my horses! (wip)

most of these horses are rescue horses that i got for cheap or free. funding from the silverglade manor helps me care for them, big big shoutout to silverglade's baroness for her sponsorship!!

dawns last wishes/"dawn" (gen 2 lippizan) - dawn is a 30 year old lippizaner mare! shes been close with me since she was 17 and i was 9. i met dawn when i was helping around my local stable, and she had just arrived as a retired broodmare. i bought her for cheap off of her original owner when i turned 14! she can be spirited but she is never not gentle. dawn is the dearest to my heart.

freckled archangel/"angel" (gen 3 lippizan) - my baby boy! hes a 7 year old lippizaner gelding, and he is dawn's grandson!! hes spunky and super affectionate, knocked me over more than once trying to snuffle me. right now we do some jumping together and we love a good trailride, but our main thing together is flatwork.

charlotte (american saddlebred) - charlotte is a queen of a mare, around 20 years old. she came from a bad background; after years of TLC she wont let anyone stand in her way. its her barn, we just live in it. despite the attitude, shes charmed everyone. [authors ooc note: charlotte was a horse i knew irl. SSO released the american saddlebreds and i excitedly bought the one identical to her just a few weeks before she passed. shes very dear to me!]

promise you pearls/"pearl" (gen 3 icelandic) - one of the stable hands at steve's found this girl tied to a fence in the everwind fields, and i couldnt help myself from volunteering to take her. her sweet face said it all! we know none of her history, but suspect her to be around 13 years old. she loves to cross any kind of terrain, especially if its wet. ive given up on keeping her white.

questioning leaves/"forest" (ardennes) - this gentle 7 year old is everything. hes still very new to the barn, and he is very nervous, but he is so softhearted! the baroness bought him for eventing potential but quickly found he was not as advertised. he prefers to go on trail rides through quiet spaces, and ive been working with him a lot lately.

aquamarine (gen3 etb) - my goofy little gelding. we dont know how old he is for sure but somewhere around 15. he was up for slaughter when we got him. i found out he is half blind, and we are still working on a lot of stuff, but hes so willing to do anything for his rider <3

harvest moon/"harvest" (american saddlebred w chimerism) - an 8 year old gelding! his fascinating color comes from chimerism, i like calling him patches. he loves to nibble hair and hes very spunky horse to ride. he was given up by his previous owner and i ended up getting him from steve.

The College of Elemental Arts

“The art students of Strixhaven, Prismari mages see no difference between magic and art. Their spells are spectacles of raw creativity: masterpieces of showy, over-the-top magic. Each Prismari student uses elemental magic to express who they are and how they see the world, and often use more than one element. Fire, ice, water, wind, earth, stone, lightning, heat, cold, snow, tornadoes, earthquakes, the rumbling pulse of pure energy—any elemental force can be a Prismari muse and medium.

The Dichotomy of Prismari

Blue

The blue side of Prismari deals with artistic training and study, visualization, precise technique, and artistic theory. Many Prismari blue mages, of course, are elementalists—artists who devote themselves to blue-aligned subdisciplines of elemental magic. Cloud conjurers, mistmages, zephyrists, skybrushers, vortex virtuosos, waterbinders, ice sculptors, huesplashers—all of these are mage-students and professors who express their art through air, water, and other elements. Beyond that, aesthemancers and compositionists study abstract principles of beauty. Splendor diviners and vistamancers find truth within beautiful sights or in personal visions. Opusmancers and master creators create huge, over-the-top magical effects. Avant-guardians embrace conceptual, counterintuitive leaps of brilliance.

Red

As with blue, many red-aligned Prismari mages are some flavor of elementalist. Geosculptors, flameshouters, lava mavens, emberbrushes, stonebenders, electrovisionaries, stormpainters—all of these express their emotional truth through fire, earth, and other elements. Beyond that, spectacle mages and wonderworkers hurl wondrous, stormy displays into the sky—often to amuse or distract rather than to cause harm. Heartragers turn their inner creative fire into personal strength, while muse channelers project their own momentary blasts of inspiration into others. Ruleburners and blast innovators use their art to shatter stereotypes and customs (and, quite often, property).

Locations

Conjurat Hall

A towering structure with a glassed-in observation area at the top, encircled by constantly changing strands of elemental energy. Artist-mages can see for miles from the Conjurot's main turret, and the view has inspired many artistic creations.

Opus Walk

A winding path through the central campus buildings, along which hundreds of Prismari elemental creations are displayed. Some of the more famous pieces of magical art have been displayed along the Opus Walk for centuries, while other transient bursts of creativity last only a few moments.

Furygale

A notorious region of the Prismari campus where the abandoned creations of thousands of past artist-mages have coalesced over the years. Roped off by wards and warning signs, Furygale is several square blocks of ever-changing magical energies, gales of ice and wind and fire, and elementals gone rogue. It's inherently dangerous but also a source of wild creative inspiration, and despite its dangers, it remains a popular spot for students who want to duel without being interrupted by authority figures.

College Mascot: Elementals

To the mages of Prismari, elemental creatures are a form of living art. Mages sculpt artistic shells from a fusion of raw elements, then conjure living elemental energy to inhabit the shells. The result is a powerful creature capable of expressing sublime emotions . . . and wreaking wanton destruction. The inner core of a Prismari elemental might be a churning force of fire, wind, ice, water, lava, or solid rock.”

Was an art gallery curator when she first crossed paths with Locke, who was roughly nine years older than her. She initially thought he was endearingly dorky. 

Went on pregnancy/maternal leave for Knuckles with every intention of being a working but doting mom eventually. Then Locke started vanishing with the baby for hours or days at a time without telling her jack shit other than “Guardian Business, none of your affair.” Everything slowly went to hell as she began realizing what kind of person he really was.

After Locke took Knuckles and vanished from the city zone seemingly for good, she spent over a year in a deep depression. She began trying to contact him through the EST almost monthly to beg to see Knuckles, but always got blown off.

Tried to go back to her old job once she’d mostly pulled herself together, but her heart wasn’t in it anymore. Took on an archivist position instead. Had saved wisely, and could afford the pay cut.

Took to walking the city in her free time, hoping that maybe, just maybe she would run into Locke and/or their son. Met Wyn this way, when a storm stole her umbrella and he caught it for her.

Not being allowed to be a mother for fifteen years caused her maternal instincts to kick into overdrive when she finally met Knuckles again. Besides insisting he could stay with her, she helped Julie-Su to get and furnish a place of her own and often visited. She probably would have adopted the rest of the Chaotix and most of the Freedom Fighters had she not had a second child.

After Thrash imprisoned her and the rest of Albion in The Mists, she finally got fed up with only being able to watch from the sidelines as those around her fought or suffered, and enlisted the help of Clea, a Mistmage. In accordance with her soul core, she primarily learns healing and shielding, with combat to come later.

Tell me more about Tenno, tell me fact, anything.. FEED MY CURIOSITY ABOUT HER.

Allrighty!- Tenno used to have a sister, Zarri, who died when they were way younger. Fresh out of college young. She never mentions her, or how she died.- She incorporates a lot of her imagination into reality, naming inventions and ideas after games she plays, as escapism.- She got involved in an asura gate accident that trapped her in the Mists for close to a year, which perverted her elementalist control into Mist magic affinity. She also occasionally hears and sees Zarri, but not the same way a revenant legend appears to people.- She has the Tyria equivalent of todays gaming channels, on Asuranet, under the moniker Girl Genius Tenno. She does letsplays, vlogs, and livestreams. She actually streams it live whenever she goes out with her adventurer team.- The Mist trip left her with a variation of chronic fatigue, that constantly burns her magic up. Normally, this is not a problem, as she rarely magicks, and thus it regenerates properly to keep balance. But if she fights and uses excessive amounts, her body shuts down and she can’t function at all.- Normal sicknesses make her very vulnerable because of this. She concocted a medicine herself, that acts similar as an energy drink in pill form, to keep herself from fizzling out and becoming dangerously depleted.- She has a self-founded, one-asura Krewe, the Lotus of Maguuma, which was a childhood idea of hers and Zarris. She goes out on occasion, to perform vigilante treks around the Jungle, under this ‘creed’.- Her Battleframes are all imbued with mistmagic conducting crystals. She herself sits in an alcove laced with these, in her home, to keep from fizzling out; while she remote controls the Frame.- She is capable of conjuring a portal merely to swap places with one of her Frames. It doesn’t work to just bring her somewhere, or bring just the suits somewhere; it has to be a swap. It is most commonly how she acts in combat situations.
