After the AU Timeline's version of Western Spaghetti, Mr. L starts investigating TV Adware. If they'd left him alone, or even tried to approach him with one of their deals before this he'd probably have been up to a team-up, but now? Now they've lumped him in with those goody-two shoes morons even though he's clearly their worst enemy, and worse, they let that washed up has-been sports star turned Junior Villain with a fucking potato fetish play with him like a fancy doll! Nobody turns the Green Thunder into a puppet or a pawn (never again, not after what his debut game put him through), so if the Idiot Squad doesn't manage to take them down, or doesn't take the threat seriously, he'll do it for them.

But this man. This stubborn TV man. Is backtalking his own “Fatal Error” screen. No self preservation. It says you need to stop to prevent damage to yourself, Puzzles!

But also. I have Questions.

Who wrote this? Who are the software and hardware manufacturers in question? I always sort of assumed Puzzles cobbled his TV man body together himself. But it wouldn’t make sense for an error screen to say he needs to contact the manufacturer if HE is the manufacturer. Also Puzzlevision systems are getting updates that Puzzles is actively refusing. Claiming “I don’t need any”. Who’s making these updates to Mr Puzzles that he doesn’t want?

What is Safe Mode? Why is Puzzles so incredibly opposed to it? Insisting he doesn’t need it and replacing a word in the error message with nuh uh and then the capslock “NO”

He’s so?? I am wondering. To what degree is Puzzles in control? Like yeah, he resists doing any of the things the error message wants him to do, but someone is trying to make him do those things using the systems of his own body. So…

I mean, especially considering. Um… The Puppet Imagery. That just came out of nowhere.

Are the manufacturers of his body the ones that manufactured the demon keyboard as well? Did he fall for the same adware? MORE PARALLELS TO SMG4??? Is this some kind of eldritch Multi-Level Marketing? Someone recruited Puzzles and then Puzzles tried to recruit SMG4 but couldn’t (yet? Might still be trying to do that) and instead recruited Wren and Marty who tried to recruit Meggy and Mario?

Unity's behavior is embarrassingly greedy. Clearly trying to brute force their way into skimming revenue from every mobile game on the market -> pushing their adware onto every piece of software. It's been really disheartening to see every game development software company demand exponentially more profit the past few years. Especially since it comes at the expense of scaring away blossoming developers...

If you haven't learned to make games, but plan to - use something open source like GODOT, or at least an old version of RPG maker with a one-time purchase of a license.

If the owner of the IDE you're using would be legally within their rights to do what Unity is doing now you should assume that they will do it eventually too.

Tbh, I haven’t think that much about the au, I wanna figure out the designs first and then work on what things are changing, but maybe they would change their jobs

SMG4 Swap AU

Note 1. All existing characters (Nintendo characters, Sonic characters, etc) would keep their roles for my own sake, and because, how the heck would I change their roles???

Especially Mario because HE IS the avatar, so I would have to change smg4 and smg3 with other characters, but ain’t doing that.

Note 2. “Hey how would x ship work here?” And for my own sake we are going to ignore ships because I would lose my sanity thinking about that (this note exist because of @king-ghostfrog)

If I missed a character, two things: probably is a character I haven’t meet or “I forgot and I don’t know what to do with them”

The only goddamn reason of WHY I swap Puzzles with Marty is because who would else I would swap him? Marty IS the nearest option.

Also, zero doubts that I will change Rob and Jub Jub species or at least give them a pre-redesign design, just for funsies

TYPING QUIRKS/STYLES OF WRITING:

ADWARE: Annoyed boy. Sometimes he writes all lowcaps, sometimes CAPSLOCK, sometimes switches mid-sentence. Replaces "i" with "1" and "o" with "0", sometimes he doubles them (the 1 and/or 0) when he's in a rush. bas1cally he fuCK11NG WR11TES L1KE TH1S!! Also, he's a grammar-nazi.

COCCYX: It's almost impossible to understand what she says, she lives in her own world when she talks/texts, throwing random shit with no context given. She replaces the "o" with "°" and starts/ends her texts with (( and )). ((t° put it m°re simply, it writes like h°w it is written °n the devise y°u're reading this °n.))

DECREE: They count every text they did. Every. That's also why they tend to make text-walls, so to avoid making that number get too high. They ABUSE the "." and often WRITE IN CAPSLOCK what, in their opinion, is a KEYWORD in the text. 143: To explain it more simply. They WRITE like THIS TEXT I am showing now. 144: DON'T make them write TOO MANY messages!

COUGAR: It is more direct and of few words when it writes. It puts "<>" at the start and end of the text. <few words are better>

REMORA: He likes to make puns with sea and fishes, but it's not his style usually. He doubles the "m"s and "n"s, also he often abuses of "()". kinnd of like how imm showinng nnow (if you nnotice).
