Seiyū Love: Kenjirō Tsuda

More fans are probably familiar with Kenjirō Tsuda’s role as arch-rival Seto Kaiba “Yu-Gi-Oh!,” but for me Vincent Bold from “Space Brothers" is my iconic Tsuda character. Vincent is an intimidating, uptight, ex-military astronaut instructor with a complicated past. He’s cold, critical, and dismissive of civilian astronauts and is a personal and personnel roadblock to the lead. We really don’t like Vincent in the beginning because Tsuda lets the bitterness of a man whose life-long goals have been thwarted seep into every word.

Although there may be a more villainous character I'm unaware of, master swordsman Sanji’s vicious younger brother Yonji from “One Piece" is a perfect example of how Tsuda’s gravely voice lends itself to bad guys. The same qualities that can be good for badness can also be used for coolness, as Tsuda’s long list of cool heroes can attest — Zaveid from “Tales of Zestiria the X,” Nino from “ACCA: 13,” Graze from “The Heroic Legend of Arslan,” and Shijaku from “Gintama,” to name a few.

Since the first Tsuda role I encountered was an older man, and so many others were baddies or cool guys, I was surprised to hear him also play high-school characters. The quirky, amusing Sadaharu Inui from “Prince of Tennis,” and energetic, enthusiastic Seijūrō Mikoshiba from “Free!,” showcase his the breadth of emotions and personalities Tsuda is capable of performing. 

All of the characters mentioned have a quantity of cool in them. Then there’s Hannes from “Attack on Titan." Arguably a drunkard, although he’s a unit captain, he is rather laid back, not particularly driven and close to cowardly, attributes that Tsuda conveyed perfectly, despite the seemingly natural manly dynamic of his voice. Regardless of Hannes’s failings, he rises to the level of hero in the end, a remarkable accomplishment for him and Tsuda, given their limited airtime.

With his deep, smokey voice, Tsuda could easily have been typecast as a villain or dark hero, but his talents have provided him more diversity, which continues to expand over time.

ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka: Because the voice makes wonderful things(recomendations)

This is one of the last anime I watched completely (mainly because I forget to watch animes in every season) and was a recomendation from a Chinese friend who loves animes with good music and voice actors. 

For the people who don't know what is this anime about I'll make a small resume of the plot. Everything happens in Dowa Kingdom, an island country separated in 13 districts, each one with political autonomy but ruled by a king (the same idea of  United States with the states). The king is old enough to leave his kingdom in charge of the only prince in line for the crown who is a useless and arrogant.  In this situations there's rumors of a civil war being planned in all the districts.  However, there's an organization created since Dowa was formed called ACCA which is a civilian organization with an inspection agency. In this situation our main character Jean Otus, a secon-in-command of ACCA, has to travel around all the districts to see how is the situation, while lot of political secrets are reveal. 

This anime is a seinen with a really nice character aesthetics, the opening is really enjoyable and along all the anime you can find wonderful voice actors. 

The voice actor of the main character Jean Otus is Hiro Shimono who also made the voices of Connie Springer in Shingeki no Kyojin and Shou Kurusu in Uta no Prince-sama

For Nino ,main character best friend, the voice actor is Kenjiro Suda who also made the voice of Toramaru in Rurouni Kenshin, Seto Kaiba in Yu-gi Oh! , Sadaharu Inui in The Prince of Tennis and Seijūrō Mikoshiba in Free! - Eternal Summer. 

For Lotta, main character sister, is Aoi Yuki, recognized for Murasaki Kuhōin in Kure-nai, Iris in Pokémon: Best Wishes! and Madoka Kaname in Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

For Grossular, one of the ACCA's headmasters, the voice actor is Jun'ichi Suwabe, known also for the voices of Viktor Nikiforov in Yuri! On Ice, Takashi Komuro in Highschool of the Dead and Daiki Aomine in Kuroko no Basket.

And if that's not good enough, for Spade another ACCA's headmasters, we have Toru Okawa who also give his voice to Roy Mustang in Full Metal Alchemist, Shinichiro Otori in Seikon no Qwaster  and Death Scythe and Spirit in Soul Eater. 

This are just few names of the great voice actors you may find watching this anime. And if you are like me and you can't watch really long animes this one is for you becaus eit only has 12 episodes.

The Iwatobi + Samezuka boys and Kisumi accidentally catch their girlfriend changing by mistake. Upon seeing that mistake, they also catch a glimpse of her body and she isn't built like a normal teenaged girl – she has a nice set of abs on her with well-tone muscles and a curvaceous body shape. How would the boys feel discovering that their girlfriend had that kind of body without them knowing?

Happy with your workout, you walked into your bedroom you began to get ready for your shower, eager to get to get out of your sweaty gym clothes; unaware that you had left the door wide open.

Haru: He would be blush out of embarrassment upon catching you changing and would very impressed by your build; wondering if you did any sports but wouldn’t question you on it, thinking there was a reason you didn’t tell him,

Nagisa: His eyes would widen at the sight and he’d let out an impressed whistle. “Wow _______-chan what a sexy body,” walking up towards you he hugs you from behind and whispers, “how mean _____-chan keeping this a secret from me”

Makoto: He blushes embarrassed having caught you changing and he’s grateful that you hadn’t noticed; however he can’t keep his eyes from lingering on your toned body and he can’t stop his mind from racing about all the things he could be doing with you.

Rei: He squawks like a bird in distress and when you cover your body in  embarrassment he sputters and slams the door shut, you can hear him yelling about privacy and manners. However he can’t help but admire your body and wondered what kind of exercises you had been doing. He makes a mental note to ask you about it later.

Momo: He blushes at the sight and he’s throughly impressed at how fit you were, tearing his eyes from your abs he turns to his and pokes them; hmmm he needed to work out more.

Seijuro: He leans against the doorframe and his eyes soak in all the sexy goodness. Letting out a wolf whistle he grins at you, “those abs are fantastic! Looking sexy there babe!”

Rin: His eyes widen at the glorious sight he’s happened to stumble across and he was about to close the door but his body wouldn’t move for some reason; all he could do was stare and wonder what it would feel like with you pressed up against him, skin to skin.

Ai: He feels like an utter pervert as he stands and stares at your frame. He can’t help but admire at how fit you were; he made a mental note to work out more, his girlfriend can’t have better abs than him! 

Sosuke: His eyes widen, impressed at how fit you were. Leaning against the doorframe with a cheeky grin he lets out  a low whistle, “been working out?”

Kisumi:  His eyes widen as he blushes at the sexy sight, he was throughly impressed at how fit you were. Damn _________ just what did you do to get such an impressive frame? “KISUMI!!!!”“Oh crap, did I just think out loud?”

Sei, what are you doing?” you ask.

You gave him one suspicious look before going back to your internetsurfing. It was obvious that your boyfriend was drawing you but you don’t wantto bother him.

After another hour of silence, save for the tapping soundsfrom your computer and the scratching of his pencil on paper.

“DONE!” he exclaimed loudly, putting down the pencil andblew the excess pencil lead and eraser dust from the sketchpad.

“What’s that?” you asked curiously.

Smiling childishly, he closed his sketchpad and handed it toyou.

You silently opened the sketchpad and browsed its contentsand you noticed something.

“These… These are all… me”

“Yep… I draw you every time we’re alone like this” he said,smiling nostalgically.

In reaching the last page, the last drawing made everysingle drop of your blood to fill your cheeks.

The last page was you of your previous position, on yourstomach… the difference was you were wearing a wedding attire.

Fluffy scenarios with Oikawa, Daichi, and Seijuuro Mikoshiba?

Mikoshiba Seijuurou: It was unnatural for you to be this silent. It might be because he was extra boisterous that day but he was just not used to you not having any reaction to his childish antics.

He tried his best trying to make you smile until he had enough.

“(name)-chan… I know there is something wrong…” he said solemnly.

You look up and met his golden eyes. He was unconsciously doing his puppy dog eyes and you know that he won’t stop until you talk.

“Well… It’s about Gou-san…” you said, scratching the back of your neck.

Seijuurou was surprised. Were you jealous? You must be since you were sporting a cherry red blush on your cheeks and you can’t meet his curious eyes. As much as he wanted to tackle you down with a hug for being to cute for his liking, he decided to tease you a little.

“Gou-san huh?” he said, smiling, “When I first saw her walk in during practice, I just lost it

“she was so pretty and smart and-”

“I get it…” you said, pouting a little.

Inside you were crumbling. So despite you dating Seijuurou, he still had feelings for her. She felt offended indeed, but her sulking was cut short by Seijuurou’s deep chuckle.

“But what is she compared to you?”

Surprised at his sudden, yet usual, cheesiness. You were me with soft, loving eyes and gentle smile.

“I do believe that a first love is special, but how does it compare to true love?” he said, pulling you into a hug.

Slowly, your hands found their way around his waist and gripped into his shirt.

Oikawa Tooru: “So… we’re watching Coraline?” you asked your boyfriend as he scrolled down his laptop in search for the said movie file.

“Yeah, I haven’t watched it yet, Makki-chan said it was kinda cute” he said, placing down the laptop on his bed.

You already know how the movie goes seeing as you watched it countless of times. It should be a safe decision to warn Oikawa about the movie but most of the bones in your body were trembling with excitement to see how Oikawa would react.

So you took the obvious decision and just crawled under the sheet next to Oikawa.

“Hanamaki you’re a genius” you whispered to yourself as Oikawa hit play.

Well into the movie and the other mother began her transformation and sure enough Oikawa was frozen with his arms tightly wrapped around yours. His eyes were glued to the screen with fear reflected from them.

Even after the movie was over, Oikawa was still frozen solid. You were the one who shut down the laptop and placed it at the foot of Oikawa’s bed since he wasn’t going to let go anytime soon.

“What you’re scared?” You asked, chuckling as you slightly pushed Oikawa to lie down on his back.

“Makki-chan is so mean” he said, pouting and hugging a pillow to his chin.

“You actually believe it when Hanamaki tell you to watch a cute movie?” you ask, smiling.

Oikawa lightly glared at you then pulled you down to him.

“Hold me (name)-chan”

“Yes you big baby”

Sawamura Daichi: Today was another practice match of the Karasuno team that ended in victory and as promised, Daichi treated them for some meat buns from the foothill store.

You tagged along after being begged by the team. Daichi handed your share last, along with his arm wrapped around your shoulders.

“You’re being touchy” you said, before biting down on the steaming meat bun.

He just chuckled and placed a kiss on the top of your head, completely forgetting that the rest of the team was watching, but he didn’t seem to mind.

“Why are you getting shy now?” he asked, smiling “you’re usually the one being like this”

“Not in front of people” you whispered, feeling his teammates’ gazes at you and Daichi.

But Daichi just smiled then pulled you closer.
