the way her eyes are closed, the way the head is tilted as if to make room to feel, the way the hair flows in a current we can't see but is implied; the way her hands are up to her chest, not clenched, but as if they are holding onto something dear; the way the water flows around her neck in fluid, gentle motion, the way the fish follow, lights in the ocean this piece casts us in the very moment we see it, as if nothing else matters in that moment, the serenity and calm that this piece exudes, with its cool colors and warm lights; I can't help but be captured in an emotion.

I have never been more invested in a cliffhanger (I mean I probably have, but hyperbole ya'know?)

Isemi is shit at the keyboard, the show makes this clear, but GODDAMN is she charming. Clearly trying her best, falling asleep while standing up due to exhaustion, having patches on her hands because of practice, and all-around being a bit of a klutz, it's admirable.

and sort of painfully relatable in a way...

I didn't think I'd connect with her like I have. She's obviously a bit pure and innocent compared to the rest of the band and when she was introduced all I saw was a naive girl who didn't quite understand what she was getting into, but she was still serious about it nonetheless.

In this episode you can see she's trying, you can see she's progressing even. It's like when you get caught up in something new, something you like, and something that you want to get better at, and maybe you do get better at it. But it's painful, because it's not exactly fair. She's playing with people who have been playing for far longer than she has and knows far more than she does and no matter how much work she puts in, no matter how fast she progresses for a beginner, she's realistically just not gonna be able to catch up in such a short time. It's not fair, but it's real.

It's real and I feel it. And now she's confronted about it!? She's doing well, she's happy she's making progress, and now she's given a reality check... The way that would make you feel, the way that would shatter anything that came before,

I really want to see how they handle this next episode. I'm rooting for Isemi, I just can't help but to.
