Javi watched as you bopped your head to your music, singing to its catchy rhythm. You were working on an assignment, occasionally looking to the left of your laptop to write something on your notepad. You were absolutely obsessed with this song, singing it over and over again, even singing the ad libs.

Javi leaned against the door frame and watched your lips move as angelic words tumbled out of them. He sighed softly and looked at you dreamily, his safe little haven away from the atrocities of his work. You were wearing one of his baggy tshirts and your fluffy slippers, hair twisted into a bun and a turmeric face mask on your face. 

Javi shifted to cross his legs and you finally noticed him at the door, your eyes widening as your hands come up to shield your face from him.

“Eek, Javi! Don’t look at me!” you squealed, pressing your hands to your face, smudging the mask all over the place. 

Javier laughed, “See mi preciosa, look at the mess you've made.”

He walks to your shared bathroom and comes out a few minutes later with a wet towel. He pulls a chair out beside you and drags your chair towards him so that you are situated between his thighs. He gently pulls your hand away from your face and places them upturned on his lap and begins to wipe your face.

You stare up at his handsome face as he gently rubs the turmeric away from your skin. When he was done with your face, he moved to your hands, kissing each fingertip as he cleaned them with the towel. He pulled you close for a hug when he was finally done, placing a feathery kiss onto your hairline and placing the stained towel aside.

Your heart swells with love and happiness as you snuggle close, your fingers gripping onto Javi’s shirt, your cheek pressed into his exposed skin where his buttons were opened as you felt the soft beat of his heart

“Te amo, roja.” Javi whispers, your heart fluttering with the tamil nickname. 

“Te amo, raja.” You whispered back. 

A message bloops on your laptop, bursting you and Javi’s little bubble and you sigh, sitting up straighter. 

“Go on baby, do your work, I’ll fix you something to eat.” Javi smiles softly at you, kissing your cheek before getting up and taking the towel with him. 

A few minutes later Javi returned, holding a bowl of fruit, a fork and a book. You smiled happily as he began to feed you fruit as he read his book, keeping you company as you softly hummed your favourite song while you worked.

You kissed him softly when you were done with the fruit, making him hum at the sweet taste of juice on your lips. 

He held your hand, playing with your ring as you continued working. The little white gold and diamond ring sparkled in the late evening light and he moved his hand around, making the light refract from it and bounce around the room. The ring was a gift from your mom for your 21st birthday and you never took it off and Javi loved playing with it. 

Javi kissed your finger and gently nibbled at your finger making you hiss slightly. He shifted closer to you, kissing your palm and your wrist, gently sinking his teeth into your skin, a sign that you wouldn’t be doing much work for the rest of the night. 

Still you ignored him and stared hard at your laptop, your free hand clutching your mouse tightly.

“Relax, amor, let me take care of you.” Javi’s lips grazed your ear as you sighed. 

You cave, melting into Javi’s touch as he curled his arm under your legs and lifted you up, carrying you to the bedroom, making you giggle softly into his neck.

Javi always wakes up before you in the morning. He sat up and stared at your sleeping figure, his eyes tracing your curves as they noted the love marks that he had carved throughout the night. Your hand was draped over your tummy, your red nails another reminder of the delicious marks that littered his back.

His eyes stopped at your ring again, the one that sat perfectly at the base of your middle finger. He began to imagine how it would be like to slip on another ring beside the current one. You’d definitely make a beautiful bride and an even more beautiful wife. He suddenly couldn't help but think that your name was written with his in the stars and he had the inexplicable urge to solidify it

You sighed in your sleep and turned around, and Javi leaned down to kiss your shoulder, shaking off his thoughts. He got out of bed when suddenly a nagging voice popped up in his head, urging him to grab your ring.

He frowned and shook his head

“Not steal it, idiot. To get her ring size.” the voice hissed again and his eyes widened

Javi gently dropped to his elbows and eyed your fingers. Before he could stop himself, his own fingers met yours and began to pull the ring from your finger. 

“Oh boy, we’re really doing this.” Javi thought as he gently placed your hand back onto the bed.

“Yes we are, doofus.” his mind voice spoke to him again. “Now run before she wakes up.”

You literally couldn't stop bawling your eyes out. You did not only wake up to the fact that Javier had disappeared and gone to work, but your favourite ring was missing. You've had the ring on your finger for about  ten years. It was one of the only things keeping you close to your mother who lives thousands of miles away. You sunk onto the floor after literally turning the entire house upside down, your hands clutched to your heart. 

You fell asleep curled up on the floor in exhaustion and woke up to an alarmed Javier kneeling in front of you.

“Sweetheart, what happened?” his soothing voice only made you want to cry again as he pulled you into a tight hug. 

“My ring…” your voice falters as you begin to sob into Javi’s shirt.

Javier’s eyes widened and guilt immediately rushed around him. He internally face palmed as he subtly felt his pocket for your ring. Instead of pulling it out immediately, he jumped into action, pulling your hand to eye level as if to inspect it. 

“Alright, calm down, breathe, it must be here somewhere, mi preciosa.” Javi whispered through your sobs and gently pulled you up with him. 

“Let's start with the bed, yea?” 

Javier sneakily pulled the ring out of his pocket as you frantically tossed the pillows.

“AHA! I FOUND IT!” Javier shouted and you immediately give yourself whiplash when you looked up at him. 

“Oh thank god!” you jumped onto the bed and threw your arms around Javier’s neck and he subtly breathed a sigh of relief.

“You worked yourself up too much, baby, come on now, let me run you a bath.” Javier said softly as he slipped the ring back onto your finger. 

“Thank you, Javi, I love you.” you sighed , wrapping your arms around his body. 

“That was close,” the grating voice whispered in Javier’s head.

“Shut up.”

It had been three months since Javi bought your ring. Every morning he would look at your ring, before shaking his head slightly and putting it back in his hiding spot. It wasn’t like you had anything wrong with you, he just wanted to find the perfect timing. 

Then one day it just clicked. 

It had been a long night for him, and he was exhausted the second he got home. His ears perked at the music that was playing the minute he put his hand on the doorknob. He threw the door open and his eye caught you spinning around, your arms thrown up as an upbeat song played in the background. You turned to look at him, running up to him to pull his bag away from him and he immediately snaked his arm around your waist to dance with you. Music consumed the both of you and Javier immediately forgot about his horrible day.

It was at that moment where he felt like his life without you would probably mean that he would have to live a horrible one alone. You let go of his arms and danced on your own, throwing your head back as he watched your eyes flutter close. 

He didn’t know how he ended up on one knee, the box ready in his hands as he looked up at you. 

Your music stopped and you huffed, stalking over to your laptop. 

“Baby, did we pay the Spotify bill-” you started to say when you noticed what Javier was doing. 

Your mouth dropped open as a soft gasp escaped your lungs. Javier felt so vulnerable in that few minutes, his mind racing as you both stared at each other.

“Marry me, kanmani.” Javier felt the words tumble out of his mouth in one breath. 

You know the moment you look at someone and your whole life with them flashes before your unfocused eyes? That was exactly what was happening to you. Birthdays, first days of school, graduations and anniversaries popped up in front of you as you found yourself living  a dream. 

You closed the distance between the both of you in a flash, wrapping your arms around his neck as one of your hands slid up his curls.

“Oh god, Javi.” you whispered as tears seeped out your eyes. “Yes, I will!” 

A choked sob escaped Javier’s mouth as he breathed a sigh of relief. He pressed his forehead to yours as he took your hand in his, slipping the ring onto your finger. Both of your tear drops mingle onto your hand and you pull away slightly to look at Javier’s beautiful brown eyes. You were positive you saw your whole world in his eyes as he pulled you close for a bruising kiss. 

“You okay, kanmani?” “I’m your kanmani hmm?” you giggle, pressing your nose to his. “Always and forever, en kanmani.”

Elle Goes to Shows: Chicago Heat Night 2

Notes under the cut! More spoilers for upcoming episodes in this one, so keep that in mind

Night 2:

When Tom Hannifan was doing his entrance, they started to play his normal music, then switched it to "SexyBack" by Justin Timberlake 😂. A fan asked him why they did that after the show and he was like "I don't know, I guess they like me? I'm not in charge of the sound" XD

Champagne Singh was on both preshows, and we had an excellent time chanting "CHEAP CHAMPAGNE!"

There was a random table with nothing but a tablecloth and like a water bottle on it in front of us and two random dudes that I'd never seen on staff before sitting at it. So we were like okay someone's going through this. We figured it was for the Bully Ray vs. Black Taurus no dq, but it was actually PCO murdering those two guys before putting Singh through the table RIGHT IN FRONT OF US ALKDJALDKJA. It was SO COOL!! Singh was bleeding a bit afterwards and I couldn't tell if it was a blood capsule, a blading, or accidental blood, but I hope he's alright.

I could not choose between Kushi and Speedy so I chanted for both of them and then thankfully there was eventually a "both these guys" chant. Their match was AMAZING.

They played a "live video" of Bully Ray up on the tron telling PCO he wasn't going to be in Chicago, so I started a cheer because yay no Bully Ray! XD

Eric Young's entrance is INTENSE AF in person.

There was a post match attack by The Design against Eric Young, and the ref ended up outside the ring, kneeling in front of us, and I think it was Deaner yelling that she sucked, so I yelled back "SHE'S COOL, YOU SUCK" and she turned back to look at me and went, "Right?!"

Ace cannot even move around the turnbuckle normally.

Partway through their match, Bey was legal, and he brought one of the Good Hands to the ABC corner and told Ace to put his boot up on the turnbuckle so he could smash the guy's head into it. The ref was like NO and so Ace stood back and smiled and was like she said no! So Bey was like, "okay I'll put my boot up" and did and the ref was like AALDKJADLKJ. Ace was so SMUGLY I'm good boy I'll listen to the ref! Then, once Ace was tagged in, if I heard him correctly, Bey said "Babyface? BabyACE! Put that on a shirt!"

Apparently Ace's hair needed to be pulled both nights.

Sabin was so intense in his match, serious faced the whole time. I fell harder for him.

After the show, we lined up for the titanium stuff. Deonna was casually handing out one of the things (signed pictures of Moose) and I was like !!hi!! and she smiled and hi!! XD

Then they handed out pieces of different signed table pieces from events. I got one that I think is signed by Masha and Jordynne from the episode where they had a table spot before a ppv match.

My brother made it over to the meet n greet before it ended, sadly I did not. He got a picture with ABC and he makes them look short XD. He told me that they were super cool to him and that he told Ace I love him, which is A) very embarrassing, and B) a lie.

My brother and I have loved Matthew Rehwoldt since his Aiden English days back in NXT. He was hanging around chatting with some fans after they wrapped the post show, so my brother decided to go up to him and get a selfie. I hung back, because I was scared. Then, I heard my brother putting me over to Rehwoldt and I was like aldkjadlkjadlkas and wanted to punch his arm so I went over and said hi and shook his hand. My brother and I were like we loved the Vaudevillains and I was like Shakespeare!! And Rehwoldt was like Yes!! and I was like I did my thesis on Othello and he was like that's awesome!!!! And I mentioned that people are always like "what do you mean you study classic shakespeare and watch wrestling?" and how I'm like they're the same fucking thing!!! And he was like yes wrestling is the purest form of theater, it's theater in the round every day!!! and we fistbumped. SO GOOD.

I told the owner guy my favorite person I haven't met is Speedball, and he was like "okay talk to me the first day of Bound For Glory and I'll introduce you to him" and shook my hand and I'm like ALDKA LDSK WHAT WHY but also highly doubt he'll remember that he said that and assume he will look at me like I'm crazy if I mention it. Another woman standing near us was like Speedball is so nice I do commentary with his wife for Effy's Big Gay Brunch and I was like ALKDJALDKJALDK HI.

Hi jwb, currently i am re-watching ipkknd, the scene where Kushi enacts as Manorama mami, Sanaya is a fantastic actress, and the small shock on arnav'd face when he sees Kushi dressed up as mami and beautifully controls the smile... This is one of the best comedy scenes in the show. Please give your thoughts on mami - Kushi relationship

Sanaya’s comic timing is really insane! And Barun is pretty good when he’s reacting to something hilarious - which is why they worked so well on screen!

Mami truly finds a friend in Khushi over the years cause there’s finally someone in the house who is dramatic, enjoys films and music the way she does. It began with Mami being the classic elitist person who snubbed Khushi immensely (also she probably didn’t like that her mother in law just had no problem accepting Khushi as a part of their lives even though she was employed by Anjali whereas she simply could t accept Manorama when she was employed by the Raizadas).

So it’s a bit of a sweet and sour relationship between the two which eventually turns for the sweet by the end of it.

Elle’s Unsolicited Commentary on BOSJ 30 Night 1

WHAT A SHOW. BELOW LIE THE COMMENTS I RANTED INTO MY PHONE AS I WATCHED, HOPEFULLY PROPERLY EDITED THIS TIME XD

Match 1 - Clark Connors vs. Kevin Knight: okay so my first thing is that when the bullet club music and it wasn't Ace I was sad because like my mind is just triggered to react to the "BULLET CLUB 4-4-4-4-LYFE" being Ace and Bey because I am an Impact girlie at heart. Also I'm sorry I still can't take Clark Connor seriously in Bullet Club mode. Will I get there are some point? TBD. Why is Kevin Knight's title upside down also how do he and Kushi see in those sunglasses. The way that members of the crowd laughed at Clark when he shouted "WHAT?" at them - it was a fun moment,  good fun heel work, ya know? Clark winning this match makes sense because it boosts his credibility as BC's newest member. Gedo, oh Gedo, why must you introduce a chair. Also why didn't Kushi come help Kevin :(?

Match 2 - Taiji Ishimori vs. Ryusuke Taguchi:  Taiji, I love you, I do, but that hat and the mask are just not it (to me, to each spider their own web). Yes I love Taiji but I am rooting for Taguchi to win unironically. Can't be mad at Taiji for winning, but rooting for Taguchi in the next one. I'm surprised he kept his promise longer than 30 seconds this year...

Match 3 - Dan Moloney vs. Bushi: skipped (no hate to either, I just only have so much time to fit nooj in)

Match 4 - Douki vs. Kushida: I just let out the dreamiest actual chin resting in hand sigh when Douki came out - the silver and black look on him is just chef's kiss I just WOW. Kushida, I'm so sorry you know that I love you but I must root for Douki. Very important Douki update THERE ARE SPARKLES ON HIS PANTS. Also I should probably mention the onion? That is part of commentary today? The crowd cheering for Douki has me emotional also it does appear we may have disheveled-hair-out-of ponytail-Douki, so I must thank Kushida for that. Douki's reversal on that submission! Avert your eyes his nosey is out I repeat HIS NOSEY IS OUT and he's in a double wrist lock so he can't cover it back up! This just in Douki is actually trying to kill me at the end of the match where after he gets the pin he rolls back and there's a close-up shot of him with disheveled hair like coming out of his ponytail while dramatically moving his arms in victory which emphasizes his biceps and also looking like he's suffered. Post match, first of all I love the little lyrics with the Just Five Guys song that's hilarious, second, DOUKI VICTORY 😭😭😭

Match 5 - Akira vs. Wato: Commentary mentioned Ace Austin and it hurt me stop mentioning Ace if you're not going to give me Ace. I'm not saying the timing of me saying that into my phone and then Ace posting on Instagram is like a thing but it is kind of funny. Also my son  Wato should be allowed to kill anyone he wants. We have the Young Lions acting as human guardrails which is a like that makes sense and glad they're doing it hope they stay safe also kind of adorable and funny and also also because Kyle Fletcher has a feud with guardrails does this mean he has to fight the Young Lions? The reversals and counters at the end of this match were really really fun also I love a win for my son.

Match 6 - Lio Rush vs. Sho: Sho coming out with the definitely not a wrench in a handkerchief. Classic. Also, I appreciate his dedication to the Yugioh card aesthetic with that jacket. Two things - first, Sho immediately breaking his promise to play things clean? Hilarious. Second, Kevin Kelly going "YOU LYING ASSHOLE" or whatever like that's me, XD. I ended up skipping to the end of the match but I do love that Lio won.

Match 7 - Yoh vs. Robbie Eagles: ZSJ's son coming out with Robbie Eagles is very cute. Said son also needs to stop with his cute little smile. Was not ready for sassy Yoh was not ready for sassy Yoh WAS NOT READY FOR SASSY YOH. Yoh's calves are visible his calves are visible why can I see his calves??????  Okay he just took his ring jacket stuff off and he's wearing shorts made entirely of Jean Pockets I think and also cute little fringed armbands. Yoh doing the air guitar and then throwing it to Tana was very cute. My poor Yoh :(

Match 8 - TJP vs. Titán: skipped Good for Titán on the win!! Also I am shocked that TJP gave him a high five (most reluctant slap of hand when offered a handshake ever but STILL).

Match 9 - El Desperado vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru: Commentary mentioning that Suzuki-gun is no longer a thing hurt me deeply. I knew that watching New Japan again would force me to recognize that this has happened instead of being denial like I have for the past several months but it still hurts.

Match 10 - Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Hiromu Takahashi: Chris Charlton is so correct: "I am blinded by his smile and his positivity." I'm so here for Chris fanboying over Speedball, he's SO RIGHT. Hiromu, dear strange cat man, this is going to be so good. CHRIS' DESCRIPTION OF SPEEDBALL'S PRESSER SPEECH IS SO ON POINT NOT ONLY FOR HIS SPEECH BUT SPEEDBALL IN GENERAL, THIS MAN WILL SMILE HAPPILY WHILE DEAD SERIOUSLY SAYING HE WILL DESTROY HIS OPPONENT AND IT'S SO. Speedball going for the handshake bow hug combo and then Hiromu pulling him in for the attack! Speedball's purple and gold gear is everything. THIS MATCH GOES HARD, AS EXPECTED. OH MY GOSH SPEEDY ACTUALLY WON I'M FREAKING OUT I DID NOT EXPECT HIROMU TO LOSE HIS FIRST MATCH IN THE TOURNEY BUT THIS IS SO COOL ALSO SPEEDY LOOKS SHOCKED TOO. Speedball, sitting next to Hiromu and reaching his hand out with the most desperate expression I'M FEELING EMOTIONS. HIROMU TAKE HIS FUCKING HAND. OKAY GOOD. OH WAIT, HE HELD UP A FINGER. HM. OH SPEEDBALL IS GONNA SAY WORDS NOW. AW I LOVE THE CROWD CHEERING FOR HIM. Speedball casually flexing Japanese, French, and English in the opening of his speech before going into English aldkjaldj. He's such a darling bean and I love him.
