out of all the ways to commit suicide, if monaka actually wanted to back out and let them die without her... she could have chosen anything but holding hands on the top of a building intending to jump, when she's in a wheelchair.
how do you figure she'd get out of that, even if she could stand? how about the fact she expresses suicidal thoughts in her private diaries? and what about the fact that she says this during a conversation in which her goal is to piss off komaru enough to push her into making a rash decision?

I’ll do the full-write up tomorrow, but I just finished reading the Zamasu arc in the DBS Manga and I wanted to pop in and say holy shit this is so much better.
I mean, I still have issues with the overall story. A lot of problems are still firmly in place that were present in the anime. The #kisscourse is still there, Trunks’ entire reality getting erased is still there, and the whole Trumai thing is still there.
But at least the manga version is faster paced and there are genuine efforts to explain things that didn’t get explained in the anime. @bluehairlaunch was asking yesterday why Goku Black didn’t make himself immortal along with Future Zamasu, and that’s a great question. The manga actually has an answer!
I was complaining about how in the anime the same amount of time seems to pass in Trunks’ world as in the “main” timeline, which wouldn’t be a problem, except they never explain why they can’t just set the time machine to return them to a few seconds after they left. The manga actually has a scene where they explain that. Bulma’s like “No, we have to do it this way because the timelines are too different now.” And then it turns out later that she’s mistaken, but that’s okay, because at least they had a reason for doing what they did.
The fights in the manga make more sense. There are actual strategies and characters have to figure out how to use their powers to fight more effectively. It’s not just Vegeta getting the shit beat out of him and then jumping right back in to make the save when the others are down. I don’t think any of the Goku/Vegeta/Trunks team get stabbed with an energy blade, which is very refreshing.
I knew I’d feel better once I got past the Zamasu Saga in the anime, but I didn’t think I’d feel this much better so quickly. I was looking forward to the manga version just because I hadn’t read it before, but this was a real breath of fresh air.
So yeah, the wind is at my back now. I’ve covered the worst of Dragon Ball Super, and now what remains is the rest of the anime, which is much better, and the rest of the manga, which I’ve never read before. Everything’s comin’ up Duhragonball!

Goku actually knows Monaka is weak, but he thinks everyone else believes Monaka is strong so he just goes along with it.
