Can we please have some jaune fluff that new episode did a number on me and my friend…
Reese: Alright, you're stuck on a deserted island. What are three items that you bring with you? I'm bringing a solar charger, a bag of flaming hot pico's, and my hoverboard. I'll be flying that baby straight back to land.
May: A knife, a tarp, and a fire starter kit.
Neon: Toilet paper, a flare gun, and my scroll with all my favorite music on it.
Jaune: I'd bring- uh... *suddenly gets bashful*
May: What is it, Commander?
Jaune: Huh? Uh, nah sorry it's nothing.
Neon: Doesn't sound like nothing. Com'on Stud, what are you hiding?
Jaune: It's gonna sound stupid out loud.
Reese: Well fess up, Stupid! Keeping me in suspense here!
Jaune: W-well, its just when you asked that, the very first thing to come to mind was to bring... you three.
NRZ: ...
Jaune: See I told you guys, it was-
Neon: *Face in her hands, blushing from the cuteness* How can one dork be this genuinely sweet. God I just want to shrink you down add you to my plushie collection.
Reese: *Fighting back tears* Y-yeah, dude. How much more cheesy can you get? F-fuck my eyes are sweating bad.
May: *Already hugging Jaune* I change my answer, I'm bringing three Jaunes.

South African Railways Class ‘GMAM’ Garratt articulated locomotive № 4083  at Mercer (2021).
Built for South African Railways (SAR) by Beyer Peacock & Co (7681/1956), 4083 passed to Enyati Colliery’s railway, and then to the Randfontein Estate Gold Mine (road number R3) before being purchased by Ian Welch of Mainline Steam Inc in 1996.
Although the SAR network is built to the same gauge as New Zealand (3′ 6″ 1067mm) the structure gauge is bigger than NZ’s meaning any and all SAR locomotives cannot clear station platforms, tunnels and bridges. This did not stop Mainline Steam from steaming 4083 once in the late ‘90s when they were still living at the (ex-)NZR Diesel Depot in Parnell. ‘Course it only went like 2-5m within their grounds, but still.
Sister locomotive R4 (4135) is preserved in Ceres, SA & Mainline Steam are also working on a smaller Rhodesian (Zimbabwean) Railways (NRZ) Class 14A Garratt for use on the mainline.

400G DR4 QSFP-DD
400G DR4 QSFP-DD optical transceiver module achieves the transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF) with an MPO-12 connector. It supports a max transmission distance of 500m on SMF.
400G FR4 QSFP-DD
400G FR4 QSFP-DD optical transceiver module supports link lengths of up to 2km SMF with a duplex LC connector. It uses wavelength division multiplexing(CWDM ) technology, eight channels of 53Gbps PAM4 signals on the electrical side, and four channels of 106Gbps PAM4 signals on the optical side, which is twice the rate of the electrical side.
400G LR4 QSFP-DD
400G LR4 QSFP-DD optical transceiver module is designed with a built-in Gearbox chip that multiplexes the two channels' electrical input data into a single-channel outputs signal and then modulates it to the optical receiver end. The digital signal processor (DSP) basis gearbox converts eight channels of 25GBaud PAM4 signals into four channels of 50GBaud (PAM4) over an SMF cable with duplex LC connectors. It supports a transmission distance of up to 10km.
400G LR8 QSFP-DD
The 400GBASE-LR8 optical transceiver module supports link lengths of up to 10km over a standard pair of G.652 SMF with duplex LC connectors.
 400G ER8 QSFP-DD

Advantages of 400G QSFP-DD Optical Transceiver Module
Backward compatibility: Allowing the QSFP-DD to support existing QSFP modules (QSFP+, QSFP28, QSFP56, etc.). It provides flexibility for end-users and system designers.
Adopting the 2x1 stacked integrated cage/connector to support the one-high cage connector and two-high stack cage connector system.
SMT connector and 1xN cage design: Enable thermal support of at least 12W per module. The higher thermal reduces the requirement for heat dissipation capabilities of transceivers, thus reducing some unnecessary costs.
ASIC design: Supporting multiple interface rates and fully backward compatible with QSFP+ and QSFP28 modules, thus reducing port and equipment deployment costs.
Applications
400G QSFP-DD optical transceiver module is used in 400G Ethernet, data centers, telecommunications networks, cloud networks, Infiniband interconnects, high-performance computing networks, 5G, 4K video, IoT, etc.

Samsung GDDR7 Memory for Next-Gen Graphics
Tumblr media
GDDR7 Graphics Card The first GDDR7 memory modules that will power the upcoming next-generation GPUs that will launch later this year have officially been listed by Samsung. Samsung Announces GDDR7 Memory Officially: Next-Gen GPUs Will Now Sample 28 Gbps and 32 Gbps DRAM Samsung is among the three memory producers that will provide graphics suppliers like NVIDIA, AMD, and others with their next-generation GDDR7 memory solutions. The other two, Micron and SK Hynix, have also shown their current-generation devices and hinted at the potential of the new standard, which offers pin speeds of up to 40 Gbps and densities of up to 64 Gb.
GDDR7 Speed Regarding Samsung, the corporation intends to adhere to a more rational 16 Gb density, permitting a 2 GB VRAM capacity per module. Thus, the capabilities will essentially remain unchanged from the graphics cards of the present generation. Every module will have a refresh rate of 16K/32ms and a 32-bit wide bus interface. The 266 FBGA package will include the GDDR7 memory modules, which are presently available in two speeds.
GDDR6 vs GDDR7 They have both the low-voltage optimized 28 Gbps die and the conventional 32 Gbps die. Very likely, only a few high-end models or their refreshes would have 32 Gbps pin speeds in the first version of GDDR7 GPUs, which would use the 28 Gbps dies. Both will be a significant upgrade over GDDR6, which has a maximum throughput of 24 Gbps and maximum throughput of just 22.5 Gbps on certain GPUs, such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER. That is a speed gain of 42% for the 32 Gbps and 24.5% for the 28 Gbps.
Additionally, Samsung recently showcased its GDDR7 memory modules at GTC; as of right now, they are in the sample stage. Some of the setups you might anticipate with 28 Gbps and 32 Gbps modules are as follows:
GDDR7 Release Date The first GDDR7 graphics cards will most likely be released later this year when the new memory’s manufacture picks up speed. The client graphics memory market as a whole will be starting again, and everyone is excited to see where it goes.
Excellent speed for more applications Extending the reach of GDDR GDDR7 is a significant advancement in computer graphics that may be used in graphics cards, gaming consoles, automobiles, HPC, and
It is the first DRAM to enable PAM3 signaling. Its 20% boost in power efficiency and 30% increase in speed make it the best option for a wide range of applications. Additionally, it delivers improved reliability with a 70% reduction in heat resistance because to newly developed packaging materials and an optimized circuit architecture.
With all these features GDDR7 is essential for AI Greater speed, made possible by PAM3 The fastest performance currently offered by any standardized graphics memory device is provided by Samsung’s GDDR7. The first use of PAM3 signaling in the industry allows for this performance. With PAM3 transmitting 1.5 times more data in a single signal cycle than the traditional NRZ technique, GDDR7 outperforms its predecessor by 30%.
Optimized power use to guarantee economical operations GDDR7 increases power efficiency by 20% by optimizing power. This kind of optimization results in a 50% reduction in standby power usage, which lowers total power consumption. Customers’ total cost of ownership (TCO) is lowered as a result of lower expenses resulting from less power use.
Ultimate stability Gain from increased dependability. With the help of improved circuit architecture and innovative packaging materials, GDDR7 reduces heat resistance by 70%. This enables it to reduce overheating, which averts possible hardware problems, performance loss, and product deterioration.
FAQS What is Samsung GDDR7? The newest graphics memory technology produced by Samsung is called Samsung GDDR7. Its purpose is to provide significant improvements in performance over earlier generations, such GDDR6.
What are the benefits of Samsung GDDR7? A few advantages of Samsung GDDR7 are as follows:
Quicker rates: GDDR7 produces a bandwidth of 1.5 terabytes per second (TBps) with per-pin speeds of up to 37Gbps. Compared to GDDR6’s 1.1 TBps, this is a significant gain.
Enhanced energy efficiency: GDDR7 uses 20% less energy than GDDR6 even with its faster speed.
Improved thermal performance: To reduce heat resistance by 70%, Samsung used innovative circuit designs and packaging materials. By doing this, performance deterioration and overheating are less likely.
How fast is Samsung GDDR7? Samsung GDDR7 has two important speed metrics to its name: Per-pin speed: The data transmission rate for each individual memory chip pin is referred to here. Samsung offers 28 and 32 Gbps GDDR7. Bandwidth: This represents the memory’s overall data transmission capability. The remarkable 1.5 terabytes per second (TBps) of bandwidth provided by GDDR7 is a major gain above the 1.1 TBps GDDR6 provided. Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM3) signaling method is what gives GDDR7 its greater speed. PAM3 permits transfer of 50% more data in a single cycle as compared to the conventional Non-Return-to-Zero (NRZ) approach used in GDDR6. This corresponds to a 30% increase in performance over GDDR6. Remember that GDDR7 is still at the research stage and that industry demand will probably determine when it becomes available for consumer goods like graphics cards.

Oh so Jaune speaks Spanish. That is pretty cool as someone Hispanic. I can see Maria speaking Spanish and while the rest of the team don't understand her, Jaune can.
I can already see Maria asking Jaune increasingly embarrassing questions just to mess with him.
Maria: So, Jaune. ¿Cuál de estas chicas te gusta? (Which of these girls do you like?)
Neon: What'd she say now?
Jaune: *Blush* S-She's just saying you're all so pretty!
NRZ: Awww!
Maria: *Cheeky grin* Sus palabras , no mías (Your words, not mine)
Jaune: *Blush* ¡Basta! (Stop it!)

Seit Hamas-Überfall: Drastischer Anstieg antisemitischer Fälle in NRW | #Hamas #Überfall #NRW #Antisemitismus
Antisemitische Vorfälle in NRW haben sich seit dem Terrorangriff der Hamas auf Israel am 7. Oktober versiebenfacht. Das berichtet die Neuen Ruhr/Neuen Rhein Zeitung (NRZ, Samstagsausgabe) unter Berufung auf die Recherche- und Informationsstelle Antisemitismus Nordrhein-Westfalen (RIAS NRW). 29/03/23:
Maybe we weren’t such terrible people, maybe we were just young.
The drugs. The rage. I could last days out in the dark. Fighting, skating, street rats. We all had the world in our hand and we lived life more than anyone.
The skating. We would spray paint NRZ on every doorway and doorframe. I miss the abandoned warehouse, the courtyard, and every construction site. I still have all the keys to the forklifts that we never got a chance to drive around.
From the top of the old bridge, we spilled our guts on one another, and we compiled them together, so we all shared the same heart.
And i still walk those paths at night, but now just on my own. A story known by so few.
