hysterical to me that there's an actual panel of naruto where madara asks tsunade if she's related to hashirama by saying "you've got this guy's blood, right?" and pointing at his own boob. which has hashirama's face on it. like not a tattoo there's an actual face growing out of his tata and he's talking about it like it's an actual person instead of a chunk of flesh he used to fill the literal hole hashirama left in his heart. the story doesn't even take the time to acknowledge how insane this is.

Kakashi who is like twenty and has never been around a baby for more than a few minutes at a time in his entire life but had been a certified genius practically since birth so he is reading every book and paper and study he can get his hands on trying to figure out the best way to parent and what actually works and what milestones he needs to be on the look out for.

He definitely becomes a WebMD hypochondriac mom for a while and freaks out every time Naruto sneezes. There are plenty of breakdowns in Ichiraku’s where he’s tired and freaking out and “Naruto still isn’t sleeping through the night am I a failure as a father?”. Genma comes in his house (uninvited as always) to see him crying out of pure exhaustion and frustration at least twice because Kakashi hasn’t slept for days because what is something happens. Guy is always there with a smile and gentle assurances that Naruto will grow at his own pace and while Kakashi needs to be on the lookout for those milestones that come sooner or later than others the fact that Naruto may take a little bit longer than the books say to go from pulling himself up to actually walking isn’t the end of the world.

Just stressed young dad Kakashi trying his best and barely managing to keep his head above water but he wouldn’t change his life for anything.

And later, confident young dad Kakashi who knows what works for him and his kid even if it isn’t what other parents would consider as normal. Kakashi who lets his kid talk back to him and mall him by his first name nearly as often as he’s called dad. Kakashi who isn’t afraid to tell Naruto when he messed up and Naruto who isn’t afraid to call him on it either. Kakashi who sees family as a team effort and would ever dream of hurting his team.
