They did it.... They added chicken 2 to Minecraft...

Fire cocks and ice cocks make their way into Minecraft!! We also got new eggs, dry grass in the deserts, and CACTUS FLOWERS?????

They just keep going with the ambience... It's actually such a fun drop.

Fireflies are BACK in the game!

This was announced way back in 2021. They were never implemented because someone told Mojang that “fireflies are poisonous to frogs.” Originally frogs were going to be able to eat fireflies, and this scared them so they backed off from introducing fireflies.

But now they’re BACK! As a particle effect attached to a new plant! At night (or when the plant is covered in darkness) firefly particles will start to emit from the plant. Much like the spore blossom, but upside down!

Will be found near rivers and swamps.

If you play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and you have glitched invincible mobs, you need to watch this and take action before the spring drop releases! Mojang will delete your invincible mobs if you don't fix them!

Ideas for a sequel to the current nature Minecraft drop:

Cold and warm sheep variants (super original I know)

Snow logging (ability to put snow inside of most non-solid blocks such as plants and slabs)

Snow covered leaves now get winter colours (parity with bedrock)

Frost tipped short and tall grass (spawns in snow covered grassy biomes)

Pine needle litter for spruce forests

Fallen branches beneath trees (can be crafted into sticks)

Pebbles, 3D model which can be stacked up to 3 like candles (9 can be crafted into cobblestone, spawns occasionally in grassy biomes, most commonly in caves, windswept gravelly hills, and stony shores)

Yellow fox variant (spawns in oak and birch forests)

Blue berries bush (more of a light green colour, spawns in same biomes as yellow fox as well as the plains and meadow biome)

Berry bush now renamed cranberry bush

Blueberry pie

Brown temperate variety of the polar bear (Spawns in oak and dark oak forests)

Bear spawn egg now shaped as brown bear

They did it... They added pig 2 to Minecraft....

We got the ice hogs and the fire hogs.

But we also got LEAF LITTER and new WILDFLOWERS IN THE BIRCH FORESTS???

Falling leaves for every leaf block too now! Seems like we're having ourselves a little naturey content drop this time!

So back during the Caves and Cliffs update there were teasers for other biomes being adjusted and enhanced too, and one of the concept arts was this gorgeous painting of a birch forest.

It included mushrooms on trees, new bright sunny flowers, fallen logs, leaf litter, and fireflies! And people were excited! What a cool way to enhance the biome and make it so much richer than just trees and grass!

Then… someone pointed out that fireflies are bad for frogs (a recently added mob) and Mojang got scared and pulled the plug and said they weren’t going to finish this concept.

And naturally this has been a point of contention for the community for YEARS. 3 years to be exact lol.

But then out of nowhere… for the spring drop coming soon..

Fireflies as a particle effect attached to a plant you can move around wherever you want.

Fallen logs of ALL tree varieties. Some with mushrooms that grow on them.

Leaf litter! Dead leaves that you can use as fuel for your furnace!

New sunny and bright flowers!

It took them 3 years but they seem like they finally committed to giving us what we wanted! Can we call this the engoodening of Mojang?

I love the pale garden and how it's like a parallel to dark forests. I love how the two divert expectations.

Dark forests, despite their name, are saturated and full of life. Even compared to regular forests, there's a lot more biodiversity than many of the "basic" biomes. There's three whole different trees found there, giant mushrooms, and plenty of flowers. They're one of the biomes capable of spawning a lush cave underneath it. It has its dangers just like any other overworld biome, obviously, but it's nothing overly more than anywhere else. Traversing it can be tricky sometimes and illagers may take residence in the biome's woodland mansions, but it's ultimately a very colorful and lively environment.

Opposing it is the new pale garden. Usually white and light colors are seen as pristine and good, but the pale garden takes it the opposite direction and goes right into uncanny valley territory. It has none of the color of dark forests, none of the biodiversity, none of the liveliness. It has trees and moss that look familiar, but something is off. It has a signature mob, but even the creaking is just a puppet of the trees, not really sentient, not really even plotting against anything. There's "life", but, once again, it's wrong.

I think the pale garden is a wonderful addition to Minecraft's world building as it is, but the deliberate parallel to dark forests? Delicious.

5) the team has already made a decision about whether the dark lord is going to come back, but nonetheless — he will be seen in the upcoming video.

11) to alan, cg communicate more "telepatically" with each other. the text in influencer arc could be seen as green translating their communication to something the viewers could understand!

12) interpersonal cg relationships will be explored in the new minecraft season!

13) the mercenaries production names have been officially (although, perhaps by accident) dropped: lasco for primal (referencing the lascaux caves), eztoon for ballista, gui for agent, sign/pedestrian for hazard

14) hazard, corndog guy and red got they/themed. lol

(also! when talking about the mystery white stickfigure, when referred with 'he', muno (the lead developer of aversus) questioned it ("he?"), and the team said its not yet specified if, well. if the stick figure is a "he". please give us a nonmale living character i Beg of thee ...)

15) cg doesn't have an official age, but they could be seen as teenagers-early 20s (thank god)

16) the abteam is considering minisodes proposed by the community! (such as proposed chosen & dark minisodes , rocketcorp slice of life)

17) alan thinks purple's birthday would be in february (no set date)

18) chosen will get more characterization in the future

19) some known artists in the community (such as anglermann, @sushiree, @flareboi, @cindersnows, @ , @ornziy, @itslilacokay, pasteldragon, @comyetani, realvegemite, @wretchedvictim, qr_png, hoodedjelly have been noticed on stream by the team !!! congrats !!! :D

39) when asked about what happens to stickfigures after they die, alan replied that that their code is still there — but it's kind of "disconnected". it'd be impossible for someone in the living dimension to take that code and put it back together (alan (jokingly? half jokingly???) notes: "unless you're the second coming"). "it's kind of like when you're programming, and you change one line and then all of a sudden all of the code is unusable. it's still there, it's just not attached to the right dimension”.
