My mom and I were walking our dogs and some guy whistled and yelled "hey sexy!" so I turned to my dog and said "did you hear that Duke? He thinks you're sexy!"

And my mom laughed so hard we had to stop walking.

My mom

My mom is one of a kind. She's caring and compassionate, hardworking and strong.

My mom is loving and wants to love. She's a good listener and has a big heart.

My mom is always here when in need, always wants to help and make sure everything is okay.

My mom is inspiring, a woman who has sacrificed, given and suffered.

My mom is in denial. She's delusional and scared, naive and greedy.

My mom is confused; a wrong - doer and a sinner. She's selfish and impulsive, stubborn and desperate.

My mom is money hungry, a compulsive liar and a grudge holder.

My mom is someone that no matter what, I'll always love.

It's a cliché saying, but it's true. No matter the hurt she brings, joy she spreads, love she gives or bad mistakes she makes, at the end of the day - she's still my mom.

My mom is someone that was once also a kid; a teenager and a woman in her twenties.

Just like me.

She is someone that was once full of hope, someone that had once dreamed about her life and aspirations.

Just like me.

Someone that believed in true love, wrote in her diary and wanted to be loved.

Now I'm here.

I'll probably be the same, just like she was.

A woman that is one of a kind, caring, compassionate and strong.

A woman that is hardworking, loving and a good listener.

A woman that is scared, naive and selfish.

A woman that is a wrong - doer, sinner and desperate.

Just like her mom was, and her mom's mom was.

Is it a curse?

Should it be broken?

Is that what it takes to be a mom?

Will I too, have people that will love me no matter what?

Just like how I love my mom?

My family story paints the picture of a different story. Boomers care more about society, and are more attuned to social activities than so-called adulting millennials. I’m a supposedly adulting millennial and have no way of escaping the vicious cycle of poverty other than with the good will of my boomer parents (your grandparents). I do have a way to get out, but it has to be without them, and that’s the rule. The BIGGEST distance creates the BIGGEST difference. Sincere. I need to stop being a parasite in their lives. And I want to be independent without hurting them. I’ve always been a thieving brat. And my parents didn’t even want to get a dog because I made them so miserable. They didn’t want to involve me so much with them, because they kept hoping I’d disappear. And I will disappear. I'm going to be posting more about my parents so stay tuned. Sum lame poetry too.
