arcade?”
He frowns at her, pretending to be grumpy about it even though they both know he’s going to say yes.
She invites Eddie along once they arrive, she was meeting with the rest of the party but she knows they won’t mind. Will and El are already waiting outside as they approach and Steve’s car rolls into the parking lot a few seconds later when he shows up to drop off Dustin, Lucas, and Mike.
The 3 boys pile out of the car and Dustin rushes to tackle Eddie with so much force he almost knocks him off his feet in their own weird kind of greeting. His ribs must have healed by now, because Max doesn’t see him grimace at the impact.
Steve has gotten out of the car which is parked in front of the building and is leaning against the driver's side door watching the group share their greetings as well as Dustin and Eddie's chaos. Eddie manages to shove Dustin off him and they seemingly call a truce.
“Stevie!” Eddie booms as if he’s only just noticed him standing there. Steve offers him a wave, a small thing just a wiggle of his fingers, but Eddie's face lights up at the sight of it, “Are you joining us?”
“Nah, just dropping those little buttheads off.” He nods in the direction of Dustin, Lucas, and Mike who have gathered around Will to chat about the latest Hellfire campaign. Max has given up pretending she understands and is standing with El who looks equally confused.
“Do you have plans?”
“Um… no?”
“Alright, great!” Eddie beams. Max has noticed the interaction and already knows what’s about to come next. And sure enough, a second later Eddie is dragging Steve along, arm around his shoulders, “Let's go, man.”
Steve lets himself be dragged along as they lead the way, only playfully brushing Eddie's hand off his shoulder after Eddie leans in close and says something that Max can’t quite make out but makes Steve laugh. They’ve been inseparable ever since Eddie was allowed home from the hospital, she sees Steve leaving sometimes, see’s his car in the driveway, on more than one occasion she’s walked into the Munson’s trailer to see him sitting there on the couch.
She sticks with Lucas as they head inside. Will and Dustin catch up to Eddie and Steve at the front of the group. She suspects their conversation is more a case of Dustin and Steve bickering whilst Eddie and Will watch on with amusement. Mike and El are at the rear of the group caught up in a conversation of their own which seems much more civilized.
The arcade isn’t what it used to be. It’s starting to look a little run down, new games are a rarity, and over the past couple of years, it's become quieter, no longer the most popular hangout spot in Hawkins. Max doesn’t mind all that much, the smaller crowds suit her just fine.
“Dig dug?” Max asks Lucas as the group starts to split, everyone running off to their favorite games.
“Of course! I’m offended that you even had to ask.” He scoffs, but it’s playful and lighthearted. He takes her hand as they cross the room heading towards the familiar machine.
"I bet you won't be able to beat my highest score this time either, Sinclair."
"You really wanna bet on it?"
"You sure you want to lose?"
"Oh if I'm sure about anything it’s the fact that I'll win." Lucas replies, perhaps sounding a little overly confident for someone who has lost this exact same challenge every time he’s attempted it.
"Alright then, a full meal from the diner for the winner, whenever the winner wants. Deal?"
"Deal."
Lucas tries and fails spectacularly to beat the high score Max has held for the past 2 years, as he always does, earning him a 'told you so’ look from Max.
"Not a word."
"I won't say anything,” She says, sounding only a little smug. Lucas eyes her suspiciously, waiting for the inevitable gloating that’s about to follow, “Just be ready to pay for my meal when I feel like cashing in my prize." She adds with a sickly sweet smile as she bumps her shoulder against his.
Lucas lets out a frustrated groan, but finds himself smiling back at her anyway, “I don’t understand!” He complains, “It should be humanly impossible for one person to be so good at a game.”
His grumbling is cut short when they hear Dustin, yelling much too loudly from the other side of the room. They both whip around to see what the commotion is about and see Steve hunched over one of the machines with Dustin by his side. Steve is notoriously terrible at just about every single game he tries his hand at, much to Dustin’s endless frustration.
Max turns back to Lucas and they share a glance, a silent conversation passing between them. They’ve both spent their share of quarters on dig dug, might as well go enjoy the free entertainment.
“Press the button, Steve!”
“I am pressing the button!” Steve yells back, dramatically jabbing at every button on the machine.
They find Eddie leaning back against the wall, watching the scene unfold with his arms crossed over his chest and a smile tugging at his lips.
“Have they been like this the whole time?” Lucas asks with a laugh.
"Nah, Dustin convinced Steve to play about twenty minutes ago. I'd say this is more entertaining than actually playing." Eddie comments from his place against the wall. "You two done flirting?" He asks, turning to Max and Lucas, already amused by the reaction he knows he'll get from both of them.
"What!?" They both exclaim at the same time.
"Who was flirting with who!? I was kicking his ass."
"We were just playing!" Lucas is quick to add.
Eddie laughs, allowing them to continue talking over each other as they both try very unconvincingly to defend themselves. They’re still digging themselves deeper and deeper into a hole when Will, El, and Mike approach.
“What’s going on?” Mike asks with a raised eyebrow at the overlapping chatter and Eddie’s laughter.
"Nothing!" Max and Lucas say a little too loudly and a little too aggressively, perfectly in sync.
"Jeez, relax. We just wanted to know if you're ready to go, Will and El have a curfew, remember?"
"Right. Dustin, come on man, time to go." Eddie says, pushing himself off the wall and placing a hand on Dustin's shoulder in an attempt to coax him away. It doesn’t work.
It’s an odd role reversal, Max thinks, watching Eddie being the responsible one whilst Steve is distracted playing video games. She’s sure part of it is down to the fact it’s Hopper's wrath they’ll have to face if El and Will are home late, but he’ll never admit it.
"Wait! Wait! Steve finally got it! Yes! Yes!! Kill it, kill it!"
“Get it, Steve!” El joins in Dustin's chanting, moving to stand at Steve’s other side, and Eddie sighs. He is spectacularly bad at being the responsible one so it seems.
"I'm doing it! I'm doing it!"
Steve’s success doesn’t last long. Dustin punches him in the arm as they watch the little character on the screen die, not hard enough to hurt but Steve clutches at his bicep as if he's just been mortally wounded anyway.
"That was my last quarter, Steve," Dustin complains.
"First of all, it was my quarter, and second I almost had it!"
"Yeah, after dying like 20 times in less than 5 minutes."
"Alright, shut up. Let's get you all home." He ruffles Dustin's head, his hair protected by his ever-present cap. "Eddie, you got Max, El, and Will?"
“Sure. Come on, let’s go little hobbits.”
El and Will pile into the back of the van first, followed shortly by Max who hops into her usual seat after stopping to say her goodbyes to Lucas, including pressing a brief and chaste kiss to his cheek. She knows from the expression on Eddie's face that he noticed and that he's about to be insufferable about it.
"How's loverboy doing?" He asks, head tilted in her direction and both hands clasped together and resting on his chest right where his heart is. He follows up his teasing with a series of over-the-top kissy faces, sound effects included.
"You think you're funny?" She deadpans over the sound of Will and El's giggling behind her.
"Hilarious actually."
"Urgh, you're insufferable." She says without any venom behind her words.
"So you keep reminding me."
Eddie starts the van, giving Steve a wave as they pass by. He's still trying to wrangle Lucas, Mike, and Dustin into his car. Lucas seems to be suffering the same friendly teasing Max has had to endure.
She entertains herself by digging through the collection of tapes Eddie keeps in the glove compartment of his van, a common occurrence and the reason why he’s had to stop stashing weed in there after a few close calls. It’s not like she, or any of the other kids, are unaware of his ‘side business’; but he’d still rather not have any of them stumbling across drugs on his watch. Steve would never forgive him. Eventually, Max finds a tape that catches her eye and plucks it from where it was lying in a heap with the rest.
"Nuh-uh." Eddie is quick to swipe it from her grasp without taking his eyes off the road, "Sticky fingers."
"I was just looking!" She wasn't.
"Sure." He opens the case with one hand and lets it play on the van’s speakers. “There, this is as far as you’ll get.”
“Kill joy.”
“Little thief.”
“Asshole.”
“Pain in the ass.”
“Pubic hair head.” It’s a low blow, and a childish one at that, but she knows it’ll get a reaction.
“You didn’t!” Eddie gasps, holding a hand to his chest. “Take it back, Mayfield. I take great pride in my hair.”
“And if I don’t want to?”
“I’ll take those tapes I gave you.”
“You can’t, it’s rude to take back a gift.”
“Well, it’s rude to call someone’s hair ‘pubic hair’.” He says making a very over the top and very inaccurate impersonation of her voice when he repeats her insult.
“You use 2 in 1 shampoo, this is why Steve’s hair is better.”
“Another low blow?! You know Steve is a special case!”
“If I didn’t know better I’d say you’re actual siblings.” Will laughs in his seat alongside El.
“I agree.” Says El between giggles.
The rest of the ride to the Hopper-Byers house is filled with considerably fewer insults. El seems curious about the music playing on the stereo, she mentions that it’s different from the music Will and Jonathan have introduced her to and very different from Hopper's old records. She likes it though, asking questions about each song and the band which Eddie answers with enthusiasm each time.
After dropping Will and El off the tape is the only thing filling the silence between Max and Eddie. Although it's not awkward or uncomfortable, Max is pleased to discover. Not like it had been that first day when he’d given her a ride back to the trailer park and neither of them had known what to say.
“Hey, I didn’t mean it. You know that, right? The whole-” She makes a weird and rather unhelpful gesture towards her head which she realizes probably isn’t clarifying anything, “Hair thing.”
“I know, Red.” Eddie glances at her, before turning his attention back to the road, smiling. “I didn’t mean what I said either. Don’t sweat it.”
“Good.”
They get to the trailer park and Eddie, as always, pulls over in front of her trailer. Her mom's car is in the driveway. Eddie waits until Max is by the door before shouting a goodbye.
“Good night, Red! See ya around!”
“Shut up idiot! There are people trying to sleep!” She half yells, half hisses.
“You’re shouting too!”
“Good night Eddie!”
“Night!” He waves with his hand out of the window as he parks his van beside his trailer.
She finds her mom already passed out on the couch with the tv playing faintly in the background. Instead of empty beer bottles littering the coffee table like she might once have expected there’s just 2 empty mugs, Wayne was here Max guesses. She’s still smiling as she throws two frozen meals in the microwave, even if her mom has been making an effort to make more home cooked meals Max knows some days she’s just too tired. She wakes her up so that they can have dinner together and save her mom from the sore neck she knows will come from sleeping on the couch.
