Musical Touken Ranbu: Tsuwamonodomo ga Yume no Ato english sub

A passion project if there's ever been one, it's been a longstanding want of mine to finally do this! Needless to say, Tsuwamono and everything it meant is still my favourite plot from Toumyu! I love its character-driven and intricate writing, its heartrending acting choices, as well as the way it invites one to think about what characters think and why, and why they do or don't (dare to) do the things they do.

However, another important reason that I'm letting myself indulge in this, is that recent Toumyu has taken a turn away from this plot, changing the way how Mikazuki is framed, tying different characters to themes that were tied to Kogitsunemaru, and put those characters into roles that would originally have been most natural for Kogitsunemaru to follow.

In that light, then, I hope that these subtitles will allow you to see, even if it's just the smallest sliver, what I loved in Toumyu's take of Kogi and Mika up to and including Kotobuki. To see that it was beautiful. Because I think it was. 💙💛🌙🦊

Keep in mind that the files in the folder below are only the subtitle files, timed and tled to the blu-ray and DMM senshuuraku distribution. The folder also includes a pdf with translation notes, some background information where I felt it would add, and just a little bit of eager gushing about the references made.

It was announced the musical Touken Ranbu ~ Tsuwamono domo ga yume no ato ~ is going to be broadcasted on NicoNico! ^^ This is the first time it'll be broadcasted there.

Sometimes I feel like I don’t own that many 2.5D shows on DVD or Blu-Ray, because one quick look at my shelves reveals only two series: 

The Prince of Tennis (FIRST SEASON!) aka VERY OLD SHOWS

Touken Ranbu... musical and stage play. 

So, how much can it be? 

Admittedly, the 1st season of the Prince of Tennis musical series had 22 shows and including the Supporter’s DVDs, that’s good for a pretty large collection. However, I don’t even own half of everything that was released, so...

And both Touken Ranbu franchises are consistently delivering new content, but there can’t be that much, right? It’s been only 4 years since they started.

Out of curiosity I decided to list down everything I own and... I think I should stop feeling like I barely own anything. I discovered my 2.5D Touken Ranbu collection is already twice the size of my 2.5D Prince of Tennis collection! Literally! O.O At least it will be soon. Some discs are still in pre-order and will be released later this year, but... Also, two are currently “lost” in transit. (Hope they’ll be delivered soon.) Anyway, that’s a lot of discs!

[Announcement] Musical『Touken Ranbu』　　～Tsuwamonodomo ga Yume no Ato～ Live Viewing (DMM)

There will be a DMM Stream on January 30th (Tuesday) 2018! 

The official details on DMM haven’t been announced yet, but it’s set to start at 18:30 Japan Time (as posted on the Toumyu website).

The ticketing sales on DMM have started today! 

The ticket price: 3,600 yen 

The ticket includes: Live Stream & Delay Stream

The Live Stream opens at 18:00~ JST but starts at 18:30~ JST

The Ticket Sales run from: January 16th 2018 at 13:00~ JST until January 30th 2018 21:00~ JST (So you can still purchase after the show has started)

The Delay Stream runs from: February 2nd 2018 18:00~ JST until February 6th 2018 23:59~ JST
