🖤 Tizio, Genio minimal!

1972. Richard Sapper presenta al mondo un oggetto che non sembra neanche una lampada. Niente fili a vista, niente interruttore. Solo equilibrio, ingegno e una luce direzionabile come un pensiero.

Quello che pochi sanno? Quando la progettò, Sapper non voleva “fare design”, voleva una lampada davvero pratica per la sua scrivania, che non lo costringesse a cambiare posizione ogni volta che disegnava.Nasce così la base pesante, i bracci bilanciati, e un’idea tanto semplice quanto rivoluzionaria: la corrente passa direttamente nei bracci, che fungono da conduttori.Nessun cavo a vista, solo struttura e funzione che si fondono.

Quando la propose ad Artemide, molti pensarono fosse impossibile da produrre. Ma Ernesto Gismondi accettò la sfida. E il resto è storia del design.

Si racconta che Stanley Kubrick ne avesse una nel suo studio personale. Non è mai apparsa nei suoi film, ma avrebbe illuminato i suoi storyboard e appunti, mentre scriveva le sue sceneggiature. Perfetta per un regista che amava il controllo e l’intelligenza formale.

24:Visiting museums and walking around town

On our third day in New York, I got started walking in the city as usual. I went to the Frick Collection,Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Times Square, Bryant Park, and finally did some shopping at Whole Foods Market before returning to my room.
