I think that Jinx and Isha's relationship will parallel three separate dynamics:

1) Sibling dynamic - Vi and Jinx. Obvious parallel with Jinx being an older sister this time around. Perhaps it will make Jinx reminisce about her childhood and make her understand how much Vi actually loved her.

2) Parent/child dynamic - Where do I start? Jinx and her mom, Jinx and Vander, Jinx and Silco, Jinx and... Vi (yes, if you didn't notice, Vi was also a motherly figure for Powder after their mother's death). It will possibly make Jinx not just take responsibility but finally realise why parents protect their children at all cost and are ready to give up anything, including their own life.

3) Old/young self dynamic - Jinx and Powder - basically Jinx accepting and loving her younger self through Isha. It is the most important lesson she may learn, actually!

I mean this in an affectionate way, and obviously I'm sure there's exceptions, but one of the things I've noticed with reading a lot of YA is that female authors I think feel more comfortable veering close to toxic dynamics than male authors. If a story is enemies to lovers, it's probably more likely written by a female author. I also do think there's more variety in male romantic leads. You have books where it's like "I want a golden retriever beefcake." "I want a scrappy punk." "I want the world's saddest wettest freak." But with male authors writing a male protagonist, I do think there's kind of an overwhelming theme of, "I want a competent bitch."

i feel like li lianhua coming to love fang duobing goes hand in hand with forgiving his past self. like in the scene in episode 6, where he talks to his shifus grave and draws the parallels between fang duobing and you li xiangyi - he does it fondly. he calls him reckless, arrogant and a piece of work. he also calls him talented and he smiles while talking about him.

so while fang duobing matures A LOT (i've hardly ever seen a character with that much noticeable emotional growth and learning curve! we should acknowledge it more, he's no naive boy anymore by the end), atleast in the beginning he mirrors to li lianhua his own past self that the latter's been trying to bury so desperately. li xiangyi of the past who has made mistakes, who was naive (naiver even than li lianhua is aware of at this point) and selfish. but it feels like, over the 10 years of solitude he has started to accept his past, weaknesses included. and over the course of the show, while grudgingly coming to love fang duobing and all his quirks he learns to see value in those quirks the way he had them, as well.
