🔵🖤ERODE 🖤🔵Tell me how it is We're one step closer We're moving slower On the right tracks Tell me how it is We're moving forward We've been so tortured By all of this Oh, like an island surrounded by a deep blue sea You're the waves that push and pull against me You wash me away, bit by bit I will slowly erode till there's nothing left If you want me like that, that's who I'll be And if you love me right back, I could be anything It's like this and like that I think I'm starting to crack Then you'll leave and come back The odds are starting to stack Against me Against me #TENDER#LosAngeles#LA @theechola @tenderofficialmusic @danielccobb @jamesstephencullen @joshgimber #edm#electro#house#ModernAddiction (at The Echo)

Send “🌀” to find my muse, injured and alone after being beaten up
It was near, exhilarating, he near thought to himself, his crumpled body, laying next to a bail of hay, hidden deep behind the confines of wooden barn doors. He sat slumped over, his arms draped against a large metallic, rod if you will, leaning high against his shoulder. He could sense it, the movement, the echo striking in the distance. Foot steps, drawing nearer. A sharp panting followed, a sound he had come all to familiar with.
How long had it been? He could hardly remember really. The events of the past view days were somehow merged together, disorienting him to the point where he couldn’t define the separation there. He was no stranger to late nights, to going on weeks with next to no sleep. He knew how to collect himself, to carry himself, reserve his strength. But even for him, running for four days and four nights, it was starting to take it’s toll. But he needed time, enough for the bruises to heal, and the confinement spell to dissipate. As such, he did what any logical individual would do in his position. He ran.
His pride was not a factor, he knew the moment he crushed bones beneath his fingers, he would lose his life to someone greater than he. It was only a matter of time. However, this was not the moment he planned on losing his life. Oh no, the male youkai was way too stubborn towards this obstinate problem. He couldn’t deny himself after all, he wasn’t a coward, but he wasn’t stupid. Manami Kiba was one above all else, he was a survivor.
So he ran, and what happens when one runs, one gets chased. Berating him, using his quick tongue like he did, he knew it was a matter of time before then man was at his heels. If he could even consider this corruption of mortality a man. However, give the carnivore a chance, he will hunt. Suppose in this little game, the wolf youkai himself, would have to play the hunted. But that was fine, all he needed was attention. He was a distraction, and oh, was he good at the game of interruption.
Even someone like him, was bound to be wrong once in a century.
He could sense the presence, more so then he could ever feel a witch, he felt the aura of his hunter. Something he had never encountered before. It was unlike him, unlike humans, a being that existed he couldn’t describe. Intelligent as well, it didn’t take the beast long to figure out Kiba’s superior speed, the heightened abilities of his race. Not only to comprehend it, but to match it as well.
That moment, was when everything shifted, the man contorting to something he could hardly describe. It was almost a creature deprived from a childs nightmare. The monstrous scent, was almost enough to send his head spinning. Still, he just needed to buy time, just a little more time.
He sat there, his eyes trained on the far wall of the barn. He could run, hard enough, and fast enough to get a little ahead. But he learned quickly, hiding, there was never a point. Eventually, he would catch up, sniffing him out like a vulture towards a dead corpse, picking out the stench of rotting flesh. Perhaps the only thing keeping him alive, his intelligence. Each minute he spent with the creature, he spent learning. It’s strengths, it’s weaknesses. But by the fifth day, and dawning upon the fifth night, he discovered something. He was getting pushed to his own physical limit.
He had only one option at this point, running was no longer becoming an option. Still, he was silently waiting, sitting alone, trapped behind the soft, brittle, wooden walls. He released a breath, lifting the last cigarette out of his pack, and placing it between his lips. He took a hand, pushing the sweat against his stark black hair, smudging the line of blood against his tan skin. His head dipped against the ripped fabric of his shirt pocket, fishing out the small box of matches.
The smell of gasoline, was enough to get him high. To ignite a soft hum in his throat, slowly waiting. His head rolling against his shoulders, allowing the deep inhale of tobacco to fill his lungs. He held it for a moment, getting up against the damp muddy ground below him. His toes sunk in, feeling the coating of the ignition fluid. He could hear it, the cracking of bark, the enormous bounding body braking and shattering everything in its path. He waited, waited until the wooden walls came down. And when it did, and the vein coated rotten flesh of him appeared.
It happened within a split second, the youkai moving against the force of gravity, eyes pulsing a deep red, the color flooding his iris and taking hold. He held the metal rod, springing himself through the air, he plunged the rod deep into the chest of the beast. He aimed for the heart, but knew, with the beasts strength, that was unattainable. But, when the sharp end pierced the skin, and dark fluid spewing out, he knew he caught an artery.
Still, standing back, he watched the rod be plucked from the creatures chest like one would extract a tiny prick. Kiba couldn’t help but grin, a defeated smirk crawling against his lips, quirking upwards. “Someone--, someone really fucked up to create something like you,” he mused, his voice drawing out, partially muffled from the cigarette he held between his lips. “Don’t worry, I really didn’t think that would work. You do seem a lot more imperishable, than a little neanderthal method like that, however--.”
He paushed, taking another drawl upon the burning herb against his lips. He took the booklet against his fingers, using his thumb and index finger, he struck the match head, igniting it in a tiny soft flame. Behind her, the walls were stacked to the ceiling in tannerite, pushed in front of them, a large outside generator. Everything, from the back, to the bottom of Kibas own feet, towards the ground where the very creature stood, was soaked in a thick layer of gasoline. There was no escape, no matter how fast you were. There was no escape. For the beast, for him either. But he showed no regret, no remorse as he lifted his head towards him, darkened pointed silver gaze, towards the bright blood red ones of his own. He simply enlighten his features with a wide, wide grin. Allowing the soft flame between his fingers, to fall back of his legs.
“Usually what follows plan A my friend, is a plan B,” the last of his words left him. The entire barn, igniting in flames in a matter of seconds, consuming all that inhabited it. The orange hands, cackled and cracked the wood as it took hold, taking over everything it touch. It was almost like, the entire countryside had gone silent, the world, stopping on its axis. A moment, a soft inhale.
Everything after, within a 10 mile radius, blew sky high.

New #QuestionMarc #song "Modern Addiction" now up on #SoundCloud & #reverbnation I had been waiting for what to have the title track of the last 3 #ModernAddiction #albums be about. What could possibly addict the mind worse than all the shit I like to recreate with? Then it all hit. It's about how somehow we let the speed of information allow us to not read up on facts, truths, and caring for basic human rights, and care more for a 140 character tweet (no offense social media, you're just the patsy here). Moral of the story, #fuckdonaldtrump #lasvegas #lasvegasmusic #dtlv #rap #rnb #producer #beats #music #studio #recording #newmusic #1stamendment #humanrights #wewillholdyouaccountable #queezusbeat #queezuspreach #QueezusIsMyHomeboy

Good Adults Don’t Live Their Lives Through Their Phones
I’ve been feeling these days that my phone has taken over my life, which is an issue most people seem to have these days. We have no tolerance to boredom any more and every moment of our free time is spent watching content which adds little value to life.
Moreover, we have become the product sold by all social media. Eyes on a screen every single hour of each day scrolling through ads which promise you’re just one purchase away from being exactly who you want to be. This might sound a little dramatic but I feel like most people aren’t aware of the power social media has on them.
As I’m writing this, my phone calculates I spend and average of four hours on my phone each day and I know for a fact I’m not one of the worst ones. I have constantly been around people I’m having a conversation with who can’t keep their attention for longer than two minutes. This not only with my friends but with people I work with who ask me questions but don’t ever bother to listen to the answers.
As the movie “When We Where Young” put it, being rude has become the new normal. When someone decides to look at their phone at a meeting or dinner table, it’s the cue for all others present to take out their phones too. We have forgotten what it’s like to be around each other without having the ability of checking out whenever we feel like it.
In addition, our phones allow us to look into other people’s ideal versions of themselves and have us think that those versions are not really far from the truth. Envy is the modern world’s biggest commodity because we will forever be striving to look or be a certain way which in reality is non-existent.
It has now become common to see artists at their concerts asking people to put their phones away, to be present and in the moment because you’ll never live through that exact same experience again. Just a few weeks ago I went to see Sam Smith at a festival and his introduction was a request to have the stars be the only lights to accompany his show. Although a beautiful analogy, it did little in getting people to stop themselves from recording his show just so that they could tell others that they where there.
I feel like we have become people who only do things for others to see. Different youtubers have stated that they go to Coachella, not because they can see their favourite artists but because it’s a place where you can get pretty pictures and that to me summarizes how broken our motivations are these days.
We no longer wish to be happy, but to seem happy to others. To have what we do be validated by others. To show how much of what we have or get to do others can only dream of. If we spent a fraction of that energy trying to become the best versions of ourselves in reality, our impact on the world would definitely be a much more positive one.
Go out there and live your best possible life, away from all the curious eyes and see if when no ones watching, you’re really doing the things you enjoy most. It’s time to take a long hard look at yourself and wonder if your phone was taken away, would all the things that provide satisfaction would be taken away with it.
Do you have an actual hobbie or friends you can go out with and enjoy a conversation a fluid conversation. Do you feel the people around you enjoy your company and have you actually been paying attention to what they say to you. When was the last time you completed a task without interruption and can you still focus your undivided attention on something or do you find yourself struggling. Ask yourself these questions and come back to me. I’m pretty sure you’ll be surprised.
“Open your eyes, concludes the man, and see what you can with them before they close forever.” Anthony Doerr - All The Light We Cannot See
