Building all of Undertale in Minecraft! we've made Napstablooks house and the surrounding cave, and I am currently obsessed with the vibes :)

Unstable UNI spoilers/rant

I lied, I do have something to say about the video. ALOT to say, actually.

This video, is very VERY different from the usual style of UU videos. Upbeat Kevin Macleod music that was used 7 years ago? Not to mention the 100 day video style? The fourth wall breaking narrating by Spoke? The day counter at the top corner? Fever dream is what pops up in my head.

Fever dream, Dissociative episode, Coping mechanism.

Not to mention, Spoke has diamond armor and his ender chest is... well, uh not the best.

The exact definition of dissociation is a mental process where the person feels a disconnect from their memories, thoughts, sense of identity and reality as a whole.

Plays into what Spoke felt like this episode. "When I was on the Unstable smp-" That has never been an opening in a single UU episode ever, Spokes way of narration makes it seem like a normal video-- But it doesn't make sense, why is he aware of us? why is he narrating in the first place?

The hype, joyful music is a complete disconnect from the usual serious music UU has. Not to mention the narrating-- The narration is such a whiplash, its the disconnect of his thoughts. Its completely distracting the viewer from noticing the big ahh elephant in the room.

Point two, he's isolated. Where's Mapicc? where's Minute? Where did they go and why is Spoke alone? Spoke has never fared well in isolation, the Mafia infiltration episode PROVED that-- He completely loses himself in that, he needs social interaction to ground himself to reality. Without that? he loses it.

He barely talks in the episode(to me, atleast), its all narration to US, the viewer. He doesn't speak to himself or anyone else at all, is it a coping mechanism? But why is he coping?

Is Mapicc dead?

No. Can't be. Why would it be a off-screen death in the first place, and its just downright stupid to kill him off. But It makes sense, This episode shows the side-effects Spoke is faced with after Mapiccs death, and thing is- Dissociation is a symptom you face when grieving.

And Spoke seems like he's grieving. Completely disconnected from reality, not mentioning Mapicc or anyone else, absorbed in distracting us, the viewer and himself from that elephant in the room.

Guess what, Dissociation can cause memory loss.

Its a unique way to showcase a death, to show the grief first and then the big reveal later. If he is, then it just plays into my theory that UU or the director is actively isolating the MC's.

Okay, enough of that. I have another question.

Why is Spoke so focused on Material Wealth? Why does Spoke wanna be rich so bad? Why is that the focus instead of the isolation? Spoke decided to stay at Point Nemo SO THAT he can steal stuff and become rich. What happened to his netherite armor? All the shit in the previous episode?

Why is it, that the fact that Ash has sold the dragon egg ignites such an erratic reaction out of him?

The End Of The Minecraft Mafia - 3:55:12

"The pursuit of existence, just by playing on the server everything we do is to get more power in some shape or form. Building a redstone build, making a Contraption, building a house, even farming- everything in Minecraft is about collection and whole concept of an inventory is having things So the more you play on the server spoke you're going to want to collect more and more you're going to want more power you're going to try and grow as much as possible. All of you but you especially because you think you are following the right thing and that's the most dangerous kind of person.

You're going to end up just like me spoke."

I mean. Ash was right. Spoke does want more, Spoke does want to collect more items and become rich, Spoke does want material wealth and in return, power. Spoke is a cause of destruction, embodiment of havoc, and he's going to take down reddoons to get what he wants. Thats what males spoke dangerous.

And maybe that entire 9 minute speech in the last episode was foreshadowing.

Okay this is getting too long-- One last thing! The music on day 98 DRASTICALLY changes and reverts back to serious UU music. Why? Because Spoke has finally now had social interaction, it notably changed when he's talking to Ash and reveals himself.

The dragon egg is mentioned, and Ash said he sold and whaddya know? the music reverts back to the styupid 2016 music. The music very heavily contributes to knowing Spokes mental state, the entire time that stupid 2016 music is playing, he's gone, back in a fever dream like state and the moment he talks with ash he SNAPS out of it.

Material wealth and a want of Spokes is mentioned? Boom, back to stupid 2016 music. He FLIPS out, knowing the egg is in Reds hands, it seems awfully like dissociative rage, i wont lie.

These types of structures are like temples to me.

If you're unfamiliar with the above type of structure, let me try to explain it to you. I'm pretty sure there's no official name for it but I call it a texture showcase hall, people typically build them in order to show off all the textures in minecraft in a small but aesthetically arranged space, typically to showcase or test out different minecraft texture packs and shaders.

saw @athina-blaine's ask abt a labru gamer AU so let me present my split second dunmeshi minecraft server thoughts

• thistle: created the server. Refuses to budge on the rules he put in place on day one, except for like 2 notable exceptions. Barely plays but always memorable when he does, builds the weirdest shit and then logs off for months at a time

• delgal: notable exception #1, he asked thistle to make it normal survival mode instead of hardcore bc it was too high stress. used to play very frequently until he got a new PC and moved on to other games. thistle has forbidden the other players from destroying the castle he made

• senshi: has taken it upon himself to do all of the farming and cooking in the game, has figured out the best ways to make the most efficient farms, is wildly talented w redstone but only in terms of making it easier to grow crops and breed friendly mobs. eagerly awaits new food recipes with each update

• laios: has made it his personal goal to capture each of the hostile mobs and keep it in his base as a personal monster showcase. Goes on hour-long mining excursions to fortify his base because the blazes and ghasts keep destroying their enclosures. Wants to find an ender portal but just to get shulker boxes, determined to figure out how to defeat the ender dragon without killing it

• falin: notable exception #2, she asked thistle to turn on keep inventory because she kept exploring and getting too lost but she didn't want to die and lose all of her stuff. has heard stories about the limits of the world borders and the farlands and is determined to find them. Good at avoiding hostile mobs but not at keeping herself alive so she tends to die from starvation or falls, senshi's most frequent visitor when she stocks up for her next excursion

• chilchuck: started playing to understand the game better when his daughters got into it, now it's developed into a guilty pleasure. The one who supplies the rest of the gang with materials as needed, loves the grind of collecting a billion stacks of cobblestone and dirt. Goes to the end w laios just to collect endstone, same w the nether. Also responsible for keeping the chests meticulously organized, he gives everyone hell if they mess up his system

• marcille: not usually one for survival games but got hooked when falin showed her the redstone systems and potion making. Has made a machine for everything she possibly could, is currently figuring out a fast travel system in the nether so falin can go further than she normally can in the overworld. Relies on chilchuck to fund all of her projects bc she's deathly afraid of mining and getting blown up by creepers. Goes to the end w laios to see if she can expand on the teleportation mechanics of ender pearls (is very disappointed when she can't)

• kabru: joined at laios's request, secretly hated minecraft and preferred the sims but still plays because he found out that you can make your own collection of villagers to trade with and consequently became obsessed. Didn't know about the pillagers and almost rage quit when they killed his villagers and destroyed his progress while laios just tried to catch the ravager to add to his monster zoo. Now recruits laios whenever pillagers show up bc he doesn't want to deal with the raids

• izutsumi: banned for griefing when she lured a creeper into a wing of delgal's castle where she'd put a bunch of tnt

Day 1: Dec 2

ZSMA:  It’s the anniversary of the series that started it all! Spanning four years, Zedaph’s Super Minecraft Adventure showcases Zed’s growth as a creator and contains countless silly moments! Farms and western villages, breakups and singing and time travel! Whether you embrace a younger Zedaph, a best build, or a favorite moment, it’s a blast from the past!

Free space: We know that Zed’s earliest series is also one that many haven’t seen, so this day is also open to anything that anyone wants to make! Get crazy with it! The only limit is your own imagination!

Day 2: Dec 3

Hermitcraft 5-6: Caves of crystal and bases galore, we’re going back in time! Featuring lovely characters such as Worm Man and Zedeath, season 5 and 6 give a lot to work with! The rise of the gaming district and the iconic Is That Sheep Looking At Me? entertained the Hermits, and our hero still found time to try his hand at aerial livestock delivery! The following season saw a Jack (Er. Zed?) of all bases, with 5 in total, but no one official base to call his own. Truly, the season of embodying what it means to be a hermit!

Hels: From the mind of Hermitcraft’s own Welsknight, Hels has taken the fandom by storm with its intrigue and possibilities. Explore what Zed’s own Hels could be like, create an elaborate theory where he is a Hels, or where he doesn’t have one at all! If anyone would transcend the rules of the universe to relax and simply share a meal with Evil Xisuma in the most dismal part of the universe, it’s surely the birthday boy.

Day 3: Dec 4

Hermitcraft 7-8: Settling into the Hermitcraft server, seasons 7 and 8 pushed our existing knowledge of Minecraft! From the Cave of Contraptions to the Sciscraper, Zedaph made it his mission to discover the secrets of Hermit psychology as well as some of the most useless functions in the game! Hang out for a round of golf or come up with an even less efficient contraption! There’s plenty of time for a new completely ethical experiment; the moon isn’t getting any bigger…Right?

Oddity:  Zed’s brain and body don’t quite work like anyone else’s, but that’s all the more reason to love him! This is a day to embrace everything that makes Zed peculiar, or to enjoy the peculiarities that he loves right back!

Day 4: Dec 5

Hermitcraft 9-10: Up for a challenge? This pair of seasons has plenty! Try your hand at an advancement or gamification, or design one for our guy! From falling at world height to cheeky spying to getting his friends caught on fire by an angry furnace, these seasons bring plenty of fun! Maybe get a little meta yourself and add a sneaky game to whatever you create!

Death: It’s a well-known fact that Zedaph toys with the cycle of death and life! To me, this seems like a great day to celebrate the way Zedaph celebrates death, whether it be his hundredth demise, making a game of ushering souls, or testing the limits of respawn! 

Day 5: Dec 6

Create: It’s important to properly enrich your Zedaph by letting him play with wrenches and gears with his eccentric friend every so often. Bite into a honeyed apple and feel the rush of being catapulted! Or catapulting your friends! Catapult everything!

Alternate Universe: Put this boy in a situation!!! Get creative and share the role another Zedaph plays (heh) in your story, whatever it may be! Alternatively, try and stop Zed from falling into another universe all on his own. He’s got portal technology, you know!

Day 6: Dec 7

Kris & Jack:  As long as I, Ell Cillpiines, am running this event, there will be always be a KnJ day. This is a day to appreciate Zed’s second channel in all of its filmy frenzied goodness and cast of characters! (D.I.)Why? Because a world without Kris & Jack isn’t a world I would want to be in!

Day 7: Dec 8

For my next electric locomotive build in Minecraft, here is the mighty Great Northern W-1. The chassis was used from CraftyFoxe's Union Pacific Coal Turbine build since No. 5018 was reused for the coal turbine of course (credit to CraftyFoxe BTW). As for building the rest of the locomotive, the only challenging part for me was to build the slanted streamlined noses on the two ends of the locomotive. But other than that, it was an easy build. Happy Thanksgiving!

Lottie bought the game, plays only on pc. However, she doesn't watch videos of the game or tutorials or anything apart from the herobrine creppypasta from 2013 and therefore wants to summon it.

YOU WATCH AS THE SNOW FALLS SLOWLY TO THE GROUND

A blanket of white has got you and the guests at your house locked in for the night. You weren’t very happy with these strangers staying at your house for the night—In fact, you had just been completely shut down by your dad when you asked him to kick them out. It was obvious why he did that, but this definitely had to be your least favorite christmas out of the eight you had been through.

You snap out of your thoughts, continuing to eat whatever you had left on your plate, hesitating when you saw the amount of vegetables still left.

“Mom! I’m full.” You try to hide your plate from her, showing her instead a pout with a hand on your stomach. 

It didn’t work—obviously, so you were stuck at the table, a frown on your face as you forced in the greens. Across from you, a boy your age, who didn’t seem to mind, he almost looked like he was enjoying it.

That’s impossible though, no one likes vegetables. Maybe he was doing it so Santa would get him an extra special gift?

You grumble when he finishes his place, showcasing his plate that had been licked clean to his mom. He stared at you for a second looking down at your—full plate then looking back at his mom, she said “Great job Heeseung!”. He returns his plate to the table with a smile. 

Stabbing your fork back into your food, you stuff it into your face, hoping that you would enjoy it as much as Heeseung did. Again, it didn’t work, and the bitter taste returned to your mouth.

After what felt like hours of groaning and complaining, you had taken the last bite of your food, a proud smirk on your face when you made eye contact with the boy from earlier, who only smiled at you in return. 

Throwing away your plastic plate, you realized that now it was present time, and Santa just had to reward you for your good deeds.

Rushing over to the tree, you spot everyone gathered around the area, opening their presents. You run to your present, recognizing the wrapping paper from last year. Looking at your mom for approval, she nods and you tear apart the paper, lifting up the box inside.

You squeal when you see the picture, you had been begging your mom for weeks for a Lego set, specifically if it was minecraft themed. And Santa had gotten you just that. You hug the box, squeezing it. You exclaim a loud “Thank you Santa!” before running up to your room to assemble the build.

Reading the directions, you start the house, quickly getting confused on how it isn’t looking like how it does in the picture. 

“I think that’s the wrong piece.” A voice says, you whip your head around to see the same boy who sat across from you.

“Who are you?” Your eyebrows furrow at the sight, confused on why those were the first words he said instead of “Hi!” or something.

“My name’s Heeseung—Um, my mom told me to come upstairs and said we should be friends. Do you want to be friends?” 

You huff, “I’m Y/n. Also no, I don’t want to be friends, you’re mean.” You force your legos together, frustrated already with the pieces. You continue to reread the directions, pushing—what you think are—the exact legos to the board. But it doesn’t seem like it’ll fit. Maybe if you push it harder?

“Oh—okay.” You jump slightly, too focused to realize how he's been watching you for the past few minutes. “Do you need some help?”

Yes, you need help. But did you want to accept his help?  . This was your christmas gift from Santa, you shouldn’t have to share.

Glancing at the picture then to the building that had looked like an abstract rendition of it, you let out a sigh. I mean, it wouldn’t hurt, right? “Yeah, I guess.”

He takes a seat on the carpet next to you, focusing hard on the directions before breaking off the wrong pieces, reassembling it so you’ll be on the right track.

“Does this go here, do you think?” “No, it goes here.”  That was a summary of what the conversation was between you, and somehow you were always the one asking the question. Sighing, you lean back, taking a short stretch break before starting again.

You’re shocked at his speed and efficiency, it almost seems like he’s always a step ahead of you. Geez does this guy ever slow down? 

The roles are quickly switched as you are sitting watching him instead. Rummaging through each box only for his eyes to lighten up one he finds the right one. You watch him for a while, getting a break that you very much needed.

You hope that he waits for you to finish it, or that he doesn’t completely do it all by himself because again,  it’s your Christmas gift, and he wouldn’t do that, right?

Not right, because apparently he’s a machine—he finishes the build. He stands up, pushes his stupid glasses up also and smiles at you, heading to the door. You think he’s going to say something else like “Sorry for taking away your present!” instead, he thanks you for sharing and happily skipping away. 

Heeseung. Even his name infuriates you. He was very unpredictable and you hated that. Why did he just do that? He’s so rude. People don’t make sense—especially boys, they have cooties.

Your head was filled with calling him the rudest things you could think of—You even said a few curse words.

Though later you realized that you probably would never see him again, you were ecstatic, so ecstatic you had disassembled your legos just to rebuild it, to completely forget about your bad experience with the boy. 

Only two weeks later were you disappointed to see that same boy, sitting across from you during dinner once again.

Ah yes, one of the earliest instances of the main story creeping into Minecraft Diaries, the first scene to showcase two characters being voiced by different people and having a conversation, a moment that truly builds intrigue and layers into the story that's being told--

aaaAAA you phrasing it like makes it sound like an au and not just, this is how foxx imagines how ranked and mcsr works in general in her universe. I just called it my ranked au because i wanna distinguish it from cine’s HQ. (which is great i just have, my own setting)

Ok so, i’m gonna focus on the ranked part and not the entire history of speedrunning and how the universe works (worlds and servers and shit) and other specific player’s origin stories. i think i elaborate on some of this in YSML but thats 20k words of vstrid being stupid so i’ll do a lore dump here.

Basically, most mcsr facilities and housing is located in a place called the Universe’s edge. which is, exactly what the name suggests, a sanctuary at the edge of the universe, outside of Worlds, for speedrunners to reside in. I don’t think i need to go too far into detail about some of the oddities for that place so lets go straight into Ranked.

Basically, at Universe’s Edge, there’s a few district like areas for different catagories of speedrunning, the AA district, the RSG district, the SSG district and recently, the ranked district. once the idea was proposed they built the whole place up, with the major facilities being:

- A Ranked Hub building, this is where all the administration happens, and it’s also home to the queue lounges and some of the practice setups

- The apartments, not all mcsrranked players actually live here, some prefer their own worlds and some live in other districts. (Someone like Oxi has moved between both here and the AA district for example). Basically simple apartment complex, has solo and duo rooms.

- And an event space, for hosting playoffs and other ranked events. I don’t have a floorplan in my head but i imagine there’s like a stage and a screen for the matches, as well as participant lounges backstage.

There are some other buildings around, for like food and other general, social things but those are the main three.

Every ranked player has an emblem, it looks like a little metal badge and showcases your current elo, as well as some of your accomplishments (they’re like the little player stats cards on the leaderboard website.). Some display it openly, while some dont, it also acts like a keycard to get into the practice rooms + lounges + your apartment.

I have a slightly more fantastical view of how the minecraft universe works so my ranked view is also quite fantastical. Basically when you queue a match, you’ll just be warped into the world ranked made for your match and you would need to play it out. Think of them like little pocket dimensions.

“How do players who Don’t have access to the Universe Edge play ranked?” You may ask! Or you won’t, because I haven’t specified how UE works. And that’s where I tell you the Ranked client is something that players can install onto their communicators. It basically allows players to queue into a match from literally anywhere.

Uhm. So what else… I can’t think of anything off the top of my head lol. If you think of something specific I can answer that too or maybe I’ll just make something up.
