Story Idea Dump #4

The Skater AU @chaos-and-ink is obsessed with

Setting: Clint is 19 and lives with his father Harold Barton. Yeap, the old man is alive, abusive as we know him from the comics, and still running the butcher shop. His mother left a few years prior and took Barney with her, because he was her favorite. Safe to say life isn‘t going well for Clint. If you know the comics, you know what he‘s going through.

Bucky, in his mid/late 20s, working as a nurse and taking courses for his EMT qualification, lives with his 16year old sister Rebecca. Their parents are alive, but moved to another state for job reasons. They‘re on good terms with the parents. They stayed in town, because Bucky was in the middle of med school when moving came up, and Rebecca didn‘t want to leave her friends behind. Bucky is a good and protective brother and agreed to look after her until she graduates.

The Plot: Clint uses skateboarding as his outlet. Whenever he can get away from home, he roams the streets of his hometown on his board. He‘s known in every skaterpark as the loner and the little brother of Barney Barton, who was always popular and known by everyone. Clint gets along with almost everyone, but has no friends. After a fall in a halfpipe that leaves Clint with an injury, Rebecca approaches him. Clint, of course, denies medical help ( It‘s a scratch. It costs too much.. Barton excuses). Rebecca insists he at least lets her brother look at it, because he‘s medically trained. So they meet- the helping big brother, and the little snappy and big part freaked out and abused skate dude. It goes from there.

A WinterHawk development with protective!Bucky, age difference, a shit ton of abuse from Harold‘s side, unexpected events, and Bucky trying to figure out what the hell is going on with Clint. Hurt/comfort, whumpage, emotional hurt/comfort, trauma and baggage on all ends.

A lot of things had happened for SHIELD within one month. First Captain America was found in the ice, then found his brainwashed and badly injured best friend on his first mission. Bucky had been lost between his pre-war personality and the one of the Winter Soldier. As if that hadn't already been enough, a very rebellious yet skilled teenager had been made youngest agent in the history of SHIELD. Tony Stark had gotten forced into something like a cooperation with SHIELD and the government. That was six months ago and things are about to change for them all. Steve is up for it, while Bucky isn't sure it's all a good idea. Clint isn't planning on 'being good' like Coulson asked him to. And Tony? He thinks his duty is done by providing Captain America and his bunch a great comfortable home. After all, he is not part of this family plan. Chaos ensured.

Story idea dump #3 - because I have way too many ideas 24/7

COAST GUARD AND RESCUE DIVER AU

The team works together as coast guards, and a search and rescue squad on sea. Their ship is called ‚The Avenger’ and part of the local emergency response team. Clint is the only one not permanently on the team. He is the island‘s best diving instructor and gets called in whenever the situation needs an experienced rescue diver. He likes it quiet and lives outside of town, where he doesn‘t meet a lot of people. („Tourists? The smart ones book my courses. The stupid ones end up stuck in caves thinking they know better than the ‚no diving‘ signs“ ) . Each of them has their specific role on the team. It also includes Sam, who changed over to their team from being a para-rescue after losing his best friend Riley.

Bucky is the last one to join. He‘s Steve‘s best friend and comes back from the military. Tony is thrilled because he is the first person to wear his prosthetic arm prototype. Tony is the mechanic of the team. It‘s his ‚hobby‘ next to running Stark Industries. It started as something he did to piss his father off, now he‘s invested in giving the rescue teams the best tech to rescue people and keep the island safe. Bucky wonders why Clint is the way he is- reckless, determined to a ridiculous unhealthy level, almost anti-social. He keeps pushing the interactions until someone tells him about the incident that marked the only person that Clint wasn‘t able to safe. Bucky starts to understand and makes it his mission to make Clint understand that there is more to his life and job than punishing himself for losing that person.
