Please feel free to ignore this, but I saw a (somewhat?) similar ask that you answered and had a question
I won't go into detail, but long story short, when we were younger we were doxxed online. This was used as leverage to "sell" us to random internet users. Like, if you don't do this, I'll leak your information, etc.
Does this count... as trafficking? We've never felt comfortable calling ourselves trafficking survivors because it was literally online. Again feel free to ignore this! Thanks anyway.
We made a video on tiktok a while back about the definition of NCSA and what it is and isn’t. If you have TT, you can watch it here.
TLDR: NCSA (non contact sexual assault) is when you are pressured to perform sexual acts for people online. It is often accompanied with grooming and blackmail (such as doxxing/threatening to dox).
If you were forced to perform sexual acts for people online, and you were sold against your will via blackmail by someone online, then yes, in my opinion this does count as trafficking. The definition of human trafficking/sex trafficking includes “exploitation of a person for labor or sex” and just because it was non-contact doesn’t mean you weren’t forced to perform sexual acts. In addition to being sold for monetary value to perform sexual acts against your will for others, I absolutely believe this can count as trafficking. The modern age of livestreaming and video calling makes online-only sex trafficking a real problem that is rarely considered or addressed in these conversations.
Anon, I am so sorry that this happened to you. And I am sorry that you feel conflicted about using the term trafficking because it doesn’t fit the standard definition. But if you believe the term fits your experiences and will help you feel more included in the conversation, then you can absolutely use it.
The New College Student Alliance (NCSA) functions as a three-branch student government. All New College students are automatically part of the Senate, where campus-wide voting and announcements take place. The first Senate meeting of the 2023-24 school year was held on Wednesday, Sept. 13. The meeting opened with a vote to approve fourth-year Cynthia Lucas as Senate President Pro Tempore. She…
NCSA Researchers Develop HarvestHub to Combat Food Insecurity
Researchers from the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) have launched a new app to
address food insecurity and supply chain issues. The app, named HarvestHub, is designed for mobile devices and aims to support those facing food insecurity by improving food traceability.
The NCSA genomics team and Visual Analytics Group created HarvestHub. The app is intended to heal COVID-damaged supply chains, assist farmers in increasing production, and deliver food to families in need.
Recognized for its outstanding efforts, HarvestHub received accolades at the 2023 National Agricultural Marketing Summit in Arlington, VA. The app was praised by state and local MarketMaker collaborations, which contribute to local and regional food systems, helping farmers connect to new market opportunities.
tw: underage nude sharing, underage erotic roleplay, underage sexting, possible victim blaming, discussions of rape and molestation
hi! im seeking support, reassurance, and resources, mostly. but i also just want to get a few things off my chest. ever since i was seven i would engage in erotic roleplay often involving rape and non consensual scenarios with much older guys. i didn't really know what i was doing, i was a very hypersexual child for reasons unknown to me and i didnt have any outlet other than social media. for some reason i was obsessed with the idea of being raped and molested, i feel really ashamed about that still. i felt really gross after doing it but i kept going back anyway. when my parents found out they said it was my fault and that those men couldve gotten in trouble because i lied about my age and tricked them, which i still believe was wrong of me to do. but the violent and angry way my parents reacted really affected me and that whole situation really ruined my relationship with sex and my trust in my parents.
when i was 14 i willingly started sending nude pics of myself to older guys who asked. they knew how old i was and i never lied about that. i stopped after a few weeks because i started feeling physically ill from the shame. my parents never found out about the whole situation but that was around the time when i thought i could tell them about how traumatizing the whole "thing that happened when i was 7" was for me. they git angry and told me i had no right to claim it was csa of any kind and that it was a slap in the face to real victims. it really hurt me and i havent told them anything since.
its been a year since then and recently ive actually started sending those pics of myself again. im really ashamed over it and i dont know why i keep doing it. the guys are all aware of my age, so im not lying now either. i feel weird and embarrassed about it but i dont feel like i can actually call this sexual abuse or grooming because im doing this on my own accord. im scared to tell my friends because i dont want them to look at me differently. i cant tell my parents because i know how angry theyll get. i dont really know what i want.
anyway, my ending question is: is this actually sexual abuse if i quite literally asked for it over and over? is there a name for it? im scared i wont ever be able to live a normal life.
thank you so much, sorry for this shitshow lol, and have a nice day ❤️
Hi anon,
I'm so sorry to hear about what you've been going through. Please know that it takes a lot of strength and courage to not only endure these experiences, but to reach out and seek support.
It's worth self-reflecting on what you seek from these interactions, whether that's regaining a sense of control, seeking validation and praise, reenacting earlier trauma, or other reasons. Please know that none of what you experienced is your fault, and it wasn't right of your parents to blame you instead of the people that harmed you. That being said, you deserve to work towards choosing healthier alternatives to interacting with these men.
It's important to recognize that children cannot consent. Even if someone willingly puts themselves in a situation they know may be dangerous, that doesn't make them any less of a victim because either way they are still being abused and still deserve compassion, understanding, and patience. What happened still counts as SA. Experiencing these things as a child counts as CSA, and it happening over the internet qualifies it as NCCSA, or NCSA as an adult. Sending nudes of yourself as a minor counts as CSE, CSEM, and CSAM.
If you can access or afford it, a mental health professional such as a therapist could best help you process your trauma, collaborate with you to develop some healthy coping mechanisms, and guide you along your healing journey.
I hope I could help and please let us know if you need anything.
One of your neighbors, a tall muscular man your wife says is absolutely gorgeous, is NCSA-Certified Personal Trainer. He has offered your wife –well … and also you, but in with a different time schedule– some free sessions at his home and to create a individualized workout program for her. Today, she’s having her first session. It seems that she hasn’t chosen the most appropriate attire … unless she has in mind a session of a very, very, special kind of workout.
Hi,I hope you’re doing well. I started a fundraiser on GoFundMe and it would mean so much if you could take a look at it. Any help, like donating or sharing, gets me closer to my goal. Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.https://gofund.me/0ebd0b6a

I stumbled upon some long forgotten disk images stored on my computer, the actual disk images themselves date back from around 2008 when I was only a teenager. One of the disk images contains an installation of Macintosh System Software 7 which first debuted in 1991, but the version I have installed is 7.6.1, released in 1997. Here are just a few applications I have installed. Screenshots taken on Basilisk II, a Classic Mac emulator available on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Hopefully these photos are in order.
First screenshot at the top left is just a blank desktop with no running applications, except a window that says "About this Macintosh" which shows you how much memory individual applications are currently using. It even tells you how much memory the operating system is using, which is just a little over 2.5 MB. I decided to allocate 8 MB of RAM for the emulator but you can allocate more if needed.
Second screenshot located in the top center is from an application called Scrapbook, showcasing a graphic of the world's continents. A simple application to keep some of your favorite images or sound clips in. However, there was no true organization in Scrapbook so in order to find media in this program, you had to click the back and next buttons to view and find content, you couldn't categorize your media. Not all media and sound formats were supported, for instance dragging a JPEG wouldn't do anything. In the background is a Finder window showing various folder and application icons.
Third screenshot at the top right is Microsoft Word 5.0. No bloat, no nagging about subscribing to Microsoft 365, just productivity. This version dates back to 1991, making this version of Word older than I am!
Center-most screenshot is from one of the earliest web browsers available in the early 90s called NCSA Mosaic, showing a sample website that came bundled with the browser. Although it was not the first browser in existence at the time, Mosaic was instrumental in popularizing the internet to the masses. This version dates back to 1994, I was only two years old at the time and was unaware of the impact the internet would have in the world over the years. The browser eventually lost marketshare to Netscape, and Mosaic was discontinued in 1997.
Bottom photo is a screenshot from a simple dirt bike game called... Dirt Bike. Looks like this was developed by an independent developer. What else is there to say about it? You ride a dirt bike around and you can even create custom paths if you want to make the game even more exciting.
If this post gets decent traction, I'll get around to posting more screencaps of what I have in this disk image, even some of the schoolwork I did in it!

The New College student Senate meeting on Nov. 8 yielded a few new updates for students, including an announcement about the proposed Cultural Picnic, an update on the Indigenous Land Acknowledgement Statement and possible changes to the New College student Forum.
The first agenda item was the Cultural Picnic update. The Cultural Picnic was an idea originally started on the Forum, with students…
