I'm just gonna start by saying if Disney doesn't renue this for a second season they are stupid and will have missed out on a harry Potter level phenomenon.

- Ares just threw him like hulk did loki

- annabeth having to hold Grover back is so important to me because he's wanting to help percy but Annabeth knows this fight is to the death and any interruption would just get Grover killed.

- Annabeth also knowing he needs to prove himself as the son of poseidon and discover who he is.

- "let's kick the son of poseidon into a puddle right near the sea" I now understand why Athena is battle strategy and Ares is just war.

- THAT TSUNAMI JUST PARTING FOR PERCT US ICONIC AND HE JUST RUNS AND SWOOPS AND CUTS ARES

- my only critique is that Percy never does any movements to show its his power (which ik this is accurate to the books) but it comes off a little like he's just calling on Poseidon to do stuff. I wished they had some sort of indicator that it was Percy like maybe a slight movement or having the water pull back from the puddle he fell in and into the sea.

- I did think the fight was a little quick tbh but it still worked.

- the way I screamed "close your eyes close your eyes close your eyes!" When he was about to show his true form.

- woooh Hades helm

- The cabin looks fuckung terrifying rn

- I haven't seen the end of credit scene yet but I'm predicting it's going to be Sally with Gabe's statue.

- Alecto just wanted to get tho boss his hat back!

- Annabeth trying to stop Percy from going because they're friends now and she's worried for his safety. I love Leah she is AMAZING.

- honestly adding Clarisse as a traitor and using that to get Percy and Luke alone makes more sense to me given that they know someone at camp stole the bolt.

- Sally divorcing gabe is much much better than her just turning him to stone because it gives the message that she now recognises her son can look after himself and now she doesn't have to protect him anymore.

- GABE ASKING THE LAWYER HOW TO PICK A LOCK IS SO FUNNY

- I really like how it's his own hate for percy and everything percy has that gets him killed rather than straight up homicide. It really sets the idea that people like that will find their own downfall (which is ironic bc this trope is commonly used in ancient Greek tragedies)

season one of percy jackson is stunning. It's a masterpiece even with the changes and whilst there was definitely some timing issues and the cut to black became annoying, it was very, very good. If it is renewed for another season, it has a lot of potential, and I will be very excited to see how they adapt The Sea of Monsters for screen.

OMG HEAVY ONE THE "...continuing to say such stuff will only irritate them even more. >_<" There are several points in each of the diaboys routes were Yui could've left them alone and be good for that day but noooo ( ｡ •̀ ᴖ •́ ｡) for example in Kanatos HDB Dark prologue this man literally wanted to be left alone in peace to look at the rain but then Yui comes in trying to make conversation he keeps the conversation curt then she offers to make him a drink then he proceeds to pour the hot drink on her hands 😮‍💨. Also for clarification I understand it's for the plot and that those scenes are just to demonstrate that Yui is kind person who's always concerned for others but at the same time YUII THEY'RE VAMPIRES (also I dont condone victim blaming sorry if it came off like that!)

No girl, you’re not doing any good to the Mukami brothers like that, you’re just feeding into their delusions…. Karlheinz never felt bad for any of his actions (otherwise he would have rewinded time) and he merely used everyone for his plan. They deserved to know the truth about him.

Another scene is from Ayato’s LE route in which Yui goes to Ruki and Reiji, who are their ENEMIES there, and is like: “Ayato-kun is feeling lonely 🥺” but ends up getting made fun of and bitten by Reiji. I get that she was trying to help but not only did she put herself in danger but I also can’t believe she genuinely thought Reiji and Ruki would care about Ayato feeling down when she was supposed to know their personalities already. On top of that, the fact she went there all alone without telling Ayato, made him get mad at her, given that he felt abandoned and wasn’t expecting her to suddenly return bitten by someone else. Honestly, he absolutely ate when he told her this:

oh my god ok OKAY so. i had this fic idea rolling around in my head and the premise was basically like. the aftermath of twst events that didn't feature jamil or azul really heavily / only had small cameos but it was just jamil n azul reflecting (and maybe bonding) afterwards.

this whole thing was inspired by azul getting rejected by eliza in the phantom bride event LOL bc i thought jamil would get a kick out of it. i wanted to cover more events like wish upon a star (which i might talk about in a later post) or harveston or port fest but the phantom bride part i have like. Fully mapped out.

i only have this excerpt because. i lost motivation but if anyone wants to take this fic concept and do it justice they can :3 id just like to be tagged and credited

full outline is under the read more because God it is long. sorry. its also kind of incomprehensible because im incomprehensible about these two

but the ficlet for the first event, phantom bride, was going to take place a few hours after where the event canonically ends. jamil finds out azul got sooo rejected and laughs at him under his breath for a bit. says its because eliza could sense that he was fake as fuck all the time. azul gets frustrated and flustered bc the guy he wants so bad is currently mocking him for having NOOOO game. he's like "yeah well. you didn't participate b/c of kalim so you don't know what impossible standards she had"

jamils still used to deflecting when it comes to his competence so he'd dismissively say that of course he wouldn't have been a suitable candidate to woo the ghost even if kalim was guaranteed to not be involved. he's not that kind of guy. azul's Jamil Bullshit radar is ACTIVATED. he immediately insists that jamil absolutely Could've swayed eliza into wearing the ring and starts praising all of jamil's qualities with such a Genuine belief in jamil's abilities until jamil is the flustered one trying to beat azul's compliments off of him with a stick.

this part is really funny to me because in my head there's a scene before where jamil is telling azul that his approach failed because he always came off as disingenuous. and then here in this scene azul's so genuine that jamil's taken aback and in his head he's like "if he approached eliza the way he's approaching me NOW there's no way he would've failed." and then he promptly refuses to think about the implications of that thought for the rest of the fic. lol

anyways through the power of lovebombing and a few appeals to jamil's competitive side, azul goads jamil into demonstrating how he would've approached eliza to get the ghost sealing ring on her finger. jamil's pretending to be a suitor. one of jamil's rings (he's a jewelry guy no way he doesn't have a few rings) plays the role of the ghost sealing ring. and of course azul is the Substitute Eliza in their little pretend scenario so we get. these two indirectly flirting with each other in the weirdest fucking way possible. roleplay.

also there's a funny bit of azul mimicking something eliza actually did mid-scenario and jamil breaking out of character to be like "No Way ok Time out no way you aren't fucking with me right now" and azul responding like "no she really did say that" and jamil getting the most longsuffering expression on his face before slipping back into his princely character.

azul enjoys being the one "chased" by jamil for a change but he's always cognizant of the facade jamil's wearing while playing the role of eliza's prince. knows that that's just as much Not the true jamil as the "dutiful servant" jamil was, and is in return so totally lovestruck by how GOOD jamil is at being manipulative. not even swooned by the princely way jamils acting. he's falling head over heels for the fact that he KNOWS jamil is acting and in reality could not care less and yet is able to pull off such a convincing display. because azul's fucking crazy and his taste in men actually sucks so bad he sees all the red flags in jamil as fun little collectibles. he's mentally like "its so frustratingly attractive when he says something with that little smirk smile and we both know he's lying straight to my face but i cant call him out on it." GIRL. YOU ARE SO FAILCRINGE

on jamils end of things. yes he is pretending to be a "prince" for "eliza" but he's also hyperaware that this is azul pretending to be eliza for the sake of the scenario so. he gets a little sneaky. a little underhanded. starts doing and saying things that are targeted to catch Specifically azul off guard so azul gets flustered and breaks character for a split second. this is solely to fuck with azul and has Noooo other reason behind it (nevermind the fact that there is a giddy feeling jamil gets when he's able to crack the facade azul wears to see the real, vulnerable azul hiding underneath).

they go back and forth for a while, jamil pushing forward relentlessly while azul pulls away but always stays close (a complete reversal of their usual dynamic). but then jamil says something that's so completely him and definitely not part of the facade and azul forgets himself for a moment, forgets that they're playing pretend. lets his guard down completely. from jamils perspective, this startles him a little because he wasn't expecting it and he certainly wasn't expecting for azul to seem so convincingly enamored by him (it's because azul actually is but like jamil's kind of operating under the assumption that azul is incredibly fake all the time) and he REALLY doesn't know what to do with the realization that he likes the way azul is looking at him right now a lot more than he probably should like attention coming from someone he supposedly hates.

so he panics internally, shoves the ring onto azul's finger while azul is distracted, and tells him he can stop acting now because jamil proved his point that he Could've gotten the ring on eliza. azul snaps out of it and is like "ah. Yes. Acting. I'm so good at it Wouldn't you agree jamil" (hes pretending his inner monologue rn doesn't mainly consist of distressed dramatic bitch wailing and screaming. hes embarrassed abt being so vulnerable when they're both supposed to be acting he wants to crawl into an octopus pot and never come out). jamil's reply is smth like "yeah yeah whatever of course you're used to acting b/c you're a fraud" (his inner monologue also sounds like distressed screaming btw. less dramatic and more Full of dread and horror). moment of awkward silence where they just aren't looking at each other but azul's hand is still in jamil's (since jamil had to take his hand to put the ring on). worst handholding experience ever. 0/10

jamil breaks the silence. "i prefer it when you're not acting". on the surface its just a casual dig at azul's role at eliza but like THE WAY he says it. means something more. azul picks up on that, thinks back to all the times during the scene where jamil got him to break character for a second, the smug satisfaction on his face when azul sputtered or faltered. his first conclusion is "he wants me so bad" because he's delusional but then he reels it back a little and only says "i prefer your true self as well." jamil knows what THAT means well enough. he's starting to get suspicions that their dynamic isn't just "guy who is trying to exploit someone he sees as an opportunity x guy who fucking hates him because the other guy is a slimeball". he isn't sold on azul's intentions being all that pure though. he needs to bide his time, hang back and see whether this moment was a fluke.

they r still holding hands btw. neither of them has pulled away yet. jamil's the first to look down and Acknowledge it, silently swiping his thumb over the ring on azul's finger. drops the other's hand. says very nonchalantly that azul is going to keep the ring. azuls like "? haha i couldn't Possibly keep this. it's your ring". jamil smirks. says "keep it as a consolation prize. and a reminder of how badly you embarrassed yourself today". looks up through his eyelashes to watch for a reaction. azuls head nearly explodes. jamil knows in his gut that once azul recovers he's going to be Fucking Insufferable for the next few weeks flaunting that ring around everywhere and playing up the bond between himself and jamil but as he leaves, he can't find himself caring all that much about that as long as the other Does wear the ring.

ok then I imagine that the reader child they are very attached to their father they support Betra but very reluctantly, in an attempt by the reader's father to unite Betra with his children he schedules a small playdate and leaves them alone, at At first the reader was quite happy playing with Betra she says something about it getting late and the reader's eyes fill with tears and they says something like:

reader: noooo don't leave me! I want to play with you forever!

Then the reader's father appears and the reader forgets about Betra, as if she had vanished into thin air, the reader runs into their father's arms yelling "dad!"

She'd be shattered that small ray of hope she finally had hearing you say you wanted to keep playing had her heart stop in her chest she was ready to just sweep you in her arms in excitement but it's taken from her when your father walks toward the both of you.

The way you just drop your toys on the ground with a small thud and how your eyes immediately brighten upon seeing your father watching as you stand up and run towards him as fast as your legs allow you to.

You always did prefer your father she doesn't blame you she was never the best mother to you always so distant and angry, you've got to atleast give her some credit she's really trying now, Maybe a hug or an I love you every once in a while would be nice that's all.

"Are you ok?" Betra's thoughts are cut short as she stares at your father before responding "oh yes I am I was simply thinking about something is all." She stands up dusting herself off before heading towards him giving him a quick peck. She takes a quick look at you seeing you tightly clinging onto him your face on his shoulder. Sighing she backs away sitting onto the couch your father following suit basically sitting ontop of her.

She turns on the tv picking a movie out to watch feeling dejected upon remembering the scene "There is always tomorrow." She can't help but think to herself.

As time went on she continued trying to get another moment like last time with hopes that your father wouldn't show up and steal you away, while she was almost successful a couple of time your father always had that timing with showing up out of nowhere and just snatching you away it had gotten to the point she finally just gave in and told him about her plan.

Just expect to see your father a lot less than usual with Betra being your main caretaker during this time as a way to speed up the process, even if it does take sometime and your father taking extra shifts at work in the end she feels as if it'll be all worth when you finally treat her the same way you treat your father.

Until that time comes she'll just continue doing what she's been doing even if it causes her to have upper back and neck pain when you asked to be put on her shoulders for hours on end.

The sacrifices she makes for your approval can be quite questionable at times but no one speaks of those. Not yet at least.

Let's see about the time line: The post credit scene happens during ep8, so that's right after Nont has barged into Nuth's flat and has threatened to kill Phop, if Nuth won't tell him what happened to Nant. The three of then end up having a more or less normal conversation about Nant and Nuth shows Nont the suicide clip.

Later on that day, Nuth and Phop are all happy again in the kitchen, doing their laundry. Phop even says that he's not mad about Nant. The post credit scene of ep14 continues these events.

So now that means on that particular day, Phop must've thought Nant is already dead, right? Since he thought the suicide clip was real. Which then means that Phop mistook Nant for Nont in that dark alley? Did Phop actually intent do kill Nont, maybe to protect Nuth? Or maybe Phop was really angry at Nont for the whole "being held at gunpoint" thing?

Another possibility is that Phop mistook Nant for Zouey. After all, Nant was wearing Zouey's clothes at that time. Then the question is, why would Phop want to kill Zouey?

And in case Phop recognized Nant and was aware of the fact that the suicide clip was fake: Maybe he wanted to kill him because he feared Nant would try to get back with Nuth? Since Phop was already super attached to Nuth, he decided that Nant had to go for good?

Or: Someone hired Phop to commit this murder? As we know now, Phop has large amounts of debts. So maybe someone forced him to pick up this kind of work. Wouldn't be too weird, since Aob pretty much did the same dirty work in the past. But who hired Phop? Jason? Zouey?

Either way, the guilt about this accidental (?) murder must've contributed to Phop's own suicide. Ah damn...

We still don't know more about the clip Phop gave to Nont though. Phop said it's the real reason why Nant died. So... What's the reason?!

You know, for the end credits I was hoping that maybe we'll see Nora, Ren, and Oscar. Like a scene where they are working helping people and suddenly Nora stops, Ren and Oscar try to get her attention but nothing. They turn to where she is looking and there they are, they're lost friends. And maybe Ruby saying something simple like, "Hey guys" and maybe a big hug from Nora.

(I am just copy pasting my thoughts from discord so they might be messy. also sorry if im incoherent. i have a different interpretation about fnaf games than most other fans, but thats mostly irrelevant since the movie is a different universe than the games)

it was good! i enjoyed it for what it was! nothing is even sticking out to me as “negative story elements” other than stuff that was like. “oh no people better not interpret this stupid in relation to the games” like vanessas relation to william or the fact that mike is carrying around a book that says “Dream Theory” on it (this has an explanation in the movie tho, its not related tot he stupid ass “everything is a dream” theory. its because mike witnessed his little brother getting kidnapped (by william) when he was young, and the dream theory is that “everything youve ever seen is stored deep in your memories, dreams can be a way to unlock those memories” and hes trying to remember the face of the kidnapper, he needs closure and to figure out what happened i enjoyed the storys focus on mike and his little sister (theres a plot about how like. mikes aunt who is “mean and smells like cigarette smoke” is trying to take abby away because money reasons, neither mike nor abby want this, its a custody battle) and theres themes about like. mike needing to accept the past (what happened to his brother was horrible but he cant do anything to change that now, and he needs to protect his sister Right Now because she represents like. whats most important to him and his future Now.) i enjoyed that i also like that the animatronics arent just fucking evil! they kill people but only like. bad people who broke in and vandalized. they tried to hurt mike and also they tried to kill abby, but its explained that springtrap is manipulating them to do that. the kids dont wanna hurt anyone but hes tricking them into doing it. and i enjoy how at the end, to beat william abby has to make the animatronics remember how bad he is and that hes the one they should really be hurting lol theres a scene where the animatronics build a giant blanket fort with abby

i liked vanessa. shes not a murderer or anything, more similar to the nightguard vanessa (though obviously a movie au version). she was williams daughter but she hates him. at the end of the movie he stabs her and she has to be hospitalized because she was trying to save mike and abby from dying :( that “animatronic” with open face plates right? dont worry its not an actual aniamtronic. its like. a killing machine william made. so it has an in universe explaination. its just a freddy mask with spinning blades in it lol um also fetch (i'm not sure if it was actually fetch because it looked a little different)had a cameo and i lost it. also bella. the little doll henry made. except in this she was big enough to be like. a small animatronic (like the size of a real child), she had spring locks in her. balloon boy had 3 jumpscares (including one after the credits scene. it was funny) i liked all the references. there would be small references that were like. nods to the fans the only one that made me go “NOOOOOO” was. theres a scene in a diner. and the guy who takes their order was MATPAT and it took me like 20 seconds to notice and he said “well thats just a theory” and then he left. i hate mat pat but i have to admit thats funny for them to do there were like 3 swear words. ass, asshole, shit

also while it was a little annoying. it was funny that i was in a theater of over 100 people because everyone yelled at the same time like “NOOOO” when a character hides in a ballpit. or laughing at the same time. theres a part where a girl is putting her head near freddys mouth and she gets killed and everyone shouted “WAS THAT THE BITE OF 87?” or everyone going “AWWWWWWW” When its revealed the animatronics are friendly and that theyre gonna build a blanket fort together. idk it was fun. everyone screamed at tlt fnaf song

the animatronics were cool looking! i enjoyed them :) the eyebrows and eyelids made them very expressive!

their eyes have lights in them to make them glow. they look soft…. i enjoy how their facial features move? like theres a scene where like. freddy looks so mad like hes gonna kill mike. and then abby is like “freddy this is my brother mike hes a fried! :D” and then the way they have the animatronics face move naturally to make it look like a fond friendly smile? very cute and i liked it

It's gonna be an interesting mix, honestly.

Especially with the entire show just being focused on the symbolism of the first episode with them exchanging hearts/souls... or, specifically, with Thi stepping on Noey's heart and then giving him the soulmate charm.

It's goofy and silly but also already a little sweet despite itself.I'm down for it despite myself.

End of Season Review: Bungo Stray Dogs (Season 5)

I keep telling myself that I'm not going to bother keeping up with this series anymore... and yet here I am again.

Season 5 was honestly kind of a mess. While this season doesn't try to haphazardly shove in a light novel story that wastes precious episodes, the story still felt rushed as hell. We're given no time for plot points/developments to sink in, or for any character development to stick; because uh oh--we have to rush on to the next plot twist! It's maddening.

I am also deeply unhappy with how the ultimate big bad was handled, both in their character motivation and their fate. Their reason for doing evil things was so dumb (in my opinion) that it made the entire two-season arc felt pointless in hindsight.

I also dislike that BSD just straight up forgets about most of its major female characters. This was pretty noticeable in previous seasons, but it's downright egregious here. (The end credits shot of [redacted] and [redacted] just felt like such a slap in the face since they didn't even... contribute anything to the last half of the season?!?)

Season 5 does finally wrap up a rather long arc that was kickstarted in season 4, but it does so in such a way that it strains ones' suspension of disbelief. A of stuff that happened in the final episode (episode 61) felt like such asspulls. If season 5 had simply ended with a (sorta) satisfying conclusion, then that would have at least been fine--but noooo they had to put in a random cliffhanger moment featuring scenes so ridiculous that I wanted to throw my hands up in the air.

While I did enjoy season 5 slightly more than season 4, the only good things I can really say about it are that the animation is still top-notch, and the Aya's presence is greatly welcomed. (She's the real MVP for sure).
