Die Geschichte des Spiels

Last Train Home entführt uns in die Realität des russischen Bürgerkriegs - ein bewaffneter Konflikt, der in den Jahren 1917-1922 stattfand, als die Armeen der Roten (Kommunisten oder Bolschewiken) und der Weißen (alle Organisationen, die die Wiederherstellung des Zarismus anstrebten) um die Macht im Land kämpften. Der Spieler steuert die Aktionen der Soldaten der Tschechoslowakischen Legion, einer realen militärischen Formation, die während des Ersten Weltkriegs aus tschechischen und slowakischen Gefangenen und Deserteuren der österreichisch-ungarischen Armee gebildet wurde. Diese Einheit geriet auf der falschen Seite des Konflikts in Gefangenschaft. Unsere Aufgabe ist es, ihnen zu helfen, mit dem letzten Zug in ihre Heimat zurückzukehren. Der Panzerwagen dient den Soldaten sowohl als Transportmittel durch das wilde, karge und lebensfeindliche Gelände Sibiriens - wobei er nur wenig Schutz vor der allgegenwärtigen Kälte bietet - als auch als Waffe im Kampf gegen die beiden Armeen, die das Land zerreißen.

Spielmechanik

Die Evakuierung Russlands erfordert viele Zwischenstopps - mal gehen die Vorräte an Lebensmitteln oder Medikamenten aus, mal hat der Zug eine Panne und muss repariert werden. Das ist der Moment, in dem Last Train Home zu einem RTS wird. Das Spiel bietet mehr als ein Dutzend herausfordernde Missionen, in denen wir eine Reihe vorgegebener Ziele erreichen müssen, indem wir unsere eigene Taktik wählen. Wie leicht oder schwer diese zu erreichen sind, hängt von verschiedenen Faktoren ab. Einer davon ist die Kampfkraft unserer Soldaten - wenn wir sie hungrig in die Schlacht schicken, ist sie geringer, als wenn sie mit vollem Magen ins Gefecht ziehen. Wichtig ist auch die Taktik, die wir wählen. Manche Aufgaben lassen sich "leise" erledigen, so dass die Wahrscheinlichkeit, im Kampf getötet zu werden, geringer ist. Allerdings ist nicht jeder dafür geeignet, so dass man auf die Veranlagung seiner Schützlinge achten muss. Der Tod von Kameraden oder andere moralisch fragwürdige Entscheidungen, die wir treffen, werden sich in verschiedenen Statuswerten niederschlagen, die den Spielverlauf beeinflussen. Auf jeder Etappe dieser seltsamen Odyssee erfahren wir die Geschichten der Soldaten, die wir befehligen. Ihre Erfahrungen beeinflussen auch das Gameplay - zum Beispiel ihre Neigung zu Depressionen oder wie sie unsere Entscheidungen bewerten. Ashborne Games hat jedoch darauf geachtet, diese "Effekte" auf ein Minimum zu beschränken, so dass Spieler, die Last Train Home nur wegen der Story spielen wollen, nicht durch einen zu hohen Schwierigkeitsgrad abgeschreckt werden.

I think I finally understand why I like the nightingale from Gundam more than the sazabi. It better represents Char's complex as a monster that has to be humanity's villain. It's as close to a mobile armor a mobile suit could be while still being able to be called a mobile suit. It's also got crazy speed which lives up to Char's nickname. It fits together a lot of Char's traits into one package. For me, the Sazabi is just a little....plain. it's sorta like all those Char Custom mobile suits. Char is more... flamboyant than that, at least that late in the first UC. If Char hadn't changed from Deadly Ace Pilot, sure the sazabi would fit. But he's a leader, a politician and a man with strange morals. Char's suit should be part Red Comet and part Propaganda. Sure, the sazabi is fuckin big, but it's got the same features as the Jagd Dogs, even down to funnels. Same number and the exact same design. The nightingale has almost double the funnels, and triple the thrusters. Now that's a flag ship.

Jene Gralshüter einer doppelten Moral, die heute ab 17 Uhr am Dernschen Gelände als „Bündnis für Demokratie“ gegen die Kritiker einer fatalen Flüchtlingspolitik – echte Verfolgte (koptische Familie aus Burbach, Christ in Oberursel) werden hier weiterverfolgt, Islamisten willkommen geheißen – mobil machen, sind vor allem Wahlkampfhelfer der im Landtag vertretenen Blockparteien.

In einer echten Demokratie können Kritiker und unbequeme Mahner ihre Meinung sagen, ohne dass sie mit großen Polizeiaufgeboten geschützt werden müssen. Oder sogar nach einer Demo von staatlich unterstützten Schlägern verprügelt oder bedroht werden. Auch das erinnert an Diktaturen.

Darum ist es wichtig für die Gegenöffentlichkeit, dass am Sonntag um 14 Uhr viele Mitstreiter zum „Dernschen Gelände“ am Wiesbadener Rathaus kommen, um zusammen mit „Hand in Hand“ und „Beweg was“ nicht nur gegen Migrantengewalt, sondern auch für die bedrohte Meinungsfreiheit zu demonstrieren.

Denn die Gegenseite ist in Wahrheit eine 5. Kolonne jener Kräfte, die genau diese „Bunte und weltoffene, demokratische Gesellschaft“ zerstören wollen. Umfragen unter Migranten- veröffentlicht von bekannter Zeitungen - zum Thema „Demokratie, Toleranz gegen anderen Religionen, Homosexualität… “ haben niederschmetternde Ergebnisse erbracht. Das diese Erkenntnisse zu keinem Kurswechsel in der Politik geführt haben, beweist wie wichtig der Protest der Straße ist. Und er zeigt die Nervosität der staatlichen Monopolmächte. Television shows are more varied than most other forms of media due to wide variety of formats genres that can be presented. A show may be fictional (as in comedies dramas), or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, reality television).
